    Seafood and Pasta
    Troy B.

My wife and I went there while visiting family in the Omaha area. Our first impression was a charming, relaxed atmosphere. We were met by Lisa who treated us with such respect and hospitality. She introduced us to others and shortly afterward, Chef Wilson came out and introduced himself and that was the beginning of a wonderful dinner. They had an extensive wine selection and also numerous non alcoholic cocktails. all of which paired quite well with our dishes. We had Foie Gras and Brie Josette for our appetizers. We had Duck Confit and a specialty dish of Seafood and Pasta for our entrees. We had a lemon parfait dessert to top it off. I can't say enough good things about our experience and the quality of service and food we received at Le Voltaire. We will dine there every time we are in Omaha.

    Brooklyn Sour!! Must Try!!!

Our 1st time sitting belly up at the bar for drinks & apps! This is a really nice, classy & romantic restaurant (usually a 2 hour dining experience). They have a nice bar by the entryway that seats about 8. It's OK to go by yourself or catch up with someone and enjoy a drink or 2, get an appetizer or dinner! The bartenders are friendly & take the time to explain any questions you have. They were offering a new drink called Brooklyn Sour: Rum, sour mix, Hibiscus simple syrup & red wine float! Great Concoction! We shared one of our favorite apps-smoked salmon with French bread! Very fresh! This quick dining experience worked well for us & is a nice option to have!

The food was incredible, and the flavors were stunning. We got the sample appetizer and it was such a nice way to try new things. It's a quiet little place, which is always nice. And the service was great. They even had some extra full loaves of bread at the end of the night that they gave us so they wouldn't have to throw it away. Absolutely will be back.

Great meal. Everything was excellent but the Rabbit Pot Pie was over the top. Great service and nice wine selection. Chef was super nice and visited our table. I'll be back next time through Omaha!

    Coq au vin

Food was so delicious. The Coq Au Vin was so flavorful and fall off the bone. It's a little small on the inside, but filled with great food. The chef came out to wish my friend a happy birthday which was very personable and kind

First time here, the ambience is nice and cozy, the server were knowledgeable and the bar tender was fun to talk to. Made a good old fashioned with Cognac. Bread and butter is very French (although French don't have butter with their breads ). Ordered the mushroom blue cheese soup, salmon, chicken and Lamb Parmentier. Lamb was amazing, rest of the food items were great as well. Server was good and fun. Would come back for sure. Little bit on the pricier side though.

    Brie Jossette. Excellent!

The spousal unit, offspring, and I enjoyed a Friday evening meal at Le Voltaire. Total cost for three, including appetizer and dessert, was about $135 with tax. SERVICE: -Service was excellent, as one would expect. Unfortunately, you find mediocre-to-poor service in too many places these days, and people use COVID as an excuse (PSA: you can be short staffed and busy but still have good service). Le Voltaire had the quantity and quality, and that is refreshing...and worth mentioning. Good service can make up for mediocre food (not that the food here is mediocre). FOOD: 1. Brie Jossette (appetizer; baked Brie on toast with apricot-cranberry chutney): --Excellent! I could make a meal of this. Even a dessert. Paired well with my Bordeaux due to the low Cab/high Merlot content in this particular blend. 2. Filet with peppercorn sauce: --Filet was good, but lacking in seasoning. The sauce was very mild and slightly thin. Mashed potatoes and veggies were good. 3. Steak frites with truffle fries and lentil/bleu cheese soup (with carrots, mushrooms, beef): --Soup was very interesting, have never had anything like it before...with the bleu cheese in it. Beef was very tender. Overall good. --Steak was ok. About 1/2" thick, so hard to keep it juicy, even at medium done. A little lacking in seasoning, but certainly not bad. Truffle fries were good, but had enough salt for them as well as the steak (that might be where the steak salt went). 4. Bordeaux: This Bordeaux was a Merlot-heavy blend and very soft & velvety. Good with the steak but excellent with the Brie Jossette. Very good glass; glad I didn't go with a Syrah. I don't know a lot about French wines. I know Spanish and German and South African and Australian, but not much about French. But I know I liked this wine and that's all that matters. 5. Dessert: -Churro with goat cheese cheesecake --different, but very good. Cinnamon heavy, until I took a sip of cappuccino and then the cinnamon was gone. Not complaining about the cinnamon btw...excellent dessert. -Cream brûlée --offspring said it was good. VERDICT: 2nd time here and it's good, but I think the appetizers and desserts were the stars of the show both times.

