Luigi's was great, had been too long since we had been there and were super happy our friends invited us out. They do not take reservations but we just beat the rush Friday at 5:30 pm and got seated right away. Parking lot is small but ample free street parking close by. My wife started with cosmo classico martini which she really enjoyed it was tasty when I tried it. They bring bread for the table which was soft and warm. I had the Napolitano and added shrimp. They definitely didn't skimp on the shrimp or the portions in general are big! The mixed sauce was great and the Italian sausage was the star that brought everything together as well. We got our toddler the fettuccine Alfredo which we all enjoyed as well. My wife got the capellini I believe which was also very good. Our friends got a shrimp fettuccine Alfredo and the other got the pesto. Both enjoyed. They also brought more bread on request to soak up the extra sauce and it was the perfect end to the meal. So we thought, I got a small cannoli and our friends got the tiramisu both were big hits. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The vibes are good with interesting decor. The prices are great for the quality and quantity of food. We will be back soon and so should you!

Pasta Sampler

We heard a lot of good things about Luigi's but we live about as far away as possible while still living in the metro. We found ourselves south of Bellevue so we decided to give it a try! It was a Saturday night and the place was crowded. So, we had to wait and have friendly conversations with others waiting too. The staff was busy trying to turn tables over as much as they can without trying to hurry the dining customers. Alas, we were seated. They have a pretty expansive menu. I have to order the "pasta sampler" when I see it on an Italian menu. That was the case this time. The sampler is a combination of lasagna, manicotti, and cheese ravioli served with marinara and topped with shredded cheese. When it arrived, it was hard to decipher one from another because it was all buried under yummy tomato marinara and cheese. It was pretty good, not the best I have ever had, but pretty good. Next time, I will stick with the marinara sauce but try another dish. We also ordered a side salad which was about as average as you can get. The iceberg lettuce was fresh, so no issue there. The house Italian dressing did not seem like anything special to either one of us. My dining partner ordered Spaghetti Works which has sauteed meatballs, meat sauce, Italian sausage, mushrooms, and marinara sauce served with capellini pasta. It's always fun to try sausage at various restaurants. They do a good job here. The rest of the dish was delish! The menu describes Luigi's as proud to be family owned. The family came from Italy and provides old world family recipes. Everything is made from scratch. While we were pleased with Luigi's, it's not a restaurant that would motivate us to drive across the city to visit. The people who live in the area are fortunate to have Luigi's. It's definitely worth a try.

I won a gift card and cane I to redeem it and was greeted with a very warm welcome by BEN...and a "How you doing" Very nice ambiance..dim lights..lots of wine options! This is the wonderful community of Bellevue!

Fettuccine Carbonara

Great food, great prices, great service! Did I mention the great food? The dinner rolls were delicious. Caesar salad is huge and it was enough for 3 people. That was some of the best Caesar salad dressing I have ever tasted. I had the fettuccine carbonara, but we also had the seafood damianca (sp) meatballs, and fried calamari. All of them were chef's kiss!

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for like 20 years. I finally went and was sadly displeased. I had a shrimp pasta with vodka sauce. I quite liked the sauce but the shrimp had their tails. So I had to peel shrimp with a piping hot pasta sauce on it. Horrible. Moreover, my wife liked her meal well enough, but the next morning was absolutely hurling chunks. Can't be certain it was Luigi's I guess but she's never sick, and no viruses or anything we're going around. None of the food we recently shared made anybody else sick. She's convinced it was Luigi.

Outstanding!! Food came out hot, fresh and amazing! I ordered the shrimp and lobster ravioli. I will definitely be back. Some of the best I've had.

Chicken Marsala half eaten

Started destroying this Chicken Marsala before I could get a proper picture. Great little hidden gem with fast service. Had never heard of it and happened to be in the area. I'll be sure to come back. Thanks.

Penne ala vodka

Amazing small Italian vibe with great service and even better food. When I say this is the best pasta I've ever had, I'm not kidding . Anytime I am in the Omaha area, I have to stop here ! The penne alla vodka is sooooo good!

