The Thai Lavash had a great balance of flavors with the peanut sauce, fresh toppings, and crispy lavash, and the potstickers were perfectly pan-seared and packed with flavor. The atmosphere is cozy and classic Old Market in DT Omaha, and the service was friendly and attentive. It's one of those places that consistently delivers great food and a great experience every time. My son and I went after a long day of work. I was in town visiting, and we decided upon M's after a recommendation from his boss. A pleasant atmosphere with a mix of upscale and casual, we were definitely on the casual side of the ledger. I ordered the Pasta with chicken, and he had the chicken breast with steamed veges, both from the lighter menu. I had a local brew, a brown ale (sorry, I forgot the brewery), which was among the better brown ales that I have had. Were it not too late, I would have ordered another. For dessert, I ordered the whipped tiramisu, which was divine. Overall, the food was excellent, not simply mass-produced chicken, but properly cooked and seasoned, and the pasta was excellent. My son was as complimentary of his meal. The service was excellent and it was a wonderful place to unwind after a long day. An excellent choice for food, spirits, dessert, and atmosphere. read more

M's Pub is hands-down one of my favorite spots in Omaha when I want a place that feels effortlessly cool without trying too hard. It's the perfect mix of laid-back neighborhood vibe and "actually really nice" food and drinks--I can show up in jeans or dress it up a little and never feel out of place. I'm an absolute creature of habit here, and 9 times out of 10 my order is exactly the same: start with the escargot (served in that sizzling garlic-parsley butter that makes you want to mop up every last drop with their crusty bread) and then the lamb burger. That burger is legitimately one of the best in the city--perfectly cooked, juicy, great seasoning, and the toppings/feta situation just works. I've brought friends who "don't usually like lamb" and they end up obsessed. Cocktail-wise, their bar program is no joke. The Espresso Martini is dangerously smooth (like dessert you're allowed to have before dinner), the Fat Manhattan with that maple bacon garnish is pure genius, and you honestly can't go wrong with their classic Old Fashioned--strong, balanced, no corners cut. Service is always friendly and quick without hovering, the patio is great when the weather cooperates, and the whole place just has this warm, unpretentious energy that keeps me coming back way more often than my wallet probably appreciates. If you're looking for a spot in Omaha that nails elevated pub food and killer cocktails without any of the fuss, put M's at the top of your list. Fitting in with the lovely old market esthetic, this cute pub had a nice interior with a gorgeous and giant bar as soon as you walk in. Plus a nice little patio out front! Overall the food was good, but entrees didn't stand out as amazing. We enjoyed a basic burger, the hot dog, and chicken salad sandwich on a yummy croissant along our group. We agreed that the surprising highlight was the house salad dressing that came as the side salad to our entrees. It was SO good. We were dipping everything we could into it! M's pub is somewhat of an institution in the Old Market area in Omaha. The menu has a decent variety of choices from a carrot dog, to lamb salad to pot roast. The atmosphere is decent and prices are good as is the service and staff. The food, that I ordered was sub par. I was torn between a few menu choices and asked the bartender for guidance. They highly recommended the lavosh which is a cracker thin flatbread. I ordered the soup of the day which sounded amazing (Dill crab havarti soup) and the Omaha lavosh. The soup was oily and had no flavor, nor any trace of crab. The lavosh was dry and not tasty. On a high note the filthy blue martini was fabulous with a dash of olive brine, olive oil, and pickle juice. The draft beer featured a local brewery (Kros Strain). The beer was so good I made my next stop the brewery and it was amazing. Overall, if I were to return to M's it would be for cocktails and/or beer but not the food unfortunately. read more

Visited during a trip to Omaha. The restaurant was a lot nicer than I imagined from the name and the few photos I saw online. We ordered from the specials - Maine-style lobster roll and steak frites. Came with baby potatoes, cabbage, picked onion, and corned beef. Very flavorful and tender meat. Really loved the quality and flavor of the potatoes- perfectly done. Cabbage came as two-three connected leaves of head of whole cabbage. I would recommend other methods of sending out cabbage and may have needed to be cooked more- was hard to cut. Stumbled into this gem on a whim after checking into the Moxy during my road trip--and I'm so glad I did. Bella was my bartender and she was an absolute rockstar: warm, gorgeous, and genuinely attentive. I ordered an alcoholic Shirley Temple (yes, they exist--and yes, it slapped) along with the carrot burger, which blew my mind. As a former vegan, I wasn't expecting much, but this thing was chef's kiss. The menu is wild--in the best way. Tons of variety, but nothing feels like filler. