Everything about Good Evan's was just terrible After arriving for a pickup order at the time that was suggested, and receiving a notification the order was ready, I waited roughly 10 mins for my food. I have no issues with the order not being ready by the given time (it's a Sunday at noon it happens), but my food was ice cold. And wasn't at all what I had promised. $13 for a "Corn Beef Hash Patty". Which was supposed to come with 2 poached eggs, hollandaise and toast. What I was given was a tiny portion of some "Corned Beef" which was minced in with some uncooked hash potatoes, featuring a watery puddle of who knows what at the bottom, and featured 2 poached eggs completely cooked through with 0 hollandaise and no toast I'd never return here even if you offered to pay me to do so. The quinoa/hashbrown blend and easy over eggs are a standard for the Mexican, Salmon and Pork Belly bowls. The pickled onions are a nice touch! The Southern bowl is a little different in that it comes with grits and spinach. I really liked the salmon, perfectly done, but wish it was a liiitle bigger. The Southern "bbq pork" and the Mexican "pulled pork" seem like the same thing. It reminds me of kalua pig. The menu has a lot of items that I would like to try next time, including a variety of benedicts, omelettes, avocado toast, and shrimp & grits. Great for brunch! read more

We stopped in on Saturday morning around 8:30 and were seated right away. They combined tables for our family, so we had ample room which was so nice. The tables and decor are minimal but homey. I had seen recommendations in Omaha Food Lover's (Celiac) and Find Me Gluten Free showed photos of a gluten free menu, but our server said there was no menu that she was aware of. She advised me on GF options and after I ordered, I heard her talking with a manager near our table about the questions I'd asked her. The manager said that there was no GF menu and no, the GF items were not prepared on a dedicated or cleaned surface. Our server had put a note to request the grill be cleaned for my food, so I ate it anyway. But she had said she would relay to me what the manager told her after asking, which she never did. And my husband and I both got very sick after, so we won't be going back. He doesn't have the dietary restrictions I have so I'm not sure what happened. I was here a few months back and wasn't able to review for some reason. Well, I came here this morning with two of my newest friends and my food was great again! First of all, I want to throw a big shout to Audra, who gave us great service! She was so kind and hospitable. I love the interiors of the establishment. So simple and welcoming! So for today, I ordered the Nebraska Bene with tator tots as my side as a recommendation per my friend Maria. I must say, I loved how the flavors came together beautifully with my slightly runny eggs, spinach leaf lettuce, sun-dried tomatoes, and most of all, the SHORT RIB!!! Scrumptious! Our service was amazing; we loved Vanessa!! She chatted with us for a bit and was very attentive to getting us water, coffee, and checking in. They offer lunch and breakfast all day long, so if you want to come in at 10 and get a salad, go for it! Lots of choices. I got their breakfast pie, which was a morning version of a pot pie. Loved the flaky crust on the bottom and he mix of flavors! Very unique. And very filling!! Their portion sizes were no joke. A bit of a wait, had to put our name down and sit in our car till our table was ready since there was very limited seating to wait. once we got seated, took some time for our waitress to see to us, but it was a sunday brunch rush! for drinks there was a good selection of coffees, juices, and did have mimosas. For food i ordered a skillet, which was sooo tasty!! it had great rich flavor. i chose an over easy egg on top, then had some greens and potatoes underneath. so delicious! i also was able to chose a pancake on the side, which was huge but very well done! my husband chose the chicken fried steak with gravy and a side of eggs. the chicken fried steak was very well cooked with a good crunch but not overly greasy. overall this place served up great brunch/breakfast!! the food was all delicious and filling. the vibe of the restaurant felt like a fresh/modern farmhouse style, but very welcoming! the only downfall was just the waiting aspect, but this is also to be expected in Omaha for brunch places! read more

We are regulars at Good Evans whenever we are back in Nebraska. We always went to the one in Kearney so when we found out one was in Omaha now, we were thrilled. The vibes and decor is just so cute and chill. Our waitress was super sweet & attentive. We never need menus and ALWAYS get the Cambridge sub and English muffin for the toast. I probably recommend Good Evan's, specifically the CFS/eggs, at least twice a week. It's so good every time, and enough for two meals. They have a lot of options on the menu. Omelette was over cooked and barely had anything in it, hash browns barely cooked, sausage gravy was tasteless and was so lumpy it looked curdled. Half our parties food was cold when it arrived and when I asked for them to cook my hash browns longer they brought back my omelette without my toast. Finally had to ask about my hash browns 10 minutes later and they brought them out. Finished my entire meal before I ever got my toast and I had to ask for it. It's a smaller space for breakfast/brunch than your le peeps or first watch's around Omaha but that doesn't stop it from bringing the delicious food. It's tucked in the northwest corner right off 74th and pacific. Their unique seasonal option is homemade pop tarts so we had to try. It was brown sugar cinnamon today. I liken it almost to a flakey baklava with icing, which for me means delicious! Definitely would get again. For entrees I went with more a lunch option, their chicken Cobb salad. I chose the bacon vinaigrette dressing which was the perfect addition to the bacon already on the salad. Totally could have just had the salad with how large it was, but the pop tart was a must. My wife had their breakfast sandwich. Talk about a MASSIVE sandwich. Easily enough for two people if you want to share. Loaded with eggs meat and cheese, what more could you want? My son's kids French toast was just 1 simple slice, perfect for his appetite. Lastly, I have to comment on our excellent server Brittnee. She was fantastic and even spent time chatting with us. You are fantastic. I ordered the Ruben, and it beats Crescents. I might offend the certain place if I say it beats the creator, but definitely beats Crescents hehe. My husband ordered the breakfast flat bread, and the flavors were incredible. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and somehow the pita bread was not soggy. If I had to give one critique it would have to be the tots, but it's probably a personal preference, I would have liked them a little less done. They didn't have enough potato in there for me.
