After visiting a first watch for a Yelp elite event, I wanted to come back and try a few more things on the menu. I had the same great service and a good experience overall. I got the avocado toast with eggs, and the toast was really yummy. A very generous portion of avocado is on top. The smoked salmon was served on a small bed of greens next to it and the flavor was just a little off. It did taste a little smoky as expected, but the texture was more dense than what I was expecting but almost a little watery inside? Maybe it is previously frozen? There was just something not quite right about it that I couldn't put my finger on. But the eggs were done perfectly. The kids meals aren't cheap but they do come with a good portion of food. The pancake my son got was bigger than my head and also came with one link. It was plenty for him as a seven year-old. read more

Love the atmosphere of this place, bright and open. We were greeted by our server Kenneth. He was very friendly and talked us through a few of the options. We started with their Lemon Blueberry Cornbread. Deliciously crumbly cornbread with a pop of sweetness from the blueberries and the lemon butter put it over the top. Also got a couple of juices, the Morning Meditation was refreshing with a nice punch of ginger. For entrees we had the Chimichurri Steak & Eggs Hash and Chickichanga. Both were very tasty. The hash perfectly cooked and tender steak with potatoes, veggies and a yummy garlic aioli. You can't go wrong the the Chickichanga, full of chicken, chorizo and onions topped with a lemony Vera Cruz sauce. Portions were huge and we left stuffed. Would highly recommend checking this place out. Gonna trying some of their Boozy drinks next time we're there! read more

I tried a new healthy option item on the menu. Healthy turkey omelette. It was light and fluffy. The turkey is thin sliced with added onions & spinach. I really like their side grits. The location on 144th and Dodge is my favorite. It's newly built & overlooks the busy street. They close at 2:30pm so be mindful of your time. read more

I had brunch with friends and we decided to sit outside. I used the app to get on the waitlist so when we arrived we didn't have to wait long to be seated. My boyfriend got us takeout for breakfast from this First Watch location and it was delicious! I loved my strawberry tres leches french toast from the new spring menu, and paired it with one of their iced coffees, which was delicious and layered with caramel and cream. We have dined in here before and always have a pleasant experience with the staff, and it is light, airy, and open in this location. Went to First Watch for my birthday breakfast. My husband and I were still full from our dinner the night before so we shared one of the fall specials, the maple bacon sandwich. It was on a croissant bun and had egg, sausage, bacon, and jalapeños. The sweet and spicy were the perfect blend. The kids ordered the kids chocolate pancake meal. They each got their own but only ate half so we probably could've ordered just one. My kids are 6 and 3 so if you have smaller kids ine pancake meal might be enough, the pancake is so big! My husband and I went to get brunch here on a late Wednesday morning when we were off work. There was no wait, so we were seated immediately and the service was great. I started my meal with the Pomegranate Sunrise, which was very sweet and not much flavor beyond that. I tried my husband's Cinnamon Toast Cereal Milk cocktail and preferred that a lot more. It did seem that the drinks were premade and jarred as we got them only a couple minutes after ordering them. For our meal, I got the Market Hash with over medium eggs and the strawberry tres leches French toast to share. My husband got the elote burrito and we ended up sharing everything. I liked the hash mostly due to the tang of the goat cheese, but it definitely needed more salt at the very least. The elote burrito was fine...it was good enough, but I don't see myself ordering it in the future. French toast was very good: the strawberry was the star here, but I'm still not sure what made it tres leches, so it was a bit of a miss on that point. Overall the service was the fantastic, but the food was a little hit or miss. I don't particularly see myself going back as there are other brunch places I prefer. read more

Tasty Bloody Mary to start off. Hubby had the chimichurri steak & hash. He said it was amazing. I had b&g with eggs & home fries. It had good flavor but the potatoes were a bit mushy.(I like them crispy, these were soft) the gravy is thin and not enough to really cover the thick biscuit. Overall, great service. We've been to 5 First Watch restaurants across Omaha and they are our favorite breakfast spot. But we will never return to this one. They had the most disorganized and chaotic service. We did online wait list and were told at check in that we were next to be seated. We then watched 4 other groups be seated. When we did finally get our table we sat for 10 minutes before the waitress came. Meanwhile a table next to us was seated and got their drinks from the same waitress. We also saw the table on the other side have to ask 3 times to get syrup. The food held up to First Watch standards, but there are many other locations with better organization and service. read more

We went to First Watch for breakfast this morning and while the visit had its high points, overall it fell short of expectations. We arrived around 10am on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised to be seated after only about a 10-minute wait--definitely a nice surprise for weekend brunch hours. The space itself has a nice vibe: it was busy but not too loud, with high ceilings and lots of natural light that made it feel airy and open. Once we sat down, we were a bit disappointed to find out they don't make lattes and don't offer any flavored syrups for coffee, not even the standard vanilla or caramel, which was surprising for a breakfast spot. Our server greeted us shortly after we were seated and let us know she'd be with us soon--totally fine since we were catching up and not in a rush. She was great throughout the meal: super kind, attentive, and even apologized for the lack of coffee options while trying her best to offer alternatives (though nothing really compared). Huge shoutout to her--wish we had grabbed her name! For food, we shared the million dollar bacon which was tasty, but very sweet--more of a once-in-a-while treat. My partner had the biscuits and turkey gravy with scrambled eggs and potatoes, and I had the smoked salmon benedict, also with potatoes. Unfortunately, both of our meals were just kind of bland. The potatoes didn't seem to have any seasoning, and my eggs benedict was served on a long piece of soft ciabatta that turned mushy by the end. I wish it had been toasted. The poached eggs were oddly small, but at least they were cooked well. Overall, I'd probably recommend checking out other local spots for a more flavorful breakfast, but I'd be open to coming back and giving their fresh-pressed juices a try sometime. read more

I have always liked First Watch's food quality, no matter which location I have been to. This was my first visit to the 144th location next to Charleston's and Maghogany's Steakhouse. Parking was relatively easy and getting a table was pretty quick during the lunch hour. Service was slow with our server. He did apologize for the delay but made some minor errors with our food order. The eggs benedict is a good choice, no matter what time of the day it is ordered. Be cautious about the sides it comes with. If you forget, your server could make a unilateral decision on what sides you will receive instead of asking you first. Attended the side opening at First Watch in boys town. Had the millionaire bacon that was tasty. Bacon had meet and cooked with a slight crisp. Had the Mexican chicken wrap with chorizo that was super yum. Tried a specialty drink, which they had three, that was good as well. The service was on point. The pictures really say it all, a whipped cream tip nestled in the middle of my french toast, perhaps more accurately my whipped cream, but obviously a pretty serious blunder. I will start by saying this was ordered through Doordash at a cost of $35.23. When I called the store to report this mishap, they apologized, took $27.33 off my bill, and said we would like to do something nice for you. Three weeks later a $20 gift card showed up in my mailbox. If you have been to a first watch, you know that $20 doesn't get you very far, it was just a tactic to gain a profit from their error. The gift card said I could use it online for delivery so I tried and tried, with no luck, so called the store to report the issue and was told that gift cards don't work online and that they couldn't do anything for me unless I wanted to come in, which would have then cost me that much more. As I have been quite sick I wasn't about to come into a restaurant full of people. So ultimately don't eat at this location or any others if you have any concern for your well-being, I mean imagine if this had been served to a child, or someone elderly, or just wasn't seen in time!
