Nice cozy spot. Not too large of a space but feels very comfortable and homey. Food was delicious, excellently prepared and perfectly seasoned. Every entree was wonderful. Our server was friendly and helpful. We came on a what appeared to be a busy evening. Service was a bit slow and it took awhile for our items to make it to our table however we were not in a hurry and it was well worth it. I'd recommend coming here on a chill night when you are not feeling in a hurry. It's a great place to enjoy wine, relax, and partake in a delicious dining experience. Looking forward to coming again

My wife and I went there while visiting family in the Omaha area. Our first impression was a charming, relaxed atmosphere. We were met by Lisa who treated us with such respect and hospitality. She introduced us to others and shortly afterward, Chef Wilson came out and introduced himself and that was the beginning of a wonderful dinner. They had an extensive wine selection and also numerous non alcoholic cocktails. all of which paired quite well with our dishes. We had Foie Gras and Brie Josette for our appetizers. We had Duck Confit and a specialty dish of Seafood and Pasta for our entrees. We had a lemon parfait dessert to top it off. I can't say enough good things about our experience and the quality of service and food we received at Le Voltaire. We will dine there every time we are in Omaha.

Our 1st time sitting belly up at the bar for drinks & apps! This is a really nice, classy & romantic restaurant (usually a 2 hour dining experience). They have a nice bar by the entryway that seats about 8. It's OK to go by yourself or catch up with someone and enjoy a drink or 2, get an appetizer or dinner! The bartenders are friendly & take the time to explain any questions you have. They were offering a new drink called Brooklyn Sour: Rum, sour mix, Hibiscus simple syrup & red wine float! Great Concoction! We shared one of our favorite apps-smoked salmon with French bread! Very fresh! This quick dining experience worked well for us & is a nice option to have!

The food was incredible, and the flavors were stunning. We got the sample appetizer and it was such a nice way to try new things. It's a quiet little place, which is always nice. And the service was great. They even had some extra full loaves of bread at the end of the night that they gave us so they wouldn't have to throw it away. Absolutely will be back.

Great meal. Everything was excellent but the Rabbit Pot Pie was over the top. Great service and nice wine selection. Chef was super nice and visited our table. I'll be back next time through Omaha!

Food was so delicious. The Coq Au Vin was so flavorful and fall off the bone. It's a little small on the inside, but filled with great food. The chef came out to wish my friend a happy birthday which was very personable and kind

First time here, the ambience is nice and cozy, the server were knowledgeable and the bar tender was fun to talk to. Made a good old fashioned with Cognac. Bread and butter is very French (although French don't have butter with their breads ). Ordered the mushroom blue cheese soup, salmon, chicken and Lamb Parmentier. Lamb was amazing, rest of the food items were great as well. Server was good and fun. Would come back for sure. Little bit on the pricier side though.

I love Le Voltaire. Actually, it's my favorite restarant in Omaha. I've been here more times than I can count, and I'll continue going as long as they are still around. I've tried other French spots in town, and truthfully, they can't compare. The atmosphere at LV is small and quaint. There's a French "vibe" throughout, a small bar area, and a larger back room for bigger parties. The cocktail selection is good, and according to my girlfriend, their wines are awesome. Most of the staff I've spoken with have actually spent some time in France, and if I remember a conversation I had with a server one time, they will do work trips there from time to time as well. The chef is incredible, and I've been told he went to culinary school in France as well, so this place is about as authentic as you can get in ol' Omaha Nebraska. Obviously the food is the star of the show at this place, and I have yet to be disappointed by any dish I ordered. I love ordering whichever specials they are running when I'm in, and am especially a fan of the several different lamb and veal dishes I've had. This weekend's meal was no exception. I ordered the Veal Cheeks, and was absolutely blown away. The veal, per usual, was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and cooked to perfection. The sauce was rich and flavorful, and accompanied the veal excellently. I did skip the vegetables, and added fries for my side, because, well, fries, and they were incredible as well. The server actually brought out some of their aoli for the fries too, which put them over the top. The Foie Gras Toast was on point (lol get it?), the Apple Tart was awesome, and my girlfriend enjoyed the seafood stew she ordered (a little too fishy for my taste). I have never been let down here, and will continue to go as often as I can. Thanks for being great.

Le Voltaire is probably the most underrated restaurant in this city! A culinary genius owns this place!! It is situated in the Pepperwood Village strip mall, so it is kind of a funky spot, but it works! Per the reservation list, it appears to be quite popular. From the steak and fries to the French onion soup to the Choucroute de la mer, everything is exceptional! A Top 10 restaurant in Omaha!

My only gripe was that the pork cutlet was a bit small and could have used a bit more seasoning in the breading. Would I order it again? You betcha! Service was fast and efficient. The decor was quirky and inviting but the space was loud enough that it was really hard to carry a conversation. Overall rating: yahoo!

