Got to visit Big Grove for the first time this weekend. My first initial thought was I loved how big and spacious it was both inside and out. There was a pretty moderate crowd, but I could see if this place is very busy. It still would feel like nobody would be on top of you. I ordered the Al pastor tacos for my entrée. They were fairly good at about a 3/5. Maybe slightly more meat inside would be nice and slightly more of the red sauce inside the taco. I didn't really get the red sauce that came on the side. Also the red sauce that came on the side just didn't hit for me or add any additional flavor to the tacos I thought. I drank ice tea. Pink packets would be nice for a sweetener but they only had yellow. Grrrrrr. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating and again the restaurant itself was very nice. I'll try a different dish next time. Overall pretty happy.
I saw this place online and decided to try it on a Saturday afternoon. Upon arriving I noticed people had their dogs sitting outside on the patio area. It was a good day to be outside so of course I chose to sit in the patio area. I didn't realize the dogs would be a disturbance with the barking and growing at other dogs. The customer service was great. I have no complaints. Our waiter was friendly and polite when I had questions about the drink options. I originally pick this location for their happy hour but I didn't know they didn't have their liquor license so we could only order seltzers which was disappointing. I ordered their chips and queso which was really good. I would recommend. Other than that I don't have the need to go back.
We decided to try Big Grove for lunch. It's spacious and attractive inside, and they also have a lot of seating outside. Our server was really nice and was knowledgeable about the food the restaurant offers. I always like seeing the vats at breweries, there is something that just fascinates me about them. The food: they do not have a huge menu, which is fine. I was a little surprised by the price of some of the apps; like $17.75 for meatballs and $14.99 for fried cauliflower. Fortunately the sandwiches and entrees were priced similar to what I would expect at a restaurant. The iced tea was smooth and attractive, I did not regret ordering it like I have at some restaurants. I got the Reuben, because if there's a Reuben on the menu, I have to try it. Big Grove's is a good corned beef sandwich made with quality ingredients. To my taste, though, the sauerkraut was minimal in quantity and hardly perceptible in flavor. Also; restaurants, please take note: if I am served a Reuben without a pickle spear, you have totally lost my respect. It costs you like a quarter. It's a vital part of the Reuben plate especially if the sauerkraut is not a major part of the sandwich. I doubt that I will return here; though my husband was happy with the Rachel, which is basically Reuben's sister. I think maybe there is free parking out front but we were surprised to see that at least in the back, it's metered parking. Unexpected for this part of town. Anyway; this is a nice place, and though I was personally disappointed in my meal, I do realize that probably a lot of people would maybe find this Reuben more satisfying than I did. But in my opinion, if a restaurant falls short on Omaha's signature sandwich, they aren't going to get 5 stars from me.

The environment is spacious and a fun place to bring groups to watch sporting events. Would recommend the bread pudding, it's spectacular when available!
Came in for the World Cup to watch one of the games and it was a great environment! We got a good seat to watch the tvs - there's so many you'll be able to watch from about anywhere (though some views may have blockages or be less comfortable). I got some beer (their one beer was a little too limey for me but the other one was great) and some wings with their Korean BBQ sauce on them. I'm fairly average handling spice and these had an ok kick - perfect for slowly eating them over the course of the game. Our waitress was great, she helped us get a better table to watch the game when we got in and checked in on us throughout!
I will start off by saying the outside seating area is a vibe! They have such a big patio space with tv's & games to play. The food was decent. Chips & queso was fine but kinda cold unfortunately. I liked the fried chicken sandwich, I enjoyed how crispy it was. Service was eh, I felt like it took foreverrrrr for us to get food, drinks & the check at the end. She was nice but also seemed like she didn't really like her job. Not sure if I'd be back to this place.
Went for the USA World Cup game so the place was very busy! You can tell they were a bit overwhelmed and struggling to manage to seat people. Outside of that, the drinks were good! I forget what it was called but enjoyed the cherry sour. I also had the poke bowl. It was good but, some of the veg did not taste super fresh. May pick something else next time. A bit pricey but, all the portions are large.
