I didn't have the greatest experience here for my first time. I came here on a Sunday morning during Labor Day weekend. We gave ourselves an hour and a half, enough time to eat and get to our next planned and scheduled event that day. So, we weren't in a rush. We get in the quickly moving line to order our food at the counter. I order a salmon bagel and the hubs ordered a meatball ciabatta. We sit down and I noticed it is a very busy place. It is a very large place and I noticed how clean everything was and how efficient all the workers were at getting the food out. One after the other, food was coming out like an assembly line and the food looked good, too. But the assembly line apparently stopped, no orders were coming out, and we waited about 20 or 25 minutes. At least we had our drinks because it is a counter service type establishment. We noticed stacks and stacks of 'to go' orders were being placed in the counter area. After nearly 35 or 40 minutes we get our food. Some guy had ordered a 'football teams' worth amount of food. So, although it was not the restaurant's fault, it was frustrating the timing that our order was f course put in right after the guy that ordered 20 dishes. I get my bagel to try to eat quickly, since now we are in a little bit of a rush. And the bagel couldn't have been more complicated to eat. I just wanted a complete lox bagel but it was a deconstructed bagel where I had to put the thing together. I would have enjoyed the meal a little better had my bagel been properly served, like for example, the way Flour Moon serves their bagels to customers. I don't know if we will be back because I rarely visit the Northshore, this was a special occasion. I guess if I do come back, I would like to try one or two of the desserts from the case. Coffee Rani is one of my favorite lunch spots! I visit every time I'm in Mandeville. They have a large menu, mostly sandwiches/soups/salads. They also have a breakfast menu. Everything I've tried here has been amazing. The salads are always fresh. This visit I ordered the bacon apple and brie croissandwich and it was SO GOOD! Might be my new fave order here. I also LOVE their frozen lattani coffee. You order at the counter and food is brought to you. We had to wait about 20 minutes or so for our food, but definitely worth the wait. There's indoor and outdoor seating, the patio is great when the weather is good. Def will continue to come back! read more

Now this is a spot that deserves the spotlight! Around 7pm on a Saturday night a friend and I were in need of a bite to eat, that included a sweet treat! My friend called to confirm that they had a Lemon dessert. Brittney confirmed they had one slice left. She agreed to save it for us. Upon arrival, we asked for Brittney and let her know we called about the lemon dessert. She went and grabbed it for us. She had a note on it that read " Reserved for special VIP guest!" Brittney knows how to make a customer feel special! Now this was just the start of the amazing customer service! Brittney had an amazing personality. She was engaging and offered suggestions for meals. Not only did she offer suggestions/ she gave detailed descriptions of the items. I opted to try the mushroom burger exactly the way she suggested it. My friend ordered the pesto crusted chicken sandwich. For dessert we had the pistachio cake and the lemon leche. We ordered everything to go since they were about to close. However, the place is so cute and I. Look forward to returning and having a dine in experience. Now, let's get to the good part!!! I have been here 4 times for breakfast. Food: It's good. I have only ever gotten the eggs, bacon, grits, toast, coffee and tea. So, this review is only reflective of that food. The only point here is the grits lack flavor. I can make them better at home, but not a huge issue. All other food was fine. It could be better if the egg yolks were over easy runny, as they were a bit cooked through for over easy, but again that's just being specific. Coffee is great. Tea is wonderful. I appreciate real teas and they do use higher quality tea blends and leaves here for the sachets. Tea blend is pleasant and enjoyable. Menu placement and organization could be better as a visual, but not a complaint issue. Service is fine. Staff is fine. No issues. I will return here when in town in the mornings. I also recommend eating here to others. Nice and simple, comfortable, homey, welcoming atmosphere. read more

They had fantastic daily specials which I'm always a sucker for. And they place tons of paper table liners on the table so you have a fresh and clean surface when you're seated. Crawfish monica, pesto crusted chicken pasta, pesto crusted chicken sandwich, and the rani burger were what we ordered. Everything was pretty okay as everyone in the party finished their food. My burger was ordered medium, but it came out well-done. The chicken in the pasta and sandwich were a little on the dry side, but tasty enough to choke down. After visiting EWC located in the same mall, I stopped in for lunch at Coffee Rani's Mandeville location. This is one of the few places in town that actually serves a variety of craft salads and that was exactly what I needed. I ordered the Jamaican Jerk Salad and it was excellent. Although I didn't really taste the jerk seasoning come through, the dressing was the perfect balance of sweet and savory and complimented the variety of fruit, vegetables and proteins in the salad. While I came here for the salad, the soup specials caught my eye and I ordered a cup of their mushroom soup as well. The soup was similar to a bisque with creamy consistency and slight sherry sweetness? The cup was massive, so maybe next time I will have to just share this or order it alone. I'm not from the area and wanted an iced matcha. I was informed they don't do matcha, which is wild in 2025. The coffee choices are very limited for a place with "coffee" in the name. I was here for the first time last week. Ordered the Rani Tuna Poke Bowl and was blown away by the presentation and combination of flavors. So much so that I forgot to snap a picture. I will be back for sure to rectify that. The service was very efficient and the staff was friendly. Order and pay at the counter, get served at a table, first come, first serve. The ambiance of the restaurant seems very busy at all times, so the noise level is pretty high, but they do offer shaded outdoor seating to get away from that. Food was really tasty! I had the croissant breakfast sandwich, and my wife had the avocado toast and both were excellent. Front of house staff was very quick and friendly. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star is because we did have to wait 35-40 minutes for our food. It was on a Sunday during lunch, so they were quite busy. They rarely answer the phone when trying to place a to go order and they're always packed so you need to wait 15-20 minutes for a to go order. The salads and sandwiches are good but very pricey. The teas and specialty drinks are very good. The desserts are not very good and not at all worth the price. I would 100% skip dessert here. Coffee Rani has nice outdoor seating options during this time. There are several tables outside, approx 7-8. Most of the tables are shaded outside and there are fans. The servers were all wearing masks and our drinks were refilled while outside. The healthy grits were tasty and were fairly filling and a decent value. It was a bit upsetting for my friend to keep finding small hairs in his breakfast though, so I'm not sure about giving them another try for a long time. read more

Great place for afternoon lunch! My friend and I came here to meet for lunch, and they were packed. I soon saw why. They do an incredible job. They have a variety of fresh pastries baked in house, salads, sandwiches, soups, wraps, and specials. The staff were all really friendly, and they took great care of us. I ordered the Reuben, and my friend ordered the chicken caesar salad. Our food came out pretty promptly, and it was hot and fresh. The Rueben was served on grilled rye and was so tasty. Also loved the potato salad and the homemade chips that came with it. I will go back here next time I'm on the North shore around lunchtime. 5 out of 5 stars quickly. Cheers! read more

My sisters and I went here around Christmas time to order their delicious cakes. We were having such a great time that I didn't even realize I left my phone there. Upon arriving home I then noticed my phone was missing. My stomach dropped since it was going to cost over a thousand dollars to replace and I was visiting from AZ so it was going to be a huge inconvenience. I had zero hopes of ever finding it. My quick minded sister called coffee Rani just to check and to our pleasant surprise, they informed us that it was in fact still on the table. We sat in the back corner of the restaurant so it wasn't noticeable to passersby. I'm grateful for the honesty of the staff members at this restaurant, they restored hope in me that day. I've always been a fan of theirs when I lived in New Orleans and will always be. I can't wait to come back and visit again to enjoy my favorite, the carrot cake. read more
