We had a nice time at Site-1 Brewing. We came on a Friday for lunch which is the only day they're open for lunch btw. We started with the chip and dip which is a house made French onion, it was a nice little starter. Paired well with my beer which was a site lite. It was also solid. I had the Cadillac pizza and so did my buddy. I enjoyed it, it was a little thinner than other Detroit style I've had which isn't necessarily a negative thing just a difference. My other friend got the strato bird sandwich. She said it was tasty and the focaccia bread was really good. Overall had a good experience and will be back. The staff was friendly enough but not super enthusiastic to be there haha. The place is large with lots of seating with some big picnic tables and board games would be a great place to spend extended time with a group of all sizes. read more

I met up with a friend here the other night to grab dinner, a beer (of course), and to play trivia. We had such a great time! Their food is delicious, and you can't go wrong with any of the pizzas. I love the variety of pizzas offered, though my favorite is the Cadillac. I also love the Cuban sandwich, and if fresh focaccia is your thing, it's amazing here! Inside, you'll find a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The bartenders are always super friendly and have great recommendations if you're not sure what to order. They always have a wall of their current beers posted so you know what's on tap and some information about what the beer is. Compared to many breweries, they always have a great variety on tap at once to appeal to a range of tastes. They often have events, with live music on Thursday nights, trivia, brunches, and more. Seriously? The beer was okay, we've been doing the buy a beer and get a beer for a penny all over town, they didn't honor this!?! (Which is why we even chose this place over other local places) So we had 2 beers (one each) then a pizza. The pizza said 1-2 persons please don't be fooled I'm 125#s and I could inhale this and still be hungry. We'd planned on sharing so we did, that ended up being 2 pieces each. And I don't mean like an actual slice of pizza. I mean a 3x3' square. Our total was 36$ BEFORE a tip. That's $7 a beer. Which is a bit pricey ( we drink beer across the nation so we're comparing nationally and locally). The pizza was $22.. please tell me why we're going somewhere else to eat now?? We attended a drag brunch at Site-1 this past weekend and had THE BEST time! I started with an espresso martini, which they had as a specialty for the brunch. It was super coffee-forward, which I enjoyed, and really smooth with a tiny bit of foam on top. I would definitely go back for those. My husband had the moonshot coffee porter, a perfect early afternoon option that had a good coffee flavor and wasn't too heavy as some porters can be. Brunch was a buffet of muffins, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and my favorite, Backlot Taphouse breakfast pizza. Let me tell you... the pizza had the traditional crispy detroit-style sides but was topped with sausage gravy, eggs and cheese. It was gooey, flavorful and I could have eaten a whole one myself and still been asking for more. The vibes overall were so fun. They had music playing, the bright sunshine beamed in from the large front windows and the classic brick interior set the scene for a fun downtown hang. The staff working were so kind and welcoming of everyone. You could see them cheering on the performers and even took a little walk down the runway at the end of the show themselves. Im a bit of a beer snob -- okay im actually a huge beer snob with over 4000 unique on untappd -- At any rate I like site 1. Its nice to have a good brewery slinging beer in the farnam hill area, and site1 does just that. Ive had many of their beers but my favorite is the Starburst IPA. For my first flight i got: - Fiesta del sol - NEPA - Not a planet - storyteller All 4 were at least drinkable, and most were excellent examples of the beers style. This is the second time ive been here, and the food is also fantastic. Will definitely come back. My only complaint is the wifi wasnt working and the beertender had no idea how to fix it. read more