Big Grove has become a regular stop for me since they opened, and for good reason. The menu is on the smaller side, but everything I've tried has been solid -- the fried chicken sandwich especially stands out. The drink selection is a highlight too; good variety across beers and seltzer options that keeps things interesting no matter what mood you're in. Last night was the one time things felt a little off -- the margarita came across watered down, and our waitress seemed to be rushing us through the meal. But that's been the exception, not the rule. Every other visit the service has been warm and attentive. One off night doesn't undo a track record of good experiences, and I'll definitely be back.
This brewery is awesome! It is huge inside and outside. Plenty of seating for big parties, large crowds. We came here for a couple's shower, our friends are getting married. They picked the perfect spot to celebrate. We had a private room, with a buffet to feed us. Our favorite were the chicken wings and salad with the dill dressing. Oh my gosh. I could drink that stuff lol. The beer was really good too!! They have an amazing selection on tap. In addition to the food and drinks are their outdoor fire pits and games! We had a blast and would definitely come back again.
I'm not sure how I haven't reviewed this place yet but I feel like I've been 100 times. And every time, I get the pretzel. I love the huge open space and all the outdoor seating. The happy hour specials are great and I have had the Reuben a few times and it's super good. Chopped corned beef. The beers rotate so make sure you go a few times to try different ones. Pretty sure they still don't have liquor so be aware of that. All in all, a super chill vibe and good food and drinks.
The service here is amazing, never had a bad experience with the waiters/waitresses, and they always provide great recommendations, including beers from their draft list! We typically start off with the bacon fondue fries, they are astounding, and is a repeat order EVERY single time. The first time we ate here I got the BBQ Chicken Mac & Cheese. This literally was like I was experiencing eating mac & cheese for the first time all over again. I personally love how the cheese sauce is a little more on the liquidly side, but not too much where the noodles don't keep any on them. The barbecue sauce used pairs sooooo well with the cheesy liquidly goodness, and the chicken and green onion tops it all off with the perfect crunch! Past the food, I love the beers here and love a good brewery vibe you get, you can for sure taste how much effort goes into their local drafts. Will always be at the top of my list for date nights or a quick bite and drink.
My second visit in one month was so fun. We stopped in on random day during the endless winter break, and had jose as our server. He was delightful. We were showing my SIL Big Grove after my mother in law has developed a recent obsessed with the food and beer. Despite their still limited drink menu, we all found new beers to try and we split the pretzel, reuben boa buns, caprese, and fries among the table. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We even got a couple discount merch coupons and used them immediately. Can't wait to return.
I always like visiting Big Grove due to the variety of food and great drinks. Their beer brewed in-house is great and I love the rotating variety. They also have a few mocktails on the menu which alcohol can be added to, though are also delicious as is. I ordered a spiced cider mocktail which was a favorite for me and perfect for the fall season. I really love the menu and that there is an item for everyone. Some personal favorites of mine are the noodle bowl and fried chicken mac and cheese. I like that on the noodle bowl you can add different proteins, of which salmon is my preferred addition. I also really enjoyed their tuna poke bowl for a lighter feeling option, though still filling and left me with leftovers. The service has always been great, with super friendly and helpful staff. If you have questions about beer they're happy to help! In the summer I love the huge patio, which has plenty of seating and fire pits if you're looking to hang out. Inside is also large with seating for groups of all sizes. There is also a large party room in the back with a private bar that could be perfect for hosting an event. Big Grove also hosts many of their own events, which I've always had a great time at and love the activities planned. Parking nearby is easy and plentiful, with normal city parking meters (or through the ParkOmaha app).

