Honey salmon. So good.
Patricia M.

This is a mixed review. The food at Tussey's is very good. I had the southwest eggrolls, which were nice and crispy. It has plenty of black beans, which I love and a sweet sauce. I also had the honey chicken for my main dish. It was great! The honey sauced complimented the salmon nicely. The side of garlic smashed potatoes were to die for. The drinks on the other hand were a problem. I'm guessing that they didn't have a real bartender on hand. My husband's first attempt to order a dry martini up, was met with a very dirty martini with lots of olive juice, but no olive. The waitress happily replaced it. This time, the order was a dry martini up with a twist. It was served as a vodka lemon martini. Ouch. We didn't mention it this time. It was near Christmas this is no time to be a grinch. They were short staffed and doing the best they could. I will definitely come back.

Had a very nice time last night. The servers are very courteous, smiling and nice. The food is great. The place is well kept and clean, background music is upbeat but not deafening. We will be back.

Wow! I sure wish we had ventured up here years ago. It is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth a visit. The restaurant is attractive, yet casual, with both indoor and outdoor dining areas. There is a bar with somewhat limited options, including a decent but smallish wine list. The menu includes everything from soups and salads to sandwiches to full dinners. This isn't a diner or bar and grill! The food is prepared with flair and sophistication. Save room for the Key Lime Pie. I think it just might be the best I have ever had outside of Florida! Our server could not have been more friendly. She has been waiting tables at Tussey's for about a dozen years. That says something about a restaurant's consistency and business ethic. Tussey's is the type of restaurant every neighborhood should have. Florence/ Ponca Hills is blessed to have it.

Kudos to owner, Mark Tussey, for PAPER STRAWS!!!! Awesome food and AND respectful of our environment. #yaytusseys

Tussey's be the best kept secret in Omaha, and it might be because it's tucked into a strip mall off of North 680. I would suggest that you make the effort to take a short drive north! I have eaten at Tussey's many many times, and have yet to ever be disappointed. The owner is a past executive chef for a large hotel here in Omaha and I worked with him in a professional relationship when I was working. He was always creative and executed perfectly in all of the functions we utilized him for from Gala's to luncheons. He is no less talented or creative in his own venue. Their Sunday brunch is spot on and delivers on every level. They do a very good business and find themselves as one of only a few upscale restaurants in that part of town. But do not for a moment assume that customer loyalty is based merely on accessibility to their home. Many of us make the drive to frequent Tussey's. From simple lunches and salads to well executed evening options, Tessie's delivers.

I came here during Omaha Restaurant Week and was not disappointed. When we pulled up I wasn't sure if we had the right location! It's simple decor with bright colors on the walls. You can see into the kitchen when you walk in. The food. The food was the best I've had in a long time. We got the spinach and artichoke dip. OMG. You could put this dip on a piece of cardboard and I would eat it. It's seriously that good. We also got hummus which was good as well. We both got the same entree. We got the seafood thermador. Everything was perfect from the sauce to the cook of the seafood. For the finale we got the bread pudding and creme brulee! The bread pudding was the most delicious ever! It wasn't mushy and was very flavorful. The creme brulee was delicious as well. The restaurant was packed and not because of Omaha Restaurant week, but because the food is delicious! This is a must to try for everyone.

In my opinion, overpriced and overrated. Not bad, but definitely not a place I'm in love with.

Oh my , these fried , char grilled bone in wings are so delicious!…read moreCannot wait to enjoy them again. Servers were right on the spot. It was so busy , yet being sat, and served seemed fast ! Nothing fancy ! Comfortable, I liked sitting by the windows. Only one toilet in each bathroom. So you may have to wait awhile there. Just writing this makes me hungry for those wings again.

Everett's is one of those places you'd probably drive past if you didn't know it was there. It has…read morethat tucked away dive bar feel, but the food is on a completely different level. My wife and I both ordered the Everett's #2 with pulled chicken, coleslaw, and BBQ sauce. Everything just worked together perfectly. The chicken was tender, the slaw added the right crunch, and the bun tied it all together. It was one of those sandwiches where after the first bite you just look at each other and know you made the right choice. We also ordered the Saucy Rossy wings and they were the perfect heat level for both of us. Not so mild that they're boring and not so hot that you're suffering. Pro tip: get them fried and grilled. The extra texture and flavor are absolutely worth it. My wife is a total Brussels sprouts snob and she was absolutely in love with theirs. The funny part is that I'm usually not much of a Brussels sprouts person, but I kept asking for more off her plate. That alone should tell you how good they were. The fries were okay. Nothing that stole the show, but nothing to complain about either. The service wasn't the best during our visit, but they also had a 30-person table they were dealing with, so it was completely understandable. Even with that, the food was so good that it's already a top 3 meal for my wife. We'll definitely be thinking about those sandwiches, wings, and Brussels sprouts until we're back, and I don't think that'll take very long.

I love this place. And it's not because I worship raccoons…read more This has been a staple in Omaha for years. I remember coming here as a kid with my mom and grandma. The food is great! I highly recommend the fried chicken, that's what they're known for. And the raccoon show, of course. If you're a crazy raccoon/wild animal lover like me, then this place is for you. It's also filled with super cute raccoon décor and art. The other food is delicious as well. It's family-run, and everyone is so nice.

Obviously a huge selling point in this place was how leftover food was fed to the raccoons outside,…read morewhich was extremely cute, but the food itself was very well-made if we are assessing it from the perspective of fried food. Tenders, chicken, gizzards, and livers were all seasoned very well and sizzling hot when served. Even with my experience having fried chicken in many places, I thought this establishment made theirs very well. My only major criticism, other than the fact that the food options were too oriented on fried food, was that the potato wedges that came with the dinners, albeit huge, burned my hard palate because it was way too hot, so a fair advice for every guest is to please break the potato wedges open so that they can cool down, before eating them. I had to use ketchup, which was cold, to cool down the potato wedges. And of course, one should totally enjoy watching the raccoons eat while consuming the delicious food! It was very pleasant to watch.
