Lisa's Radial Cafe is a GREAT restaurant! Our grand and great-grand children were visiting from Washington state this week. We went to Lisa's Radial Cafe. It was their first time in Omaha and at this restaurant. They LOVED it! They said it was the best food they have ever had in any restaurant in any state. In addition to the great food, the wait staff are wonderful. They kept our drinks full without being asked. They stopped back a few times (not to many times for as long as we were there) to see if everything was okay, and if we needed anything else. They provided a squeeze bear full of honey so we could eat all that we wanted on their delicious pancakes. This is not like other restaurants where you get a container of honey that is not much larger than a shot glass, and they take a long time, and charge you more, if you want more honey. I asked for and they made a blueberry pancake for me, even though it isn't on the menu. The physical space has an old-world charm with unique artwork on the brick walls, wooden floors and comfortable chairs. This is one of my wife's and my favorite restaurants in the world. My only complaint is I wish they were open past 2:00 pm so we could eat there three times in one day! I was too busy enjoying my food to take any pictures. Trust me, it looks fabulous. Lisa's Radial Cafe has those classic old school diner vibes, and the food is amazing! I've never been disappointed here. There's usually a wait during peak times, but it is definitely worth it. My go-to is the chicken fried steak. They also have some amazing pancakes... I always forget to take a picture because I just dig right in. They have a decent amount of seating, but it can still feel tight when it gets busy. There's a coffee shop nearby where I usually go hang out while waiting. If you haven't tried this place yet, you have to!!! read more

Yum! We waited way too long to try this place because we always see people waiting outside. We hung out at Amateur Coffee around the corner while we waited, it only took about 20 minutes for 2 of us. Let me tell you, the wait was well worth it! The ambiance is perfect- a well-loved, no frills diner. The service was fast and helpful, the food came out quick and was GREAT! I got the Radial Raft and it was so delish- the gravy specifically was really good. My boyfriend got the chicken fried steak and he really enjoyed it as well. The best part? I needed a quick bite when I landed at the airport and it had about an hour and a half to kill so I took an Uber to this nostalgic diner. The food was amazing Hardy breakfast. I met some local locals seemed like mainly blue-collar workers are retired men enjoying coffee and camaraderie at the bar. What a great place I would highly recommend it. What can I say besides absolute champ! My sister and I chose this place first to eat in Omaha and we were not disappointed at all. I ordered the titanic pictured and my sister ordered the apple stuffed French toast. The titanic was exactly that, large and basically took me to the bottom of the ocean, smiling. A solid piece of country fried steak, 2 eggs, 2 biscuits, healthy hash browns and smothered in country gravy. How could that go wrong? The French toast was so good too, it was made perfectly and I wish I got a pic of it. The service was excellent and it had a homely and pleasant diner feel to it. I've loved Lisa's for years now and it's always a novelty coming here. Please note that you will more than likely have a very long wait (I've always had a 45-minute to hour wait). Most people wait outside but there is an interior space to wait in the winter. The food is pretty good and a perfect place for your basic breakfast favorites. they always have unique specials that really stand out from other brunch spots and something that you can't find on a typical menu. On my most recent visit, I got The Works which is your basic eggs, meat, hash browns, and toast dish so it's hard to mess up and it was great! My guest got the special, the monte cristo, and they loved their sandwich. However, I really wanted a BLT as we went around lunch but they do not serve the lunch menu on Sundays. Not a big deal at all - just something to note! I love the coziness of the place and if you are lucky enough to get the booth spots by the window on a snowy or rainy day then make sure you romantize every bit of that experience. It's my favorite! The staff is always super nice and attentive - you'll never have an empty cup of coffee! Please note that if you want a boozy brunch to start your weekend, Lisa's doesn't serve alcohol! Browsing through the menu and one item caught my attention which I haven't had in a long minute and it happened to be under Radial Specialties...the Chicken Fried Steak! Chicken fried steak - 5/5 for me! Perfect breading, cook, and flavor across the board! Portions in Nebraska can be overwhelming so I was happy to see it was a manageable plate. The white sausage gravy was also on point! Came here for the first time on my birthday for breakfast. I had been meaning to come here for a long time. We were greeted very quickly when we entered and were taken to a table. We made sure to get there early as we heard that tables fill up fast. It was a Saturday morning around 9AM and we noticed that many people kept coming in after us. And for good reason! I tried their specialty French toast which was caramel apple. It also had these cream cheese filling, some powdered sugar, and whipped cream. It was so good! I also got a side of bacon which was very crispy and flavorful. My fiancé got the Radial Raft which he was very happy with. This place always takes my breath away. The ultimate greasy spoon diner always has an amazing array of menu items such as stuffed French toast to Monte Cristo sandwiches. Don't go on sunday around religious services. Wait was about 20 minutes. Ordered the special blueberry french toast, coffee with sides of eggs and bacon. Eggs seemed a bit undercooked both mine and my partner. Hers actually upset her stomach within a few hours. Sitting is tight. Host was pleasant and so was the waitress. We came here as a group on Friday and they were able to fit in all of us in. Service was really relaxed and friendly. This place has real personality and is known for its homey feel. They will correct any mistakes made and make sure you leave happy. I am currently writing this review as I am in a food coma from this delicious place! I visited Lisa's after not having been in a long time and am super happy that I came! The wait on weekends can be pretty long. We waited about 1 hour for a table of 4 on a Sunday, which was expected. They have a small seating area on the inside but that can be pretty crowded. Luckily, the weather was beautiful and we spent some time outside waiting. Once we were seated, we got our orders in and received our food very fast! The food is absolutely delicious- this has to be one of my favorite breakfast places in Omaha. I got the sausage breakfast skillet and a side of pancakes. The portions are very generous and the price is great! The staff are also so so warm and kind. I genuinely had such a wonderful time here and it was totally worth the wait!