The Big Grove has ample inside and outside seating available. The service was a little slow but the delicious caprese and lavender haze drink made up for it! The giant pretzel was your average pretzel. The menu has several options to chose from so something for everyone! Be sure to try an infused THC-infused sparkling water you won't be disappointed! Korean BBQ Cauliflower Wings were delicious. Bold spicy flavor, great crunchy texture, and OH MY SALTY. You'll need a gallon of beer to wash it down. Mediterranean wrap was delicious - fresh ingredients. Crispy crinkle fries. . Always a great spot to go with large groups. There is soooo much seating and a diverse menu for everyone. Menu is very clearly labeled. Parking options are a paid garage or street meters. read more

I've visited Big Grove twice in less than a month, which already says a lot because I usually try to go to different places! Most of the pictures in this review are from my first visit, when I was super impressed with the food, the service, the space... honestly everything. I had been wanting to try it since they opened, so we finally picked it for a date night. From the moment we walked in, every member of the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We were told we couldn't go wrong with any of the food items, and they were right. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, and my boyfriend got the burger. We also had the cauliflower wings as an appetizer. Every single bite was amazing! I even took some leftovers home and enjoyed them just as much the next day. Their menu is wide and has the classic brewery favorites, but they also offer some really interesting options like noodle bowls, a poke bowl, salads, soups, and more. There's definitely something for everyone. I was a little surprised that their beer list wasn't as long as I expected, but they're still pretty new, so I'm sure they'll add more soon. The space is huge and great for big groups. Our second visit was with a large party, and the experience was just as great as the first one. If you haven't checked them out yet, you definitely should. I am new to the area and was looking for breweries with food. There unfortunately are not a lot in Omaha. I found this one and was eager to try with a majority of positive reviews. I visited on a Monday right after they opened. The parking deck is right across the street and only a dollar an hour. I observed a large outdoor patio which looked nice and I'm sure is fun when the weather is warmer. I walked inside and observed a large to go beer cooler and merch area. The inside seating area is pretty big and a huge wrap around bar. There were already several patrons at the bar and tables. I sat myself and was greeted within a few minutes by the sole bartender - Brian. He was very nice, personable and poured beers quickly. He was by himself so not his fault but was stretched thin as the brewery started to get busier and it did not appear the servers poured beers at this establishment. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich. I elected to do regular fries and get the chicken "naked" but Korean BBQ and sesame ginger sauce on the side. It took around 20 minutes for my food to come out. I was disappointed to see the sandwich was coated in what looked like a sauce with sesame seeds. Brian immediately looked frustrated and took it back to the kitchen. I waited another 20 minutes for my second sandwich to come out that had both sauces on the side this time. The chicken was extremely dry and over cooked. It was like chewing a hockey puck and was almost tasteless. I was extremely disappointed. The fries were decent and Brian even offered to get me more fries for my inconvenience but I declined. The beer was pretty good. My favorite was the SHWA (super crisp, easy to drink and delicious). I would come back again to drink it but would second guess buying food again. read more

This is going to be one of our frequently visited places, I can already tell. I've had a great experience every time we've been here and have recommended plenty of people to come out here! We've only stopped after events to grab a drink, but we'll soon be making sure to visit for a meal as well. We enjoyed being able to sit out by the fire, have a drink and just hang out. We plan on being back soon and are looking forward to doing so in the winter times coming too! read more

Our waiter was awesome! Very attentive and very personable. He was knowledgeable and interactive! The space is great its large enough for big parties- has an indoor area and also a large outdoor patio with fire pits. Definitely a great spot to get with a group of friends. The food was good. Nothing really made me "wowd" but it was good! The short rib tacos were a little on the cold side when they came out. The beer and drinks were excellent. read more
Definitely a cool spot. It's HUGE. I grabbed a Saturday lunch here with a friend because we really wanted to try this place. It seems like a good vibe for really any event. Game days, casual lunches... We shared the pretzel and beer cheese appetizer which was good, just a little too crispy. I tried their house fruit seltzer (wild berry) and it was amazing. It was the perfect level of sweet and there wasn't the carbonation taste that usually comes with seltzers. They had some other drink options that sounded cool too. I got their Stir Fry which was also amazing! Service was great and very friendly! read more
