    Birria tacos and fries
    Tara E.

I liked Tavern 180 a lot. They have a nice variety in their menu and a lot of it is moderately priced. I got the birria tacos with fries and the tacos were tasty, if a little oily (pretty par for the course with birria tacos to be fair). The fries were amazing though, very crispy and salty. Our waitress checked up on us often and was very pleasant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, a nice spot to check out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very intimate ambiance in this place![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We both ordered cocktails and they were both amazing! The espresso martini was super smooth and the Tavern Bubbles had some fun dry ice action going on! My mom got the quesadillas and loved them! I got the Swiss mushroom chicken sandwich and it fell flat for me. No flavor in any bite which was sad. We also thought the fries were very small and mostly air but the thick ones were great dipped in ranch! The menu is fancy but a little small so I suggest looking ahead! [[HIGHLIGHT]]But this place would be great for a date night![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Ice cream battered French toast

One of the best cinnamon rolls in Omaha. The cream cheese frosting has a hint of lemon! The sunrise waffle was loaded with fresh fruit! Also comes with a side. The ice cream battered French toast was also a hit. I had the T180 classic. Although the eggs were fluffy and the potatoes chunky and cooked well the fresh vegetables had a propane taste that made them inedible and infused that odd taste with everything it touched. I've had them before with dinner and have not had this taste before. Note to self order the bacon next time instead of the veggies with breakfast. To their credit they did deduct $5 off the meal which was appreciated.

We had a good meal at Tavern 180 which we ended up at because I needed to use a gift card. Service was nice and the place was moderately busy, but I wasn't super excited about the food though it was definitely OK and just might not have been to my particular taste. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Kids definitely seemed to like it just fine and there was a cool vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ultimately, I think the thing I like the most was the seafood bisque.

Tavern 180 is a staple for us and frequently stop for good food and service. The French dip is a great sandwich as is the Wagyu burger! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Comfortable atmosphere which can get a bit loud on a busy day but that is to be expected.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came for the brunch menu...on a Saturday late morning. We had a large party and a reservation so we were sat in the "party room" area and it wasn't super busy so we had the space to ourselves. I can see this being a good spot for a small gathering of sorts. Server was okay, nothing stood out just the normal expectation of a waitstaff. So, bottomless mimosas AND coffee...I went with the caramel coffee (hot) and Starbies who? No, because why was it the best coffee (in a restaurant) that I've had. There were a variety of drinks and everyone liked them, but the bartender did seem to have a heavy pour, which might be sweet on a Friday night, but a little much for bunch. The food was decent, I had French toast with a side of bacon and french fries. YES, fries...that's my business. It was good, bacon was cooked nicely and the French toast was a nice thick brioche that was fluffy and filling. The serving size was good for the price point and I wouldn't mind going beck to try the dinner menu, BUT i'm not jumping at the opportunity if you get what I mean. It was okay and a good option if you are in the area already, but not drive out of your way type option. Side note...the salad pictured is to show portion sizes. I didn't actually eat that...but the person who did said it was good and they enjoyed it.

I've been here a lot and love this place. Most every dish I've tried is amazing but I especially like their espresso martini, and their cinnamon roll which actually comes with enough frosting! My work party was held in the back room and we have great food and very friendly service, they treated us well and were very personable! Overall a great spot with plenty of versatility in their menu, and quality to match it!

Tavern 180 is a go-to spot for us! I love their fun, creative drinks. Most recently I ordered the Tavern bubbles, and the addition of dry ice was a really cool touch. My boyfriend had the french dip, which is said was phenomenal. I had the thai chicken flatbread, which was also spot on. I've visited here for brunch previously, and I was really impressed with my meal at that time, as well. This is a solid spot, and I would pick it over nearby Pitch any day of the week!

I have heard a lot of things about this place so I had very high hopes but sadly it disappointed me... Service was not great, the waitress was just passing by every time she stopped by, and it felt like they took a long time to get our food. However, it was nice that we were able to get a table in 15 min instead of 30 min as they originally told us. The food was nothing out of this world, the burrito felt like something was missing, it didn't have enough flavor... The French toast was probably the better choice on this one. The mimosas on the other hand, were very good! I would come back here to get some drinks but would not recommend it if you are craving some good brunch food and service. I updated my review to one start because I was sick for the next couple of days and could not eat anything. I am assuming that the food had something that did not sit well with my stomached since it was the only thing I ate that day...

