It was good...where you "get a lot for not a lot" family friendly ..very affordable comfort food...We were served by Sam..very friendly ...great service..started us out with our drinks and a most heavenly croissant drizzled with honey butter...absolutely my b favorite..completely put me in the best mood ever! I had a grilled chicken pecan salad ...and Dean had a smokehouse burger and fries..(fries were nice and crispy) next time we will go in for just dessert ..they have lots of dessert options! Chicken Tender Platter (No. 8 Special)

They opened a closer Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen so we just had to go. Made a reservation online and arrived before the crowds hit. Shared parking lot, only a slight wait in the lobby and then we were seated right away. Delicious croissants drizzled with honey butter. Hot, fresh and baked fresh. I had the Beer Battered Shrimp with a Loaded Baled Potato and Broccoli & Cheese Casserole. Someone ordered the Chicken Tender Dinner with Hot Spicy Sauce, Mashed Potatoes and Ceasar Salad. Someone else ordered the Sirloin Steak, Loaded Baked Potato and Ceasar Salad. They also have an extensive bar menu. By the time we ordered, the lobby was filled with people. Each table has an electronic menu/bill paying system. You. An order more food, drinks, or desserts without having to wait for a server. You are label to close out your bill at your leisure. It was a delicious dinner. We will definitely return. It was challenging to snake our way out through the exit. Ok, bye.

We really enjoyed Cheddar's new location at Village point in Omaha! Our server was an amazing young kid-Gabriel B. who knew the menu well & was quick to get our drinks and kept us refilled. I ordered the bourbon salmon and shrimp with broccoli that was all cooked to perfection and flavorful. My son ordered a half rack ribs and chicken tenders. That all looked amazing. He devoured it all. My husband always liked their chicken tenders and shrimp. It did not disappoint. I like the new location, it's fresh clean and we did not have long of a wait since we did a call ahead to RSVP

Ugh, I hate to say it, but this was just not very good. My sister worked at the original Omaha location for years when we were growing up, so I've eaten a LOT of Cheddars. But unfortunately every food item here missed the mark. The honey butter croissants that allegedly came right out of the oven were almost stale tasting; it was definitely not the light, fluffy croissant I remember. I had the Monte Cristo, my old favorite. It tasted kind of like...nothing and ham? I don't know how to describe it. Just totally lacking flavor. The fries were overly salty (and I like a salty fry) and the overall flavor/texture was not good. My husband got the ribs and chicken tenders. He said the chicken was good, but the ribs were just fine and on the drier side. He would not order them again. I will say, our service was great and the new location is nice and clean (although I miss the fish tank!) However, I can't see myself rushing back here.

Chips & Homemade Queso

We grabbed a late lunch here when everyone was starving after baseball. We were seated immediately, and our server was very friendly. We started with the queso and chips that were better than I was expecting. Honestly, the queso had a little kick to it, but the salsa was really, really good. My husband and I split the ribeye with steamed broccoli and loaded mashed potatoes. Our ribeye was cooked, medium rare just like we asked for, and the sautéed mushrooms and onions gave a little extra flavor. Our son just had his wisdom teeth taken out so he was limited on what to order, but he said their loaded baked potato soup was delicious. Our other son opted for the chicken tenders, fries and a loaded baked potato. He love their hot honey dipping sauce, but said the fries could use a little extra seasoning. He loved the load of baked potato though. Overall great experience with fast, great service. We will definitely be back.

Impressively slow for pickup orders. They tell you it will be ready in 2 mins and you get it 20 mins later

The service was excellent and our server was attentive. Went there for their fried chicken which was highly recommended but was not a fan. The chicken is under seasoned and dry. Even with the dipping sauce it needed more flavor. Didn't even take a picture because it wasn't that good looking either. It was underwhelming to say the least. However, the biscuits were DELICIOUS. Crisp and amazing with butter and jam. We ordered the fried green tomatoes as well which were tasty and crunchy, they came with tasty goat cheese and some sauce, while I do wish there was a bit more sauce it was still a great choice. The Mimosa flight was good but it wasn't anything special, I do wish for the cost that there was a bit more going on or even bigger portions. Overall good place to go with a good variety of options.

We started with the biscuits, which came out hot and fresh. These were so delicious and buttery, and the peach and blueberry jam took them to the next level. My husband and I both had the mountain morning bowl. To me, this is a perfect breakfast! Goat cheese grits, crispy potatoes, egg, a little spice...YUM. The other members of our party also loved their meals. I can't wait to come back and try more!

