Cascio's deserves more recognition as one of the premier steakhouses in Omaha. The steaks are top notch, and the waiting staff are always extremely pleasant. The venue is nice and open without feeling crowded or too loud. It was quite a drive but well worth it!

My family and I wanted to change it up this year for Thanksgiving so we decided to go out and try Cascio's as it's practically a staple in the Omaha area. We had a reservation so we walk in and were immediately seated. It was Thanksgiving, and it was pretty busy so it took a couple minutes for our waitress to take our drink orders, which was completely fine. It's kind of like an old school steakhouse with the dim lighting, which was cool. They also have a indoor fire pit thing that would have been awesome to sit next to. Maybe next time! We gave our drink orders, received our drinks, and then gave our food order. I ordered the Cascio's Sweet Old Fashioned, which was really good. For food, I ordered the Ribeye with fries and it was one of the most tender steaks I've ever had. It was seriously awesome. Overall, this place was great and I can't wait to go back.

Came here for my birthday dinner. Steak was delicious and cooked perfectly. Not a huge fan of the sauce they have on the pasta but it was still pretty good. Also got a free dessert which was tasty.

This is hands down the best family restaurant I've ever been to. We were having a rough moment--my daughter was having a full-on meltdown--and the staff went above and beyond. They kindly invited us to sit in a separate room with a TV to help her calm down, and even brought out TOYS for her. I was honestly blown away by how thoughtful and welcoming they were. On top of the amazing hospitality, the food was incredible. Every dish was full of flavor, fresh, and beautifully presented. You can really tell they care about both the food and the people who walk through their doors. The vibe here is so warm and inviting--it felt like we were being taken care of by family. If you're a parent, especially, do yourself a favor and check this place out. I can't wait to come back. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

If you came here looking for pizza... you're going to be disappointed. Wife and I went to Cascio's for our anniversary dinner and what initially drew us was the amount of food you get for the price point! No kidding, with each steak you get: - a salad - a side of fries or baked potato - your steak - a free coffee or tea if you'd like it - and another side of either spaghetti or mostaccioli Walking in from the parking lot, kinda feels like you might be walking in on a mob deal. The place is old timey, kinda like it's stuck in the 90's but maybe on purpose? We were seated right away and our waitress was sweet. It did catch me off guard though when she walked up, pulled out her notepad, and just looked at us without saying anything. Not a big deal though, was actually pretty funny. We ordered the toasted raviolis, I got the NY strip with a baked potato, and my wife got the filet mignon with fries. We also both got the mostaccioli. So let's get into the food: Toasted Ravs: fried to perfection, but lacking much filling and overall flavor. I also wasn't a huge fan of the pasta sauce for dipping. Very deep tomato flavor (almost like tomato soup but much thicker) so if that's your thing you'd love it! 5.9/10 Salads: iceberg lettuce, 1 baby carrot, 3 banana pepper rings, 2 tomatoes, 2 black olives, and a lot of dressing. Not bad just, yuh know, it was a salad... 3.8/10 Steak: Cooked to perfection (I got mine med/well). They were super juicy and I was SHOCKED how tender the strip steak was. Only thing is they were lacking just a bit on seasoning, especially salt and pepper, but not a huge deal. 8.7/10 Mostaccioli: I aim to not be an a-hole but the pasta was not good. Overcooked, mushy noodles, and I still just couldn't get past the sauce. For a simple bowl of noodles and sauce I was not a fan, personally. 2.9/10 All in all, the main thing was the main thing. The steaks were really good. So if you're looking for a good steak and a lot of other okay food that comes with it for a solid price, this is your spot. Bonus points: I overheard the owner speaking with an upset customer on the phone and he was handling the lady's frustration with a ton of professionalism and grace.

Went here on a date night to fulfill our Lenten obligations. I always love walking into cascios and admiring the ambiance of the inside. It sort of teleports you to an old steakhouse in the best way possible. The service is always top notch when you arrive. The food is something that is craveable. When you come in, they always start you off with warm bread. I ordered the fettuccini with shrimp and they start you off with a salad. I think it might have been the freshest salad I have had. The noodles in my entree were cooked nicely. The shrimp were HUGE. The sauce was slightly more than I would like but was very good. Ordered the lemon drop cheesecake for desert. They sprinkled some sugar on the top was very good. I wish I had taken a little home because it's definitely a lot taste wise to have all in one sitting. I love coming to Cascios and can't wait to go back.

