Great staff. Fun events. Good beer. Came here in a Wednesday night for their trivia event (they have weekly events almost every day of the week) and it was executed very well. The interior of the brewery was full (it was close to 100° so not many people wanted to sit outside today but I've seen the patio filled before also). The place is decorated pretty well and the staff is very attentive. Explained their locally made beers and liquors well. Happy to provide samples as well. What a cool spot in Aksarben. It's a very big spacious tap room for some of Nebraska's best beer. They have all the hits on tap, including new or seasonal beers. I always opt for a flight and surprisingly, they have 5 beers to sample, versus your typical 4. I really enjoyed the dragon juice and of course the devil's gap. The flight is just under $10 - what a steal! We stopped in on a Thursday and stayed late enough to play a few rounds of bingo. They even give you the stampers like you see at your grandma's bingo hall. If you get a bingo you get a beer! I will definitely come back! read more

We stopped in for a release party for the new Omaha Maverick beer, Bull Market. Being that it was a release party, the place was pretty crowded but the staff was excellent and the beer list is (as expected) very extensive. I only had the Bull Market on the day we went, but would gladly stop back and do the flights or have a few beers before a Maverick sporting event. The tap room is inviting and would be pretty spacious on a normal evening. Although they don't serve food, others have mentioned that you can bring food in and there are several restaurants nearby. Also, in the past I've tried several Kinkaider products from stores or on tap at other restaurants, so I wanted to add that briefly here. many people have mentioned Winter Beast which is a good one, and my wife and I tried snozzberry sour many years ago and have continued to buy it from time to time. I was very excited to experience this brewery with my friend who lives in Omaha. I sadly didn't get to have any drinks because after looking at my Iowa ID for about 10 seconds the bartender said she couldn't accept it. It seems as though she had made a judgement based on my looks prior to examining my ID. I can assure you I'm older than 21 and wouldn't be writing this if I wasn't. I asked what was wrong with it and she said "the lamination looks off". My suggestion to the brewery would be to get an ID scanner or train your bartenders better. I have to say this was a sour start to the weekend with my friend (who is the same age as me) who wanted to show me her favorite brewery. read more

Nice addition to Aksarben and extra nice for those of us who work in the area. Great happy hour spot. Chill modern vibe with a central location. Beers are great, especially the Dragon Juice IPA that the bartender helpfully (and correctly!) recommended to me. Long, galley-style seating inside. It's kind of like bar or bar-adjacent, though there's decent separation between the two. Once the weather warms up there's also a good patio space outside. We'll be back, probably a lot. read more

Located in the old Liv Lounge space, Kinkaider is exactly what Aksarben Village needs; a local beer taproom! I recommend doing beer flights (taster trays) to try different selections. With the flight I had, I quickly learned I'm not a fan of the Snozzberry but a huge fan of Snow Beast. As I said earlier, it's in the old Liv Lounge space and the decor still feels that way. In addition, the bar area is a bit tight where the aisle is between the hi-tops and barstools. Also, it would be great if they had more food selections available; maybe some pretzels, snack mix etc. Sandwiches would be even better! This is my favorite place to get a drink in Alsarben. On Tuesdays they've got a paint night where if you buy a cup for $20 you get the first beer free add half off beer in the future on Tuesday's. Solid microbrewery in Omaha. Large selection of microbrewed beers with hard liquor available as well. Great, friendly service. Outdoor searing is available. The beer was ok. I'm mainly a whiskey and wine guy these days, so perhaps my palate is not as calibrated as it once was. The Wiser Red Ale I thought was a top-notch, well made beer. Creme ale - not so much. Kinkaider is among the best breweries in the state so I was super excited to see that they were opening a tap room in Omaha! I dropped by its new location in Aksarben Village for the grand opening and couldn't have been more impressed. The place was packed so rather than wait for a server, I walked up to the bar to order. In total they had 15 beers on tap as well as 7 ciders and cocktails. I had an enjoyable experience drinking a beer on the outdoor patio on a beatiful day. The beer tender Colin seemed as though he had anywhere else to be, maybe Pilates, maybe the Witcher season 2, maybe a Covid test, who knows? All I know is that when I ordered a beer and another person said all shots were on her that I was still charged with a shot. This is not what I would anticipate, maybe from maybe JD tuckers? Not a reputable establishment like Kink-Rider. All in all my bingo night was ruined, I had high hopes my bingo night would be a bing bong night, but no. This location is a good addition to the Omaha beer scene, not great though in our opinion. Staff is very nice and fairly helpful, the location is ok, but basically a spruced up strip mall space. The Lincoln location has a much cooler feel. Our major problem is that beer quality is not too good. The Nebraska beer scene overall needs to improve, despite a couple bright spots. read more