We stumbled upon Tavern 180 on Easter morning after staying at a nearby hotel, and were so happy when they had space for us without a reservation! Thank you Daija for your incredibly upbeat service and kindness, especially on a holiday! You blew us away with your happiness and excellent service! We (one of us) ordered the bottomless mimosas, bottomless brew (coffee) and the breakfast flatbread along with a eggs benedict and the amazing strawberry strudel. I loved how there were multiple choices for the juices of the bottomless mimosas and the serving size was huge, so you were never waiting long for a refill! The only awkward part about this place is getting in, and getting seated. We walked in the left door (as that is where it appears you should -- we watched other people do the same) and were confused about why the host stand was on the opposite side of the restaurant. Turns out we came in the wrong door, were led to the host stand and then all the way back to the door closest to where we walked in... sorta awkward welcome.

Decided to stop in on Easter Sunday and they were accepting reservations only but managed to snag a seat at the bar. Service was a little slow, I thought it was a bit bizarre, considering the restaurant didn't look that full. Nonetheless, the service, although slow, was very welcoming. They piled my waffle high with plenty of fruit and I picked the potatoes as my side order. Now, you can NEVER go wrong with a waffle, there is just absolutely no way this can be messed up. And it wasn't! Was very nice and fluffy. The potatoes were pretty good, had a different after taste to them but I was still content. Everything filled me up and I still had plenty of food leftover. Now, I am not from Omaha but if I were back in town, I'd come back here to try their lunch/dinner options!

Plank has, unfortunately, announced they will be closing at the end of 2025, and while I did enjoy…read moresome of their food offerings, I can't say I'm super surprised. They definitely have/had some pretty high prices compared to other eateries in the area. I'm not sure if that is caused by cost of goods or location or what, but I think that did come into play when a lot of economic hardship is happening all over. Like I mentioned above, I DID like their food, but it definitely had to be a special occasion type of thing, due to the high prices. When we did go, I LOVED the Maryland Crab Dip. It reminded me of my favorite crab dip in the world, at the SweetWater Brewing Company in Atlanta. We also had the Green Bean Almandine that was on special last time we went and that was pretty good, but you have to be a green bean fan, for sure. I decided to try the sushi as my main dish last time, and had the Everything Crunch Maki, which consisted of cooked salmon, jalapeño, and cream cheese. It was pretty good, and had a little hint of spice to it from the jalapeño, which cut the heavy cream aspect. My husband had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon for his entree, and gave me a few bites. It was cooked well and the mushroom risotto below it was very flavorful and filling. The cute nautical ambiance and excellent service were always appreciated, so no complaints there either. I think if they had been in a different area with less expensive rent and cost of goods, I may have visited more often.

This spot was right by the hotel in Old Market, and we were early enough to get right in and grab a nice table (during happy hour, no less). The vibes are clean, nautical without being cheesy, and bright. The service was equally bright and helpful, and everything was flowing. On a super hot day, I had a Tom Collin's that was great and refreshing. Our group shared calamari with a top tier dipping sauce, an "aji verde" sauce that was new to me but I would buy it by the pint. We also shared their truffle fries and the side of mustard aioli was great as well. Best fries in a while. For my main, I got the blackened Mississippi catfish that was served over dirty rice, green beans, tomatoes, and a crawfish beurre blanc. It was as good as it sounds, I ate every bite on the plate. Okay, so let's recap: Amazing location? Check. Great service? Check. Good specials/happy hour? Check. Great food? Major check. Hard to top, I'll go here everytime I'm in the area and it was hard not to go back twice.

Honestly, we weren't that... impressed, but we gave it a valiant go on both meals chosen! Kinda bummed there wasn't a drink menu with cocktails, but they had a great selection of wine ranging from $100-$500 a bottle. So, we stuck with water. Bread and creamy butter was dropped off while we waited and who can't resist a warm roll? Got the Trail Boss Prime Rib, with salad bar, and baked potato side was requested as medium. The au ju lacked flavor, and only lasted a few bites before not used at all. The baked potato was delish though! Prime rib was very tender, a lot of cap which was nice, but it was just sorta.. average. I snagged their Teriyaki Tenderloin Kabob on a bed of wild rice, salad bar, and asparagus side (probably the first restaurant I've seen that's offered asparagus as an actual side), requested well done. By all accounts it does look a bit charred, but when the veggies were pulled apart, they were warm and tender and paired well with the teriyaki and rice. That rice was delish! Asparagus didn't blow any air up my skirt unfortunately, because I really wanted it to blow my mind. I felt like we left a lot of food on our plates, but that could've just been how it was. We just felt... underwhelmed and wasn't picking up on all the hype.