From large lit up sign outside to inside decor gives you the old school Italian feel. It was very easy to make a reservation and the staff was prompt in sitting us down and taking our order once we walked in Entrees came with a salad, get their Italian dressing! We ordered their steak and chicken piccata. Steak was cooked well, could have been seasoned a bit better. The chicken was very good, unfortunately the pasta and sauce that came with it tasted like I heated it up at my home with a microwave. Dry. Tiramisu was made very well and tasted great! All in all it wasn't a bad experience and we have recommended this to friends to try out. Wouldn't rush to go back ourselves

I had never been to Cascio's Steakhouse, so wanted to try them for Valentine's Day, as I knew they'd been around forever so must be excellent. We had a nice meal, but if I went back again, I would go on a non-busy night like Valentine's Day. We had a reservation and when we arrived, the ambiance of the main dining room was pretty nice, if a little bit dated. But with a steakhouse, that's sort of the charm, keeping the classic style. However, we were led through the main dining area to the overflow area that was set up. It was a large plain white room with a bunch of tables in it. I think it may be for events and weddings, where people bring their own decor, but there was no decor or ambiance for this day. With the busyness of the holiday happening, they also had a pared down menu with a handful of things to choose from (not the full menu). Looking on their menu online, I wanted to try the breaded cauliflower and the lobster, but neither were on the Valentine's Day menu. Our server was great, and she was killing it with all the tables in this overflow area that she was handling. Kudos to her for handling it all under pressure and still being kind and pleasant. She first brought out complimentary hot breadsticks with pats of butter, and those were tasty, because I'm a starch lover. We started our order with the toasted raviolis, which were my favorite part of the meal. I love a good fried ravioli with a good marinara sauce, and this hit the spot for that craving. Entree-wise I chose the Atlantic Salmon from the choices on the smaller menu, as it was the closest to what I was wanting. It came with a little cup of tartar sauce and one of a sauce that was similar to the sweet chili sauce you find on sushi at some places. The salmon wasn't out of this world fantastic. It was pretty large, which can be good, but in this case, it was a little dry and overcooked. The sauces that came with it helped to moisture it up, though. My entree came with a baked potato (or you can choose fries), a side salad, and mostaccioli. The potato was good, and came with a little bowl of butter and sour cream. I chose Dorothy Lynch for my salad, because I hadn't had that dressing in decades and wanted to try it again (loved it). The mostaccioli was fine, but it's just noodles with red sauce so a little blah. My husband chose the 14 oz Ribeye, and he said it was pretty tasty, but a little chewy in some spots. He also got a baked potato with the same toppings, and the same mostaccioli. We both ordered desserts, and those were hit or miss. We got the spumone, which was a colorful gelato that was delicious. And we got my favorite, tiramisu, as the other dessert. It was pretty tasty, but it actually came half frozen still. Sad. Overall, there were a few hiccups here and there (the ambiance, frozen items, etc) and a few bright spots (our server, the ravioli). I would say you can check Cascio's out for yourself to see if you love it, but if I went back, I would only go when the full menu is available.

Cascio's is a Little Italy classic. It's not going to be a full service steakhouse like many places in Omaha, but it's casual atmosphere and great food make it worth it. Don't expect fancy plating or seafood towers. But amazing nonetheless.

They definitely have/had some pretty high prices compared to other eateries in the area. I'm not sure if that is caused by cost of goods or location or what, but I think that did come into play when a lot of economic hardship is happening all over. Like I mentioned above, I DID like their food, but it definitely had to be a special occasion type of thing, due to the high prices. When we did go, I LOVED the Maryland Crab Dip. It reminded me of my favorite crab dip in the world, at the SweetWater Brewing Company in Atlanta. We also had the Green Bean Almandine that was on special last time we went and that was pretty good, but you have to be a green bean fan, for sure. I decided to try the sushi as my main dish last time, and had the Everything Crunch Maki, which consisted of cooked salmon, jalapeño, and cream cheese. It was pretty good, and had a little hint of spice to it from the jalapeño, which cut the heavy cream aspect. My husband had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon for his entree, and gave me a few bites. It was cooked well and the mushroom risotto below it was very flavorful and filling. The cute nautical ambiance and excellent service were always appreciated, so no complaints there either. I think if they had been in a different area with less expensive rent and cost of goods, I may have visited more often.

