Blatt Beer & Table (mall location) was a surprisingly solid choice for a casual meal this time around. My first experience here wasn't great, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm happy to say this visit was a change of pace in the best way. We opted to sit at the bar, and the bartender was both pleasant and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made the experience enjoyable. Using a gift card, we each ordered a burger, and they did not disappoint. The fries were cooked to perfection--crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside--just how they should be. The burgers were decent, with good flavor and fresh ingredients, making for a satisfying meal overall. This spot seems like a great option for a quick bite or a laid-back hangout, especially if you're already at the mall and need a break. While it didn't blow me away, it's a reliable place with good vibes, and I'd definitely return to explore more of the menu or try one of their beers next time! This addition gives context to your positive experience, making the review more dynamic and reflective.

Came here for the first time while going to Westroad's Mall. I got the chicken strips with parmesan truffle fries which were SO GOOD! The chicken strips are seasoned great and super crispy. While the parmesan truffle fries had a good balance of seasoning and are very tasty. My boyfriend loved the buffalo chicken on his mac, but wasn't the biggest fan of the bleu cheese (I think he isn't a bleu cheese fan in general and hasn't had it much). We had a really nice waitress who recommended the parmesan truffle fries over the regular fries to me. It was a great suggestion! It was a bit noisy as seating is open to the rest of the mall dining, but overall I am impressed. I would definitely come back for the chicken strips and parmesan truffle fries!

My family went here for the first time before a musical and it was already packed with reservations. Thankfully we had made one in advance, but something to keep in mind for the future. The overall restaurant is very open, and definitely a sports bar/restaurant sort of feel. I tried the apple pie cider which was good. It was not as sweet as I was expecting with forward notes of cinnamon, but still tasty. We shared the Reuben fries, which were also delicious. The only unfortunate side was when it came to the backyard burger I ordered. I asked for a gluten free bun (as I can't have gluten) and was given a normal burger. I had a bite, but quickly caught it. The staff were extremely apologetic and made me a new dish right away. Because the way they handled it was more than I could ask for, I am not taking away any stars. Once I was given the gluten free version of the meal, it was fantastic and exactly what I wanted from the burger. The dill potato salad was also refreshing. I did unfortunately get sick later, but because of the professionalism and the way they handled the mistake I will be back to try something else and hopefully have a better experience. Overall recommend, just be careful if you are a gluten free patron (the gluten free bun is not shown in the picture).

Omg. This was such an unexpected dinner in Omaha. I went with my friend Nikki and this place blew me out of the water. We got pretzel bites which came with mustard and beer cheese. The main course was the Dirty Bird. This came with chicken, applewood-smoked bacon, brioche bun, Boston lettuce, tomato, red onion, coleslaw, sriracha buffalo, blue cheese sauce. The chicken was juicy, tender, perfectly spiced and a sandwich I'd smash all over again!

I really love this location. I've been several times, usually later at night with my friend after getting our nails done in the mall. When you go restaurants close to closing time, you're more than likely get the eye roll along with the hurry up and go treatment. But not at Blatt Beer. In the many times we've been here, we've received nothing short of friendly service, good food and an overall pleasant experience. My favorite menu item is probably one of the most simple on the menu: the simple salad. But the trick is to add the Dixie fried chicken. I'm not sure what they do to the chicken, but it's absolutely phenomenal. Very light, yet crispy and with great flavor. I've also tried the fried chicken sandwich and it was equally as delightful along with the potato salad side. What I'm most impressed with though is the selection of ranch dressing. There are so many flavors that I can't remember them all but I'm most fond of the dill ranch. I've yet to venture into much else beyond my chicken but my vegetarian friend does tell me that they make a mean currywurst. Overall, a great reason for me to want to venture to the mall. I can't wait until the weather warms as their patio looks quite inviting. As a tip, if you are planning on stopping here after shopping towards closing, make sure you park outside Flagship Commons. This is the only door that is operable after the main mall closes at 9pm. Otherwise, you'll have to walk around the mall at night to get back to your parking spot. Trust me, this is spoken from experience.

