Best coffee experience in Nebraska! We loved the coffee, the variety, the pastries, the ambiance, and the story behind the cafe. Founded as a way to provide an inclusive environment and work place for adopted children, this cafe has a larger mission than just serving caffeine. The ambiance is unique yet comfortable. A former bank, the space has a high ceiling with a star shaped design in the center. There are numerous leather chairs and a sofa, as well as small wood tables to work at. The coffee is unique and of high quality. It feels like an expert curated the menu, with light to dark roasts from local roasters available. Best of all, the cafe supports and provides a stable environment for the foster and adopted youth of the city. Do good and feel good with a cup of coffee here!

This is a little coffee shop with a BIG purpose. Providing mentoring and employment to young adults impacted by the foster system. Lots of seating indoors and a few tables outside. I got their summer special the Blackberry Matcha with cold coconut foam. It was delicious. If you find yourself in downtown Omaha, give them a try

Such a cute little coffee shop in downtown Omaha. Staff was super friendly and greeting me when I walked in. They have spacious seating areas to hang out or to get some work done. They did have options for pastries or treats, but I did not try any of them.

Walked here and it was really tasty and delicious. The cashier was knowledgeable about the coffee and pastries, and helped me make a decision. The inside of the coffee shop was calming and had nice ambience from other coffee lovers. The music was also soothing.

Almond baked good and a cortado with a muffin

Walked here on a Saturday Monday and I really liked the ambiance. They had relaxing music playing in the background and it was not busy. The cashier was very friendly and knowledgeable about the almond baked good having a filling. The coffee was about a light-medium roast in my opinion. Overall I liked it here and plan on coming back!

I love the look of this place. On the outside it looks like a fancy fine dine, but its a great place to grab your coffee and while you can also sit and read or continue working while at the cafe. The Barista is very warm and friendly. Their menu is quite nice with various range of coffee to choose from. I ordered the turtle coffee (on the go), because I dig caramel and nuts in my coffee. The coffee was quite good, I also wanted to grab a baked good, so the barista was kind enough to suggest me an orange cranberry oat muffin and that was amazing! The gluten-free muffin was perfectly sweet, zesty and slightly dense, which goes perfectly with the coffee. So glad I took her suggestion! I shall surely visit Astute the next time I am visiting Omaha.

Fantastic coffee shop just across the street from Central High School. Astute has a full drink menu, but is exceptional due to their extensive pour over offerings. The baristas explained to me that the owner is passionate about curating amazing beans, and is always open to suggestions. Onyx are their standard beans for drip, and their pour over menu currently features roastaries in Berkeley, North Carolina, and Holland! The quality of the coffee is reflected in the pricing, so don't come here if you are looking for a cheap cup o' joe. Lovely space, in the round, with lots of natural light.

This is a great location for a coffee spot if you work in Boys Town Hospital or if you live in the apartments connected to it. The two ladies working behind the counter were super sweet and talkative when I placed my order. I went with a simple cold brew with almond milk that tasted great for the price. Lots of seating areas to sit quietly, or visit with some friends.

400 miles and 3 days later I am still dreaming about this pour over! After staying at a favorite hotel numerous times I finally wandered over to Astute Coffee There are so many things to love about this place The space itself is just fun! Circular and bright with all good vibes The name & it's fitting definition. See attached photo. I think that the word Astute is underused. The Logo! Really, your Branding is spot on! The people! I was with my son who makes some uncomfortable with his over zealous interest, comments & questions. Extra points for inclusiveness in businesses. DEI often leaves out the cognitively challenged. The team at Astute were welcoming and kind. The mission I am all about supporting business with a cause even if it is good but not great. Not a concern here! Astute is a social enterprise worthy of your support! Let me tell you I love a great cup of coffee. The pour over I had was truly beyond! I was lead to my decision by a very knowledgeable employee who understood the flavor notes like a sommelier understands them with wine. I was so sad I left too early to get one the following day but will be back! What did I have? I do not remember the name of the roast but it had IPA in the description!

Please support this spot! Best mocha in town, fantastic service and a great cause. Beautiful space that inspires you take a deep breath and just stop for a moment to be grateful. Local donuts were a bonus since I was visiting from out of town. Can't recommend this awesome spot enough.

This place is my favorite spot to go to!! Their drinks are so good and put into effort to, which of course you have to love. They have seasonal drinks which are very fun. When i tell you this place has the best matcha ever, which is very rare to find in Omaha. There is a lot of seating and a very chill ambiance. Great place to grab a drink and do some work! The employees are also so kind! Much love to them.

Went to the spaceship looking one, which is a fun vibe. Nothing special coffee wise and not comfy seating, but a cool stop!

It's quiet, has a small amount of sunlight that comes in and brightens the place up, and there's seating upstairs that looks over the lower level seating. It's gorgeous inside. They carry local baked goods like Osos baked goods and they also have ice cream which I find fun! Their coffee syrup selection is vast, if you like a fun syrup you need to come here. The espresso was a little too sour for me, I did like the flavor combo of white mocha and sugar cookie though! They also have alternative milks which I appreciate. We each had a cream cheese danish that was SO good, the barista even warmed it up for us. It was a lovely experience!

Because I am a woman in my mid forties, I HAD to try one of their specials aptly named "Hello Kitty"; but make her hot! I do love a strong hazelnut flavor to my lattes and this gal didn't disappoint. Very smooth, zero irritation on the stomach, with a smidge of a caramel kick at the end. Requested oat milk out of preference - or maybe habit? - but she was wonderful. The coffee shop itself is very big, and the seating is great and varied, whether you prefer a table or a cozy corner. It is dimly lit, which is ideal for those who study in the evening like me. It is also open later than most coffee places in Omaha, which is a huge plus. I have also been to late night events, such as a free midnight pancakes event they hosted around October. It was such a great experience, and the staff has always been very kind and welcoming. There is a huge menu, and the variety is nice because you can go back for another drink later on as you study. I would recommend Sozo to anyone who loves studying in the evenings like me!
