I came in with a group of friends to watch the superbowl last night and we had a great time. This was a great alternative to hosting and we got to see a couple people we knew also spending their Super Bowl Sunday this way. We ordered the usual apps, drinks and burgers. Everything was good, but the onion rings were beyond! I would come back to specifically order them with an ice cold beer. The food was fine, which is what I am expecting from a place like this. Noting specifically special, but their service is where they stand out. Cheyenne was our server and she was great at remembering everything and serving us in such a quick and efficient manner. The reason why I am writing this is truly because we all watched the halftime show together and it felt like an experience I would have in my own home. The servers and staff hovered around us and the big TV. Everyone was welcome and just as excited to watch together. This was a truly special moment, reflective of the restaurant's hospitality. It's a small chain with a local feel. The service is good, we sit in the bar area when we come. The food is pretty good as well - it's bar food. I recommend the chorizo queso - Yum! I never get a picture because I'm too busy eating it! We keep coming back - so that's something :) Drinks are on point! read more

Went in this last Sunday before taking my kids to camp. There was a table with one less person that walked in the same time we did. They were paying their check by the time we received our order. The waitress was smug and said "sorry about the milkshakes taking so long" as if that was the issue. She took our drink order and didn't check on us for like 20 minutes. My wife and I were overly polite and couldn't even get a courtesy smile out of the woman. Just rude, like she was annoyed we were sat in her section. Very strange. Food was just ok. Although it had been several years since we last visited Times Grill, my wife and I met family there tonight and it was very good. This is certainly the place to go for an elite burger on the Northshore. Our party of six enjoyed several of the Times' signature hamburgers and all were enjoyed. Service was welcoming and efficient and the relaxed family atmosphere made for an enjoyable evening. Times Grill is now our go to spot for burgers. read more

I've lived on the North shore for the last 35 years, and I absolutely love the beautiful chemistry of a perfectly executed burger.... Times Grill has alway earned a place in every burger fan's top five around here, and rightfully so. Unpretentious, but well kept and ordered; a good, cool, clean place to eat and relax. On my last visit, I found the restaurant as neat and clean as ever, and my waiter was close to perfect. within ten minutes of being seated my drink order was taken and delivered, and my food order was already in the kitchen. My Achilles Heel - a swiss mushroom burger, medium rare. I didn't want a mountain of fries with that massive burger so I negotiated a few onion rings instead for very little upcharge to the price. The iced tea - crystal clear and the perfect strength. The onion rings - piping hot, looking home-made, NOT frozen. Greaseless and crispy. The burger - Everything about the burger was really good. EXCEPT THE BURGER ITSELF. It was well done, dry, and with no discernible seasoning whatsoever - really bland. What a shame. The bun and the toppings were spot on.... I've had too many fine meals here to say "never again", but I sincerely hope that the kitchen gets the message... read more

Friends told me about this place so we decided to call in an order and they picked it up. So, ambiance of Times is nice and pleasing. Service was good and fast(again, we just picked up). Food was good. Pasta and Jazzy BBQ sandwich are the worst two items pictured. The fried chicken sandwich was real good. The fries and BBQ nachos were excellent! It was a burger, nothing special. The food is decent. I cannot recommend it really. If you want a burger, try Triple Nickel Grill. The one in Madisonville is better and than the one in Mandeville. Mandeville has a family owned style to it while the other one is fancier. The service at Times grill is horrible. The only thing you need to do at times is times to leave now. read more

I came in a couple weeks back. I ordered the Times burger when I went there. Came out decently quick but the burger had no seasoning at blandest burger I have ever had in my life no joke had to dip in bbq sauce every bite. I moved on to the fries hoping it was going to be better. Nope taste like frozen bag fries and I'm sure that's what it is. For the price you might as well go somewhere else if I'm being honest I would rather a five guys burger all the way. The service was decent when I got there the host was in the back and a waiter had to seat me at the time and I sat down and seen her go back up to the stand and she was sitting on her phone... DO YOUR JOB the waiter was alright as well she was just doing her job nothing special ... bathrooms were clean place was clean but it was also super dead when I went. But overall... will never be back maybe it was just the day I went but I'm going there to eat good food and the fact that they think they have the BEST burgers is truly diabolical read more

