From the moment we arrived the experience was A+. The gentleman who greeted us was new and he informed us he wouldn't have all the answers. However, he was eager to find the answers he needed. Our server was a delightful, also eager to do a good job. I ordered the steak it came with broccolini and smashed potatoes, it was so delicious. I really enjoyed to look of the dining room. It was very modern and completely clean. My wife had the braised short rib which she split with my bff Bob's wife. Bob had the short rib grilled cheese he really enjoyed it. If you can give them a visit. My steak was perfectly cooked, everything was well seasoned and jealous. What an awesome place with an awesome mission. GO TO THERE!!!!
- This is an absolutely darling setup above the Dundee strip with a regal yet homegrown welcoming energy when you walk in. The service was thorough and thoughtful! I came for the desserts and was most surprised by how much I enjoyed the chocolate creme brulee! The chocolate flavor was deep and not overtly sweet, truly creamy cocoa. The raspberries on top were a perfect match! - The cheesecake was so far from store bought, it reminded me of homemade cheesecake! The texture was thick and almost curdy in a way, not the overly smooth almost gelatinous of big brand slices. It was delightful with spiced peaches. The lemon tart was a big favorite with my family, surprising us all with its filling and bright fresh flavor! Absolutely would go back and love that their menu changes and their mission is beautiful.
Excellent service and decent food. Ordered a salad with dressing on the side, but the dressing never came. Fries were a bit soggy but I liked the seasoning that it came in. Mocktails are also fun!
Ooh De Lally: Golly what a lovely evening. Sad we finally made it here for the first time while living so close but so happy we have a new regular spot and suggestion for others. We went on a Wednesday evening for my wife's birthday. Reservation maybe not required but there were quite a few tables in use. We had our 18month old with us and they were very accommodating. The staff was great very friendly. One of our servers was training another and they were both great sad I can't remember their names for a shoutout. Drinks: I had the Thymekeeper which was a mezcal drink which I really enjoyed the thyme infused smokiness to it and the lemon and passion fruit gave it just enough sweet/sour to balance perfectly. My wife had the Açaí Cosmo and said it was her favorite cocktail of the last year at least. Fav cosmo ever also. Starters: Dundee Dip which is just cheesy goodness the bread soaks up the oils and was very tasty. The sausage had a really strong flavor which I enjoyed fennel in it I think. The banana peppers gave it a perfect hint of kick/crunch. Mains: Marks signature Mac and cheese which was great and had a really unique flavor this was ordered first and came out quick for the baby which was super nice they accommodated our request. We all loved it. I had the short rib grilled cheese and upgraded to the broccolini. It also came with an amazing herbed horseradish dip that was to die for. Perfect blend with the sandwich. Only ate half and had the other half for lunch the next day and was still very tasty. My wife had the smoked chicken lasagna which she really enjoyed it also had a super unique flavor that was great. They ended up giving us a free dessert for her birthday which we had to take to go as our daughter was acting up and we didn't want to ruin other guests experience. She went with the peach cobbler cheesecake I believe it was called and it was also delicious. They take and box up all the leftovers in the back which I always enjoy and use nice microwave safe containers which makes taking it to work or warming up a breeze. 10/10 all around for service, food quality, and atmosphere. Pricing is fair for the quality and service. Very cute place and the patio looks amazing for the warmer weather on the horizon. We will be back.
We visited Ooh De Lally for Valentine's Day and it was amazing!!! This place has been on my bucket list for a while, so I was so happy we finally made it. We started with the short rib fries and they were SO good. I had the Ooh De Lally salad with salmon, and my boyfriend ordered the lasagna. Of course, we also had to try their famous mac n cheese. Every single bite was delicious. I can't remember the name of my drink, but it had this fun foam on top and it was so good. Such a great spot for a date or special dinner! I'll definitely be back!
First time here after so many good reviews. Alex served us with great attention and prompt responses. Service with a smile for sure. Love the space, nice view over Underwood Ave. and nice outdoor patio for al fresco dining. The food was terrific. The photos will show what we had. We recommend all of them. We will be back. Ooh de Lally has been on my wishlist to visit for a long while, and my husband and I just got to O in our ABC restaurant challenge so it was the perfect occasion to finally take the plunge! First off, I LOVE their mission. Helping formerly incarcerated/rehabilitated folks enter the workforce with a career in the culinary arts or other areas of the hospitably field. I absolutely love it. And aside from the mission, everything about Ooh de Lally is fantastic! The service, the ambiance, the food - everything! It is such a cute place. Lots of airy light blue touches, nice wood features, and cute murals and art pieces around. The bar has really cool lighting features too, with a vintage feel, that really ties it all together. Our server (I didn't catch her name, arg) was absolutely fantastic. She made sure our drinks were always filled, even when they were super busy on a Sunday at brunch time. We were there for the aforementioned brunch, and WOWZA, everything was to die for. I am not usually even a brunchy/breakfast person, and even I had to give them props for converting this hater. The brunch spread is in the side room by the entrance, and in that small side room they pack a lot of great stuff! The sweet potato hash, Mac and cheese, steak with au jus, and all the delicious pastries - yum! And to top it all off - the brunch is only $30 per person! You cannot find that price anywhere else at this high of quality. We will be back for the lunch and/or dinner too, to try out another style of their food. Whether you go for brunch, lunch, or dinner - I guarantee you will not be disappointed, based on our amazing experience!
Girls night out and we were looking for a quiet place for conversation. Ooh de Lally perfectly fit the bill. Nice setting, friendly staff, and quiet. Granted, it was only 5:30, but even as it began to fill up, it worked. Entrees are a little on the high side, but there are offerings across the spectrum with sandwiches and salads. We opted for high end. Lobster roll and lobster mac and cheese. Ooh de Lally is in the space formerly known as Mark's, and their four cheese mac-n-cheese carries on their famous tradition. One of the cheeses is blue, which adds just a touch of -- "Yum, what is that?" that keeps you coming back. The sauce is light and not overly thick, which also is a delight. There were nice chunks of lobster, but in and of itself, lobster is not a rich flavor, so it can get overwhelmed by the cheeses. That said, there is a less expensive no-lobster mac on the menu. The lobster roll was brimming with its star ingredient and was good to the last bite. For a side we had broccolini, which was just meh. Nicely cooked, but not especially seasoned. For dessert, we tried the key lime tart, which was delightfully tart! Instead of standard graham cracker crust, it was more of a shortbread, which was nice. The meringue on top -- just right. Everyone was nice, food was good -- I'd come back!
I want to give this place more than five stars, but here we are. From the start, this was a fantastic experience. We came here for my birthday dinner because I was so impressed by their mission. I included on our reservation that our daughter has an egg allergy and when we arrived they had a special menu marked up with what items would be safe, what items could be modified, and what items would not be possible for her. I've never had a restaurant put that level of prep or thought into a menu for an allergy before. On top of that, the vibes are great, the food is delicious, the service is stellar, and we will absolutely be back!

