    Purple Potato Enchiladas
    Katie N.

My husband and I were so excited to hear of a new restaurant opening in Gretna that is NOT a chain! We had a two week old newborn, so we opted to get takeout from Marrow. He had the short rib lasagna, and I tried the purple potato enchiladas. Both meals had really large portion sizes, which is always appreciated. My husband really liked his meal and was impressed with how much short rib was included. My purple potato enchiladas were good, not great. They didn't had as much flavor as I was hoping for. We definitely plan to visit again, hopefully in person next time. I'd really like to try their brunch menu!

Lemon butter cake with açaí sorbet

Always excited to see more restaurants opening up in southwest Omaha! We did a full course--starter, entrées, and dessert. To start, we had the bone marrow. The presentation was fun, and the bread that came with it was spectacular. The entrées were a little less impressive. The prime rib didn't have much of a crust, and my husband's ribeye was a bit too rare for what was ordered as medium rare. The mac and cheese had a Cajun flavor I personally didn't care for, though my husband enjoyed it. Dessert was good--the butter cake with lemon curd was delicious, and the açaí sorbet was refreshing. Service was wonderful. Our waitress was brand new and still learning, but there were plenty of staff checking in, which made for a good experience. It is on the pricier side, but I wish them success and would be interested in coming back to try their brunch menu.

Risotto with 1/2 shrimp Spanish chorizo... don't let the picture fool you because it's a hefty portion worth every dollar

Another visit to Marrow! Love having great food and specialty cocktails out here in Gretna. Hubby and I love to try something new every visit and have never been disappointed ... POTATO PANCAKE was amazing! Hubby dove into it before I could get the picture and I don't blame him. For dinner we shared the risotto (HUGE potion with 1/2 pound of shrimp and Spanish Chorizo) I would recommend this as a share dish, for sure. Amery was our bartender and gave excellent and friendly service. I always love picking mixologist ideas for my own inspiration. We are very much so bar people so I can't speak to their table side service. See ya soon!

We went there for 'social hour,' and we enjoyed the brussels sprouts and the artichoke dip along with smoked old-fashioned and bread pudding! All were wonderful!

We ate lunch at Marrow today. A great addition to the Gretna food scene. An upscale restaurant with a variety of options. We will definitely return to try more. Loved what we ate - Flying noodles, luncheon steak and crispy chicken sandwich

Wonderful service & the food was top notch! I wish this place success and many years of business as they just opened. The manager and our waitress were awesome! The food was beyond words, fantastic, every entree our table ordered was delicious and timed perfect. Thank you!

Terrible meal. Prime rib was raw and baked potato was hard and dried out. Will not be back. Were also sat by the bathroom.

We said first available seats, which ended up being at the end of the bar. More about that later... I ordered the vegan standard and hubs ordered the banana bread French toast. The server was friendly and the food came out in a timely manner, considering the place was packed. Regarding the vegan standard, it seems they have cut back on the amount of tofu scramble and increased the amount of hashbrowns, which was a little bit disappointing. As usual it was very tasty though! I tried a bite of the hubs French toast and it was VERY unique and tasty! II will be getting that next time. I was disappointed to hear that they haven't brought back the vegan biscuits and gravy, but maybe once again they will! So the food was great but our experience, not so much, based on where we were sitting. I feel like they should not even use the last spot at the bar to seat a patron. Right next to where I was sitting is the place they bring the clean silverware to dry it off, then they would toss it into the silverware holder. The noise was very annoying and they did nothing to try to even be quiet about it. The other thing about that location is the register is pretty much right in your face, like 15 inches directly in front of me and someone was pretty much there the whole time. Other areas of the bar wouldn't be quite so bad, but next time we will wait longer to get a table or sit at the bar top that looks outside instead of at all the workers doing their thing and talking to each other. Other than the location of where we sat this visit, this is still one of our top spots for a yummy vegan breakfast, and we will be back!

Our waitress was polite but mostly absent, no energy and was sitting chatting with coworkers for an extended period of time without checking on us. She didn't come to refill our drinks until all of us had finished eating and we were waiting on our check, so at that point refill wasn't really needed because we were leaving. The food was all clean ingredients but with an unfortunately serious lack of any flavor. I ordered the Avocado Toast which was supposed to have a Chipotle Mayo, couldn't taste it or find it, bread was cold and didn't taste like it was remotely toasted. No seasoning on any part of the dish which was underwhelming. Definitely not worth buying this when this could be made easily at home and taste the exact same, if not better. There are other things on the menu I'd be interested in trying so if I do have a chance to try this place again and have a different experience I will absolutely update my review. This isn't a bad establishment by any means but definitely room for improvement.

The service was excellent and our server was attentive. Went there for their fried chicken which was highly recommended but was not a fan. The chicken is under seasoned and dry. Even with the dipping sauce it needed more flavor. Didn't even take a picture because it wasn't that good looking either. It was underwhelming to say the least. However, the biscuits were DELICIOUS. Crisp and amazing with butter and jam. We ordered the fried green tomatoes as well which were tasty and crunchy, they came with tasty goat cheese and some sauce, while I do wish there was a bit more sauce it was still a great choice. The Mimosa flight was good but it wasn't anything special, I do wish for the cost that there was a bit more going on or even bigger portions. Overall good place to go with a good variety of options.

The chai was house made and it was SO great, like Christmas in a mug, just phenomenal. The food is different from other breakfast spots around Omaha. The croque miss was the breakfast sandwich special and it blew all other sandwiches out of the water. Thick bread, Dijon mustard, ham, and topped with 2 eggs! WOWOWOWOWOOWOW!! After a couple of minutes, I went back up to the counter and asked if they had already started making it, because I wanted to change my order. The kitchen was open, so I said to the cook, "Don't worry about it if you've already started. I know my indecision can impact people, and I don't want to be a problem." He looked at me and said, "No, it's totally fine. Would you like some veggies on the side?" "Yes, that would be amazing," I said, and walked back to my table... and burst into tears. It wasn't just what he said. It was the kind energy in his eyes. I felt someone who took pride in what he was making, and who genuinely wanted people to be happy. I found myself asking, why am I crying? Because in a world where so many people in power feel disconnected, where corporations can make us feel like numbers, being genuinely cared for in a small café reminded me how much I love humans. Most people have love in their hearts and are trying to share it in their own small ways. As the world cracks, these simple things are more meaningful than ever.
