My husband and I are doing the "ABCs" of Omaha restaurants we've never been to, and Geno's was our G! When we walked in, it was during a sports finals championship, so was pretty busy, but that didn't hurt the great service or food taste. The ambiance is kind of like a wedding hall, being just a big box of a room with lots of tables in it. Not anything super cool, but it works for grabbing a bite to eat and watch a game. We found a little spot that was open in the corner, and ordered a few apps: -Fried Pickles: These were so good, with a nice breading and delicious ranch for dipping. I am so tired of places saying "fried pickles" and they mean an entire dang pickle spear, making the breading not enough for all that pickle. So I'm so glad they told me on the menu that it's pickle CHIPS. -Mini Corn Dogs: I was so sad when Runza did away with their mini corn dogs, so when I saw these on the menu, it was a no brainer. They were just like my old favorites! -Reuben Bites: I'm not a huge fan of Reubens in general (hate sauerkraut), but my husband is the opposite, and he was blown away by these Reuben Bites! I had a bite and they weren't terrible, and this is coming from a Reuben hater. We ordered our entrees, but could barely eat any of them after those gigantic appetizers. -Nachos: These were my husband's choice, and they were expertly made! Lots of toppings and meat - not a dry chip in sight. -Cheeseburger: Although I could only eat a few bites of this, it was super delish! Tasted like you'd make at home on the grill. Since we couldn't finish anything entirely because we ordered too much, my husband had a lunch of corn dogs, nachos, cheeseburger, and Reuben Bites the next day for lunch, so we definitely got our money's worth, but will just order a little less next time! Overall, I think Geno's is a good place to grab an appetizer/drinks or watch a game with friends, but just don't expect fine dining in the food or atmosphere.

The Bacon Egg Burger never disappoints. One of my favorite burgers!!! Sadly I only have this photo of it reheated as a leftover so the picture does not do this burger justice! Their onion rings and fries are also so good. My server was very attentive and one of the best I've ever had. Love Geno's! Highly recommend going here.

This spot is located just off 168th & Maple, nicely tucked away in a strip mall. You may not see it just driving by unless you're looking for it. I'd say if you haven't been, definitely stop by. They have wall to wall TV's for all sports, Keno, a couple electronic games, darts, & even a few board games!! This makes it a good time for all. I tried their thin crust pizza that has plenty of toppings & lots of cheese- baked just right! I ordered their taco special $1.99 each! Pork, Beef & Chicken. They were all excellent, but my favorite is Pork! They add a flare of different ingredients to each taco making them uniquely special! Our waitress; Kaitlyn was very kind & helpful, refilling our drinks & making sure we were good at all times. We will definitely be back!

Food is ok took longer than expected. Got the Ruben bites. I guess I was expecting something different probably cause I was comparing them to the rolls from the crescent moon, which is probably not a good thing to do because nobody can compete with those. I got the pork pulled Sandwich It was OK I'd rather have more meat than less because it was oozing out of the bun. They have a good selection of beers. I was not expecting that. Layout is very open with a mixture of high tops and shorties. Will have to try the patio next time. Felt a bit claustrophobic inside. But that was exasperated by something wrong with the AC.

I had heard some great reviews on this bar for their club sandwich so that's why we were there. It's crazy times and everywhere is busy so I'm going to give a pass on the wait time. Our server was working his butt off, apologized multiple times and it wasn't his fault. We waited about an hour for our order, but that's fine. The food was ok. Nothing stood out that would bring me back. I ordered some type of Reuben bites and those were a big no for me. It's like they put Reuben ingredients in a food processor then fried. Couldn't eat it. The texture was so bad inside. The club sandwich was very good and I did enjoy their fries. The wings did not blow me away. Hopefully they are better cold tomorrow morning. I'd come back here to drink, but not for the food.

I've been watching this place on Instagram for a while. Finally had a Saturday night we could try it. We got there early 5:30 ish. There were tables on the patio so we sat outside. It wasn't busy at all. It's a good size area with plenty of tables. I had a Moscow mule my husband had a double vodka tonic. Both were fine. We had the garlic bread bread for an appetizer. The marinara stole the show. I had the beer can wings. They were a good size wing but I wasn't in love with the flavor. I also tried the onion rings, they were pretty good. My husband has the bacon and egg burger with sweet potato fries. It was not cooked properly and they took it back once and when they brought it back it seemed like it had been microwaved?!! They did take the burger and a drink off the bill so there is points for trying to make it right. I'll try it again and get something that has the awesome marinara sauce.