I wanted to wait to review Big Grove until I had a few more visits behind me, but I gotta speak up. I was saddened that the state screwed around with them that brought on a big delay in opening, but they finally did it! The place is big. It's beautiful. There are so many different places to sit. I hope they are open to guests picking their seats, inside/outside, kind of outside, deep inside. Some with fire pits, others with flames above your head (when winter sets in, I assume). We just walked in and bellied up to the bar. A few Big Grove beer selections have already been making the rounds at Omaha bars, so we were a little familiar and happy with their brand. The restaurant has far more choices and they seem reasonably priced. I wish they offered all of them with smaller pours so we can sample the others we were unfamiliar with. The menu is pretty good too but I must say the prices seem a bit high. I know these are difficult times but... We shared the Rueben sandwich with fries. At $17.25, we thought this better be good. It wasn't good, it was FANTASTIC. The sandwich will challenge other leading contenders in Omaha, which is home to the Reuben. This had real corned brisket, not the fake processed stuff. The right amount of sauerkraut, dressing, and cheese. All combined and stuffed between two slices of delicious warm toasted bread. I did not want that sandwich to end. The fries were fresh and hot, though lacked quantity. I'm looking forward to returning and trying the Reuben Bao Buns which sound intriguing. read more
I went to Big Grove's soft opening and, after months of buildup and excitement, I was thrilled with my experience! The place quickly filled up after we got in, so I was happy we came early. There were so many seats inside and outside, with most of the outdoor seating being covered. There's indoor booths, tables, and seating at the bar, which is nice for people who want options. This is definitely the kind of place I would bring a group to hang out or grab a meal. There was a limited beer menu for the soft opening, so I ordered their light lager and really enjoyed it! I ordered their tuna poke bowl since you don't see that much around here. The fish, mango, and everything in the bowl tasted fresh and delicious. Probably the best poke bowl around town! We're so happy this place is finally open! We walked down and were seated quickly. I didn't realize how big this place was going to be. There's SO much room, inside and out. We sat outside on a large picnic table to watch the football game. There was also seating your fire and a couple of outdoor games, including cornhole. For how busy they were, service was still pretty quick. At this point, they still only serving the alcohol. They brew on property but everything we have a good table was great. I got the flavored alcoholic seltzer. It seems like they just add the flavor to the seltzer so that is nice to know that you could probably customize how much flavoring/sugar you want. For food, we started with the soft pretzel, which was very buttery and soft. The beer cheese that came with it was flavorful. I got wings, which were huge and sauced really well. The ranch to dip in was the good, runny kind-- the sign of a good bar. My husband got the chicken sandwich and it was huge. It was cooked well- nice and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. You can also get a number of their beers to go including their climbing kites THC/CBD drinks. We can't wait to return to try more things! read more

Wife and I Big grove for lunch today. Absolutely delicious! All the staff were very friendly. Great ambiance inside and awesome outside covered patio. I had the mushroom pasta and it truly delivered. So much flavor, hearty and delicious! The stir fry noodle bowl with salmon was also a bit hit. All the food looked great from what I could see. Beautiful and spacious area with different seating options and a wide range of guests from young families with kids to older couples out for a drink. The service was super fast and friendly! Our server was helpful when helping us decide what meal or drinks we wanted. The Brewers Board was filling and comforting. The pretzel was buttery and salty- very rich. They had a great cheese dipping sauce and fun sides. My seltzers were flavorful and bubbly. They're pretty decent sizes for the price. I loved how many flavors of seltzers they had. It was a little disappointing to see how few beers they had on tap- but we know it's not their fault. I know they're a great brewery stuck in certain city rules. But the beers we did have were really good and fresh. My Grove salad was packed full of toppings and dressing- just the way I love my salads. The fried chicken mac and cheese was crispy and rich. I loved the large amount of seating and cool outdoor patio they had with fireplaces. They have good high top tables and a bar, but regular seating is picnic style tables which can be challenging for some. The patio was beautiful and had plenty of lights and seating. They have a great shop area when you enter the brewery. Their shirts and items are much more elevated than typical shops. They have a unique style that makes you actually want to wear their brand or use their cups. It seems silly, but I will say their parking lot was extremely confusing. You do have to pay for metered parking on the 'street' or the paid garage next door. It did seem to discourage me from staying or staying a while, knowing I have to pay to be there, plus my bill inside. Part of being at a brewery and having a good time may mean leaving my car overnight, but knowing there's meters makes me want to cut my night short and try somewhere else. read more
