I had another really good meal from Early Bird this morning! We got there around 8:30 and there was no wait, but from experience if you go later (after 10am) there's typically a little wait time to be seated. The server was quick with drink orders and menus. We got coffee for the table with a side of cream for me. The coffee tasted fresh and hot. I ordered from their seasonal menu and decided to try the maple bacon bird tart. So worth the extra calories! The filling was very rich and sweet so I was happy with one piece, but it was totally delicious. I especially loved the bacon crumbled on top. For my main dish I had the carnivore hash, also from the seasonal menu. This came out as a huge serving so I ended up taking 70% home. I got the sourdough toast and it was buttery, crispy, and perfectly complemented the hearty hash. Overall a great start to the morning. I love all the natural light in this location and it's conveniently located near lots of shops for errands after brunch. I would totally recommend this place for really solid breakfast and some unique menu items as well! read more

This was a very busy place that worked in our large party of 15 quickly. The staff were friendly and the food came out quickly! The menu offers a lot of classics but also offers enough variety to make everyone happy. The coffee was pretty bad so I would say skip it and opt for a splurge like hot chocolate. I ordered the breakfast tacos with tater tots. The tater tots were the highlight, the tacos were average but filling. I probably should have opted for a more Midwest friendly option. It was very cold in the restaurant today. We were very uncomfortable. My husband scrambled eggs got cold before he could really eat them. We ate as much as we could then asked for boxes to take the rest home. Yes it was raining... but you should be ably to change the temperature inside ‍. Our family stopped in for brunch on the weekend. Great atmosphere and were warmly greeted and seared right away. We sat out in the patio area and sat right under the radiant heat - it was warm. Maybe a little too warm, but didn't outweigh how good service and food was. The portions were very filling and needed a take home box. Stopped in for a quick meeting and enjoyed a beautiful and clean atomosphere. I've only been to the Blackstone spot, and it has the same charming interior just on a smaller scale. I tried the pineapple twist juice and it was delicious! Very refreshing, and during the winter, packed with vitamin C and ginger! We nibbled on the bacon flight and wow, what a unique dish perfect for all breakfast lovers. The service was superb, we were checked on frequently and in and out in a timely manner given the time contraint. Definitely a great locally owned spot in the busy mall area. read more

This was our first time here. We checked in at the hostess station, where they took our name and phone number to text us when our table would be ready. A five to ten minute wait at tops they told us. We went and sat outside on their bench's as others went in and got seated. I went back inside to check on how much longer our wait would be, and found out that we were removed from the wait list. Minor issue, they sat us right away. Our waitress came by to take our drink order and we looked over the menu. There is a lot of great options to choose from. It took us a bit to decide, but we finally did. Our waitress took our indecisiveness in stride. I ordered the chicken fried steak and she got the vegetarian Benedict. Both exceptional. Its Brunch !!! Comfortable seating with a cheery decor. Our waitress was pleasant and helpful. We tried the wide awake omelet. Tasty and prepared well. The sauces are at a reasonable price. So we tried a couple extra keeping them on the side. No complaints here I always have to order one pancake ala cart. Cinnamon roll pancake was plated fun. I'm sure the waitress wanted to clobber me because I took forever to order, not being able to choose between many things on the menu. First time here. Our servers made a few minor errors - but nothing major. We got here on a Sunday morning around 9:30am. By 10:30 the place was packed with a long line to get in. I had a steak omelet. It was very good. My wife had eggs and bacon with a waffle that she really enjoyed a lot. The coffee was decent. Our only complaint is that the parking for disabled folks is quite a distance from the front door. My sister-in-law who uses a walker did not find it easy to get in or out of the restaurant. It's my go-to for any occasion when we want to make the morning special, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. the food is always amazing, and they have great seasonal specials. This time, I tried the new fall chicken and waffles with gravy and it was fantastic! Their menu is huge, so you can try something new every time you visit. That was a little confusing but it all turned out all right. The second server suggested the braised bacon when I couldn't decide what kind of side of bacon to get. The only thing I wish I had known is that this particular bacon on the menu was actually thickly sliced pork belly pieces. The taste was fine I was just hoping for a more traditional piece of bacon to be part of my breakfast meal. But now that I know what it looks and tastes like I know what other pieces I would should try the next time I stop for breakfast or brunch. Service is always amazing here and the staff is so kind but I'm not sure what happened within the last year or two. The prices are so high for mediocre food, but it's always so busy which is confusing. I usually always order the hash holes but the last two times they have been not very good. I wanted to order a latte and it was something like $7.50, for just a vanilla latte no special instructions. I got a hot chocolate. My kids tried and then didn't touch their breakfast and I ended up making food for us at home. This is such a cute place and I love the vibe and the people working. Coffee is just drip and they had it rolling. Was expecting an espresso machine to match the better food and cool locale but it was drip drab like Denny's coffee. I am really enjoying the outdoor patio with retractable windows at the Early Bird. Al Fresco dining partially enclosed but with garage door windows that roll open. Really nice. Good staff. Friendly and efficient. Nice selection of menu items. We like doing breakfast for lunch and the menu is sure to have something that will please especially with some of the more eclectic selections available. Portions are good sized and the price might be just a tad high but not crazy. Overall, we have eaten at this location multiple times and pretty much everything we have gotten has been really good.
