    Tavern bubbles

Very intimate ambiance in this place! We both ordered cocktails and they were both amazing! The espresso martini was super smooth and the Tavern Bubbles had some fun dry ice action going on! My mom got the quesadillas and loved them! I got the Swiss mushroom chicken sandwich and it fell flat for me. No flavor in any bite which was sad. We also thought the fries were very small and mostly air but the thick ones were great dipped in ranch! The menu is fancy but a little small so I suggest looking ahead! But this place would be great for a date night!

One of the best cinnamon rolls in Omaha. The cream cheese frosting has a hint of lemon! The sunrise waffle was loaded with fresh fruit! Also comes with a side. The ice cream battered French toast was also a hit. I had the T180 classic. Although the eggs were fluffy and the potatoes chunky and cooked well the fresh vegetables had a propane taste that made them inedible and infused that odd taste with everything it touched. I've had them before with dinner and have not had this taste before. Note to self order the bacon next time instead of the veggies with breakfast. To their credit they did deduct $5 off the meal which was appreciated.

We had a good meal at Tavern 180 which we ended up at because I needed to use a gift card. Service was nice and the place was moderately busy, but I wasn't super excited about the food though it was definitely OK and just might not have been to my particular taste. Kids definitely seemed to like it just fine and there was a cool vibe. Ultimately, I think the thing I like the most was the seafood bisque.

Tavern 180 is a staple for us and frequently stop for good food and service. The French dip is a great sandwich as is the Wagyu burger! Comfortable atmosphere which can get a bit loud on a busy day but that is to be expected.

Came for the brunch menu...on a Saturday late morning. We had a large party and a reservation so we were sat in the "party room" area and it wasn't super busy so we had the space to ourselves. I can see this being a good spot for a small gathering of sorts. Server was okay, nothing stood out just the normal expectation of a waitstaff. So, bottomless mimosas AND coffee...I went with the caramel coffee (hot) and Starbies who? No, because why was it the best coffee (in a restaurant) that I've had. There were a variety of drinks and everyone liked them, but the bartender did seem to have a heavy pour, which might be sweet on a Friday night, but a little much for bunch. The food was decent, I had French toast with a side of bacon and french fries. YES, fries...that's my business. It was good, bacon was cooked nicely and the French toast was a nice thick brioche that was fluffy and filling. The serving size was good for the price point and I wouldn't mind going beck to try the dinner menu, BUT i'm not jumping at the opportunity if you get what I mean. It was okay and a good option if you are in the area already, but not drive out of your way type option. Side note...the salad pictured is to show portion sizes. I didn't actually eat that...but the person who did said it was good and they enjoyed it.

Great place upscale atmosphere food is amazing and the drinks are custom-made. I'll come back every time. I travel to Omaha.

I've been here a lot and love this place. Most every dish I've tried is amazing but I especially like their espresso martini, and their cinnamon roll which actually comes with enough frosting! My work party was held in the back room and we have great food and very friendly service, they treated us well and were very personable! Overall a great spot with plenty of versatility in their menu, and quality to match it!

Tavern 180 is a go-to spot for us! I love their fun, creative drinks. Most recently I ordered the Tavern bubbles, and the addition of dry ice was a really cool touch. My boyfriend had the french dip, which is said was phenomenal. I had the thai chicken flatbread, which was also spot on. I've visited here for brunch previously, and I was really impressed with my meal at that time, as well. This is a solid spot, and I would pick it over nearby Pitch any day of the week!

Good location off 180th West Dodge St. We sat belly up at the bar to order Happy Hour drinks & flatbreads! They have a nice selection of different items at reasonable prices! We were greeted right away by the bartender & he was quick to take our orders. The bar wasn't completely full, so noise level was down compared to other times I've been here. I started with a refreshing Moscow Mule & Thai peanut chicken flatbread, which is my favorite because the sweet Thai sauce with the chicken is Amazing! They really know how to cook the flatbreads to perfection here! Service was quick & as always friendly. They came back to check on us so we never went without. Great place to meet a friend or have date night!

    Breakfast Burrito

I have heard a lot of things about this place so I had very high hopes but sadly it disappointed me... Service was not great, the waitress was just passing by every time she stopped by, and it felt like they took a long time to get our food. However, it was nice that we were able to get a table in 15 min instead of 30 min as they originally told us. The food was nothing out of this world, the burrito felt like something was missing, it didn't have enough flavor... The French toast was probably the better choice on this one. The mimosas on the other hand, were very good! I would come back here to get some drinks but would not recommend it if you are craving some good brunch food and service. I updated my review to one start because I was sick for the next couple of days and could not eat anything. I am assuming that the food had something that did not sit well with my stomached since it was the only thing I ate that day...