I chose Ooh de Lally for my birthday dinner last night and I'm so glad I did! We had reservations for 7:00 but got there early to have a drink outside on their lively patio. Well we ended up eating out there because the weather was absolutely perfect! Our server, Jackie, started us with a bottle of wine and the Crab and Sweet Corn Croquettes. These little patties were fried perfectly and loaded with crab, not just fillers. I have to be honest and say I'm not sure where the sweet corn comes into play because I didn't see any in the cakes, unless it's blended into the remoulade sauce, but it was fantastic. So many things I wanted to try on the menu but I chose the Faroe Island Salmon. I have to say it was the best salmon I have ever had! I typically lean towards salmon at most restaurants so I've had it many times and this dish definitely ranks at the top. Nice thick fillet cooked perfectly, moist and flaky with a nice seared outside. Served with a sweet/sour type of condiment that paired perfectly with each bite. Toasted orzo along side was delicious also. Jackie was amazing and so helpful with suggestions and making sure we were well taken care of. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other tempting dishes on the menu or just to sit outside on the patio for cocktails. There is a bar below the restaurant called The Fox Den which I would love to try, but sadly they're closed on Monday so will have to come back another time.

The outdoor seating pleasant; the indoor large picture window was great too. ONLY problem, hence one star less--no front entrance for handicapped people. There is one small sign, unclear direction, we had to ask passers-by for a roundabout tiny 4 car lot in the back for handicapped access. suggest clear sign with direction.
I am thrilled that Ooh De Lally has been open for lunch!! When I first tried them they were just opening up and only offered Dinner. We did get to try their dinner one night with my boyfriend's parents and it was delicious!! I ordered the Mark's Mac & Cheese that night and it was rich and divine! A definite winner in my book and I love that they included it in the lunch menu!! We all left that night with tummies satisfied and looking forward to our next visit! Fast forward to 2025 and I had recently seen a good friend of mine post on her Instagram that she had lunch there. I was thinking about enjoying lunch there myself for a few days and finally pushed the trigger. I checked their hours, they close at 2 for lunch, and planned my workout to stop by for lunch after. It worked out really well! I stopped in asked the host if I could sit outside and already knew what I wanted. I loved sitting on the patio next to the flowers and watching the bumble bees hop from one flower to another. The waitress was wonderfully friendly, happy to seat me and seemed to love that I was taking myself out on a date! It wasn't a cheap date but I knew I wanted to try that lobster roll and treat myself. I probably wouldn't order it again because of the steep price but I did enjoy it very much! I loved every bite and I ate every bite! I finished off my meal with the savory, sweet, and decadent chocolate creme brulee. It was the perfect ending to my patio lunch date! The setting on the patio is casual and peaceful! Exactly what I needed today. I still look forward to going back again and enjoying lunch! Dundee is one of my favorite places in Omaha and I love hanging out in the area!
One of my favorite restaurants in town! The restaurant has a great atmosphere, but what really stood out to me was its mission and commitment to creating opportunities within the community. To drink, I ordered the Açaí Cosmopolitan, which was refreshing and well-balanced. For dinner, we shared the crab and sweet corn croquettes, braised short ribs, and scallops. Every dish was excellent. The croquettes were crispy on the outside and packed with flavor, while both the short ribs and scallops were cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. It's always nice to find a restaurant that delivers both great food and a meaningful purpose. Between the delicious meal, thoughtful service, and mission behind the restaurant, Ooh De Lally is absolutely worth a visit. read more