Bob and I went to my first Yelp Elite Event. Site 1 is pretty great I've been a couple of times before. Great beer selection, I had The Bones are The Money. Beer was great, service was great, food was great. I was here midday so it was quiet which was great for being able to get some work done. Site-1 Brewing is an awesome brewery! I stopped by with a friend on a Saturday night. The staff here was friendly and attentive from the start. We both ordered flights, I prefer dark beers so I picked the Storyteller and Moonshot (an espresso milk stout and coffee porter respectively) and our server picked the other two based on that. We also ordered some food, the Omaha Dawg, Deviled Eggs and the Mac & Cheese. The Storyteller was my favorite out of the ones I tried, it's a very good stout in my opinion! When I found out that there was a new space-themed tap house just a couple blocks from where I live, I was eager to try it out. There's not a ton of options for parking, but luckily we went during a weekday evening when it wasn't too busy. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by the bartender and told to sit anywhere we wanted. The bar area is sleek with plenty of lighting to make it feel very high-end. There were many adequately dispersed tables to sit at, and there was a cute area by the windows with fun swivel chairs to sit in. Along the walls were cool space-themed decorations and magazines to really lock down the theme of the place. I love that there are unique food options to try here and not just your typical bar food. We ordered the duck confit flatbread and were tempted to get another after devouring it all. The delicious cheesecake really topped off our meal perfectly. After perusing the beer menu, we decided to try the beer flight in order to test out multiple beers. My favorites were definitely the 12 Million Miles Per Minute and the Moonshot Coffee Porter. The waitress informed us that they'd have new beers coming in soon, so you can bet you'll find me back here again to try them out! I'm glad to see such unique fun places popping up around Omaha, and in new areas of town too. Everyone needs to check this place out; you won't regret it! read more

We have been to this brewery two times now. The first time was over a year ago, and they had a great selection of beers and a great kitchen lineup. Fast forward a year later, they don't have their kitchen anymore which is upsetting. They had some delicious menu items back in the day. They had a decent selection to offer on tap recently, and the atmosphere was very quiet and calming inside. An empty brewpub at 7:30 on Wednesday night. The cute, sweet waitress was right on us when we walked in the door. I questioned her about a few beers and without asking, she offered to bring me a sample. I ended up taking the moonshot coffee, Porter, and topped it off with a quarter of the solar flare. The solar flare has many spices and was very tasty, but it seemed to have too much spice as an aftertaste for a full glass. I think my combination was spot on. For food, I chose to have the Omaha Dawg. The person I dined with chose the pulled pork sandwich. Of course, we couldn't resist ordering a mac & cheese to share. The macaroni and cheese was broiled with a hard, crunchy top and a soft noodle saucy underside. The flavor is good. The dish is a bit cold underneath. I understand when they broil it it would burn if they cooked it much longer but perhaps they should heat the mac & cheese so that the underside is just as hot as the rest of the meal. The barbecue pork sandwich was very tasty. There was tons of meat that overflowed the bun. The bun was grilled, soft and tasty. Do not let the jalapeños in the sausage scare you away. They seem to be nonexistent. No spice at all. The mustard, however, is a spicy brown mustard and absolutely delicious. I put the barbecue sauce on the side of my hotdog and dipped my potato chips in them. Gave her a great flavor. Strange thing, they do not have ketchup in the house. As for the chips, they are a crunchy kettle chip seems to have low salt, but great flavor. My only complaint about my dog is that the bun split on both sides, so it was difficult to hold and eat. The barbecue sauce is delicious. I should ask what kind it is. Overall I am impressed with the food. I wish the mac & cheese was served hot. I think when they broil it they think it comes out hot enough but they should warm it prior to going in the broiler. The beer is great although I only had the one. Would I come back? Yes! I would love to come back on a weekend night to see if it is more lively. They have games on the back wall as well as game boards up front. It would be a great place to come and hang with friends. If I owned this joint, I would most definitely put in bigger TVs to add a different vibe. I think it would draw a good crowd and liven the place up. I would love to give this place 4 1/2 stars. But it only allows me to give either four or five. I took off half a star because of the bun on my dog and the lukewarm mac & cheese. Other than that I thought it was a stellar place. read more

