We started coming to scriptown pretty regularly for weekly trivia. The Thursday night trivia host does a great job. They have a lot of great beer selections. My favorite is the goat smack and my partner likes the lotus IPA. It's also nice because they have the barbecue restaurant next-door and you can order and they'll bring the food to you in the bar. Updating my review, since I finally come back after two years away from Scrip town! My friends and I came in for a birthday night of trivia, and had an absolute blast, although we came in dead last. The trivia leader did an amazing job, and came to our table a couple times to socialize with us (probably because we were the only non-regulars that night). It was a fun, trivia set, and very interactive with the whole establishment. The drinks were great as usual, I totally forgot. They have such a big menu with some great looking dinner options as well! We only had drinks, but I really enjoyed the nut drop brown ale, and sampled a few of the mules as well. Although this is across town for me, I would absolutely come in again for a fun night of trivia, or even just a great beer! read more

We stopped into Scriptown with a few friends as we bopped around Blackstone during the Christmas pop-up season. They had a few Christmas lights up, but nothing compared to other bars in Blackstone for the season. I'm not saying that hurts its score, but just to say, it was rather dark in there, and you couldn't really see your way around really - it was literally JUST the little twinkle lights for illumination. The beer was great, but I love Scriptown beer wherever I can get it (they even have it at the Alamo Drafthouse, so I can get it a lot actually!). My favorites are the Honey Lager and the Saddle Creek Wheat, because I like the lighter flavors of beer vs. the heavier or sour ones. I appreciate that they offer lots of different options in their beers they brew, so that everyone can find something they like there. I'm not sure if it's worth coming to the actual location, when Scriptown is so prevalent all around Omaha - but if you want to stop by and see where the magic happens, then give it a try, but watch out for how dark it is in there! read more

This is a great local brewery right in the middle of Blackstone. Every time I've visited, I've really enjoyed everything I have ordered. I was excited to see the attached barbecue restaurant open recently so that there are food options available, and I can't wait to try the food because of how good it smelt. This is a fun spot that gets lively in the evenings, though is very casual and low-key. The bartenders are always super friendly, being very attentive and fast with service. My company had our holiday party in the Kaufman room attached to the bar. We received great service and the staff (Kylie and Connor) were super friendly and accommodating! The room was spacious and fit 60+ people. They even had a front room with a coat rack and a few couches for seating. There was ample space to move about and mingle. Not only does Scriptown have beer but they have a great food selection of Momos. My first time having Momos and I was impressed. My friend and I popped in on a Saturday evening and were surprised it wasn't more full! This is a legit spot, go here people! Both bartenders we dealt with were nice and our food was super quick to come out, beers filled fast. Per my usual, I had a flight to try as many beers as I could in one sitting. Their flights are just $8 for 4 beers, wowza! We sat on their adorable back patio and relaxed like no other. Started with the 5.3% Petal Pusher Hibiscus Ale which was a nice introduction to brewery. Had the DIPA Yitz & Yotz and 8.3% taste of goodness and 7.1% Goatsmack Helles Bock because I was feeling nearly metal in the middle. I always finish with a heavy so went with the 10.8% St. Meinrad Quadrupel, appropriately a belgian quad. Hit all the right flavors and scored well by me on Untappd. All in all, a pleasant parlay into Scriptown's palate. The Momos were just divine. We had Chicken ($8) and Pork ($9) both of which were spicy in all the right ways. We also tried the Aloo Chop which also made us happy. A great dinner to go with our brews. Scriptown is a wonderful brewery to pop into in Omaha, well worth sitting on the patio in the back and please do order those momos from next door! read more