I came here with my girlfriend, and unfortunately, several mistakes made the experience very disappointing. First, our entrées arrived only about five minutes after the appetizer, even though we had not finished it yet. Second, both entrées arrived cold. I ordered the chicken lasagna, and it tasted reheated and was still cold. My girlfriend's short ribs were the same. We sent both dishes back and ordered burgers instead. I asked for mine medium, but it arrived well-done. What disappointed us the most was that neither the manager nor the chef came to the table to apologize or address the situation. Unfortunately for them, we have both worked in the restaurant industry for years, and we know the proper protocol. At the very least, a manager should approach the table when a guest sends a dish back. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

blishment was not more courteous with the error. Browsing Omaha for a dining experience and the search revealed pets welcome at this establishment. Unfortunately after driving to the Ooh De Lally we were immediately turned away citing the no pet policy. I politely showed the hostess their listing and was directed to speak with a manager and I politely declined stating it was not needed. It's unfortunate that a business has full control over the information contained there and would be appropriate to update the information to prevent future patrons from being misled. After the rejection, there isn't a need for a future return. It would have only been decent customer service since the information was misleading to accommodate us, keeping in mind the pet was a 5.2lb 16 year old chihuahua that has cataracts, calm and making a stir while checking in and the patio only had one other table. The hostess felt the only recourse was to point me to a sign which I wasn't sure where it was because it didn't matter at this point, she stated her policy. I kindly referred her to the online info, and pulled the info up for her. We drove to dine and again, to create a future customer the choice was to instead decline and send us away. She did ask if he was a service animal but was not gonna take that away from a true service animal. Hopefully this place makes the needed corrections and unfortunately our experience will be how this was handled. Yes, I see the follow up from the restaurant and our decision to not return seems fit based on the "Owner" response. Good customer service would have been reflected in the response acknowledging more than just how "Frustrating" it was for us. No, being truly sincere would have been we appreciate your business and apologize for the inconvenience. Please here is 10% off your next meal or dessert is on us, please come back. We certainly don't care about the 10% but it's about the true understanding and apparently this is not the goal of the "owner". The effort as such would have prompted us to give another try. With the lack of effort to even bring a customer back speaks volumes. 2026 Omaha made changes for restaurants regarding pets and the disregard to an error and the drive we made apparently holds little to this establishment. read more

My bestie chose Ooh De Lally for my birthday dinner, and let me tell you.. it did not disappoint!!! From the outside to the inside, Ooh De Lally is gorgeously curated, moody, and perfect for a sexy date night or girls dinner. My best friend let the servers know it was my birthday and they were so kind, welcoming, and made me feel so special for my special day, even bringing me a creme brûlée with a celebratory candle on the house! The food was delicious, and we both dug into each others' plates to try everything. The steak was juicy and flavorful, the asparagus might have been the best I have ever had, and my bacon cheeseburger and fries were phenomenal. I will be coming back to Ooh De Lally! read more

