One of my most favorite breweries in Omaha. Kept in the heart of Little Bohemia, the drink options feel limitless. I have never had a bad drink here. Their cups are unique and I swear it makes the drinks taste better. They have amazing hard seltzers that are like nothing I've ever had before. You order at the bar and then seat yourself. It's a cozy atmosphere that's split with a wine bar next door. They also sell bar food and chips. They also have some cool looking merch. Love this place! read more

We stopped into Lumen the other week and had a great time. They are a small but cute newer brewery off of 13th street down from Old Market in little Bohemia. Tried an IPA and my favorite was the orange Julius seltzer, it was basically like sipping boozy orange juice. They have quite a few spurs for those that like them. Simple decor inside, they have the classic library stools I remember from elementary school. They also offer have a small snack/food menu although we did not partake. Give them a try! Little Bohemia is becoming a destination, and Lumen is a necessary stop. You'll be surprised on entry as you step from a cracked Omaha sidewalk and walk straight into Scandinavia. Light wood, minimalist interior, cozy vinyl sounds. It's soothing. The beer, meanwhile, adds more energy. Lots of IPAs and an utterly delicious pilsner were menu highlights. There was also a porter and a stout, which we didn't try but heard good things about. Our bartender was great and she helped us immensely with recommendations and info. It was a catchy place somehow. Finally got around to stopping in and I'm glad I did! I enjoyed both the Coffee Porter and Coconut Stout, and while I liked the Luju Orange Julius "seltzer," it's not a typical seltzer - it's more like a fruit beer or even a mimosa. The place is small and easy to miss when you're cruising along 13th Street but you'll be happy once you're sipping on one of their delicious beers. It's heavy on the IPA's and Sours/Fruit beers but each one I've had is nothing short of amazing. I recommend the Luju but quite honestly, you can't go wrong here. Last week I went to a Yelp event here and it was wonderful! I've know the Yelp manager for awhile now, but since recently having a baby I haven't made it out to too many things! I wanted to show support for my friend, so I went! Turned out I had an amazing time meeting several never people because of Yelp Omaha, has so yummy food and the event, but even better beer! I tried a sour beer but my favorite was the coffee beer. I am a coffee and craft beer lover, so with the recommendation of the bar tender, I tried their coffee beer. I was worried it was going to be a bit heavy, but it wasn't at all! It had me craving more but I had to get home to my baby. This is definitely going to be a spot where my husband and I hit up for a date night! A few of the other people I met at the event loved their orange sour beer that they said tasted like a mimosa! So I am for sure going to need to try that one next. The space inside was very relaxed and spacious. You have plenty of room for larger parties, date nights or just if you wanted to grab a drink on your own. The seating is community style, so go and have fun and meet some new people!
