They do have good happy hour deals. However, I only know about happy hour because I look it up online prior to visiting. When I go, they have never offered up or handed out the happy hour menu... I've had to ask. And I don't love that :/ because I'm all about the deals of course!!! It is a cute spot with a lot of space inside plus a patio. $6 happy hour house marg tastes good but wasn't super strong

Everything was delicious! Me and some friends went out for a girls night and Tupelo honey was our restaurant of choice. It did not disappoint. Everything we had was delicious. I ordered the fried green tomatoes and they came on a bed of grits with cheese. Yum Yum Yum that was my first time having both. I also ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. I have been looking for something like this for a long time and Tupelo delivered. Our waiter was funny, quick and helpful. It was an all around great time.

Really delicious food and a good selection of breakfast/ brunch items. I had a scramble bowl and liked what they did with the flavoring. I liked the interior, with the high ceilings it was easy to have a conversation. Two areas that need improvement: 1) Parking, coming from out of town, there was no signage for parking near the restaurant. I had to park several blocks away, but there might have been closer options. just didn't see it. 2) The service - didn't get a warm welcome when I arrived (hostess was on the phone), once seated, the two servers didn't know who was going to serve us. Once they did decide, our server was not happy with us; there was a lot of negative energy, as if we were keeping him from something bigger in his life. He just seemed irritated with us.

I appreciate the gluten free options! Vast menu with all kinds of mixed southern cuisine options. They also have a full bar and a nice drink menu. Service was prompt, even with my group of 6 (it was a weeknight and not very busy). Lovely, sophisticated, modern atmosphere. Very welcoming. Very nice and quiet area of downtown. Also some very cool bars nearby. I will definitely be returning.

Let me preface by saying I am not a big fried chicken person, and Tupelo honey is pretty well known for their chicken. I opted for their breakfast sandwich and it was just okay for me. I didn't love the meat on it, but this is more of a personal preference than anything. Now, I did try the chicken and waffles, and I was pleasantly surprised. I would order that next time!! Besides the food, the restaurant was beautiful, and service was good!

The interior is beautiful and very well designed. The vibe is perfect for a nice brunch or dinner. The food however wasn't as good as I expected. The Brussels were too crispy and had little flavor but my friend loved them haha. I got the chicken tenders with the 3 dipping sauces and a side of mac and cheese. The chicken was okay but overdone. The mac and cheese was probably my favorite! I also got a pink lemonade which was really good. Service was okay. I'd come back to try more.

This was my second time at Tupelo Honey, and it definitely didn't disappoint! I ordered the chicken and waffles, and they were warm and cooked perfectly. The chicken paired so well with the waffle, adding just the right sweet touch. We went around 2 PM, so there was plenty of seating, which made for a relaxed experience. Our waiter was incredibly kind and attentive, and the restaurant itself was very clean with welcoming decor and lots of natural lighting. It's a great option for larger groups, and I'm already excited to come back and enjoy the outdoor patio this summer!

We went here for brunch for the first time, and I was blown away! The inside was beautiful and had an elevated southern flare. They had lots of open seating and a huge outdoor patio for variety of special occasions. We were seated right away and the service was excellent. The food was also delicious. The dirty chai was more on the spiced side than sweet, but it was still really good. The shrimp and grits were the highlight of the meal. They had a bit of cajun spice, and the grilled lemon really elevated the entire dish. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant, and it's made its way to one of my favorites. I definitely will be back to try more of the menu!

We've eaten here a few times and this time didn't disappoint. Had a large group and the server did a great job getting our drinks and orders taken. Food came out and everyone was happy with their selections. I had the sweet & spicy fried chicken & waffles. Yum! A great balance of sweet and spicy with the sriracha honey. The chicken was crispy over a fluffy waffle, when you douse it is syrup it's perfection. I do wish they would bring back the Mac and cheese waffles, that's my all time favorite with hot chicken and ranch. I think about that dish all of the time. Nonetheless, a great experience and we'll be back.

Had brunch at Tupelo Southern Kitchen and Bar yesterday and really enjoyed the overall vibe. The food was on point! Fried okra, spicy chicken and waffles, regular chicken and waffles with mac and cheese everything came out hot and flavorful. We also ordered a flight of mimosas that were super tasty, though a little pricey. The space itself is beautiful. Colorful, lively, and just a great place to hang out for a weekend meal. Only downside was the front-of-house experience. We didn't get greeted when we came in, and no one acknowledged us on the way out either. Also never got a text that our table was ready which was a bit frustrating. Still, the food and atmosphere made up for it. I'd definitely come back and recommend it to others looking for a solid brunch spot. Solid four stars.

I couldn't miss this Yelp event at Tupelo Honey. I missed the last one and was very bummed because everyone raved about how amazing it was. I was honestly surprised by how much food we were given, generous portions and a great variety to choose from. They even included their specialty fried chicken dish! I really wanted to order the Smashburger with the onion gravy, but I decided to order order the chicken and waffles instead, and let me tell you, I'm VERY picky when it comes to this dish. I've yet to find a good chicken and waffles spot in Omaha... until now. THIS IS IT! The chicken was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of seasoning, not too saucy, and full of flavor. The waffle was soft but not soggy, and everything paired together beautifully. They even created a specialty cocktail just for the event, served in the beautiful teacups we got to take home. A very thoughtful and charming touch. The cocktail was so refreshing.. I believe Josh said it was whiskey, lemon, and a house made ginger syrup. The bar is stunning and the staff are incredibly sweet, going out of their way to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. Josh, the manager, was also so friendly and shared the story behind Tupelo Honey, its roots, and what makes their concept unique, it really added a personal touch to the night. 10/10 experience and I will be recommending them to everyone.