We stumbled upon Tavern 180 on Easter morning after staying at a nearby hotel, and were so happy when they had space for us without a reservation! Thank you Daija for your incredibly upbeat service and kindness, especially on a holiday! You blew us away with your happiness and excellent service! We (one of us) ordered the bottomless mimosas, bottomless brew (coffee) and the breakfast flatbread along with a eggs benedict and the amazing strawberry strudel. I loved how there were multiple choices for the juices of the bottomless mimosas and the serving size was huge, so you were never waiting long for a refill! The only awkward part about this place is getting in, and getting seated. We walked in the left door (as that is where it appears you should -- we watched other people do the same) and were confused about why the host stand was on the opposite side of the restaurant. Turns out we came in the wrong door, were led to the host stand and then all the way back to the door closest to where we walked in... sorta awkward welcome.

They definitely have/had some pretty high prices compared to other eateries in the area. I'm not sure if that is caused by cost of goods or location or what, but I think that did come into play when a lot of economic hardship is happening all over. Like I mentioned above, I DID like their food, but it definitely had to be a special occasion type of thing, due to the high prices. When we did go, I LOVED the Maryland Crab Dip. It reminded me of my favorite crab dip in the world, at the SweetWater Brewing Company in Atlanta. We also had the Green Bean Almandine that was on special last time we went and that was pretty good, but you have to be a green bean fan, for sure. I decided to try the sushi as my main dish last time, and had the Everything Crunch Maki, which consisted of cooked salmon, jalapeño, and cream cheese. It was pretty good, and had a little hint of spice to it from the jalapeño, which cut the heavy cream aspect. My husband had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon for his entree, and gave me a few bites. It was cooked well and the mushroom risotto below it was very flavorful and filling. The cute nautical ambiance and excellent service were always appreciated, so no complaints there either. I think if they had been in a different area with less expensive rent and cost of goods, I may have visited more often.

Most of the highlight was the various types of burgers and fries they had, so my partner and I got two kinds, and we both enjoyed our respective meals. I had the block burger, which was as good as I imagined it to be, with juicy patty cooked to medium and every ingredient needed to make a good burger. The poutine had a lot of beef gravy and cheese curds, which made the dish a comprehensive experience to consume, rather than just fries. The duck duck goose fries were amazing! The duck confit, cheese curds, mayo, gravy, and gooseberry gastrique combination worked super well on top of the fries, because they altogether basically made it a gourmet dish that I had to eat with a fork. Finally, the sloppy nick was seasoned very well, even if we got the vegan version, which used impossible meat instead of ground beef. It was still really great! Hope everyone who visits Omaha gets to try this spot! Their wall has quite a few articles that recognized them as a locally renowned burger joint, and I could see why. Since they can be busy, I would recommend people getting there earlier to secure a good table spot, if dining in.

Sometimes the specials do not hit for me, but that is not their fault. It is a seat yourself space, but I have never had any issues finding a spot, usually by the time you order, someone has left. Despite the space being crowded whenever I come by, they do a great job of keeping the tables cleared and clean. Service has always been top-notch for me.

