First time I went to Cantaritos was 3 months ago. I had Beef Fajita Nachos & flavorful refreshing Cucumber Margaritas which I'll never forget...totally amazing! I recently revisited Cantaritos since I was in town again. Once you walk in, you are immediately greeted. Once seated, complimentary homemade chips & salsa is served. Queso dip is also served complimentary on Monday & Wednesday. The chips are perfect, light & crispy. Salsa & queso are just as tasty! It was time to explore the menu, so I decided to order the Carne Asada. I gotta admit, It was the best Carne Asada I've had in a very long time. The meat was perfectly prepared, tender & full of flavor. Rice was good, but I was especially impressed with the Charro Beans....so good! I would highly recommend the Carne Asada to anyone! So after two awesome memorable dining experiences at Cantaritos, I'll be looking forward to much more visits!

I have never found another that surpasses it. I get it every time, then I try one of the other sauces so I don't get stuck in a rut. I must say, they are all pretty good. The Caribbean Jerk is very well done. Most of the seasonal limited-time flavors have been good. The restaurant itself is pretty typical of the BWWs I have been to. It is large and high-ceilinged so it is loud and echoey even if the crowd is small. On a game day (Saints) it is deafeningly so. The service is hit or miss. We have had wonderful service and only so-so. Never what I would call truly bad though. There was a time when the service here was sloooooowwww but that seems to have turned around. The draft beer selection is very good - I have to respect any place that has Pabst Blue Ribbon on tap. Getting takeout has been painless. It has its' flaws but in general I always enjoy my experiences here.

The fries were seasoned well because I requested extra fry seasoning as a precaution. They were the only things seasoned well. I got the lemon pepper wings as the first flavor option. It tasted like a whisper of lemon and oil. That's it. My best friend ordered the Mexican street seasoning on their portion of the wings, but again the seasoning wasn't there. My husband ordered the Cajun wings and said they were just okay. I'll come here again during different hours to see if they can do a better job with less of a crowd. The employee told me she sent my receipt to the manager, but that turned out to be untrue, and I couldn't get a refund no matter how many times I followed up. After weeks of calling, they finally gave me another order on 9/16 not the refund I repeatedly asked for. The store itself didn't help the situation. The area around the counter and drink station was messy, which matched the quality of the food. The chicken looked disgusting, especially the naked fried pieces, and the fries tasted like they were cooked in old grease. Nothing about the meal felt fresh or cared for. After everything, the poor service, the dishonesty, the mess, the terrible food, and the long wait for any kind of resolution I can confidently say I won't be returning to this location.
