Great ambience. Lively. Love the window seats. Excellent service. I give the food a 3, but the great staff and ambience made up for the food. It's a "Pub". What do u expect with the food!

Burger with bacon plus side salad with the best dressing

Fitting in with the lovely old market esthetic, this cute pub had a nice interior with a gorgeous and giant bar as soon as you walk in. Plus a nice little patio out front! Overall the food was good, but entrees didn't stand out as amazing. We enjoyed a basic burger, the hot dog, and chicken salad sandwich on a yummy croissant along our group. We agreed that the surprising highlight was the house salad dressing that came as the side salad to our entrees. It was SO good. We were dipping everything we could into it! Overall a nice stop if you're in old market for lunch, I bet it would be great for a happy hour drink too.

Pimms and a lavash!

Perfect spot for a post concert snack and cocktail. It's one of the few Omaha staples that is open late on a Sunday night and I LOVE that! Tasty cocktails and you have to get the lavash!! Great service and friendly locals chat you up at the bar. It's a great place and always trendy people watching.

My daughter and I stopped for a late dinner after a show. She had the hot dog and Caesar salad. I had the pub burger. The burger and hot dog were delicious. Both were well cooked and the presentation of the plates was great. My only complaint were the options for sides. I can't eat lettuce and salad or soup were the only options. I chose the red pepper soup and it wasn't very good. The restaurant was decorated for Christmas and it was beautiful. I loved all of the lights! The service was prompt and efficient. Overall, a satisfying experience.

M's pub is somewhat of an institution in the Old Market area in Omaha. The menu has a decent variety of choices from a carrot dog, to lamb salad to pot roast. The atmosphere is decent and prices are good as is the service and staff. The food, that I ordered was sub par. I was torn between a few menu choices and asked the bartender for guidance. They highly recommended the lavosh which is a cracker thin flatbread. I ordered the soup of the day which sounded amazing (Dill crab havarti soup) and the Omaha lavosh. The soup was oily and had no flavor, nor any trace of crab. The lavosh was dry and not tasty. On a high note the filthy blue martini was fabulous with a dash of olive brine, olive oil, and pickle juice. The draft beer featured a local brewery (Kros Strain). The beer was so good I made my next stop the brewery and it was amazing. Overall, if I were to return to M's it would be for cocktails and/or beer but not the food unfortunately.

Lobster roll

Visited during a trip to Omaha. The restaurant was a lot nicer than I imagined from the name and the few photos I saw online. We ordered from the specials - Maine-style lobster roll and steak frites. Both very delicious! I added onion rings, and they were one of the best onion rings I've ever had. They had a really good seasoning on them. The sour cream pound cake was meh. I wasn't a fan of the dark rum glaze, and it was soaked in it. Service was a bit slow, but it was super busy. Overall, a good dining experience.

Service was great and price was fair. My co-workers ordered the pot roast and raved about the size and taste. I have no complaints about the sandwich and appreciated being offered a dinner roll with butter as well. Only gripe was the side selection. Im ok with not having chips or fries as the standard side but the salad was underwhelming. A few lettuce leaves. I'd also skip the carrot cake next time. It was decent but didn't warrant the cost.

Went here for a work dinner and the ambience was fun and busy even on a weeknight. It has a nice location in the old market. They have a nice selection of drinks and appetizers. We tried the wine plate and a Thai flatbread. The fresh bread was warm. For mains, I had a surf and turf which was ok. The texture of the shrimp seemed a bit off. Some of my friends got the pumpkin orzotto which looked seasonal and festive. I did notice the salmon has a strong smell, which some may not like. Overall would come back for the vibes and appetizers.

Corned beef and cabbage

Bustling New American restaurant in the heart of Omaha's downtown. Contemporary casual atmosphere. Came here with a large group and reservation. They handled a group ~20 like pros! Meagan was main server. I ordered a seasonal special - corned beef and cabbage ($32). Very simple plate, slightly questionable presentation- but overall good. Came with baby potatoes, cabbage, picked onion, and corned beef. Very flavorful and tender meat. Really loved the quality and flavor of the potatoes- perfectly done. Cabbage came as two-three connected leaves of head of whole cabbage. I would recommend other methods of sending out cabbage and may have needed to be cooked more- was hard to cut. I have ate here on a prior visit. Tried the surf and turf satay. Overall good but meat was slightly dry and portion was small for price.