The Drover, a review:…read more When you pull into the parking lot the outside of the place appears very unassuming. Once you walk-in, the modest decor gets even more humbling. It's a very old school, western, and rustic type of vibe. There's a sense of rugged individualism, resilience, and Western identity. Cowboys are a big part of the theme here, hence the brand name, The Drover. Various murals of impersonations of these vaqueros plaster the walls. The lounge area gives off old mafia movie feels, as you can picture how it could be filled with clouds of cigar smoke as mafioso Capos & soldiers belly-up to the dark bar sipping on their Scotch. Once the drinks start flowing and you get relaxed then the magic starts! You won't be disappointed in the Old Fashioned, or any other type of cocktail for that matter. The fresh baked bread comes out first with a significant portion of spread butter, which is absolutely delicious! Then you realize, that this place actually still has an old school salad bar. Like as soon as I seen the salad bar with all the fixings and the homemade Thousand Island dressing, I was hooked! Finding an open buffet style salad bar these days is as rare as finding a good woman who cooks and cleans. They're like unicorns. The Drover has several cuts of meat to select from. You honestly can't go wrong with the cut that you choose. They have seafood selections as well, just in case you want to get your Surf 'N Turf on. There's one thing that you can definitely say about this place, and that's the fact that it's a no-frills type of joint. They don't waste any time with any fluff. It's strictly meat & potatoes...literally. You won't find any bartenders here doing stupid bottle tricks and begging for clicks like they do out in Vegas. Instead you'll find Tony, who just keeps the glasses full with the concoctions that you wish to imbibe on. One of the female bartenders would fit right in at home in NYC as she drops an F-bomb or two. But, I'm no Karen, so I welcome the realness. She stated, "it's so fucking hot in here", as the bar fills up and the workers get slammed! Now onto the main course: I went with the 8oz Filet and the loaded baked potato. It was delicious! Simple, tasty, and loaded with flavor. They're famous for their secret "whiskey marinade" recipe. The baked potato comes out still wrapped in its foil, which will bring back memories of when your dad would cook them on an open flame charcoal grill. Did I mention the butter? I think I ate enough butter to kill a baby cow! And, I still couldn't get enough. Overall, this place is the epitome of Midwest Steakhouses. It gets right to the point and its customers will appreciate that! One guest told the bartender that he's not from Omaha, but every time he comes into town he comes directly to The Drover to eat dinner. He stated, "I've been coming here for 28 years". Later adding, "except for the years it was burnt down". Another female bartender quickly corrected him, "it was only shutdown for 9 months". Well, when your favorite restaurant is closed for any amount of time, "it felt like years", I added, as we all got a good laugh. As one old timer who came to sit at the bar said, "this is our favorite place". Well...old cowboy, I can see why. And, just like any Old Western movie, The Drover packs a serious punch. Pro tip: they open for dinner at 5:00pm, so get here early, unless you have Reservations of course. I got there at 4:55pm, no reservation, sat at the open bar, which is first come first serve and by 5:40 the place was packed! And, this was on a Wednesday.

This fit the bill so we walked over around 5pm one evening for an early dinner after spending the day exploring the zoo. When we arrived the place was pretty empty - think maybe two tables occupied, and the hostess asked us if we had a reservation. We did not, and honestly she seemed a bit put out for a bit. I kind of wondered if we were going to be able to eat in this empty restaurant, but alas she decided it was okay and we were seated. This is one of my pet peeves at restaurants. I know, I know, that there could have been a ton of business booked for later, but it's such a bad look to make such a big deal about reservations when the place is empty. Also - while it did start to fill it was by no means full by the time we left. At any rate, things perked up at that point and we all got seated, ordered drinks, food etc. and had a good time. The server was kind and thoughtful and the food was pretty tasty. I had the fish and chips and shared it with my husband as the entrees are a good size here. My six year old had the kids hamburger, though we did have a bit of a scare when the server said "your cheeseburger will be out soon!" we had a long wait on the kids meal and when she said cheeseburger I immediately said - "no cheese!" the menu item was described as a "hamburger" with no mention of cheese and our kid doesn't like cheese her burgers so that was a really close call. I sort of got the impression that server wasn't accustomed to kids, but when the burger came out it was right and even though she had to wait, my kiddo gave it two thumbs up. Overall this is a good pub style restaurant in Old Town. Nothing really to write home about, but they do have decent food and local beers which was all we really cared about after a long day at the zoo.

I am usually too full for dessert, but this time we shared the chocolate raspberry cheesecake and it was so good it disappeared before I could even get a picture. Definitely a place we keep coming back to.

My husband and I came here for a Friday night date and had such a great experience! We were able to…read moresnag a last-minute reservation, which was a nice surprise. This place really stands out. There's nothing else quite like it in the area, and we love how unique it feels with different dining areas. The service is consistently excellent, and the food quality never disappoints. We started with the salad bar and complimentary bread, which had a great variety of toppings and dressings to choose from. For my entrée, I ordered the steak kabobs, served over rice with mashed potatoes and the vegetable of the day (glazed carrots). My husband went with the 8oz filet, baked potato, and glazed carrots. We both loved our meals. The steak was definitely the highlight and cooked perfectly. The only small note was the carrots, they were a bit too sweet for our taste that night. But honestly, we came for the steak, and it absolutely delivered. We finished with the chocolate cake for dessert, and WOW. It was a huge slice and so delicious. We'll definitely be back!

Always love the ambience and romantic, low lit vibe of Brother Sebastian's! Perfect spot for a date…read morenight/special occasion. We went recently for our 19th wedding anniversary and upon walking in were greeted with a warm welcome and happy anniversary so that was nice. I did reserve a table in a certain room and when we got there they said all the tables were taken in that room so not sure what happened there, that was disappointing. Service was great....food was amazing - you have to try the prime rib it melts in your mouth along with the baked potato! Our meal came with a huge salad bar and we had the lemon cake for dessert / super yummy. Overall, can't go wrong with Brother Sebastian's!
