The size of the restaurant seems a little smaller than the L street location, too. That may be a psychosomatic thing when trying a different location of a place you know, but I definitely felt more cramped. The food is on par with the OG spot, so no complaints there. My usual is the bourbon glazed salmon with the cheesy broccoli on the side. So it was just as tasty as the other location, but I think I'll stick to the L street one mostly going forward.

I saw a female employee holding my ticket while the other tickets were up on the line. I brought this to my server's attention, and after my server went to inquire about my order, I observed three employees laughing among themselves. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable waiting for or eating the food. I did not make a scene, raise my voice, or argue with anyone. I simply asked the host for my check so that I could pay for my drink--which I left nearly full on the table--and leave. When a customer watches other guests who arrived after them receive their meals while their own order appears to be deliberately delayed, and then sees employees laughing after the issue is questioned, it creates a serious loss of trust. By that point, I was no longer comfortable accepting food from the kitchen because I could not feel confident about how my order would be handled. I am very disappointed that my experience reached that point. I came in simply wanting to have a meal after working an event. Instead, I left without eating and feeling as though I had been treated differently from the other customers around me. I hope management takes the time to review what happened, speak with the employees who were working, and determine why my order was handled this way. No customer should have to sit quietly watching everyone around them being served and wonder why they are being treated differently.

Where to start with this place. 1) They use cheater shot glasses. 2) The older gentleman behind the bar has the personality of a brillo pad. 3) The service can be hot or miss. But when they are busy out front and the bar is slow the two behind the bar never help. If you are the owner get out from behind the bar and get your people out of the weeds. Last time I was there I waited 10 minutes for someone to take my order and another 20minutes to get my drinks. 4) The music is always has commercials, very tacky. The music is also so random. Find an identity and stick with it. 5) Serve drinks the way people order them. If I ask for something to be shaken on ice, then just do it-I am the customer. This could go on and on. Say no to GE-NOOOOOOOOOOS West Omaha needs a good bar but unfortunately Genos is not it. Get a grip and fix you shot glasses. What a joke. read more

I am starting to go less and less and I may not go at all in the future given the inconsistency of the same order.
