I can't put anything in about the food because I didn't try the food, but I thought their coffee was awful. I came here because it said amazing espresso, no burnt taste. I found that to be the opposite the espresso seems burnt to me over roasted, it is not smooth. If you're a coffee connoisseur this is not the place to go. If you want a place to hang out talk to your friends, socialize or you need quick drive-through or maybe you're a latte Drinker and there's enough milk to make the taste of the coffee better than maybe OK. Stopped by quickly to get some caffeine and beans to take home (we use the Rockbrook espresso for our home espresso machine). I was going to get brewed coffee but saw the special caramel shaken espresso so I switched course. I'm glad I did because it was delicious and not too sweet! It also had 3 shots of espresso so the perfect amount of caffeine. They didn't have full 1 lbs bags of the beans I wanted, but the barista was accommodating and gave me 2 1/2lb bags for the price of the 1lb bag ( a few $$ savings). I didn't go in but peeking in through the window, it looks like there's a good amount of seating to enjoy your coffee or do some work. read more

I came here with a friend to study a couple days ago. The atmosphere is ideal- it's nice and quiet. Plenty of wall plugs to charge your computer when it runs low. The tables are a little small for two people to have their computers out, but there are plenty of tables to move for a convenient study session. Staff were friendly and drinks were great. Their menu has sweet pastries, muffins, and cakes. I didn't order any food this time, but I definitely will next time! read more

I haven't been here since it was previously fox hollow coffee, but I am glad I came. Roast is one of my favorite coffee shops because their coffee is so clean and never burnt. I had the best almond milk latte EVER. It was so good and so fresh. It made me realize how awful Starbucks coffee is!! The ambiance is really chill and has a "homey" feel to it. They play the greatest music as well! They have a smaller selection, but it just means what they have they do WELL!! They also have small pastries and energy balls which look really good!! All in all, I absolutely love roast and the atmosphere was great!!! 10/10 read more

The staff there was super nice making my first experience amazing!! They gave me a punch card and I really enjoyed my drink. The prices were also very reasonable, I paid a little less than $5 for my 16 oz caramel latte (cheaper than competitors). Would highly recommend especially because they have a drive thru option. Hadn't been in this location in a while, as the last time I was in here it was still Fox Hollow Coffee. Very glad I came in tho. Overall i like the roast locations. This one is smaller and more intimate than the location in Aksarben, with less seating overall, and a private parking lot. The coffee is clean and never burnt, which goes a long way to make me happy. Throw in dollar refills if you bring your own cup, and I am a happy camper. You can also get free samples of the coffee beans to take home and brew yourself on most days. With strong wifi at both locations, Roast is a great place to co-work from, and I do so frequently. read more

It's hard to find a local coffee shop that does drive thru coffee efficiently while maintaining quality. Roast is a perfect blend of the two. The barista was friendly and got my Americano out quickly. Signage is clear and the drive-thru system works great with minimal wait. I had an all around good experience at roast and think it can be a nice alternative to Starbucks for those looking to support local while staying in their car. read more

I have been a LOYAL customer DAILY for the past 5+ YEARS and over the past year I have been disappointed with how some of the new staff treat me at this particular location. There are always snarky rude side comments made by a couple women when I pull up to the window and sometimes they intentionally make it obvious. I have done literally NOTHING to deserve to be treated in this manner especially while i'm spending my hard earned money and contributing towards their paychecks. Very sad , especially when I know for a fact the Owner holds higher values! I am on my last straw and soon they will be losing a valuable customer as well as future customers. read more

Very cute decorative feel with the fireplace, love seats, and wooden support structures. The workers were very friendly and quick to start a conversation. However, the sole reason for me to try a coffee shop, the coffee, was nothing to write home about. I got an americano and it tasted like watered down espresso. New home after buying out Fox Hollow. Fox Hollow was one of my morning stops for quite some time (and even mid-day before the Keurig). Roast is the brick and mortar off-shoot of Hill of Beans, which is my favorite natural bean location in town. I think this is the 2nd location after the Aksarben venture and I hope they have much luck here. I didn't take time to note changes in the menu, but the previous team had a great mocha collection. read more

This coffee shop is so cozy and is the perfect place to study! The bagels are fantastic also!! Highly recommend.

I don't normally post reviews. Four of us went about 10:30 one morning. First disappointment (and the reason we went)--no pour over coffee. Second disappointment-- one of the two available non-flavored coffees had an empty carafe. Third disappointment-- the other brew only had one cup of coffee left so of course three of us had quite a wait . Fourth disappointment-- skim milk container sitting out was empty (and no cream container at all but it was available on request). Final disappointment-- no coffee beans for sale. And... though not a disappointment just strange/frustrating-- no menu on the wall so you stand in line and then can only decide what to order when you get up to the counter where a single menu is available to look down at. Not the coffee experience we wanted for our out-of-the-country guest nor what we would want anyone to think of when they think of Omaha's coffee scene.
