This is a fairly small spot in Ralston with free parking in the front and surrounding area. The classic bacon, eggs, and a gluten free biscuit which I hear was DELISH! Eggs over medium done to perfection, great tasting bacon. Maybe you knew, but I learned that their gravy is also gluten free and done by Gravy Train - Scratch Biscuits and Gravy! Their Griddled French Toast is also kept pretty simple, with a small dusting of powdered sugar, some strawberries and whip. Went well with their traditional syrup! Parking is a blast but I promise their food makes up for the limited spacing. Their cinnamon rolls and other sweet treats right when you walk in, looked AMAZING. I've been wanting to try Lemon Tree Cafe for a while now and i'm so glad I finally made it over here! I got the blueberry lemon curd pancakes because of how many people i've heard rave about them, and they did not disappoint! It was delicious, super fluffy and the perfect mix of sweet and tart! I am FULL! My partner got the dawn phenomenon and it was super tasty. My mom and niece got avocado toast. They wished the bread was a little more toasted. My niece wasn't fond of the basil vinaigrette, and there were a few details of their meal that was over looked (orange juice when she ordered Apple, asked for no vinaigrette, hash browns and sausage gravy missing from a to go order.) My friend and I had never been here, and I wanted to treat her for breakfast. I wasn't aware that they served lunch as well, and their chicken salad was very tempting. I ended up going with the strawberry, banana stuffed French toast, and I think this was the best French toast I've ever had. I'm not even a French toast fan, but this was delicious! They loved the a cookie crumble topping, but for me the best part about it was the strawberry cream cheese stuffing. I can't wait to go back for breakfast, but I'm tempted to try the lunch menu as well. She went with the blueberry, lemon curd pancakes that were huge! We encountered a little snafu when it turned out the blueberry-lemon curd pancakes I thought I had ordered arrived as the blueberry stuffed French toast, but they helpfully suggested to add lemon curd to the toast, which I happily accepted. Problem deliciously solved! The tangy cream cheese-stuffed French toast was phenomenal, and the lemon curd was a perfect complement to the flavor. Chicken fried steak is A-plus. Greater gravy and biscuits. The biscuits are drop-style, and a good size (about the size of a baseball). Good with the gravy, or just on their own with butter. The food.... We ordered their French toast, ham/cheese/bacon hash, and biscuits & gravy. As a Southerner, it's hard to impress me with biscuits and gravy, as I grew up around the best. This was a unique take on sausage gravy. The gravy was very creamy like a hollandaise. I was skeptical when I saw it, but wow. It was so savory. The biscuit was good, but the gravy really was the star. The hash looked dry, but it wasn't. Topped with an egg over medium, the popped yolk really made the entire thing a perfect consistency. The hash had crispy bacon and ham with a small amount of cheddar. The spices they used really made the dish sing. The French toast was from thick sourdough and was cooked perfectly. What - a - treat! Do not expect this perfection to be a quick experience. Their kitchen is small and with a full house, food will take a bit longer than other places. But, it is worth it If you use Waze, the directions take you to the back alley. Instead, Google maps takes you to the right spot. Just a heads up if you are of color be prepared to be asked to paid before being sat down :). Proceed by being gaslit to think this is policy. (Which wouldn't be an issue) yet for 30 minutes while we waited to be seated we watched everyone pay as they left. Definitely one of the best breakfast/brunch places in Omaha, the service is so friendly and the menu is so creative it's hard not to love this place. The restaurant has the feel of a small town cafe, with a breakfast bar at the front with a few seats and assorted different sizes tables in the dining room, the place is on the smaller side, but very cozy. The menu is a great mix of classics and very creative items. Some of the more unique things were the blueberry lemon curd pancakes and the balsamic mushroom hash, which my wife had and really enjoyed. I had the biscuits and gravy and added a fried egg and sausage patty. These biscuits are so good, very buttery and flaky, and the gravy was seasoned perfectly. We also split a cinnamon roll which was super tasty and very traditional like Grandma would make. Everyone who was working on the Saturday we visited was extremely nice. My boyfriend was all for everything. They messed up our order slightly (I asked for no egg, he's supposed to get egg) so I gave him mine. But the server did fix it and apologized while giving up complimentary coffee cake. The location was great, we didn't have any wait around 11:30 on a Saturday, and there's plenty of parking. We were able to walk right in and I think there's about 12 tables total. The team was very nice and helpful. The short stack was amazing, better than ihop by far! He loved the steak special. The coffee was delicious, it was smooth not bitter at all. I'm pretty sure he had 3 cups. The avocado toast was ok, there was a lot of the lemon olive oil that it was very watery and I would have thought the avocado didn't have any brown on it. I brought a group of 5 here and was surprised at how busy they were for such a small place. It took a while to get in, but was well worth the wait! My biggest takeaway was the affordable prices on such large and quality dishes. I can see why they are so busy!! Great service, and many apologies for the wait time that was not a big deal. After driving by for a year I finally made it to the Lemon Tree Cafe! We went with a larger group knowing we would possibly have to split up and wait, but we were willing. The stars aligned and we were all able to sit together and only a 20 minute wait! They were so nice and accommodating to our group of 10. The service was excellent and the food was even better. We have a supper club that finally reunited after a year for brunch and every single person loved what they ordered, which is rare. The cafe is so cute and cozy. I've been wanting to try this place and it is a very nice old-fashioned cafe with interesting dishes and generous portions. I had their premiere breakfast sandwich. When I wanted to add bacon, Angel the waitress informed me that it already included bacon. There is a variety of baked goods which is unusual these days. The only disappointment was the coffee. People really love tasty and flavorful coffee these days and the coffee here was not good at all. It doesn't take much to upgrade the coffee and people will pay up. The service was fast and the servers were very friendly. I marked the restaurant as very loud, but in its defense there was a table of about 10 women talking and laughing very very loudly. I ordered the biscuit and sausage gravy with fried chicken and eggs. As sausage gravy goes, it's 3rd in my top 5, which is a good place to be, meaning I would recommend ordering it. The chicken was chicken fingers, they were flavorful and crunchy. Eggs are eggs, no point to in commenting on them unless you F them up. The biscuit was ok, it was a bit dry, but with the gravy that was fine, but if I had a biscuit sandwich I would have needed something wet to wash it down. They kept my coffee cup full and the coffee is good. One thing I must point out, they had Cholula hot sauce. So many of these quaint diners only have tobasco, so kudos to Lemon Tree. The portion was more than fulfilling, it was just enough food that i could almost finish it. I am personally turned off by a plate of food that looks like it was intended for 3 people. We went here for breakfast based on the photos alone. It's a quaint little place, and very Portland-esc. It reminded us of a lot of the places you would find in Portland . The menu is very limited and the food wasn't really anything you can't find at any of the hundreds of other breakfast establishments around Omaha. We both had there skillets and although good, just nothing much to rave about. The place seemed busy enough, so people must like it more than we did, or it may be because of its side street location, and not much else around. We also noticed a ton of staff, one person sat us, another got us drinks , yet another took our order and another brought us our food. I'm not sure why so many people, for such a small place. I guess it works for them. The tables are a very close together and it's hard not to bump into the other patrons. All in all it's a decent place. My sis and I tried the Lemon Tree and it was FANSTASTIC! My sis had the Biscuits and Gravy and is was seasoned really well and had a delicious gravy. I had the Balsamic Mushroom Hash and it was perfection. The potatoes were perfectly crispy, a little more than other places and I loved the crunchiness it added. The mushrooms were brilliantly paired with the red peppers, cheese and perfectly cooked medium egg.