Finally went to big grove with some friends and had a nice experience, first I should mention that the restaurant itself is very big, and has a very cool covered outdoor patio with firepits and lots of seats, I would say it is very family friendly. The indoor portion is huge, and has an area to buy beer and big grove merchandise. The menu isn't very big, but i think there is likely something for everyone, vegetarian, fish, and meat options are available. We sat at the bar, the service was good, and there is also a lot of beer and drink options, I recommend the margarita and the Mexican beer. The chicken sandwich was good, very juicy and you can order it dipped or regular with sauce on the side. The side salad and fries were both good, I probably liked the salad a bit more, it was really refreshing with fresh dill, cucumbers and chick peas. The food is kind of expensive, but the portions are big, and pretty much everything is expensive these days, so i can't ding them too much on that. read more
Stopped in after an event at the Catalyst building and so glad we did. What a unique place. A warehouse vibe with tons of seating. Whether you are with a big group or small there's a place for you. I also found out they have a private room you can rent that seats 100! It can also be split if needed. In the summer they look like what is an amazing patio! Without a full liquor license (yet) they got creative with some alcoholic seltzer drinks that mimic classic cocktails. They are as tasty as they are original. I had the Naughty Pepper ( lime juice, mango puree, jalapeño syrup and seltzer base, tajin rim) and it was one of the tastiest cocktails I have ever had! In fact writing this makes me want another! I believe the alcohol content from the seltzer is about 5%. My point is they taste great and you won't miss the hard alcohol. My husband had a crisp very cold beer on tap Shwa and loved it. Their menu looks phenomenal ( and rotates quarterly) and I will be back to try but last night shared an enormous chocolate chip cookie! It would have been perfection if it was warmed but still delicious! I mean it was salad plate sized! The staff are all friendly and really invite you in. They told me a lot about fun events they are planning and have already done ( plant bingo for example). It sounds like Big Grove is making an effort to envelop the community and I love that. Another big draw if I have not hooked you already is the parking. It's plentiful which is a shock in itself. Please give them some love in these cold winter months. You will leave happy! read more
Fun vibes all around! There were plenty of parking when we came, not too busy of an area. The have fireplaces outside, which was perfect for fall nights. We've been here twice and have left satisfied each time. The garlic parm wings were a little bit too saucy imo though. Our server was nice and quick and even offered to make a new drink for me if I didn't like the drink she recommended. I got the stir fry noodle bowl - favorite on the menu so far!! Big grove is great for a chill night out. I went to get a beer and some apps with my friend and I really enjoyed it. The beer was delicious (definitely get the Gabagold) and the chips and queso were tasty. The staff were nice and very helpful. They played great music and had some board games that you could play. Awesome place! read more
Great food in a really cool space. Loved how large and open the restaurant/bar is. I want to go back when it warm to be out on the patio or when they have all of the garage doors open for that indoor outdoor feel. Service was fast, drinks came out quick as well as the food. We got a couple of apps and they were all delicious! Chips and queso, the chips were light and crispy with warm white queso. The Ruben boa buns had fluffy buns and were full of meet, sauerkraut and dressing. We also go the Caprese which was really good and came with a large portion of focaccia. Highly recommend checking this place out! read more
Lots of food was had at Big Grove. Some of the best service that I have had in Omaha. Server was kind and patient with our ordering. Burger though was pretty overcooked with little juice in the condiments. Sweet potato fries were similar. Mac snd cheese looked great. My wife loved her salad and the Philly was very juicy so might of just ordered the wrong thing. read more

I first came here for Yelp's dinner party and had wanted to return for normal service. We came once after a UNO hockey game and even though it was almost an hour until closing, the bartender seemed annoyed we were there, was short with us, and there was a general lack of helpfulness. We'd sent several people here after the dinner party, and I didn't want to have that be the only other experience we had here. We returned for a Husker game and it was a way better experience! It was Wicked weekend so they had fun specials, we tried the Shiz sangria and it was the perfect fall drink. We also had the chips and queso and brewer's board. The board was everything I wanted it to be! I loved the caraway seed in the kraut, the flavor was fantastic! The sausage was rich and the pretzel perfectly crispy. The chips and queso were good and we got another basket of chips on the house since there weren't enough to last the whole bow of queso. The second time we returned was Thanksgiving weekend. Our friend from Chicago was in town and we knew this would be a great place to check out. I got the fried chicken Mac and cheese, which was even great the next day as leftovers. We tried a variety of beers, all good, and my friend tried to THC drink and enjoyed it. Looking forward to coming back and sitting on the patio with a warm fire and cold beer. read more
