Friendly staff. Restaurant is clean and presentable. Enjoyed a flight of Firehouse Red Vienna Lager, Dundee Scotch Ale, Uptoberfest, Brewing Crooner and Cask Conditioned Flaship IPA (pictured). All options were very good. They have a beer for most everyone. Sadly they lack options for Stout and Porter lovers currently but may be due to seasonal selections. I would gladly return for more beer and food options.

Cheers! And it's pizza night!

Pro-tip: go on Wednesday for $7 pizzas. BEST. DEAL. EVER! We came back to the Old Market for the 2nd day in a row to continue to check it out. We happened to need a cold refreshment and came in to Upstream. We found out it was $7 pizza night on Wednesdays and we settled in for a pizza attack. We started with the Italiano. It was DIVINE! The fennel sausage really was tasty, but I think my favorite part was the banana peppers. The whole flavor combo, with the balsamic, ohmygawd, soooo good. We almost ordered another one, but had to try another selection. The special of the day was a margherita type pizza, with fresh mozzarella. The pizza came out hot, and the melted creamy mozzarella was heavenly. Truly! A must try!

Nice big bar with many housemade and local brews. Had a refreshing beer and friend had a cider and played some card games. Bartender was attentive and on top of the full bar.

We wanted to watch some baseball during the College World Series and found Upstream on Yelp. It's a two level sports be with tv's located in the Old Market District. They have a wide variety of beers on tap, good service, lots of seating and decent food. We sat at the bar so have a clear view of the game. I ordered the salmon Caesar and it was flavorful! I gobbled it down pretty fast. We didn't get any eye rolls while we watched for 2 hours but we kept the drinks coming and ordered dessert as well. Filled up pretty quickly as the day progressed.

I always hesitate to leave a negative review, but I have been here about five times in as many years, and have never enjoyed the food here. I've gotten a different item each time, pizza, salad, entrée, etc. and it just never hits right. This time, I got the Romain Caesar steak salad, the salad itself was good, but the tomatoes were huge, and the steak was incredibly tough to cut let alone chew. It was not served with a steak knife, and I asked for one (and got it quickly), but it hardly made the task any easier. We also got the shrimp appetizer dish which sounded more like a scampi on the menu. the sauce did taste good, but was very oily and it separated during the time we ate it. The focaccia bread was very disappointing. :( I love this type of bread, but this one was very dense and lacked flavor. I do want to be clear that I have heard others having great experiences here food-wise which normally include getting the fish and chips. One person at our table got this and loved it--this was the only glowing review I heard at our 18 person party, so if you're coming in for any reason, please get the fish and chips! Our table of 18 did have great service, and a good spot to sit for a large party. I have never had any issue with service or ambiance here, it is only the food that is lacking.

I have been going to Upstream for years and have had such a range of experiences related to service, food quality, and menu selections. I was just at this restaurant last week for a quick dinner on a Sunday evening. There was plenty of seating and were seated immediately. The staff member that seated us was not very friendly, but the staff that waited on us was very warm and friendly. The menu has really shrunk in size over the past few years, when I looked at the menu this last time I was really bummmed that their classic Rueben that I have ordered for years was no longer on their menu. We ordered the smoked gouda soup and fish and chips for our table. The soup was the best item that we ordered for sure. The food was served in a timely fashion and portions were generous. I have always loved the ambiance at this restaurant, it's a renovated fire station with lots of space.

ITALIANO PIZZA

Solid brewpub in downtown Omaha! Great selection of home crafted beers and variety of food. I enjoyed the Italiano thin crust pizza! Great mix of toppings bringing in all the flavors! Only note was the crust did get a little soggy/weak towards the middle of the pizza. The King Koopa stout was a great traditional milk nitro stout. Rustic, traditional pub atmosphere with lots of dining space. Great friendly service. Think the server for our group was named Rich.

Lunch here was very disappointing. When we sat down we were not acknowledged for 10 mins. We ordered drinks and food at the same time and I think our waiter forgot about our drinks because they didn't come out until our food did. So we waited about 15 mins just to get a Diet Coke. If our waiter was busier I would have understood this wait but there were only two other parties he was serving. The salad itself was subpar, chicken was not seasoned and overcooked. Small portion of berries and goat cheese. Way too sweet dressing. Would not recommend

Enjoyed the atmosphere, quick service and great menu selection. Decided to split everything and glad we did. Best side Caesar salad - creamy delicious dressing. The 12 oz perfectly cooked filet with green beans and mashed potatoes. All perfectly prepared and the sauces were delicious. Ended with the s'mores cheesecake and could not be more happier with our choice.

