Has been many years since we were here. Was really just looking for a good meatless marinara sauce, and theirs sounded good on the menu! The service was great for a busy Friday night. Started with the fried ravioli. Definitely never had fried ravioli like this. Was not really breaded just somehow had a crispy ravioli shell around the cheese which I actually enjoyed. Loved their house Italian salad dressing on my salad. I ordered the basic marinara sauce with spaghetti. Marinara did not taste anything as I was expecting. Was fairly bland and could not taste any garlic. Almost had a taste to it That reminded me of a certain popular canned spaghetti. Strange. My dining partner had the Gnocchi with bacon cream sauce. Was not the sauce she was anticipating either. But she said it was OK. As was mine. Was really excited to have the tableside banana fosters as this is my all-time favorite dessert in the world and it's rare to find it anymore. It was fun to watch him prepare it although that's not necessary. I don't even care if it's made in the kitchen and then brought out to me! Good amount of ratio of bananas to sauce. While it had a good taste the downfall is it became gummy rather quickly once poured on the ice cream. The sauce became quite chewy. Didn't stop me from eating more than I thought that I would! Just don't think I would order it there again. Ambience was nice a bit loud, but that didn't really bother me. Again great service.

I recently enjoyed an intimate birthday celebration for a friend here. We had a 7pm reservation on a saturday night, and we're promptly sat. It is a small space, but again, felt very intimate. We started with 2 orders of bruchetta, and all of us enjoy glasses of pellegrino. Our server was handling our table, and a table in another room so she was in and out. We ordered our dinners, all coming with soup and salad. I really liked the broth of the belly button soup. Then came the bread, and then more carbs, the pasta! I got the combo, which includes 4 different pastas. I wish i liked it. I really only cared for the tortellin. My husband and our friend both got the prime rib, it was cooked to perfection!! Very tender. The birthday girl ordered the pasta with the chicken skewer - that is what I will get next time, it was SO good!! Our table neighbors ordered dessert, and we watched the bananas fosters prepared at the table, and we all insisted we must get it. we ordered 2 tiramisus, and 2 bananas foster, it was like dinner and a show. Frankie prepare it perfectly. I took some of the ice cream and put it in my post dinner coffee like an affogato and it was divine. Overall, an expensive, but very hearty dinner with great service.

Finally made it to pasta amore and had a great meal. The chicken Parmesan was delicious and I appreciated how every meal came with a soup or salad, specially for the cold weather. If you are going here, you need a reservation, I had a reservation and still had to wait for my table and was put in a very uncomfortable table, which was next to were everyone was waiting for their tables. The service was great and super fast. I will definitely be coming back and ensure I get a better table next time to have a better experience.

We were lucky to dine in. It was Valentines Eve and they were booked. However, there were two small tables in the small bar area or seats at the bar. We chose a small table with a bench and it was perfect. Only two of us so we fit in the space perfectly and it felt cozy and warm - I actually liked sitting there! The bread and salad was served first. The bread was very good, different than any other, it wasn't just "bread", kind of crispy on the edges. The salad was good too. We both had pasta Alfredo. He had with shrimp, they were big. I had with steak bites and there was a lot of meat perfectly cooked/grilled! The steak tasted like a summer day of grilling! The bar tender was busy but took good care of us. Took desert to go, Lemon Ricotta Cheesecake!!! Delicious!

Shrimp scampi

It's a very small, intimate restaurant. There was a lot of congestion getting in the door and to the hostess stand which felt very awkward. Our waiter was nice enough, it took a little longer than I'd expect to order our first round of drinks and apps. The bruschetta was amazing! The old fashioned was good, but a little sweet for my liking. The pasta that accompanied the shrimp scampi was super bland. There were also a side of vegetable with this, which were just coated in oil, ugh... wouldn't recommend. My friend ordered the pasta with white sauce and it was the weirdest thing, it was sweet? She could barely eat it. Expensive and disappointing overall. I won't be back.

Everything was fine. Food was meh. Nothing stood out or was worth talking about. Ravioli was undercooked. Generally an awkward experience. Maybe would have been better if we ordered wine . We've been here before and had a great experience, so it felt a little off. They used to have more exciting vegetarian options as well.

The ambiance was good! When we first walked in, we were seated immediately (for two people). That's not bad for a Saturday night. My only complaint for the atmosphere is that it smells... very heavily of cheese. Our server came around and got us situated. We wanted to try something new and fancy without spending an arm and a leg; they had options for us! We shared bread on the house, which was a great surprise. We could tell it was handmade, and the butter was plentiful. We then got our ravioli frito (fried ravioli), which was okay for an appetizer, but a bit dry and chewy. Since we ordered entrees, we got a soup or salad. We then had the belly button soup, which was great, but the belly buttons were mid. It tasted a bit like au jus, made with fresh beef broth. If you decide to get a Caesar salad, note that it's an actual Caesar salad with freshly made dressing-- thus, there's an up charge for that if you decide to get that as your entree side. I received my alfio dish; everything was great, except the chicken. It was really dry. I would expect better for the price I paid for it. Our server also did the bare minimum of checking in on us. When I had told our server about the dry chicken, she noted it and apologized, but that's it. My friend received her Calamari steak, which was excellent! It was perfectly cooked and larger than we thought the 4 oz pieces would be. Overall, this restaurant was okay; it was a good dining experience, but the food did not meet my expectations and was dry. I think if you're willing to pay for seafood, the food might be more worth the cost and experience.