    Cheers

A great happy hour spot to rest and recharge when taking in Omaha sights. We came in right at the end of Happy Hour on a Tuesday and the bar was pretty empty. We asked for recommendations and were told they are known for their chicken and the Fried Green Tomatoes are a fan fav. We grabbed drinks, waiting to dive in. The atmosphere is lively, good amount of chatter from the restaurant, clean and the staff was SUPER friendly. We had told her it was our first time in Omaha, and she was happy to provide local MUST DO's. The Fried Green tomatoes are extra hot, crispy and very delicious. A good happy hour portion. The smothered chicken was crispy, a good amount of chicken and pretty filling. Our server said it's very southern to make sure you don't go hungry. We were almost sold on the banana pudding. It sounded delicious and very unique. We'll have to come back to grab some, we were stuffed.

Love coming to this place. Food is always tasty. Great staff. Cool atmosphere and fast service. Banana pudding is amazing here.

In a good way, of course. She did allow me to share her Maple Braised Bacon (meaning that I was able to snatch a piece while she wasn't looking). Really, really fine, something I'd definitely order again. For me. Not to share. I had the Schnitzel Bennie with tart cherry jam and lemon hollandaise. Sound unusual? Tasted great! My only gripe was that the pork cutlet was a bit small and could have used a bit more seasoning in the breading. Would I order it again? You betcha! Service was fast and efficient. The decor was quirky and inviting but the space was loud enough that it was really hard to carry a conversation. Overall rating: yahoo!

My husband is a much harsher critic than I am, and he gave it a "rare 5.5 out of 5." The pancakes were some of the fluffiest I've ever had. They also have a great selection of coffee flavors to choose from, which was a fun bonus. The coffee paired perfectly with breakfast, though I probably wouldn't come here just for the coffee alone. The flavor was good but it did have a slight burnt taste. A quick note: you order at the counter before sitting down. It's a mix of self-serve and sit-down service. You order at the counter, grab your own silverware, and seat yourself, but they bring your food and drinks out to you (other than water). I do wish they were a bit more attentive about clearing finished plates during the meal. The restaurant was so busy that the line was out the door when we arrived, but it moved surprisingly fast. They were fairly busy, and honestly our food took a bit to come out, but I am still giving a five due to the overall experience and quality of service. Our server Melannie was fantastic and always present. We did the bottomless mimosa deal (3 out of 4 of us) and she was always coming around asking us what flavor we wanted next when our current was still half full to make sure we got our moneys worth. The champagne might not be the fanciest, but for $20 bottomless mimosas I'll take it. They have fun flavors in addition to the basic ones like strawberry, mango, etc. which adds an element of fun. For food--there were several things I was eyeballing but landed on the spicy chorizo Benny. It was really good, eggs cooked perfect, and came with hashbrowns. Another at our table got the poutine which also looked yummy. I'd say the food portion could have included a bread/toast option, however If brunching in Omaha i'd return to try several things on the menu. The vibe inside is chill, would be more fun sitting outside once the weather warms up. Since I was the one that booked the reservation, the tab got a bit confusing. At first they were taking it off my total, then the server said that hold would come off so I paid for my meal/drinks there. I did end up getting double charged (for both the reservation hold and my meal) which was cleared up with a quick phone call to their establishment---apparently it is a new process they are trying. I do understand though why they wouldn't want to just deduct the hold as then people that don't know how to tip wouldn't tip on the total, which hurts the server. All was cleared up regarding this mishap though so no complaints.

Ambiance: It was a nice regular refreshing bar/brunch spot. But safety was a HUGE issue which is where I'll get to my point of this low rating. Service: Is negative zero a thing? That goes to the owner... the 1 star is for the decent service my server attended towards me. In unfortunate events it's not the servers fault.. but overall with the owner coming out, couldnt be anymore careless.. The Cause: Either the owner or a staff employee whomever that is responsible for setting up the patio umbrellas, and I mean those large heavy metal patio umbrellas, well, they failed to lock the pole of the umbrella and unfortunately the umbrella lifted and blew away and had hit a family in the face that were dining there also; instant noticeable bruising to the face... I was only a table away from them.. it could have been me too. I am disappointed in the lack of care in general that surrounded the scene. Little 5 ft me... was the only one that came to help while everyone else sat around and minded their own business... it took a long while until one of the staff noticed to help and then the owner came out and awkwardly said a one word-sorry and dipped... didnt come back to offer any hospitality, non-genuine and non-apologetic... it made me lose my appetite. They had the audacity to still charge the family their meal... but I had to tell these really nice folks to make sure they get comped back. It was sickening to me on how careless they were treated. I would never come back! I mean an exaggerating long wait, cold soggy food and careless hospitality from the owner himself. That's three major strikes. P.s. That same wknd.. the news showed up about a South Carolina woman that was struck by a patio umbrella and died on site... that says alot about lacking safety. Yes, search it up. It's real news.. Hope this help improves the business alertness. P.p.s. And although I was disappointed at this dining-bar overall... I still tipped my server a good $20 as the situation was out of their control, my server was still attentive towards me. They all just need social common courtesy in empathy and hospitality. But anyways, my lunch ended with bittersweetness with the family that got struck, they comped my whole meal for genuinely being the only one that was concerned for them. The only service I'm grateful for was that.