Hummus Platter

Based on previous reviews, I was not expecting to enjoy this place as much as I did. We sat upstairs and the bartender was super helpful, recommending beers and giving us tastes. The Beer: I had pale ale and it was delicious, very hop forward, but also refreshing. Then I had the bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout. So good! However, it was a 12 ounce pour and that was too much for me at a high ABV. My husband had the IPA, which he liked, but I wasn't a fan. Then he had Tequila Berliner. He liked that too. It's a little sour for me, kind of tasted like lemonade with tequila. The Food: we only ordered an appetizer- the humus. It was so good! It came with 3 kinds, red pepper, traditional and pesto. Kalamata olives, flat bread and greens with feta cheese. It just all went so well together. Highly recommend!

PORK SCHNITZEL POT ROAST

Great food, I had the schnitzel and my wife had the pot roast. Large portions. The cast conditioned ale was awesome. Highly recommend eating here. Service was superb.

Lemon tart. The crust was too lard-y for me.

There aren't very restaurants that you can get a reservation for 7 people in such short notice other than Upsteam brewery. My boyfriend and I opted to share the Blonde pizza and treat ourselves to a dessert since neither of us were very hungry. The pizza, though relatively small and thin, was tasty. I couldn't resist sampling a variety of fries from others at the table, including the sweet potato waffle fries and classic french fries. Both were a hit, maintaining their deliciousness even after cooling down. For dessert, I chose the lemon tart, featuring an almond crust, luscious lemon curd, whipped cream, and fresh berries. While the lemon curd was delightful, the almond crust, unfortunately, fell short with an excessive lard presence, giving it an unexpected hint of duck flavor.

The inside is very clean and simple - a nice, bright place to have a few drinks and chat with friends. The patio is great too when it's nice outside. All their brews are fabulous in my experience. My favorites are Great Plains Lager and the Cairns Pilsner (I am a fan of lighter beers if you couldn't tell). They have lots of different beer styles from Kölsches to Dunkels, and IPAs to Ales. So you'll definitely find something you like. They sell Kringles flavored pretzels for snacking on, or at least they did when I went last. Love those! Aside from that, they have food trucks that post up there as well, so definitely check their schedule to see who will be there when you want to go. For a local brewery, they have a pretty solid lineup of different brews, so I'd definitely check them out if you're in the Millard area!

There were only one or two servers working, so we were ready to be patient and expect a wait, but they were so quick! I was impressed with their service. I also loved that you can try smaller tasters of their beers before committing to a full one. I had a taster of their raspberry hibiscus saison and a refreshing lager. The standalone location in Legacy had a cool vibe with great staff who were eager to assist you in any way they can (filling waters, asking if you need more drinks, anything taken away, etc). The Westroads/Flagship Commons spot had none of that charm and service. It is very much a food court vibe for the exact same price that you'd pay at the actual restaurant. When we visited during holiday shopping recently, there was maybe one table seated in their little dining area. We thought we'd save everyone a trip and order at the front, which it appeared you could do. We asked two girls behind the counter if we could just choose a table in their (basically completely empty) seating area to wait for our food. And they said that you're not allowed to sit in this area (even if it's completely empty) if you didn't sit down in that area to have a server take your order. I've never hear of such an asinine policy in my life. I'm paying the same amount (and tipping the same), but I'm not allowed to sit in your dining area because I saved someone a trip and order myself at the front counter? What in the absolute world?? So we took our food and ate it in the communal area of Flagship Commons, which I'm not above doing or anything - I was just very annoyed by the Blatt seating policy (if you couldn't tell yet!) The food was also not on par here than with their brick and mortar locations. Maybe because they don't have as large of a kitchen to make everything from scratch or something, but again - paying the same as at the physical location in Legacy for lesser quality food. Is there a convenience of having this version of Blatt right in the little food court at the mall? I guess, but it's not worth it to me after this experience.

I'd give the food a solid 3 - not amazing, not terrible just ok. I'd give the vibe and atmosphere a 5 and this is why you go to Blatt's! If you're at the CWS, Blatt is a must! We were being driven to the Orleans Room for their Reuben, which was excellent by the way. I can't say the same for the Crescent Moon sandwich. Crescent Moon is actually just kitty corner of the Orleans Room, so the walk was short. It is basically a dive which is fine, we expected that by the Uber driver's comments. The Deep Fried Pickles were excellent. The three ciders that our daughter sampled were not pleasing to her, so she had a cocktail. I had a Sierra Nevada Pilsner, which was fine. But the Reubens, and why we came, were awful. Our daughter, said it best when the sandwich had a mayonnaise texture. I realized the 1000 dressing that was served on the Reuben was too heavy of mayo. The presentation was also terrible. Open them up so we can see the inside of the sandwich, and both slices of the bread were broken...as you can see on the pics.
