Came here for a business dinner and was thoroughly impressed! I had an old fashioned for my adult beverage, I shared a mushroom pizza and brussel sprouts with my co worker and everything was Amazing! The drink was made perfectly, the peppers on the pizza gave it a tad bit of spice, they had a nice amount of mushrooms and the sauce on the pizza was flavorful. The brussel sprouts were cooked perfectly, had a little bit of saltiness and crispness. I will definitely be coming back here when I visit for work, it was worth the drive!

Tried this place out for my birthday and it did not disappoint. The food was wonderful, the drinks were delicious, and the service was top notch. Our waitress Rochelle was amazing and made me feel special on my big day. We will definitely be back.

Still one of our favorite spots in Omaha. The staff is so welcoming and the food is superb. It's a cozy oasis serving up a taste of Italy. They are the only restaurant locally that sells authentic Neapolitan pizza cooked in a wood fired oven. For lunch, I had the Flatbread & Greens (your choice of salad) for $15 - quite a deal! I added Giuseppe toppings for $2 extra. We shared the meatball dish served over a cheesy polenta - delish!

I went to Dante following a retirement party with two friends. It had been quite some time since I had been there and I thought it was time for a visit! Unfortunately, our service was very slow at first. As the restaurant began to clear out, our server did a better job at getting to us. For a drink, I ended up ordering a Cosmo, which quite honestly was one of the best I've ever had, so hats off to the bartender there! For our group of three, we ordered Brussel sprouts for our appetizer and two pizzas. The sprouts had decent flavor. Our pizzas (Margherita and Polpette) were unfortunately extremely soggy in the middle and couldn't be eaten as a handheld The flavors were decent, but the texture really brought things down. We ordered two desserts to share and they very kindly gifted one to us as we were celebrating a birthday! I would still love to give Dante another try in the future. I hope we don't have the same issues.

Traveled to Omaha so I was looking for good eats. Dante came highly recommended and did not disappoint. I went during the happy hour so I could order a couple of things at half price. I was greeted promptly and the server was quick. I was there at 3pm so it was quiet but not dead. I ordered a Margherita pizza and a bucatini carbonara. The pizza was good but the carbonara was a standout! To finish my meal I ordered the raved about butterscotch budino. It was, as the kids say, bussin'! So. Freaking. Delicious.

The best meal I've had in a long time! Dante's food was sooooo good--l'd never been. Spicy meatballs and creamy polenta, buttery scallops with risotto, tender steak with a balsamic risotto, Alborosie pizza and a good red wine. Service was good and environment was upscale but casual. Definitely a Dante fan now.

Loved our meal here! Service was kind, quick, and accommodating. We did family style for 5 people and got 2 pizzas, a bolognese, carbonara, and the linguini. All were so delicious! The environment was also fun and lively. I was looking for a good Italian place and this will definitely be in the rotation!

Shout out to the Dante staff who helped me with a surprise mocktail order for my table. It went perfectly executed and we had a wonderful experience. Food was fantastic as always.

Best charcuterie in Omaha!

Dante is one of my fav places for true Italian in Omaha. I would say Avoli ties with Dante as my fav Italian spots! Dante has a great ambiance but doesn't feel too fancy to bring the kids too. Great pizzas, pastas, apps, cocktails, and dessert. What more could you ask for? Whenever we come here we def have all the courses and leave stuffed but with no regrets.

This is a wonderful restaurant! Their authentic Neapolitan pizza is simple but perfect. Crispy and thin. I love that they are accredited by the Neapoltian Pizza Associated (AVPN), so you know that you are getting real, authentic Neapolitan Pizza. I've never had a bad pizza here, the ingredients are always fresh and perfectly balanced. Their Margherita is a great place to start if you've never been here before. I also enjoyed their honeycomb and ricotta bread appetizer. I ordered this because it sounded good but, it tasted so much better than I ever expected! Seasoned ricotta with a very tart and sweet aronia berry jam with local honey. I have also been here for their wine tastings that they have occasionally and it is a great time! It allows me to find some new favorite wines, learn more about different regions in Italy and eat some tasty pizza in the process. Their service has always been prompt and friendly. Not too in your face but, always can give a great wine recommendation and quick to help. Highly recommend!

Had a decent meal at Dante's last weekend. The wood fired pizza was delicious. But the overall experience has gone downhill SIGNIFICANTLY since my last visit. The service left a lot to be desired and was the worst by far. They were quasi busy. But not line-out-the-door busy. We had reservations and the entryway is extremely cramped. We stood there for several minutes before the two at the front even acknowledged us. I guess having worked in customer service... the right thing would have been to at least acknowledge us, then say you'll be right with us. But there was zero acknowledgement. It was like we were invisible. By the time we got seated, our waiter was equally as rude, dismissive and slow. It was at least 10 minutes before he took our drink order and 30+ minutes before he took our food order. We split an order or brussel sprouts and the only flavor you could taste was the char. That was it. No seasoning whatsoever. The pizza was solid. Wine was great. But for the price and lackluster service, everything just felt very pretentious and underwhelming.

Delicious! I love their Neapolitan style pizza! Very basic but, done the right way. My favorite so far has been the margherita pizza. We have also had the polpette but, felt that the meatball was not adding much. I also had their honeycomb and ricotta bread. This was a 10/10 appetizer in my book. Warm, toasted bread. Flavorful and seasoned ricotta with a very tart and sweet aronia berry jam. I love to go at lunch to take advantage of their 1/2 priced happy hour for a STEAL of a late lunch/early dinner.

This place honestly is overpriced. The food is decent but they all have a unique spin, but maybe doing too much.

Benihana - Spicy Chicken Gyoza

Benihana

(1 review)

West Omaha

Benihana as a business was bought out by the company who owns Kona Grill. So do we have a Benihana…read morein Omaha? No. It exists as only a "ghost kitchen" (pickup and delivery only) inside Kona Grill. We figured, hey maybe it's as good as the actual Benihana we've had while traveling, so we ordered it via GrubHub. But no - that hope for it to be as good was not the case. Especially for the price, which I'll get into. We ordered the hibachi chicken fried rice, onion soup, and chicken gyoza. It was $52 after tip. When I tell you the chicken fried rice was a child size...you have to see the pic to believe me. It was also dry as all get out. It was literally just like the fried rice you get on the side for free at Chinese restaurants usually, but with some dry bits of flavorless chicken. Luckily I had soy sauce and yum yum sauce at home to partially save it. The onion soup was $8 and it came in what is normally the size of a side of SAUCE anywhere else - super tiny. And it was about 90% onions, not really a "soup" at all. The chicken gyoza was pretty good, but for $14, I expect more than 5 little gyozas. It also didn't come with enough dipping sauce so I also had to use sauce I had at home. The fact that I had to "fix" two of the three items is not a cool look at all. I did like that they had Benihana packaging though, as most ghost kitchen type places just use plain brandless packaging or the brand of the restaurant they reside in. The packaging though did not save this meal, especially because the food wasn't great at all and the price was astronomical - I recommend you skip this one.