Came here for a quick drink. The taps are always changing. If you really look forward to a certain beer, it may not be there, however talk to your server. Our server gave us some great suggestions and even offered samples so we knew we would enjoy what we had. There's a variety of seating whether it's chilling by the window in lounge-type seating, bar seats, or standard table & chairs, this place is chill spot to hang-out. I wanted to make the review for the Elkhorn location but I didn't have the option. I went to this establishment for the first time (not a beer enthusiast) and I will have to tell you the drink and food choices were shockingly interesting and so very tasty! I started with a cocktail called the Luna margarita. I will tell you I've never tasted anything like it and it was scrumptious! I had the Cosmic Brussels and the Shrimp Novas. The Brussels were amazing with the sauce, nuts and cooked to perfection! However it was the Shrimp Novus that knocked my socks off! They had me at Gouda but the polenta cakes were out of this world! I first visited Site-1 Brewing when they opened at the end of 2020, and I was so impressed with their beers, that I had to make a return visit! First off, the space is gorgeous, between the unique lights and fun furniture, there is plenty of room to distance here. This time I chose a seat at the bar, and the bartender was very helpful in suggesting a beer. I think my favorite was the Cloudberry Sky pale ale. They have a little bit of everything on their beer list, and also a great looking cocktail menu, although I haven't tried any of those yet. Can't decide? They also offer beer flights where you can take your pick of 4 beers to try. They also have a great food menu! I tried the pretzel bites and a flatbread, and both I would consider to be more upscale that your typical brewery/bar food. As with most downtown businesses, there is street/metered parking only, although I didn't have an issue finding a spot right out front either time I visited, and easy to pay with the parking app. If to-go is more your jam, they did have a cooler with several varieties of 4pks to go, as well as 32oz crowlers. read more

I'm not sure what to make of my contrasting experiences from ite-1. I only had beer during my first couple of visits, and a few people in my party had cocktails and apps. The beers have always been good, the apps have received okay at beer reviews and people seem to enjoy the cocktails. We went with friends on 5/15 and the food was unquestionably awful, the beer and cocktails were good but we're unfortunately overshadowed by the bad food and kitchen service. The bartender is very nice and works hard to keep the customers happy, so kudos to her. I hope Site-1 is simply going through a transitional phase and the food situation get a much needed boost. read more

We were visiting breweries while in Omaha, and this one was among the top options we wanted to try. They have only been open since last December (so 7 or 8 months), but they are already established in the Omaha beer scene. It was a quiet Wednesday afternoon when we were there. When we walked in the two brewers, Matt and Dave, and a few others on staff were doing a barrel tasting from one of their latest brews. We talked at length with Matt and Dave about how they got into brewing, which other local breweries are their favorites, and their beer preferences. Lagers aren't our thing, but kudos to them for brewing what they enjoy drinking most. We had their IPA (Lil DIPA) and the Rye (Intergalactic Planeterye), which were both really good. read more

I'd like to start this review with I had an AWESOME beer that I would get a million times. It was called Hops That Time Forgot. YUMMY pale ale. We ordered the salad with chicken and pretzel bites. The pretzel bites were good. It came with 3 sauces- all yummy in different ways! The marshmallow sauce made me want to try the sweet potato tots with it. The reason I'm giving them a 3 is because of the chicken on the salad. Maybe that is dramatic, but it looked and tasted like it came out of a pouch. Kinda like those tuna to go pouches. I was glad to see another nanobrewery pop up in the midtown area. This time in the Farnam Hill district! Located in the old Barnhart Press building, this is a nice open space where you can sit at the bar or pick from the many tables available. I suggest getting a flight (you can pick 4 beers), sit back and enjoy the quality brews here. They also have some fun cocktails on the menu and a solid wine selection. Plenty of street parking available out front or a hop, skip and a jump from the 24th Street ORBT bus stop (let's enjoy our beverages responsibly, people!). All in all, a solid 5 star experience here. My daughter and her new husband hosted friends at Site 1 for their post wedding dinner and dance. They rented the entire venue and everything was perfect from start to finish! Addi, Brady and Shannon wouldn't have it any other way! They were delightful to work with as was every person working there that night.