Friendly service, comfy setting, and oh yeah - the food! Unfortunately for me, there is too much seafood on the menu but there's always something. People rave about the seafood dishes so I'll trust them and say it must be good. I'm just not into it. On this visit, we each ordered a cocktail. I decided to try the lemon martini which I never order and OH MY GOODNESS. It was awesome! They nailed it. The limoncello brought it home. My dining partner had a dirty martini and was satisfied as well. We enjoyed a Spezia salad which featured mixed greens, prosciutto, tomato, Kalamata olives, and a house vinaigrette. It all combined so well. The lettuce was wonderfully fresh, no need to pick out rotting leaves like some places. The dressing was simply light and delish. We shared a plate of spaghetti. You get several options to add to it. The grilled spicy Italian sausage sounded good. I'm not sure which was better. The sausage or the marinara sauce. Both were soooooo good!! The sausage was truly grilled and spicy and just amazing, and it was not greasy either. The marinara sauce challenged my own that I make at home. We devoured that plate of spaghetti which was big enough to share. I forgot to take a picture as it was served so I am sharing a tight shot of half the order after we divided it.

Spezia, you let me down!…read more Our waiter struggled to keep up with the dinner rush. We arrived for our reservation and were seated at 6:40 where we weren't greeted by our waiter for quite awhile. It took a long time to get our drinks and I had to ask for bread so we decided to skip appetizers and go straight to our entree. When ordering the entree our waiter said "and which salad would you like?" And then listed the salad options. Normally when ordering a main and the waiter says which salad do you want that's because the salad comes with the meal. Nope. We were charged $11 per salad that we didn't even really want. The salads were your average side salad, but thankfully had good dressings. We hadn't brought up salads, the waiter did when we ordered our entree. So we were disappointed to have $20+ in salads that we didn't request until the waiter offered them. Our salads were finished for at least 15 minutes before our main entree came out at about 7:30, nearly an hour after we had been seated. My shrimp scampi was good, the broccolini was a touch under cooked but the flavors were still good, and the shrimp was surprisingly large in size and cooked exactly how it should be. Had we been served quicker and not offered things that didn't come with our meal when ordering our meal we may have been happier, hard to say. The table next to us was sat about 10 minute after us and had a different waitress. They received their entire meal (including bread & apps) and left before we were offered dessert. The food is good, I won't discredit that at all. But when coming to a restaurant like this you are expecting a level of service that we just didn't get. I'm sure we'll try again in the future and if service is better I will definitely update my review but for now, this was a let down of a birthday dinner.

This was a business dinner with colleagues. We started at the bar and the bartender was great. Seating is comfy and the décor is very nice. The food offered there is the full menu, so we started with some onion rings to nosh on while drinking. Those onion rings were very interesting, with a thicker dough-style breading, they were very good. Next was to sit down for dinner and I apologize for forgetting our server's name, but he's been there about 15 years and he was great! Perfect amount of attention to our party, great pace, great suggestions too. The menu was tough, as there were several options, so I asked him to choose for me - he did a nice job. Hoped I didn't get sick. Unpleasant texture. Not mixed tableside, we mixed the raw egg into the dish ourselves. Three steaks were severely undercooked. My steak (bone in filet special) was MR, I asked for MW. It tasted as if it was marinated low quality beef, chewy, difficult to cut, (yes, this filet was not easy to cut with a quality steak knife), odd texture. colleagues steak was basically raw (appeared bloody red)--he'd requested MR, sent it back to kitchen twice! Another colleagues steak was very Rare. Steaks were really disappointing as was the preparation. Our party of five was surprised when the steak was returned still undercooked. Considering the quality of my bone in filet steak and the undercooked steaks, I won't return to this location. There's a kitchen issue that needs to be resolved and the manager when that steak was recooked for second time should have observed it was still very rare when he delivered it because our table of five all did. Less than stellar experience due to the subpar beef tartare and steaks.

We all ordered at different temperatures including medium well and they all came out rare or just uneven. It was good flavor and it wasn't too chewy so we all just ate it with no complaints!