Been to Scriptown a couple of times now. I've had great experiences with their staff; they have always been very friendly, helpful, and do their best to give fast service! It's pretty loud, so it can be hard to have good conversations if that's what you're coming for. It's open seating and can sometimes be hard to find a table, but they have seats around the bar and windows so you can usually find a place to sit. Scriptown doesn't have any food options but they have a partnership with Momo's and Noli's! So you can order dumplings and pizza from your bartender and they'll get it for you! Very convenient. They have tons of beer options, good amount of fun, local brews! They have many growler options to take home as well. Their Mein Schatzi Adambier was really good, it was a chocolate wine beer. Very unique and had great flavor! I have tried their whiskey sours and mules too and have never been disappointed! Their bartenders do good work. They host trivia on Monday nights at 7. The top 3 teams have a chance to win gift cards. The trivia was okay, they did it really fast and it was hard to talk in between answering questions. Their trivia host wasn't very engaging. I've done trivia at places I liked better, probably won't come back for that specifically again. Overall, Scriptown is a great place to check out when you're in Blackstone! Of the group I was with, a few people were huge fans of their beers and several more thought that they were just fine. The overall experience was nice, but if you're on the hard cider/fruity drink train, there's really not much here for you. I think I found my favorite brewer in Omaha, NE... Maybe it was the very inviting rustic decor, or maybe it was the very entertaining and educational conversation with the owners, or maybe it's just that the beer I choose to try was plain good, but something left a very nice impression. The location is at one far end of the Omaha Blackstone district, and the wood decor all around I find inviting and friendly. The owners were super friendly and when they learned I started home brewing myself were very forthcoming with tips and tricks. We hung out here on a Thursday night for a YP Halloween Trivia Night! We were in the party room for most of the evening but the bar seemed to be pretty happening. I enjoyed a hard seltzer from Bricktown Brewery. My friends all got different beers on tap, brewed in house, and enjoyed them. Fun atmosphere and great area! The bar space seemed to be too large for the two bartenders staffing it to keep up with while their "current offerings" chalkboard fails to notify which beers aren't available (the one I wanted were both out and had been for awhile) because they didn't want to "ruin how pretty it looks," even though it is simply writing. Scriptown is probably my favorite brewery in Omaha. I LOOVE their Ups and Downs which is brewed with their neighbor Archetype's coffee. It is rotating so make sure you check which one it is. My favorite is the Porter - tastes like cold brew! You can order pizza delivery from Noli's and Dante. And from what I can tell they are very quick! A great place to meet up with friends for some drinks! I love the casual feel of Scriptown and I think it's perfect for winding down with friends or co-workers after work, as a pre-dinner drink, and a great weekend spot for groups! (Also a great place to meet on Thursdays at 6pm for the Scriptown Running Club!) A craft brewery, they offer many varieties of small batch beers. They also have a house ginger beer which is fantastic in their Moscow Mules. Since I'm not much of a beer drinker I'd enjoyed many varieties of mules as well as their beer cocktails which are delightfully refreshing! While they don't offer any food other than mixed nuts and pretzels, they do occasionally bring in food pop-ups and you of course can order from Noli's across the street and enjoy it in the bar. Scriptown has been a great anchor in the growing Blackstone neighborhood and I'm glad it's popularity is growing! read more

Such a great atmosphere! Two of my friends and I went here for an event paired with cornflower. They had beer floats- and great combinations of ice cream/beer. I have had Scriptown goat smack before, but never been inside the brewery. They do have outdoor seating but it did not look like they had any heaters for those chilly days. They play some really awesome music that gives the place a cool, almost grunge, vibe. Only reason this is a one star is because you can't give a zero star. First time visit here, I'm in Omaha from Texas and thought a beer would be refreshing. Walked in wearing masks and sat at the bar. The bartender threw the menu down, said we are out of brown ale and walked away. My brother was walking to the restroom and didn't have his mask on fully and the bartender yelled at him to wear it as he was walking to the restroom. Then proceeded to chide me and told me to help him with that. Like why is he bitching at me? I'm sitting at the bar looking over the menu. Needless to say we walked out. A fun new place to check out in Omaha. I always love the Decor of repurposed Bardwood, exposed brick walls and an open ceiling, which is exactly what scripttown embodies. I am not a beer drinker, so sometimes I feel it is a little bit unfair for me to write a review of a brewery, but we had a great time here. I got the Johnny B cocktail. I really liked that the cocktail included maple syrup. Something a little unique I don't recall seeing before. I've been a regular at Scriptown for over a year. Everything is great - the beer, the bartenders, the ambiance, the patio, and the location. You can bring food in with you --- or you can have the bartenders order you a pizza from Noli's to be delivered. The bartenders are knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. There's a lot of seating around the bar, as well as some four-person tables and a couple larger tables. The seats are comfortable and it's easy to have a conversation. I love sitting out on the patio during the summer. It's tucked behind the bar, so again, fairly quiet for conversation. Of course, Scriptown is in the Blackstone District, which means access to other hip and quality spots. Parking can be a challenge, though, especially when there's construction, but they do pretty well at communicating parking updates on social media. LOVE LOVE LOVE Scriptown. read more

Worst experience with a bar in my life. When giving their IDs to have a beer after work on a Tuesday night at 7 pm (for a group of guys who were 22 , 22 and 25 years old), the waitress cussed at them and told them they were fake and to come back in 12 years. This waffle wagon appears to have set up shop permanently in the Blackstone District parking lot in a wonderful symbiotic relationship with Scribtown Brewing and Archetype Coffee.