Most of the highlight was the various types of burgers and fries they had, so my partner and I got two kinds, and we both enjoyed our respective meals. I had the block burger, which was as good as I imagined it to be, with juicy patty cooked to medium and every ingredient needed to make a good burger. The poutine had a lot of beef gravy and cheese curds, which made the dish a comprehensive experience to consume, rather than just fries. The duck duck goose fries were amazing! The duck confit, cheese curds, mayo, gravy, and gooseberry gastrique combination worked super well on top of the fries, because they altogether basically made it a gourmet dish that I had to eat with a fork. Finally, the sloppy nick was seasoned very well, even if we got the vegan version, which used impossible meat instead of ground beef. It was still really great! Hope everyone who visits Omaha gets to try this spot! Their wall has quite a few articles that recognized them as a locally renowned burger joint, and I could see why. The Drover, a review:…read more When you pull into the parking lot the outside of the place appears very unassuming. Once you walk-in, the modest decor gets even more humbling. It's a very old school, western, and rustic type of vibe. There's a sense of rugged individualism, resilience, and Western identity. Cowboys are a big part of the theme here, hence the brand name, The Drover. Various murals of impersonations of these vaqueros plaster the walls. The lounge area gives off old mafia movie feels, as you can picture how it could be filled with clouds of cigar smoke as mafioso Capos & soldiers belly-up to the dark bar sipping on their Scotch. Once the drinks start flowing and you get relaxed then the magic starts! You won't be disappointed in the Old Fashioned, or any other type of cocktail for that matter. The fresh baked bread comes out first with a significant portion of spread butter, which is absolutely delicious! Then you realize, that this place actually still has an old school salad bar. Like as soon as I seen the salad bar with all the fixings and the homemade Thousand Island dressing, I was hooked! Finding an open buffet style salad bar these days is as rare as finding a good woman who cooks and cleans. They're like unicorns. The Drover has several cuts of meat to select from. You honestly can't go wrong with the cut that you choose. They have seafood selections as well, just in case you want to get your Surf 'N Turf on. There's one thing that you can definitely say about this place, and that's the fact that it's a no-frills type of joint. They don't waste any time with any fluff. It's strictly meat & potatoes...literally. You won't find any bartenders here doing stupid bottle tricks and begging for clicks like they do out in Vegas. Instead you'll find Tony, who just keeps the glasses full with the concoctions that you wish to imbibe on. One of the female bartenders would fit right in at home in NYC as she drops an F-bomb or two. But, I'm no Karen, so I welcome the realness. She stated, "it's so fucking hot in here", as the bar fills up and the workers get slammed! Now onto the main course: I went with the 8oz Filet and the loaded baked potato. It was delicious! Simple, tasty, and loaded with flavor. They're famous for their secret "whiskey marinade" recipe. The baked potato comes out still wrapped in its foil, which will bring back memories of when your dad would cook them on an open flame charcoal grill. Did I mention the butter? I think I ate enough butter to kill a baby cow! And, I still couldn't get enough. Overall, this place is the epitome of Midwest Steakhouses. It gets right to the point and its customers will appreciate that! One guest told the bartender that he's not from Omaha, but every time he comes into town he comes directly to The Drover to eat dinner. He stated, "I've been coming here for 28 years". Later adding, "except for the years it was burnt down". Another female bartender quickly corrected him, "it was only shutdown for 9 months". Well, when your favorite restaurant is closed for any amount of time, "it felt like years", I added, as we all got a good laugh. As one old timer who came to sit at the bar said, "this is our favorite place". Well...old cowboy, I can see why. And, just like any Old Western movie, The Drover packs a serious punch. Pro tip: they open for dinner at 5:00pm, so get here early, unless you have Reservations of course. I got there at 4:55pm, no reservation, sat at the open bar, which is first come first serve and by 5:40 the place was packed! And, this was on a Wednesday.

The steak was cooked perfectly! We were sat right upfront to over look the old market and it was clean and I loved the home feel of the space, very casual and comfortable. Our server (ugh, can't remember his name) was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. The ONLY thing that was a downside is that on yelp it says the restaurant is pet friendly and that is not the case. This fit the bill so we walked over around 5pm one evening for an early dinner after spending the day exploring the zoo. When we arrived the place was pretty empty - think maybe two tables occupied, and the hostess asked us if we had a reservation. We did not, and honestly she seemed a bit put out for a bit. I kind of wondered if we were going to be able to eat in this empty restaurant, but alas she decided it was okay and we were seated. This is one of my pet peeves at restaurants. I know, I know, that there could have been a ton of business booked for later, but it's such a bad look to make such a big deal about reservations when the place is empty. Also - while it did start to fill it was by no means full by the time we left. At any rate, things perked up at that point and we all got seated, ordered drinks, food etc. and had a good time. The server was kind and thoughtful and the food was pretty tasty. I had the fish and chips and shared it with my husband as the entrees are a good size here. My six year old had the kids hamburger, though we did have a bit of a scare when the server said "your cheeseburger will be out soon!" we had a long wait on the kids meal and when she said cheeseburger I immediately said - "no cheese!" the menu item was described as a "hamburger" with no mention of cheese and our kid doesn't like cheese her burgers so that was a really close call. I sort of got the impression that server wasn't accustomed to kids, but when the burger came out it was right and even though she had to wait, my kiddo gave it two thumbs up. Overall this is a good pub style restaurant in Old Town. Nothing really to write home about, but they do have decent food and local beers which was all we really cared about after a long day at the zoo.

There's nothing else quite like it in the area, and we love how unique it feels with different dining areas. The service is consistently excellent, and the food quality never disappoints. We started with the salad bar and complimentary bread, which had a great variety of toppings and dressings to choose from. For my entrée, I ordered the steak kabobs, served over rice with mashed potatoes and the vegetable of the day (glazed carrots). My husband went with the 8oz filet, baked potato, and glazed carrots. We both loved our meals. The steak was definitely the highlight and cooked perfectly. The only small note was the carrots, they were a bit too sweet for our taste that night. But honestly, we came for the steak, and it absolutely delivered. We finished with the chocolate cake for dessert, and WOW. It was a huge slice and so delicious. We'll definitely be back!

We went recently for our 19th wedding anniversary and upon walking in were greeted with a warm welcome and happy anniversary so that was nice. I did reserve a table in a certain room and when we got there they said all the tables were taken in that room so not sure what happened there, that was disappointing. Service was great....food was amazing - you have to try the prime rib it melts in your mouth along with the baked potato! Our meal came with a huge salad bar and we had the lemon cake for dessert / super yummy. Overall, can't go wrong with Brother Sebastian's!