Beautiful restaurant inside and out. Wait staff are very nice and helpful to answer any of your questions. I ordered Floyd's skinny plate with grilled salmon that came with steamed vegetables & small side salad. That was really good with great flavor. My uncle ordered the broiled beef tips and mushrooms with garlic butter and Havarti cheese. He really enjoyed that but said he would go all beef tips next time.

We were a loud crowd. The tables are closer together. And there's little sound mitigation. So we were constantly earning scowls from the sweet, elderly couple next to us -- so much so that we ended up deciding to pick up their tab, for which they were very grateful. But I must say, we certainly had a great time here! Appetizers include a number of lavash breads loaded with goodies (called lahmacun in other places). l love these! I would have tried their original, but my mates went with the Thai version and the Fig/Prosciutto lavash. Both were excellent choices - crispy and delicious, and very filling for an appetizer. I had the Indian Lamb Satay. See photo. It was very good. I asked for medium and I got a perfect medium. And I loved every bite. This is not a complaint, but honestly, they could just gave just as easily called it a Greek Lamb Souvlaki Kebab and I'd have been none the wiser. So, I'm not saying it was uniquely Indian. It wasn't. But that it was delicious. It was served with basmati rice, perfectly steamed vegetables, and a yogurt dipping sauce that was either a Greek yogurt avgolemono sauce or a lemony Indian yogurt sauce. But either way, it was tasty. Our waitress was Katherine and she was top notch. Absolutely amazing. We were well cared for! Thank you, Katherine! The bartender was great, too, serving the most wonderful martinis, including a variety of traditional martinis, awesome espresso martinis, and, as novelty as it sounds, a very good pumpkin martini. All in all, we were delighted with our experience here and will be happy to repeat our experience again soon! I would take my team here again in a heartbeat! Good times!!

Veggie Lahvosh

8/15/26 was busy Saturday evening at M's. They only had an outside seating available and my spouse had a service dog. We sat outside the patio, had two small tables pushed together. The gated patio area had beatiful flowers. It was very hot outside but we glad it was shaded and had nice breeze. I would recommend some water mister outside. Our lovely waitress Lily was very attentive and honest. We asked for recommendations and she gave us her best recommendations. We appreciate honest opinions! I ordered on the special menu, Korean BBQ tacos. It came with 3 pork Korean flavored tacos with pickled vegetables, and 2 corn cobs. The tacos were delicious. Good umami flavor and mild spiciness. The 2 corn cob were definitely not fresh corn (frozen corn cobs). The frozen corn cobs was disappointing and gross. The corn was chewy, sticky, and stuck to my teeth (I don't like frozen corn cobs). Since we are in Nebraska, I assumed fresh corn would be available. (To the chef/owner of M's, I highly recommend you change the side dish to fresh corn cob). Overall I would order the tacos again only if they would let me change the side to something else. (No frozen corn cob please) My spouse order the veggie Lahvosh. She was very happy with her food and there was no complaints. She would order it again. I would give M's 3.5 stars but Yelp doesn't let you select it. If the side dish was good, it would definitely give 4 stars.

I think every time I visit it just gets better and better. The pot roast is amazzzzing!! We always have wonderful service and honestly it is a great restaurant for mid-sized groups. They're so accommodating! We sat on the patio with a group of 6 last time and never felt ignored/forgotten about. Highly recommend M's Pub!!!

Good place to meet people?

No. Mostly couples on dates here.

Do we need a reservation?

You will want one for Fridays and weekends for sure. They are not required and you may get in once in a while without a wait. During the spring/summer you will need one for sure. Winter season though it does slow down.

We had potato skins with cheddar and bacon as an appetizer. It was tasty but not wonderful. Bookguy had fish and chips. The fish was great, very crispy and light. It was a big portion so leftovers provided dinner later. The fries were a generous size and good too. I had a patty melt on rye with a salad. The salad was pretty standard and I really liked the patty melt-- big enough to take half home and not greasy. It was rather noisy while we were there and they probably could have used another server. We enjoyed our lunch and plan to come back again.

I went with the fish and chips and was blown away by this portion size and flavor! Two HUGE cod filets accompanied by a side of fries, but I went with the onion rings as I heard they were delicious. The cod has a thick, crunchy breading around it, making it very very filling. The onion rings were very unique. Not a long onion deep fried, but small onion pieces within the breading. I've never had something like that before, but they were golden brown and amazingly crunchy. Make sure you get extra tartar sauce for this dish because you're going to need it! Service was quick and easy for a take out order. I would come back for another meal to try their other menu options and drinks. Thanks for a great first impression!