Although I do not live on the North Shore, I visit often, as my in-laws moved there a few years ago. On Sunday, 30 JUL 2023, I was attending my godchild's birthday party and 9 of my family members (including my family) wanted to grab a quick bite to eat. A Yelp search showed that Times Grill was only 1.2 miles from our location, so we decided to give it a try, as none of us had ever eaten there before. The moment we walked through the door, there was no mistaking that you were in a burger restaurant, as it totally smelled like burgers cooking. We were seated fairly quickly, and our server arrived shortly thereafter. As we had just left a party, we did not get any appetizers, as we all had eaten a few snacks at the party. Seven out of the nine of us got burgers, as Times is apparently known for their burgers. Having so many choices, I was initially undecided on what burger to get, but eventually settled on the "All Jacked Up" burger, which is an 8 oz. burger topped with sautéed onions and "jacked up" Pepper Jack cheese. I also added a fried egg on the burger, which really was the perfect topper. It was good to see that they didn't skimp on the cheese, because it looked like 2-3 slices of melted gooey goodness. I like medium rare burgers, but usually order medium, as I find a lot of restaurants tend to undercook their steaks and burgers. Times was no exception, as my burger came out perfectly medium rare, so beware when ordering. When getting a burger, your one side item options are French fries, Times potato salad and creole Cole Slaw. I almost never get French Fries, so opted for the potato salad, as my wife was getting the Cole Slaw and I knew I'd get to try hers. The potato salad was good and it didn't have too much mayonnaise. It was a little on the spicy side, which I like, but I think most people would prefer a more subdued "less spic / normal" offering. The Cole Slaw was definitely on point and not soggy at all. Our server, who's name escapes me, was good. She checked on us periodically, split our checks into 4 separate parties and gave us drinks to go. Staff wasn't receptive to my order. At least 7 tables had trash from previous customers you could feel the arrogance coming off the waiter that look like Justin Timberlake. He thought he was better than everyone else. Burger came out pink. They offered to "reheat it" even though it wasn't cooked thoroughly and when it came back out it pretty much just look like they put it in the microwave or oven completely ruined whatever was left on the plate. read more

Placed a to-go order last night for my family. Thirty minutes after ordering, I arrived at the designated pick-up time and received a text notification that my order was ready. I went inside to the designated pick-up area and waited a few minutes for the worker to appear. She did and said the kitchen was still working on my order. No problem. Then I waited 27 more minutes until the order was ready. During that time, the employee disappeared for up to 7 minutes at a time, but she was kind enough to at one point offer me a complimentary water while I continued to wait. I understand kitchen's get backed up, but 30 minutes beyond the 30 minutes after order is a bit long. The most disappointing part of this experience was that when I arrived home with my order, every single dish was COLD! How could it have taken 1 hour to prepare food yet sit long enough to become cold during my 3 minute drive home? Unacceptable, and we will not be returning. read more

Last night I ordered a swishroom burger "medium". We mentioned to the waitress that it had to be pink and juicy inside (as they have overdone them in the past). Well, you guessed it, it came thoroughly overcooked and it also had a fresh and cold slice of swiss cheese inside. I showed the burger to the waitress who was thoroughly sympathetic and agreed with my plight. She removed my well done burger and returned it to the kitchen to request another. In the meantime, my wife and daughter had their meals. When my new burger arrived, it was an exact duplicate of the first one. I was then told the kitchen had a new cook who was obviously learning the trade. I said the manager either had a cook who didn't learn how the prepare a burger or needed to be watched a little more carefully during his initial employment. Well, that suggestion was relayed to the manager who was kind enough to visit us and once again agreed my burger was too well done. For a bill that was over $100, I was offered a $5 coupon on my next meal. Really? It will be a long time before we return. We have been regular customers for about 30 years and just can't abide the inconsistency anymore. When they get it right, the burgers are excellent; however, too often they are seriously overcooked and resemble hockey pucks. For $100 for 3 people? I think not. read more

I came here with my parents last night, so this review is pretty fresh on my mind. For starters, I have a severe gluten allergy and alerted my waitress of it (her name was Peyton). I was going to order the chicken Caesar wrap, but the tortillas all have wheat. Instead, I opted for the blackened chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I thought it would be safe. My plate had two pieces of bread that touched the chicken. Fortunately, I had my Gluten Cutter pills; otherwise, I would have been sick before leaving the restaurant. Though the restaurant was busy but not swamped, I feel like someone's food allergy is something to be taken seriously. I believe it was simply overlooked when the staff should have addressed the issue at the time my order was placed. (I live in Houston - any restaurant I dine at there results in the manager coming to discuss the allergy with me to ensure there isn't cross-contamination.) Other than the allergy, our food was excellent. It would also be great it they would mark gluten-free menu items. read more