What a great place! We enjoyed patio dining (but wished the fire pit had been lit, maybe help with the bugs), and delicious food!! I had a Steak Bacon BLT, and my boyfriend had the barbecue chicken flatbread. Both were delicious!! The bacon was very thick cut, but what makes their BLTs really stand out is that they cut the tomato equally thick. A BLT can be ruined by skimping on the tomato, but Geno's does it perfectly! We're not big drinkers, but we're fans of bar food, and this was some of the best! There is inside dining, and we did that once, too. I'm looking forward to visiting in the cooler weather, though, so we can dine outside again and the mosquitoes won't be a bother.

    Mini Corn Dogs
    Ciara S.

After discovering Runza had discontinued their mini corn dogs I was in search of somewhere nearby that offered them. Geno's to the rescue! I don't think you can mess up mini corn dogs but to confirm, they were on point. The pretzel bites and queso were also excellent. It's not very often I want to eat like a child, but when I do I know I can count on Geno's! The rest of their menu also looked great. I only ordered appetizers this time around but will be back to try an entree. I've also noticed Crab Rangoon Nachos featured from time to time on their Facebook page. Um, YUM! The only thing that hindered our great experience was having 4 different servers waiting on us. We put our appetizers in with one person, then a different person came over to put my boyfriends entree order in. It was confusing on who to address if we needed something. I can only assume it was confusing for them as well as our water glasses remained empty far too long, it took forever to get our check once we were done eating, and it took a long time for them to run our card. We had been ready to go for quite some time but had to sit around and wait on them until we could leave. You wouldn't expect with 4 different people waiting on us there'd be any delays. I don't think that approach worked so well in the end.

    Big beers on Sunday!

I'm sure everything on the menu is good, but we came here for wings and boy did they deliver. The house brined wings are Fantastic. We did the extra hot bubba, which is their extra hot sauce fried then grilled In garlic Parmesan, which was so juicy and flavorful and kicked the heat to a perfect amount where it was flavorful but not overbearing. We also did the cactus ranch, which is the medium hot sauce tossed with cactus ranch seasoning, also tried it grilled. Another solid selection that provided a nice amount of heat and flavor. Both were so amazing I can't even say which one I liked more or which one was hotter. The wings are huge, juicy, and came out well-sauced. I filled up after five of mine (my husband tackled them all) and took the rest home. I don't know how to say best wings in Omaha, since I don't live there and haven't tried enough places, but these were some of the best wings we have EVER had, period. And we get wings almost everywhere we go. Also---the hand-cut (you heard me) fries aren't to be passed up on. We tried with the garlic aoili, so good, and a huge basket for $6. Our server was great. They are always busy, so give them some grace. We came during late lunch, got lucky and got seated right away, and it was still a revolving door of people, tables don't sit empty for long. They don't take reservations, and I understand why. They have limited space and when full, you sign up on the Board, there is a bar next door you can also receive a buzzer and go have a few drinks while you wait. This place is definitely worth the wait and we will repeatedly be back when we make it up to Omaha.

Most of our group had been to Cheddar's before, and we were all excited to try some new menu items. Overall, the food was a hit. The onion rings came out hot and fresh, the lemon pepper chicken was especially juicy, and the white fish ended up being another favorite at the table. That said, there were a few service missteps that took away from the experience. Two people in our group ordered the white fish blackened, but only one plate came out as requested--the other was pretty bland. When our server eventually checked in (a bit later than expected), we mentioned the mix-up. His response was pretty casual, something along the lines of there just being less spice, and he didn't offer to fix it or have it remade. We ended up just swapping a fillet between the two plates so each person had one blackened and one not. It worked, but it felt like something that should have been handled differently. There were also a few moments where drinks went empty for a while, and our server wasn't around much. At one point, a manager actually stepped in and refilled waters for the table, which we appreciated. Overall, the service felt very laid-back...but to the point where it came across like he didn't care. One bright spot worth mentioning: my salad came out before the meal with a lot more cheese on top than I expected. As I was picking some off onto a side plate, a manager happened to notice and stopped to ask if I'd prefer a new salad without cheese. I explained it wasn't a mistake, just more than I wanted, but I really appreciated the attention and the offer to make it right.

Suffice to say (before reading my long review) it was not on par with the L street location! The staff were definitely new and learning the menu, but that is to be expected any time a new place is freshly opened. Our server, Blake, was nice though and was learning fast. But with a few other servers, there was one thing that did not come about from being a server in a new restaurant. We were eating and could CLEARLY hear the staff around the corner talking loudly and cursing left and right. I am not a prude about language but it's just not something you see every day at a restaurant with families/kids dining. The size of the restaurant seems a little smaller than the L street location, too. That may be a psychosomatic thing when trying a different location of a place you know, but I definitely felt more cramped. The food is on par with the OG spot, so no complaints there. My usual is the bourbon glazed salmon with the cheesy broccoli on the side. So it was just as tasty as the other location, but I think I'll stick to the L street one mostly going forward.