Blatt makes an honest effort for five stars and I'd definitely come back, but not for the burger. The pretzel bites were near perfect. Salted, textured, delicous by themselves and then amped up by the Rosemary mustard and gruyere cheese sauce. Expections were high and the Blatt Burger fell short. The meat wasn't salted well, the burger was a bit sloppy, and the grilled onions lacked flavor. Fries are hand cut, but soggy and not seasoned with enough truflle. The most bizarre thing was the beer selection. What restaurant has "beer" in its name and has less than a dozen beers on tap. A single local beer is sad, plus why waste a tap on Bud Light? I'll report back on my next trip. I've seen a bunch of people order fried chicken strips...

Great service, prices were good for being in Omaha. Food was okay. If your wife and kid are shopping you can stop and have a 16oz tall boy for $4. You really can't beat that. Shop till you drop lady's

Buffalo Blue Mac: macaroni & cheese, chicken strips, buffalo sauce, and blue cheese crumbles

This was my second visit to this local franchise, albeit my first visit to this specific location. This one is located within the Westroads Mall and has an entrance and plentiful parking located nearby. Due to its placement within a mall, the space is a bit tight, but they make it work and the staff were incredibly friendly and provided wonderful service. I was in town for a work conference and received a recommendation for local dining options from a colleague. I was not disappointed during either of my visits. I ordered the same entree both times - the macaroni & cheese with buffalo chicken tenders and blue cheese. It. Is. So. Amazing. The dish was cooked to perfection, with the cheese melting in my mouth and the chicken tenders having enough of a kick while also being crispy and plump. The dish is incredibly filling. There are other options to mix in with the macaroni & cheese, but I found the buffalo chicken tenders the most appealing. Highly, highly recommend. This location also has a bar with a bartender making and serving drinks. My friend and I both ordered ciders, which were fairly priced at $5 and were promptly served. Blatt is a wonderful restaurant and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for an exceptional sit-down dining experience!

DP ordered Lemon Berry Pancakes, a plate-filing short stack of goodness. I'd like to say it tasted as good as it looked, but I couldn't tell as DP chowed down like a hound from hell. In a good way, of course. She did allow me to share her Maple Braised Bacon (meaning that I was able to snatch a piece while she wasn't looking). Really, really fine, something I'd definitely order again. For me. Not to share. I had the Schnitzel Bennie with tart cherry jam and lemon hollandaise. Sound unusual? Tasted great! My only gripe was that the pork cutlet was a bit small and could have used a bit more seasoning in the breading. Would I order it again? You betcha! Service was fast and efficient. The decor was quirky and inviting but the space was loud enough that it was really hard to carry a conversation. Overall rating: yahoo!

We said first available seats, which ended up being at the end of the bar. More about that later... I ordered the vegan standard and hubs ordered the banana bread French toast. The server was friendly and the food came out in a timely manner, considering the place was packed. Regarding the vegan standard, it seems they have cut back on the amount of tofu scramble and increased the amount of hashbrowns, which was a little bit disappointing. As usual it was very tasty though! I tried a bite of the hubs French toast and it was VERY unique and tasty! II will be getting that next time. I was disappointed to hear that they haven't brought back the vegan biscuits and gravy, but maybe once again they will! So the food was great but our experience, not so much, based on where we were sitting. I feel like they should not even use the last spot at the bar to seat a patron. Right next to where I was sitting is the place they bring the clean silverware to dry it off, then they would toss it into the silverware holder. The noise was very annoying and they did nothing to try to even be quiet about it. The other thing about that location is the register is pretty much right in your face, like 15 inches directly in front of me and someone was pretty much there the whole time. Other areas of the bar wouldn't be quite so bad, but next time we will wait longer to get a table or sit at the bar top that looks outside instead of at all the workers doing their thing and talking to each other. Other than the location of where we sat this visit, this is still one of our top spots for a yummy vegan breakfast, and we will be back!