Phenomenal service, experience, and opportunity to celebrate our best friends next trip around the sun. The food and drinks were absolutely wonderful! This was my second time going to Ooh De Lally, and it was just as good as the last time I went. I had the lobster mac & cheese and it was absolutely delicious, and there was a hearty amount of lobster in it. We booked ahead, but were seated immediately and our server was extremely attentive throughout the night. I always love the vibe this place brings and it fits perfectly into the Dundee area. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Ooh De Lally. We initially came because the menu looked good and we loved the story of the restaurant. Honestly, we were wowed from beginning to end. The food here is great. I didn't have a bite or a drink that I didn't like. Let me start with the lobster roll. It's a bold move to serve a lobster roll on your menu in landlocked Omaha, Nebraska lol but it tasted amazing. Generous succulent chunks of lobster, perfectly seasoned on a really nice roll. I'm also a sucker for hand cut fries. These were cooked to perfection and served with one of the best aïoli sauces I've ever had. I was literally using fries to scrape the bottom of the ramekin. The muscles were great, and it was the broth that really made this dish a home run. I liked how it was served with the toasted bread standing in the dish to make an interesting shape, and they gave a very generous portion of broth. We also ordered the steak and potatoes. I'm not sure what kind of steak it was, it was a little more toothsome so I'm guessing it was a flat iron or a sirloin, but it was cooked to a perfect medium rare as we requested. The potatoes on the side were phenomenal. Well-cooked, amazing flavor, and a perfect pairing with the red meat. Our service was attentive and friendly, and the timing of the dishes coming out of the kitchen was spot on. We enjoyed the unique furnishings and atmosphere, and enjoyed ourselves immensely. A unique dinner spot nestled in Dundee minutes from downtown Omaha. Delicious food, friendly and accommodating service in a relaxed atmosphere. Nice cocktail AND mocktail menu. The signature mac n cheese had a nice twist of blue cheese flavor. Burger plate offered plenty of tasty hand cut fries and yummy aioli sauce. I really enjoyed myself, not only in the ambiance and vibes of the restaurant but also the tasty brunch options (as pictured), and great waitstaff. The waiters would come and check on us periodically and always refilled our cups of water. If you go in the morning to early afternoon for Sunday Brunch all-you-can-eat, parking can be attainable; if later, street parking may be hard to find. read more
I could not be happier with my experience and food at Ooh De Lally. Such a beautiful and intimate space. Our server was so kind, helpful and attentive. I cannot rave enough about the food. We ordered the short rib fries for an appetizer and it came out HOT and fresh, and it was a huge bowl of them. They were delish too, everyone in our group really enjoyed them. I ordered the smoked chicken lasagna and it was delicious. A generous portion, I brought half home with me for leftovers. The flavors were just so good. First and foremost I love ooh de lallys mission. I wish more organizations took this initiative. And I'm so glad Marks old location is being utilized again, I always loved the charming outdoor patio and floor to ceiling windows overlooking underwood. And they have some of the marks classics on the menu like Mac n cheese and smoked chicken lasagna. Cocktails, service, entrees and appetizers were wonderful. My chopped salad was a bit underwhelming so I'd pick something different next time, but all of us, including my children, found something we loved. read more

We had reservations for a regular table and were seated immediately at an excellent window spot. She ordered the Mocktail Spritzer, I had Sauvignon Blanc. Both paired perfectly with the Dundee Dip and side of Mark's Mac n Cheese as appetizers--the highlights of the meal. For entrées, she had the braised short ribs, I had the steak. Both were flavorful with ample portions. I paired mine with Alexander Valley Cab/Sauv. She finished her mocktail with her meal. Staff was friendly and attentive; everyone seemed genuinely engaged. The restaurant offers a great view overlooking Underwood. 5/5--will return and add to our Omaha favorites rotation. First time here together, and it's a keeper. read more
Didn't realize how the restaurant was partially in an old house, very cool intimate place with a large bar. We were lucky to have a table by the windows. We started with the Sweet Corn and Crab Croquettes. They were delicious, mostly crab and came with a yummy sauce. For entrees we had the scallops and the short ribs. The scallops were perfectly cooked, melt in your mouth and full of flavor, paired with fingerling potatoes and roasted carrots. The short rib was tender and tasty with a tangy jaus and sautéed greens. Both were mouth watering and we wanted to like our plates clean. The Clear and Present Danger cocktail was my favorite very acidic with a nice amount of spice. The Peach Pepper Margarita was also very good with peach puree and dried apricot. My friends and I decided to try out the brunch buffet at Ooh De Lally for the first time, and were pretty satisfied with the experience. Google had originally said that the restaurant was closed on Sundays, but when you called the restaurant they confirmed it was open 10am-2pm for brunch, so bear that in mind when deciding to go here. I wish they would update the times on google, as we almost didn't go since we thought it was closed. We had made a reservation for the 4 of us, and when we arrived we were seated quickly even though it was already fairly packed. The restaurant itself is on the smaller more intimate side. There was lots of open windows overlooking Dundee, and so the view was beautiful. The brunch menu itself was small, but it was all you can eat so there was plenty of food to satisfy your hunger. The food overall was good. There was not a whole lot of variety or selection, but the food that was served was fairly hot and flavorful. I know they have limited room to place all the food, but they made do with the space they had. There was a little bit for everyone, but I do wish there was more variety of food served. Overall, for the price you pay and the food quality it is worth the price to me. I would love to check out their lunch/dinner menu in the future! read more

This place was amazing. It's small enough that the ambiance is quaint and cozy and you are actually sitting upstairs overlooking the street. We ordered family style to try a few things and the food was very tasty. The service was fast and accurate. No long waiting. Noise level was busy since the space is on the smaller side.
