We had a pretty yummy brunch at this location. We came in on a Sunday with quite a big party but not a huge party and the wait was pretty extensive so if you're gonna do the same thing, I would suggest calling ahead or sending somebody ahead to get on the waitlist. The pancakes were actually my favorite part of the meal. They were fluffy and well done. I asked for extra butter because that's who I am. I also had the steak and eggs with breakfast potatoes the steak was pretty good eggs were eggs and the breakfast potatoes were kind of your standard hashbrowns. A couple people in our group had the scramble and really enjoyed it. They got the junior size, which would've been plenty for most adults. I can't even imagine what the larger sizes look like. My partner had an omelette with some fresh fruit. The fruit was actually pretty fresh and the omelette was yummy. The homemade blueberry muffin was her favorite part. The coffee was fresh and plenty; our table also got one of the big cinnamon rolls, which seems to be a staple at this restaurant to share and well it didn't last very long. This is a perfect family friendly restaurant. There's something on that menu for everybody and even despite the wait, it would still be a great place to go back with any size group. Wheelchair accessibility: the parking situation for this restaurant is kind of weird, especially for this type of restaurant which has a traditionally older clientele there were very few accessible spots. In fact, parking was hard to come by at all, which I guess speaks to the popularity of the spot. But we had at least two cars that needed accessible parking, and neither of us could find it. We had a great brunch at Summer Kitchen. I had the Denver omelette with fruit and a biscuit. The omelette was stuffed with veggies, including spinach, I think, which was unexpected but didn't detract from the dish. The melon was fresh and the biscuits hot and flakey. My companions had a potato casserole and some kind of burger, but I don't recall the details. I was probably too focused on my own meal, but they each got the morning glory muffins with their orders, which they loved. All of us enjoyed our food and had leftovers. The only downside was the noise. It was a very crowded Saturday morning, loud enough that hearing was difficult at times. I love summer kitchen cafe for the small town feel and for all of their breakfasts. Omg and the baked goods like cinnamon rolls and pies! Yum! I've always had fast and friendly service either dining in or driving through. The biscuits and gravy here are bomb! My entire family loves them. Oh also the soups...bye...so good! The creamy chicken noodle is legit the best soup I have ever had and I always remember it on the days they aren't serving it which is such a smart move because it makes the soup that much more delicious because you can't get it everyday. I have been to Summer Kitchen Cafe several times with colleagues for brunch, and even used the drive thru before to pick up a meal, and have always had a good experience! Food options are really good for breakfast or lunch. I ordered their chicken stirfry lighter fare. I thought the chicken was very thin, not much to it, and there were plenty of vegetables with rice. It was flavorful and light. It came with a choice of muffin or dinner roll, which I got blueberry muffin. That is very moist and yummy!!! Our service was quick and friendly. This was a great no frills brunch spot, with a HUGE menu to choose from! Their bakery is excellent, and I loved my meal. Nothing spectacular, but a good and large sized brunch. Our server did a good job, despite the place being packed--we were lucky to get a 4 top with a 10 minute wait on Saturday at 10am. My only complaint is the cost of my meal--$30 (including tip) as I was charged an extra $4 for the eggs I was subbing for hashbrowns, and $1.50 for blueberry instead of plain pancakes. This isn't a huge deal but the server could have mentioned that subbing eggs for hashbrowns is $4 when they are the same price on the menu so I assumed it didn't come with a cost (same with the pancake prices). I've been coming here since I was little so I probably have a bit of nostalgia bias. Don't expect anything special & gourmet from here, but the food will satisfy. It usually gets pretty loud in here, and the service can be average. But the food typically comes out fast. The main events here are the cinnamon roll (one of my favorite cinnamon rolls around), AND the coffee! There are so many coffee flavors to choose from, and they have pumpkin all year round (YAY!). I love anywhere that I can have breakfast for dinner! I had the Denver potato casserole and my kids ordered the cow poke (eggs, pancakes sausage and bacon) from the kids menu. Lunch for me was a Crispy Chicken Strip Salad with blue cheese dressing and a dinner roll. To say it was average is stretching it. First time to this location. Service was fairly good, restaurant was clean and inviting. I got the prime rib sandwich and fries. The sandwich was pretty salty so I only ate one half. I loved the fries and ate them all. My husband had a breakfast burrito and said it was good. I tried his hashbrowns and was envious because they were awesome and crispy. I have dined at Summer Kitchen for years but haven't been back for a while, so I finally wet back today. I called my drive thru order in ahead of time and they said it would be ready in "15-20 minutes". I arrived to find 5 care in line but most people had appeared to also called in before hand and the line went quickly. I noticed the car in front of me had not, but they had him pull around the corner to a door where his order would be delivered when ready. When I got up to the window my order was there and took it home. I ordered the Omaha Potato Casserole and it was simply delightful. The Omaha comes with Ground Beef, and the rest is like a Cheese Burger Casserole. The onions were sautéed, there was an abundance of Cheeses and the pickles were an interesting addition. They have Omelettes that are similar, and dinner menus that I will have to try. The last time here I had the Monte Cristo which was wonderful. I wii be back. read more