My husband is a much harsher critic than I am, and he gave it a "rare 5.5 out of 5." The pancakes were some of the fluffiest I've ever had. The flavor was good but it did have a slight burnt taste. A quick note: you order at the counter before sitting down. It's a mix of self-serve and sit-down service. You order at the counter, grab your own silverware, and seat yourself, but they bring your food and drinks out to you (other than water). I do wish they were a bit more attentive about clearing finished plates during the meal. The restaurant was so busy that the line was out the door when we arrived, but it moved surprisingly fast. For a cup of tea and a latte that appeared to come out of a Kureg machine. I could tell because the tea came premade. Not hot water and a teabag, a half filled mug, no spoon, tasted bitter like it was run through a Kureg after a cup of coffee without rinsing the machine out. There is a sign in the dining room, "From our kitchen Homemade to your Table". Which was funny because I don't consider Cysco Homemade. The hashbrowns tasted like dehydrated boxed hashbrowns that were rehydrated and put on a flat top. They were overcooked, hard crunchy, not in a good way. I had the Chicken fried steak, gravy, and scrambled eggs. It had no seasoning to speak of. I asked for a biscuit and a cup of gravy added. The biscuit appeared to be a food service biscuit, not made there. Okay, but. I had an orange juice. Tasted like it was out of a bottle. My wife had the Acapulco Bene, the poached eggs were good, the Chirizo sausage looked like the patties out of an MRE, not fresh, or anything special, the english muffin it was all on was out of a bag. Again nothing special. She also had an order of pancakes. Again, nothing special, they were fluffy, and large, but just okay. The ticket was $71 for two, with some extras, $85 with tip. If you like food that is nothing super special for a moderately overpriced tab, go here. There many other good breakfast places in town. Not recommended, but I left with a full tummy, and i did not die. So win, but not won't be going back.

Ok the other hand, the service is rather iffy & unpredictable. The chicken & waffles is my go-to for each visit, and they have many types of delicious sides to choose from, with my favorites being the biscuits & berries, goat cheese grits, and also the fried green tomatoes. I have zero problems with the food that they serve here, they always do an excellent job at preparing whatever they need to prepare & the portions are always satisfactory. As for the service, there are days where you will receive perfect service while on others the service is not so great. Some days you will be attended to in a timely manner, while there is other days where there isn't anyone available or willing to seat you somewhere. I've also experienced instances where they didn't attend to our table to take orders until I made a complaint. Most of these instances were during days where the place was virtually empty so it's not because of the place being busy. I've also ordered take out from here before, again some instances are perfect and there's other instances where they don't tell you if a certain food is out of stock via text or call so if you ordered something that isn't in stock, you're forced to wait for them to prepare something else once you arrive to pick up your order. They also don't always include syrup or butter in the takeout bags for chicken & waffles. One minor thing I'm also disappointed about is how the portion of grits has lessened over time, going from being served in a bowl to instead being served in a small cup/mug. Overall, I certainly don't return for the service because you never really know if it's going to be a good day or a bad day for that. It's always the food that brings me back. I do want to like this place, and I do to an extent but again the service is always unpredictable. I'd still say the food is worth coming here to see how it goes.