I love Le Voltaire. Actually, it's my favorite restarant in Omaha. I've been here more times than I can count, and I'll continue going as long as they are still around. I've tried other French spots in town, and truthfully, they can't compare. The atmosphere at LV is small and quaint. There's a French "vibe" throughout, a small bar area, and a larger back room for bigger parties. The cocktail selection is good, and according to my girlfriend, their wines are awesome. Most of the staff I've spoken with have actually spent some time in France, and if I remember a conversation I had with a server one time, they will do work trips there from time to time as well. The chef is incredible, and I've been told he went to culinary school in France as well, so this place is about as authentic as you can get in ol' Omaha Nebraska. Obviously the food is the star of the show at this place, and I have yet to be disappointed by any dish I ordered. I love ordering whichever specials they are running when I'm in, and am especially a fan of the several different lamb and veal dishes I've had. This weekend's meal was no exception. I ordered the Veal Cheeks, and was absolutely blown away. The veal, per usual, was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and cooked to perfection. The sauce was rich and flavorful, and accompanied the veal excellently. I did skip the vegetables, and added fries for my side, because, well, fries, and they were incredible as well. The server actually brought out some of their aoli for the fries too, which put them over the top. The Foie Gras Toast was on point (lol get it?), the Apple Tart was awesome, and my girlfriend enjoyed the seafood stew she ordered (a little too fishy for my taste). I have never been let down here, and will continue to go as often as I can. Thanks for being great.

Very quaint restaurant great for a celebration or date night. We enjoyed the whole experience and liked the ambiance of the restaurant. The menu is limited but what they have is all very good. This is a one of a kind restaurant in the Omaha area I wish we had more of these types of restaurants. You have to be a fan of French food and garlic. The only option on the menu without garlic is the steak which was cooked to perfection and came with the most delicious French fries. All meals come with a salad or soup. If you like French onion soup it is a must try!

I would return just for this and a margarita flight. Oh yes, a Margarita Flight. Four different flavors of margs, served on a tower with flowers and sparklers stuck to it. A+ for presentation! The Margaritas themselves were also quite good, fruity and sweet just like I like them. The menu has a small vegan section, but not a vegetarian one. So one can order a vegan meal or customize an entree without meat, for example. I went with a cheese quesadilla. The place is shiny and new, with a modern color palette and an insta-worthy neon light wall. Our server was really feiendly and helpful with any questions we had about the menu. Behind the bar is a Día de los Muertos mural and in one of the dining areas is an adorable neon sign that says "Feed me tacos and tell me I'm pretty" LOL We were seated and the service was great from the get go - always refilling drinks, making sure we understood the menu, and overall just being pleasant. The complimentary chips and salsa, along with a dip that is almost like a spicy mayo - were all great. We also ordered the cheese dip for our chips and that was SO flavorful and tasty. I love a good dip! For our mains, I had the street tacos with steak for the protein. The steak itself was a little flavorless, but the accoutrements around the tacos made them alright. My husband had the steak chimichanga, and he agreed that the steak wasn't super high quality or maybe just not very well seasoned. The chimichanga was huge, and was topped with a white cheese sauce - so there was flavor there. But I wish the steak itself had been seasoned or had a little more flavor. I would definitely return to La Plaza Fiesta for the awesome vibes and great staff - I'd maybe just choose a different protein and/or dish next time!

Owned by a trio of dedicated foodies, this restaurant exceeded all my expectations, and their attention to detail shows. The quality of food, the attentive service, and the fastidiously clean and modern interior makes for a welcoming cozy atmosphere. Vote voted best of Omaha 2025 all I can say is they truly deserve it! Located just north of Dodge at 108th St., the restaurant is conveniently situated with a large parking lot and plenty of space for easy access. The restaurant takes reservations, but I had no challenge arriving mid afternoon for my first visit. I was pleasantly greeted and quickly seated. I was presented a fabulous menu plus specials, which made a hard decision even harder. Offering New England fare, I cannot recall since my childhood on the East Coast, where I saw clam strips on the menu, let alone freshly prepared on site. Cooked to perfection and offering a delightful twist, as the clam strips were served with traditional tartar and Chinese sweet-and-sour sauce. I was offered a complementary taste of their cornbread, prepared by the in-house pastry chef, which was by far the best cornbread I've ever enjoyed. The Portuguese fish stew offered a fabulous Bouillabaisse with plenty of muscles, shrimp, and clams as well as chorizo to fill me up! A full bar, plenty of beers on tap, and a lovely wine list offers great pairings with all the menu items. With their anniversary celebration, there will be specials offered, keep your eyes peeled on their website for menu items and wine offerings through the end of the month. I cannot say enough about this restaurant other than I will be back! I encourage you to check out the best of Omaha, or simply the best, at the Sand Point ASAP!

My cod was cooked perfectly, and the lemon-and-caper sauce was very well balanced, with just the right amount of acidity. I also tried my wife's trout, and it was equally excellent. The Parmesan crust and the other ingredients came together beautifully. The side dishes were prepared to the same high standard as the entrées. The broccoli was fresh, crisp, and flavorful.