Don't ask me how to pronounce it. No one seems to know…read more There is something about Spezia that is so welcoming. No wonder it's always packed. Friendly service, comfy setting, and oh yeah - the food! Unfortunately for me, there is too much seafood on the menu but there's always something. People rave about the seafood dishes so I'll trust them and say it must be good. I'm just not into it. On this visit, we each ordered a cocktail. I decided to try the lemon martini which I never order and OH MY GOODNESS. It was awesome! They nailed it. The limoncello brought it home. My dining partner had a dirty martini and was satisfied as well. We enjoyed a Spezia salad which featured mixed greens, prosciutto, tomato, Kalamata olives, and a house vinaigrette. It all combined so well. The lettuce was wonderfully fresh, no need to pick out rotting leaves like some places. The dressing was simply light and delish. We shared a plate of spaghetti. You get several options to add to it. The grilled spicy Italian sausage sounded good. I'm not sure which was better. The sausage or the marinara sauce. Both were soooooo good!! The sausage was truly grilled and spicy and just amazing, and it was not greasy either. The marinara sauce challenged my own that I make at home. We devoured that plate of spaghetti which was big enough to share. I forgot to take a picture as it was served so I am sharing a tight shot of half the order after we divided it.

Spezia, you let me down!…read more Our waiter struggled to keep up with the dinner rush. We arrived for our reservation and were seated at 6:40 where we weren't greeted by our waiter for quite awhile. It took a long time to get our drinks and I had to ask for bread so we decided to skip appetizers and go straight to our entree. When ordering the entree our waiter said "and which salad would you like?" And then listed the salad options. Normally when ordering a main and the waiter says which salad do you want that's because the salad comes with the meal. Nope. We were charged $11 per salad that we didn't even really want. The salads were your average side salad, but thankfully had good dressings. We hadn't brought up salads, the waiter did when we ordered our entree. So we were disappointed to have $20+ in salads that we didn't request until the waiter offered them. Our salads were finished for at least 15 minutes before our main entree came out at about 7:30, nearly an hour after we had been seated. My shrimp scampi was good, the broccolini was a touch under cooked but the flavors were still good, and the shrimp was surprisingly large in size and cooked exactly how it should be. Had we been served quicker and not offered things that didn't come with our meal when ordering our meal we may have been happier, hard to say. The table next to us was sat about 10 minute after us and had a different waitress. They received their entire meal (including bread & apps) and left before we were offered dessert. The food is good, I won't discredit that at all. But when coming to a restaurant like this you are expecting a level of service that we just didn't get. I'm sure we'll try again in the future and if service is better I will definitely update my review but for now, this was a let down of a birthday dinner.

I was delightfully introduced to this cozy corner by the ever busy Shannon, and she wasn't kidding when said her (Nicola's) Lasagna Mediterranean was to die for. I was gifted a few bites and let me tell you... what ever magic Nicola sprinkles on it, was DELISH. I'm hardly a red sauce fan but ok now.. I see you. Snagged their Tiramisu Martini... and it was just.. perfect. No where near burnt (martinis seem to trick a few up), with that cozy warm Kahlua kick on the back end. A definite will do again in my book! I was feeling a little appetizer-ee this evening so I chose the Bruschetta and Prosciutto e Melone as my meal, and it was plentiful! The sweet (melon) salty (prosciutto) combo, mixed with some tangy asiago was out of the park. I may even dream about this appetizer if I'm completely honest... never mind the pieces of delish bread, topped with finely diced tomatoes. Just everything paired really, really well and it's such a great summer eve meal - peep that patio folks! Not pictured, was a few bites of their Lemon dessert that was incredibly light, airy, fresh, the slightest hint of lemon (it won't smack ya in the face) and the best sponge to her cake. A LOT of love is included, and you can tell.

The chicken didn't have any type of seasoning on it and was very bland. The panini shouldn't even be called a panini because it was a sandwich type. The pasta didn't taste like anything neither. For the price the food was very disappointing. Service was also very slow when there was barely people there; they were nice and helpful. Ingredients were fresh too.