May 25th, 2026 Food:…read moreWaited a whole hour for an easy order... which was a mini charcuterie board with a plate of avocado toast... when it was served... it looked pretty and at first I didnt mind about the long wait, but I was disappointed because it tasted like it was made an hour ago but was barely being served to me a whole hour later.. so yeah.. not worth it and now I do mind.. a soggy toast isn't on my list.. Ambiance: It was a nice regular refreshing bar/brunch spot. But safety was a HUGE issue which is where I'll get to my point of this low rating. Service: Is negative zero a thing? That goes to the owner... the 1 star is for the decent service my server attended towards me. In unfortunate events it's not the servers fault.. but overall with the owner coming out, couldnt be anymore careless.. The Cause: Either the owner or a staff employee whomever that is responsible for setting up the patio umbrellas, and I mean those large heavy metal patio umbrellas, well, they failed to lock the pole of the umbrella and unfortunately the umbrella lifted and blew away and had hit a family in the face that were dining there also; instant noticeable bruising to the face... I was only a table away from them.. it could have been me too. I am disappointed in the lack of care in general that surrounded the scene. Little 5 ft me... was the only one that came to help while everyone else sat around and minded their own business... it took a long while until one of the staff noticed to help and then the owner came out and awkwardly said a one word-sorry and dipped... didnt come back to offer any hospitality, non-genuine and non-apologetic... it made me lose my appetite. They had the audacity to still charge the family their meal... but I had to tell these really nice folks to make sure they get comped back. It was sickening to me on how careless they were treated. I would never come back! I mean an exaggerating long wait, cold soggy food and careless hospitality from the owner himself. That's three major strikes. P.s. That same wknd.. the news showed up about a South Carolina woman that was struck by a patio umbrella and died on site... that says alot about lacking safety. Yes, search it up. It's real news.. Hope this help improves the business alertness. P.p.s. And although I was disappointed at this dining-bar overall... I still tipped my server a good $20 as the situation was out of their control, my server was still attentive towards me. They all just need social common courtesy in empathy and hospitality. But anyways, my lunch ended with bittersweetness with the family that got struck, they comped my whole meal for genuinely being the only one that was concerned for them. The only service I'm grateful for was that.

Had a pretty fantastic experience here for Saturday brunch recently. They do require reservations…read morein advance, which puts a $40 hold on your card. They were fairly busy, and honestly our food took a bit to come out, but I am still giving a five due to the overall experience and quality of service. Our server Melannie was fantastic and always present. We did the bottomless mimosa deal (3 out of 4 of us) and she was always coming around asking us what flavor we wanted next when our current was still half full to make sure we got our moneys worth. The champagne might not be the fanciest, but for $20 bottomless mimosas I'll take it. They have fun flavors in addition to the basic ones like strawberry, mango, etc. which adds an element of fun. For food--there were several things I was eyeballing but landed on the spicy chorizo Benny. It was really good, eggs cooked perfect, and came with hashbrowns. Another at our table got the poutine which also looked yummy. I'd say the food portion could have included a bread/toast option, however If brunching in Omaha i'd return to try several things on the menu. The vibe inside is chill, would be more fun sitting outside once the weather warms up. Since I was the one that booked the reservation, the tab got a bit confusing. At first they were taking it off my total, then the server said that hold would come off so I paid for my meal/drinks there. I did end up getting double charged (for both the reservation hold and my meal) which was cleared up with a quick phone call to their establishment---apparently it is a new process they are trying. I do understand though why they wouldn't want to just deduct the hold as then people that don't know how to tip wouldn't tip on the total, which hurts the server. All was cleared up regarding this mishap though so no complaints.

My wife order the Early Bird; scrambled eggs, turkey links, wheat toast and country potatoes. With a side pancake as well. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandy with tots. We completed that with the Vanilla Lattni and the Biscoffee. Everything that we ordered was AMAZINGLY made to order. The pancake was a very decent size, warm and fluffy. The chicken sandy was crafted and cooked to perfection. Coated perfectly with the crisp, and juicy. The brioche bun compliments the patty very well. The food was very comforting. Emily was our server and she was awesome. Very knowledgeable and informative about the menu. Cindy was the bartender and did an awesome job as well with the drinks and customer service. Overall the place was 1000/10! Very great establishment, and as long as we're in Nebraska we will dine in.

I love coming to Early Bird, but this was my first time visiting this location…read more We were seated promptly after joining the waitlist. The restaurant has two separate dining rooms, as well as outdoor seating. I ordered my go-to dish, the Smoked Salmon Benedict. It was delicious and came with a side of hash browns. One of these days, I'll have to branch out and try something different from the menu. They also offer seasonal specialty drinks and menu items, which looked great. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, and the overall experience was good. We'll definitely be back!