They had some jazz playing on the overhead speakers but not too loud so you could hear the person you are with. They had a chandelier made of trumpets and trombones draped in carnival beads. We went just before 5 on a Saturday and it was not too full. It got quite busy by the time we left and I can see why! We usually do not get appetizers but I had to try the gumbo. I got the small so I could leave room for the meal. It was hot, and tasted very fresh and authentic. Our server, Alex, was very enthusiastic and quite knowledgeable about the many dishes they had. The hardest part for me was to choose what to get as everything sounded so good. I got the Andouille breaded red snapper, which was pan fried, served with a crawfish cream sauce, mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables (green beans and yellow squash). It looked as good as it tasted, which was incredible! My wife got a burger and fries which she said were also very good. We had to try the Beignets, which I haven't had in a very long time. They were hot and crispy, covered with a blanket of powered sugar, and served with a chocolate sauce and a whisky sauce. They were delicious and definitely reminded me of being back at Cafe du Monde in the French Quarter. We left full of some of the best food I had ever eaten, and felt like we were treated like family while we were there. This has quickly become my favorite restaurant in town and look forward to returning to try some of their other amazing looking food. If their other dishes are as good as what I just had, I will likely never want to go anywhere else.

It was disappointing to see another couple who arrived after us get served right away. The server we asked did end up helping us, but I did expect a manager to come over and at least apologize--unfortunately, that didn't happen. The food was not bad and definitely tasted made to order, though the jambalaya was a little dry. The restaurant was pretty loud, which is expected. On a positive note, the server we ended up with was very nice. Overall, I will not be returning. Another frustrating issue was with the entrées: you cannot substitute mashed potatoes and grits as sides, with fries or something else that you actually enjoy eating, which was disappointing. This is something the owner may want to consider changing.

Hidden treasure in the heart of Old Mill. As my friend said, "more people need to know about this…read moreplace." All of the food is made to order, and it's authentic Louisiana fare. Friendly staff, decent bar, and great meals. Budget-friendly food that's better than the standard whatever you're used to. Cool vibe - can't wait to go back. Also - check out their reverse happy hours - weirdly early and extra-late. Great deals. Cheers!

We live right by Acadian Grille, so we pop in there pretty often. It's a nice little Cajun…read morerestaurant, which there are not many of in Omaha. The interior is a little boxy, but with lots of decor like chandeliers with Mardi Gras beads hanging down, some uplighting, and cute New Orleans pictures on the walls. Our favorite little side/app, are the Boudin Balls, which are kind of like hush puppies, but with a nice helping of remoulade on top. Yum! My fave go-to entree is the Five Pepper Cream pasta, which is fettuccini tossed in a creamy creole sauce, with a huge breaded filet of blackened chicken on top. Another favorite is the Creole Mac, which is a Mac and Cheese, but with a spicy sauce/spices on top, and filled with andouille sausage as well as sliced, grilled chicken. It definitely has a kick, so if you're averse to any heat, then maybe choose something else. And lastly, I sometimes get the Cajun Meatloaf, if I'm feeling like a heavier dish. It is meatloaf, like you've obviously had a million times, but it is sitting in a dish full of grits and sweet potatoes, and topped with a creamy white béchamel sauce. They also have a lunch size portion of this, which I appreciate. And each entree comes with a little slice of cheesy bread, that's great to dip in the extra sauce of your dish! We sometimes also get the desserts, and they have a great crème brûlée and bananas foster. It's hard to find a good bananas foster in Omaha, and theirs is really good, and very large! The service we have had has always been pretty good, but we did have a weird encounter with one server recently. She made a joke about something (I can't even remember what it was), but it was a little bit poking fun at my husband. It was fine and we all laughed a little at it, but what was weird was that she kept coming over and repeating it over and over in different ways. It was a little annoying and awkward. The owner (I think?) was walking around making sure everything was ok and chatting with each table, so he was great - no complaints there. I will say the only other drawback is that it definitely is not an inexpensive place to eat, so you can't return TOO often. But when you do, you better come hungry and it needs to be a special treat. Acadian Grille is one of only a few creole/cajun restaurants in Omaha, so definitely give them a try if you are looking for that style of food - or know it and want to find it in Omaha!

This is something I order almost every time I go to Cheddars. Tonight the wrapper was not as tasty as I've had on previous visits. It was a little light on the buffalo sauce and could have been warmer. The fries weren't very crispy either. The portion sizes were huge though so I boxed up over half my meal to take with. The food came out fast and cooked perfectly. My steak was tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. The green beans and honey-glazed carrots made the perfect sides, fresh and full of flavor. We wrapped things up by sharing the fried apple pie, which was crisp, warm, and delicious. The ice cream took it to the next level. Honestly, I could have eaten the whole thing myself. Next time, I just might. Overall, great food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. Cheddar's never disappoints!

I was headed to my Mom's for her birthday, so popped into Ruby's for a slice of cake for her, and Ruby made sure to ask if I needed a fork or anything (which I did, so am so glad she asked, as I forgot I needed that!) Also, when I went to pay, my wallet popped open, exploding my cards everywhere, and she helped me pick them up and make sure I had everything before I left.