More than making up for that was our great server, who kept us posted well and obviously enjoyed being there. Our sever Jen wasn't the best she seemed a little out of it. Definitely the most ditsy server I have ever had, I had to wait long periods of time for refills and when I got it she had given me regular coke. I'm also a diabetic so I had to then call my doctor and get an emergency appointment. My chicken was over under cooked , which wasn't an issue until the sever said the chicken was "medium rare" I don't even know if she realized it was chicken. Nice ambience. We decided to try the Times grill again. I was in the mood for a burger and the Northshore's selection isn't very good. The Times Grill is a place I really want to like, but I somehow always end up disappointed. We arrived around 5:40 and were seated immediately. The restaurant was not crowded at all, and only had four other tables occupied. Our waitress came to the table and asked for our drink orders. Here is where things started to go downhill quickly (warning, rant ahead). I order a kid's lemonade. The server tells me "we don't do free refills on lemonade, we make it ourselves". Seriously? Is there some reason this needed to be pointed out. Do I appear to be someone who would demand free refills of a kid's lemonade? I blow this off as a comment from a young, inexperienced server. Next I ask for a water with NO lemon. Why I have to order this way is beyond me. If you want a lemon you should have to ask for it, not the other way around. I want water. Not a lemony glass of yuck. What does she bring? A water with lemon. Awesome. We order an appetizer and the server disappears. A good deal of time passes and she returns for our entree order. Again she disappears. She returns with our appetizer and we ask for more drinks but she forgets. We had to flag her down to ask for more drinks, but this time she returns with the drinks. Once our entrees were ready a food runner brought our food and we ate, paid and left. The food was inconsistent. We ordered their appetizer sampler, soup and salad, kids chicken and a cheese burger. The appetizer sampler came with cheese fries, fried pickles, fried mushrooms and fried cheese. All items were very good. The soup was very good. The salad was well made, but the blue cheese dressing was described as "funky". The kids chicken was edible, but was over cooked. Most remained uneaten. The burger was the highlight of the meal. This ranks as one of the better burgers I have had on the Northshore. I ordered the plain burger with pepperjack. It was cooked perfectly and tasted great. This burger is the reason I am giving two stars. Had the service been better and the other items been more consistent I would have rated four stars. If I had to rate individually, the service would have been one star and the burger would be four. I noticed a sign that said one dollar draft all day, every day. This may be a redeeming factor along with their hall of fame burger. Apparently they offer a pound and a half burger for 17.95. If you complete it, you get your photo on the wall. I see the potential of getting some guys together and going get some beers while trying to conquer this monster burger. Other than that I will probably not return. Our bill was $50 with tip. I tipped 20% even though the service was poor. I dont know why I do this, but I do. The server deserved 10% at most. By the way, that no free refill kids lemonade was $2.25 for approximately 5 ounces of drink. At that price we should have gotten a regular sized glass. read more

Had a great meal here last night. Met daughter and SIL there. Hubs and I get their regular burgers with cheddar cheese; he gets onion rings and I get fries and share. Can't go wrong... always cooked to order and consistently good. They are 1/2 lb. Patties and we both take home half for another meal. Daughter went for healthy meal with baked marinated chicken and vegetables. She thought it was good but typically chooses the more bland dishes. SIL got the Warrior Burger which was huge, standing about 5-6in. Tall! He ate every bite, (his golf game really made him Hungary). Overall, we experienced great service with a good meal and the guys were happy to watch football games on one of several tv's. It's a little loud but expected at any sports bar type place. read more

We've eaten in times many many times over the last decade. It's one of my husbands favorite places to eat. One of my biggest complaints even before the pandemic was the cost in relation to what you get and the nickel and dime for everything! Want a side of honey mustard, well that's an extra cost. Today was just a letdown, the only thing I really like there is their chorizo con queso that comes with the pita chips. What a disappointment, no more pita chips just some stale greasy nacho chips and my queso was not even warm. His was ok, but noticeably smaller plate wise. After a 40.00 bill and pretty lackluster service, we won't be back for a long time. Just not worth it anymore when we can go somewhere else with better service and much better food plus it might even be hot when we get it..... read more

This is a really great place! The food was served hot and fast! We barely had a sip of our drinks before the entrees were brought out and this was DURING AN LSU GAME! They weren't slow by any means... Highly impressed with this spot. Great staff. I'd recommend to anyone in Mandeville area. Not to mention, 100 out of 100 health code score! That's always a plus. This is a nice restaurant with fair food. They claim to have been voted best burger on the North shore for over a decade. If that is true, the competition must be weak. We all ordered burgers. The burgers are at least 1/2 pound. I ordered mine medium and it came out slightly pink, but pretty dry. The selection of burgers is pretty good with several good choices. The selection of sides was also pretty good. The food is really not bad, just nothing special. Service was friendly. Speed was average. Ambiance is good. read more

Not a HUGE fan of Times Grill, but work was ordering and I decided I'd like a chicken sandwich, despite having red beans in the fridge. It was a treat, I ordered the swiss mushroom grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries & extra pickles! I enjoyed it, but it's just your typical "bar food", nothing exceptional. Ordered kids menu, waited forever, waitress stated it too a while to cook hamburger, the manager wasn't any help, said she'd give me 50% off. When I paid, I did not tip, the waitress came back with receipt, through it down on the table, stated loudly that she didn't get a tip but got me 50% off.
