We wandered in here while searching for a store in the same neighborhood. It has a nice coffeehouse vibe with large windows that allow for plenty of natural light. The baristas were friendly and the drinks were reasonably priced. I tend to like my cold brew smooth and slightly sweet so I only got 2 shots of flavoring. It does tend to be a little on the bitter side so I would suggest increasing the sweetener if you don't like that. My sister got a hazelnut latte and said it was "delightful" with 1/2 flavoring.
Cute coffee shop! They have tons of seating and tables, as well as a sweet outdoor patio. The menu is full of every coffee drink I'd need. I'm a sucker for their shaken espressos. Since this location is in the hot spot of Aksarben and around many businesses and campus, it can get super busy. Thankfully, they have a pretty full staff and the line moves quick.
Roast coffeehouse is one of my favorite coffee stops in Omaha! The coffee is carefully crafted so you can enjoy every sip! The service is awesome too, everyone is always so friendly and always has a smile behind the counter. This makes the atmosphere feel welcoming. The space is clean and has soft lighting perfect for a study spot or space to sip your morning coffee. Their various croissants are from a local French bakery here in town called Le Petit. Be sure to get there early as some of the croissants sell out fast!
I'm a big fan of Hill of Beans coffee and decided to check out Roast Coffeehouse in Aksarben. It's so darn cute inside and they have lots of drink options. I tried the Double Oh Seven and added coconut and a little half and half, and that was a whole move. The baristas are wonderful and so friendly! Adding to my rotation of local coffee spots to hang out at!
Roast is the perfect coffee shop in Aksarben. The baristas move pretty quick even when it's busy which is nice plus they always help me modify my drinks! I've come for a quick to go drink many times and I've worked here for a morning a few times too. Working here is nice, it's a pretty chill atmosphere unless it's busy. Definitely some spots that are better to work from than others, but people filter through after a while so you can always move around if you're in for the day.
Visited this Coffeehouse when I was visiting for work. Delicious drinks and a pleasant. Environment to enjoy a drink and work for a bit. Recommend for some good caffeinated treats!
It's ridiculous that I haven't posted a review sooner. It's also ridiculous how DELICIOUS the blended mocha is (see photo). My only complaint (HINT: it's not a real one) is that it's excruciatingly difficult to drink slowly because it's so good. I can't believe I've never ordered it before the last 2 days, but it was probably for the best. Also, I really like that it doesn't have a bunch of ice chunks at the bottom that get stuck in my straw like sometimes happens with blended drinks. My husband and I are frequent fliers here (him usually being the one to pick up) and he's greeted by name, sometimes with our regular drinks prepared by the time he reaches the counter from line. The personal touch is rare and SO APPRECIATED! (I think name recognition is in part due to us using the Clover app to order a lot, which is SO convenient.) The ambiance is lovely -- full windows to allow a lot of natural light, and while the place has some echo (not a bad thing) there is no blaring music to make work or study difficult and plenty of varied seating. We have noticed our (iced) lattes may taste different depending on what time of day it's ordered, which is pretty common for local shops, but it's worth mentioning. And TIP: the hot lattes here are made as lattecinnos-- more foam than a typical latte and less milky -- unless requested otherwise. To me, it's too strong, but again this is MY personal preference! This is a great place for a caffeinated beverage and WiFi.
I was in the area and saw this coffee shop so decided to stop by. This place is nice and open. The service was great and great. The person who took our order was really helpful and patient. We ordered an ice vanilla latte and hazelnut latte. Both were great and and we'll blended. Overall had a great experience.
Great coffee shop over in Aksarben Village! I stop by here fairly regularly before class to get ready with some caffeine for the day, and maybe a pastry here and there. They have awesome coffee with a lot of your standard drinks, syrups and milk alternatives. Service has been great. I've been pretty happy with the pastries I've tried this far. Definitely a nice place to study or chat with some friends
Roast Coffeehouse was a great place to enjoy a beverage while getting some productivity in. I love how convenient it is in Aksarben Village; I stopped by after taking my weekend walk. My iced mocha was a bit rich for my taste but overall good and reasonably priced as well! Their menu has a lot of options. The service was amazing; all of the employees were very kind and managed a crowd well. This isn't necessarily the place to go if you want a quiet study space (at least on a Saturday morning) but the buzzing atmosphere definitely motivated me to get the work done that I needed to do and was surprisingly not too distracting. There are a good amount of tables/chairs inside and outside to sit and work or chat alone or with a group. I enjoyed sitting at the bar-like tables along the front window to get some sunlight and people-watching in while on my laptop. Fast internet too!
Cozy and comfy coffee shop to do some homework, have a meeting, or just stop in for a coffee to sit on the patio and read. Depending if you come during the morning rush it may be a bit noisier but there are plenty of tables to sit at. Roast has the best chai in Aksarben, quality and price! They do up-charge for milk substitutes but the already great prices don't even make me flinch at the increase for oat milk. Well worth it! Their coffees are great and their espresso is a darker roast and nuttier but occasionally when I need more of a boost, I get a dirty chai and it's been my new morning addiction! Give it a stop if you're in the area and a coffee/tea lover. read more

5000000000000/5 stars. Pastries are amazing, coffee is the best I've ever had in Omaha, super quick service and nice staff. Fav place ever read more
Five stars because it's a great standard coffee shop. As coffee snobs we know lattes are typically the best bet when you aren't at a craft spot known for pour overs etc. SO this was a great spot! Perfectly tucked into a fun little part of town with lots of food options and a dog park. The interior has a ton of seating and different options! It looks like they roast in house too which is great. A great stop for our roadtrip. read more

Great place to stop by for coffee! Staff is friendly, coffee is delicious, and food is great. To be honest, my biggest complaint is there is one outlaw in the whole coffee shop. It's a good place to stop in to quick grab a coffee but unfortunately you can't work or study there. I definitely would be able to stop in more if I could get some more work done but you're unfortunately limited to Your computers battery. read more

Love my Oat Milk Chai latte. First time going to Aksarben Roast location. It was fine. I usually go to the Roast on Blondo St. Masks were on all 6 (not sure why they needed 6) employees today. They also had a couple standing tables had wee wanted to stay in but we didn't. All was good. read more

I'm not local to Omaha, but anytime I happen to be in the area, going to Roast is a MUST. Their coffee is probably some of the best coffee in all of Omaha - it's my favorite! Never a disappointment. An iced oatmilk latte with vanilla and hazelnut is usually my go to, but I think it's the type of place where you can't go wrong with anything. I love the croissants as well! The almond croissant is to die for but the chocolate is equally delicious if that isn't available. I feel like I've never seen the shop empty and, especially on the weekend when the farmers market is happening, it's popping! Despite this, I usually get my drink in a reasonable amount of time. The employees have always been very friendly anytime I have been in. Trying Roast is a must! read more

Looking for a coffee shop in Aksarben Village? Stop here. It's open, airy, bright, and has great service. I was in the area for business and needed a place to work for a couple of hours. I'm not a coffee expert, but I liked that my roast was light. Great flavor. According to Facebook, Roast is just one spot of many for local roasters A Hill of Beans. It also says an outlet-free space which might cause some issues if you plan to work for a while. read more

Is there almond milk or oat milk?
Almond yes, but not sure if unsweetened is available or not. Not sure about oat milk. Great place - wish they were open inside. Window order only as of now.