Chicken Parmigiana

The chicken parmigiana was the best I've ever had. Everything was homemade and fresh. The music, atmosphere, and servers were all exactly what you would want at an Italian restaurant. My wife ordered rigatoni with vodka sauce and it was also perfection. My new favorite Italian restaurant in Omaha & we will be returning frequently.

Alfredo gnocchi... 10/10. We tried several appetizers and the fried ravioli was the group favorite. The service was wonderful, we had lots of questions and our server was great! Will definitely be back as soon as possible.

Osso Buco
Ax C.

I was craving some Osso Buco and a nice glass of Chianti. it was fantastic. The service was very good. The ambience is upper scale Italian, intimate without being snooty. There were families, couples, and business associates. I came with a teenage granddaughter and her parents who all were pleased with their meals (chicken, parmigiana, ravioli, lasagna, minestrone, soup, and salad. I would definitely go back again.

Donatello
Austin G.

Our new favorite restaurant in Omaha! Everything was absolutely incredible. Highly recommend the Bellybutton Soup! We had the Donatello with a Brunello di Montalcino and it was a better experience than we have had in places like Vegas, New York or San Diego. 10/10 the service was extremely good as well.

Friendly service, comfy setting, and oh yeah - the food! Unfortunately for me, there is too much seafood on the menu but there's always something. People rave about the seafood dishes so I'll trust them and say it must be good. I'm just not into it. On this visit, we each ordered a cocktail. I decided to try the lemon martini which I never order and OH MY GOODNESS. It was awesome! They nailed it. The limoncello brought it home. My dining partner had a dirty martini and was satisfied as well. We enjoyed a Spezia salad which featured mixed greens, prosciutto, tomato, Kalamata olives, and a house vinaigrette. It all combined so well. The lettuce was wonderfully fresh, no need to pick out rotting leaves like some places. The dressing was simply light and delish. We shared a plate of spaghetti. You get several options to add to it. The grilled spicy Italian sausage sounded good. I'm not sure which was better. The sausage or the marinara sauce. Both were soooooo good!! The sausage was truly grilled and spicy and just amazing, and it was not greasy either. The marinara sauce challenged my own that I make at home. We devoured that plate of spaghetti which was big enough to share. I forgot to take a picture as it was served so I am sharing a tight shot of half the order after we divided it.

It can get pretty busy, so I definitely recommend making one ahead of time. The ambiance is quiet and really nice, and the restaurant is much larger inside than I expected, which makes it feel comfortable without feeling crowded. The happy hour menu is such a great deal. $6 Old Fashioneds is almost unheard of, and they are perfectly made for my taste every time. My favorite pasta is similar to a Cajun cream sauce, with the perfect balance of flavors and they definitely do not skimp on the chicken. My kids love the complimentary bread and always order the salmon pasta. I am usually too full for dessert, but this time we shared the chocolate raspberry cheesecake and it was so good it disappeared before I could even get a picture. Definitely a place we keep coming back to.

For the quality you get, the prices are hard to beat, which makes the experience even better. The ambiance is warm and classic, exactly what you would hope for in a traditional Italian restaurant. This is a MUST HAVE, I repeat a must‑have. Perfect crisp outside, soft inside, next‑level cheese pull, and that garlic drizzle seals the deal. I could've eaten just that and left happy. For the main course, I had the penne bolognese fiorna, and it was flawless (rich, fresh, and a generous portion). My better half went for the Big Vinny Combo (chicken parmigiana, fettuccine Alfredo, baked lasagna). Everything hit except the Alfredo needing a touch more salt... though she definitely didn't need any help enjoying those glasses of wine. The kiddo crushed her cavatappi with shrimp -- fork never stopped moving, and she couldn't stop talking about how good it was. Though it could be considered slightly pricey, it's absolutely worth it. I'll definitely be back.

We started off with happy hour drinks and calamari. The lemonchello and Negroni are strong!!! You've been warned! The calamari was surprisingly delicious. It didn't have a fishy taste, the breading was thin, tasty and yummy. The sauces it came with were also bomb. It had a nice kick along with pickled peppers that I could eat by itself. Now to the stars of the show -- margherita and pepperoni pizza. Wow. It almost felt like our taste buds were transported to Italy after the first few bites. Both of these pizzas were on the happy hour menu. I strongly recommend getting them if you're in a pizza mood. From the fresh dough, to fresh cheese and marinara sauce.. these pizzas alone are a huge reason we will come back. Our daughter had the buttered noodles which were also tasty. Our server was great, food came out in a timely manner. The space itself is clean and cozy. There is a bar, plus indoor and outdoor seating. That first impression matters. Our server Paul was a true professional. The best way I can describe him is that he represents what hospitality should be. His wine recommendation of a Barbera d'Asti with the braised beef completely surprised me in the best way. What really impressed me was Jen checking back in after seating us to help get our toddler's order in quickly. She read the situation perfectly while we were managing both kids.