My husband is a much harsher critic than I am, and he gave it a "rare 5.5 out of 5." The pancakes were some of the fluffiest I've ever had. They also have a great selection of coffee flavors to choose from, which was a fun bonus. The coffee paired perfectly with breakfast, though I probably wouldn't come here just for the coffee alone. The flavor was good but it did have a slight burnt taste. A quick note: you order at the counter before sitting down. It's a mix of self-serve and sit-down service. You order at the counter, grab your own silverware, and seat yourself, but they bring your food and drinks out to you (other than water). I do wish they were a bit more attentive about clearing finished plates during the meal. The restaurant was so busy that the line was out the door when we arrived, but it moved surprisingly fast. Ok the other hand, the service is rather iffy & unpredictable. The chicken & waffles is my go-to for each visit, and they have many types of delicious sides to choose from, with my favorites being the biscuits & berries, goat cheese grits, and also the fried green tomatoes. I have zero problems with the food that they serve here, they always do an excellent job at preparing whatever they need to prepare & the portions are always satisfactory. As for the service, there are days where you will receive perfect service while on others the service is not so great. Some days you will be attended to in a timely manner, while there is other days where there isn't anyone available or willing to seat you somewhere. I've also experienced instances where they didn't attend to our table to take orders until I made a complaint. Most of these instances were during days where the place was virtually empty so it's not because of the place being busy. I've also ordered take out from here before, again some instances are perfect and there's other instances where they don't tell you if a certain food is out of stock via text or call so if you ordered something that isn't in stock, you're forced to wait for them to prepare something else once you arrive to pick up your order. They also don't always include syrup or butter in the takeout bags for chicken & waffles. One minor thing I'm also disappointed about is how the portion of grits has lessened over time, going from being served in a bowl to instead being served in a small cup/mug. Overall, I certainly don't return for the service because you never really know if it's going to be a good day or a bad day for that. It's always the food that brings me back. I do want to like this place, and I do to an extent but again the service is always unpredictable. I'd still say the food is worth coming here to see how it goes.

The dinner service manager is knowledgeable and passionate about the dining experience. When we ordered the radicchio salad, I was skeptical that it would be bitter, but was curious to try it. They were fairly busy, and honestly our food took a bit to come out, but I am still giving a five due to the overall experience and quality of service. Our server Melannie was fantastic and always present. We did the bottomless mimosa deal (3 out of 4 of us) and she was always coming around asking us what flavor we wanted next when our current was still half full to make sure we got our moneys worth. The champagne might not be the fanciest, but for $20 bottomless mimosas I'll take it. They have fun flavors in addition to the basic ones like strawberry, mango, etc. which adds an element of fun. For food--there were several things I was eyeballing but landed on the spicy chorizo Benny. It was really good, eggs cooked perfect, and came with hashbrowns. Another at our table got the poutine which also looked yummy. I'd say the food portion could have included a bread/toast option, however If brunching in Omaha i'd return to try several things on the menu. The vibe inside is chill, would be more fun sitting outside once the weather warms up. Since I was the one that booked the reservation, the tab got a bit confusing. At first they were taking it off my total, then the server said that hold would come off so I paid for my meal/drinks there. I did end up getting double charged (for both the reservation hold and my meal) which was cleared up with a quick phone call to their establishment---apparently it is a new process they are trying. I do understand though why they wouldn't want to just deduct the hold as then people that don't know how to tip wouldn't tip on the total, which hurts the server. All was cleared up regarding this mishap though so no complaints.

Ambiance: It was a nice regular refreshing bar/brunch spot. But safety was a HUGE issue which is where I'll get to my point of this low rating. Service: Is negative zero a thing? That goes to the owner... the 1 star is for the decent service my server attended towards me. In unfortunate events it's not the servers fault.. but overall with the owner coming out, couldnt be anymore careless.. The Cause: Either the owner or a staff employee whomever that is responsible for setting up the patio umbrellas, and I mean those large heavy metal patio umbrellas, well, they failed to lock the pole of the umbrella and unfortunately the umbrella lifted and blew away and had hit a family in the face that were dining there also; instant noticeable bruising to the face... I was only a table away from them.. it could have been me too. I am disappointed in the lack of care in general that surrounded the scene. Little 5 ft me... was the only one that came to help while everyone else sat around and minded their own business... it took a long while until one of the staff noticed to help and then the owner came out and awkwardly said a one word-sorry and dipped... didnt come back to offer any hospitality, non-genuine and non-apologetic... it made me lose my appetite. They had the audacity to still charge the family their meal... but I had to tell these really nice folks to make sure they get comped back. It was sickening to me on how careless they were treated. I would never come back! I mean an exaggerating long wait, cold soggy food and careless hospitality from the owner himself. That's three major strikes. P.s. That same wknd.. the news showed up about a South Carolina woman that was struck by a patio umbrella and died on site... that says alot about lacking safety. Yes, search it up. It's real news.. Hope this help improves the business alertness. P.p.s. And although I was disappointed at this dining-bar overall... I still tipped my server a good $20 as the situation was out of their control, my server was still attentive towards me. They all just need social common courtesy in empathy and hospitality. But anyways, my lunch ended with bittersweetness with the family that got struck, they comped my whole meal for genuinely being the only one that was concerned for them. The only service I'm grateful for was that.
