I stopped in for a ladies brunch, we were seated quickly and food came quickly too. Overall clean establishment but there was a gnat issue that was really annoying throughout the meal. Our waitress was polite but mostly absent, no energy and was sitting chatting with coworkers for an extended period of time without checking on us. She didn't come to refill our drinks until all of us had finished eating and we were waiting on our check, so at that point refill wasn't really needed because we were leaving. The food was all clean ingredients but with an unfortunately serious lack of any flavor. I ordered the Avocado Toast which was supposed to have a Chipotle Mayo, couldn't taste it or find it, bread was cold and didn't taste like it was remotely toasted. No seasoning on any part of the dish which was underwhelming. Definitely not worth buying this when this could be made easily at home and taste the exact same, if not better. There are other things on the menu I'd be interested in trying so if I do have a chance to try this place again and have a different experience I will absolutely update my review. This isn't a bad establishment by any means but definitely room for improvement. read more

My wife and I had a lovely breakfast here on Friday morning around 7:30AM. There were only 2 other tables and one server working, very quiet. The restaurant feels very calm and the waitress closed the blinds for us as the sun was coming up directly in my eyes, very thoughtful. The decor is very tasteful and the restaurant was very clean. We shared one of their Apple poptarts which was quite delicious, essentially a flat apple pie. I had the GE Breakfast Pie which was delicious and so filling I was only able to eat about half of it. I really liked all the options they had at Good Evans! A lot of sweet and savory options for whatever mood you're in. I got the Cambridge which had hash browns, bacon, cheese, eggs, hollandaise, and came with a side of toast. I loved that the hash browns were super crispy and it all worked together so well! I have been here multiple times. Even when it's super busy, we get seated in a reasonable amount of time. The space itself is nice it's on the bigger side and there's a lot of bright light. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy and I had shrimp and grits. He said the biscuits and gravy were okay. He added hot sauce to spice them up. Waitress came to our table 3 times. One time to take our order, another time to drop off food and the last time for a check. No refills or check ins. Good Evans is a great spot. I needed some good food for breakfast, it was a particularly stressful morning and I was glad to be warmly greeted and seated quickly. Imagine my surprise when I saw "Grown up options" with a Bloody Mary option for a beverage, it absolutely hit the spot. My server knew the menu well and explained the morning special. The dining room is big and open it seems like a hotspot for groups to gather as there were several. My server never rushed me and was one of the most pleasant and patient people I've met in while. I decided on the Chicken Fried steak, Crispy hashbrowns, scrambled eggs followed by a blueberry pancake. My entire meal was hot and delicious. The pancake had a huge load of blueberries and it was sweet enough that syrup was hardly needed. The menu said the avo toast came with dressed greens, but I was offered tots or potatoes. I chose sweet potato tots. It was a big serving and very tasty. The toast was also excellent, with a few more onions than I prefer, but since they were pickled, it was fine. Bookguy told the waitress how he does not like his CFS well done.