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked like someone actually gave a damn. Cocktails? Stellar. Staff? Top-tier. Even the manager came over to say hi, and he was a total delight. We were a loud crowd. The tables are closer together. And there's little sound mitigation. So we were constantly earning scowls from the sweet, elderly couple next to us -- so much so that we ended up deciding to pick up their tab, for which they were very grateful. But I must say, we certainly had a great time here! Appetizers include a number of lavash breads loaded with goodies (called lahmacun in other places). l love these! I would have tried their original, but my mates went with the Thai version and the Fig/Prosciutto lavash. Both were excellent choices - crispy and delicious, and very filling for an appetizer. I had the Indian Lamb Satay. See photo. It was very good. I asked for medium and I got a perfect medium. And I loved every bite. This is not a complaint, but honestly, they could just gave just as easily called it a Greek Lamb Souvlaki Kebab and I'd have been none the wiser. So, I'm not saying it was uniquely Indian. It wasn't. But that it was delicious. It was served with basmati rice, perfectly steamed vegetables, and a yogurt dipping sauce that was either a Greek yogurt avgolemono sauce or a lemony Indian yogurt sauce. But either way, it was tasty. Our waitress was Katherine and she was top notch. Absolutely amazing. We were well cared for! Thank you, Katherine! The bartender was great, too, serving the most wonderful martinis, including a variety of traditional martinis, awesome espresso martinis, and, as novelty as it sounds, a very good pumpkin martini. 8/15/26 was busy Saturday evening at M's. They only had an outside seating available and my spouse had a service dog. We sat outside the patio, had two small tables pushed together. I ordered on the special menu, Korean BBQ tacos. It came with 3 pork Korean flavored tacos with pickled vegetables, and 2 corn cobs. The tacos were delicious. Good umami flavor and mild spiciness. The 2 corn cob were definitely not fresh corn (frozen corn cobs). The frozen corn cobs was disappointing and gross. The corn was chewy, sticky, and stuck to my teeth (I don't like frozen corn cobs). Since we are in Nebraska, I assumed fresh corn would be available. (To the chef/owner of M's, I highly recommend you change the side dish to fresh corn cob). Overall I would order the tacos again only if they would let me change the side to something else. (No frozen corn cob please) My spouse order the veggie Lahvosh. She was very happy with her food and there was no complaints. She would order it again. I would give M's 3.5 stars but Yelp doesn't let you select it. The music and chatter of the patrons made the pub a bit loud as well. I tried the falafel. The falafel was paired with a simple salad with a ramekin of a decent raspberry vinaigrette. The mint yogurt sauce was solid and the falafel had a good flavor. The pita was worse than many I have had with a cloying texture and flavor. I went here as there were a ton of people at the outside seating. Only after sitting did i look at the yelp pictures. There were accurate- small portions- and on the menu, big prices. Came to eat with coworkers on a work trip. The price is reflected in a scale restaurant, but the service and the food was not at par at all. The artichoke I got was overcooked and dry and when I told the waitress about it, she ignored it and just took my plate and did not offer to replace it or not charged for it. A coworker of mine wanted to order a side of fries and the waitress that we had said that they don't serve that on the side and it only comes with the steak and frites. Which I found extremely weird because "what restaurant does not offer a side of fries??" I've been frequenting M's Pub for years and was so sad when they had the gas leak/fire a few years back. I was so happy to return and see that everything was still just as good as the old days! I always get the lavosh (the Thai is my favorite, so good!), and my husband always gets the reuben sandwich. He is a reuben fanatic and says their's is one of the best in town. Their soups are all amazing, and change often (soup of the day situation), so if you see one you're interested in, definitely get it - because it may not be back for a while. My favorite dessert is the tiramisu. It's a "whipped" tiramisu (almost like a pudding/ice cream) and has little pirouettes and espresso beans on top. So decadent and yummy. I would recommend this to anyone, even if you're not a coffee fan! The staff is always great, the ambiance is cool, simple, and upscale, and the food is to die for. The ambiance here is obviously great & what makes it such an iconic Omaha establishment. However, I hadn't actually eaten food here in a long time & was pretty disappointed. We started with a thai lavosh (chicken, tomato, scallions, basil, cilantro, thai pepper sauce) for the table which was quite good, I liked the flavor & textures a lot. For my entree I ordered the thai pork satay which was... kind of a mistake I guess. Everything was well cooked, but it was so bland, like it tasted barely seasoned if at all. The sauce helped a little but it barely came with any & I ended up having to ask for more to make it more tolerable to eat. Also, the dish was about 90% carrots. A ton of plain steamed carrot slices with 3 pieces of cauliflower & one lonely broccoli. I have nothing against carrots, just wasn't expecting them to be my entire dinner. The experience of being there was pleasant, it has a great atmosphere & a lively energy. The service was fast & friendly.