The other tables were asked if it was their first time; talked about the menu for the evening etc. again, not a huge deal. Drinks were great..an old fashioned and a black Manhattan. I'm assuming it was a manager who came over and apologized for the delay in getting our dinners. Again, we let them know we were not in a hurry. We get the craziness of Valentine's Day. But let's get to the food...did they remove all the seasoning from the kitchen??? Our Brussels sprouts were undercooked and little to no flavor. The steaks had absolutely no seasoning and the mashed were like paste. We had to ask for salt and pepper. Why can't they just put it on the table? My prime rib was blood rare which I talked to the server about before I ordered and said I would like medium and he said they could. Oh and no horseradish sauce like it said on the menu. The saving grace was I had the French onion soup which was terrific. Like I said, knowing how crazy it is on Valentine's Day, we expected a wait. It was kind of cool to see it very empty, because we could admire all the goat accents around the interior and the cool bar, without a million people around it. There was a brunch menu at that early hour, but we decided to stick with the normal menu. Our server was great, and definitely very attentive since we were the only party in the place the entire time we were there. I had just had dental surgery so there were only a few things I could eat. I got the Meatballs appetizer (to cut up and have some meat in my stomach) and the French Onion Soup, which was the soup of the day. The French Onion Soup was super creamy and delicious. I'm used to there being just sort of darker brown with the cream and cheese on top only. This was totally cream colored and hearty. It came with a few pieces of bread points too that were good to dip/soak in the soup. My more substantial part of my meal, the meatballs, were a little less appetizing though. First off they came in a bowl, so they are not easy to cut at all (being giant meatballs, I would think anyone would want to cut them a little). And secondly, the meatballs themselves were kind of flavorless. There was some marina style sauce in the bowl with them, but the meat of the meatballs themselves had no seasoning or flavor. My husband got the caesar salad with chicken, and he was not a huge fan. It was way too heavily dressed that the salad leaves were almost wilty, and the chicken that was in the salad was cut in huge pieces - not easily eaten without sawing at the huge bits. So the food was not the star at this visit (except for the side of French onion soup), but the service and atmosphere were still great. I would return to Stokin' Goat but maybe choose some other items next time, when I can eat more substantial food.

I watched the waitress take the drink back to the bar, where the bartender (with his hair parted in the middle) poured the margarita out of and over the salted rim, into a different glass instead of making a new one. That same drink was then brought back to me. This isn't just poor service, it's a serious health and safety concern for me. There is a reason I asked for no salt. Rather than admitting a mistake and correcting it properly, they chose to cut corners and hope I wouldn't notice. If I hadn't seen it happen, I would have unknowingly consumed something I specifically asked to avoid. There were other issues during the visit, but this alone is enough to ensure I won't be returning. Trust is critical when dining out, and unfortunately, this experience showed that it's lacking here.

The good vibes started right away when we were instantly greeted with an "Aloha" from one of the servers, who ended up being ours for the night! He was so upbeat, attentive, and kind. We truly hope to have him again next time we visit. For drinks, my husband ordered the Lonebirch Cabernet and loved it. Such a great bottle of wine. I ordered the Bibimbap, which is my go-to every time we come here, and it was absolutely delicious as always. I love all the vegetables it comes with, and once it's all stirred together with the rice, every bite is packed with flavor. Perfection. My husband tried something new, the Steak + Frites and completely devoured it. He said the steak was delicious and the fries were perfectly crispy. You could tell everything was fresh. Another big shoutout to our waiter for taking such great care of us. We'll definitely be back!

I got the Bibimbop, which was not my personal favorite. This is 100% due to the fact that I don't typically like the flavor of the gojuchang sauce it comes with (I totally forgot this when I ordered). Luckily both the sauce, and the kimchi are served on the side, as I don't enjoy either. This is just my personal taste, not this restaurant recipe. Otherwise, this meal was great! The salmon and shrimp were cooked very well, as was the fried egg on top. There were more veggies than I expected, which was nice! It was odd to me personally eating raw vegetables, like cucumber, cabbage, and carrots out of a hot stone bowl, But I think this will be much better for those who enjoy the flavor of this sauce when you pour it over! The other dishes, I saw my friends order, looked amazing. I would definitely come back to this place, but try a different dish next time!
