I've been to spaghetti Works dozens of times, but this is my first time at the Ralston location. It was pretty much identical, aside from being smaller. The salad bar is always amazing, so many options, and the lettuce is always fresh. The Cajun pasta tasted great -- I added some of the Parmesan and crushed red pepper on the table, and it was absolutely amazing with these! I love the unlimited refills, and got a second place to take home. The service was great, no complaints. Overall, this is a very affordable meal, especially considering unlimited refills! Even if you don't take advantage of this, it is a great value for a solid salad and pasta dinner. I would definitely recommend coming in! read more

Spaghetti Works has always been a family fun place to celebrate birthdays, especially for the picky ones. Prices are reasonable, and spaghetti is unlimited and the kicker is you can change sauces and spaghetti types as much as you want! My fave is spicy red clam sauce with angel hair pasta. That has a nice kick to it that's not too much. I decided to try a grilled chicken sandwich that was decent and I like how it came with a good portion side of pasta! Perfect!! They have a salad bar that has more than the usual toppings like pretzels & applesauce. We had a very enjoyable lunch recently at the Park Drive Spaghetti Works. I had my usual original sauce with bow tie pasta while Bookguy had a combination of Alfredo, pesto, and white clam. To his taste buds, everything tasted the same. He had a second serving of white clam for the flavor. That one did taste like clams. The marinara I had was just as expected. The salad bar that comes with the pasta gives us a chance to customize our salads to our liking. I don't usually go for salad bars since Covid. The old vehicle used to present the salad is clever and perfectly suited to the old-timey vibe created with the vintage advertising. I do wish they had had sanitizer at both ends. Since there are two locations in Omaha, my sister and I thought we'd go and try one we hadn't been to. I really liked how this location had a parking lot rather than having to struggle to find parking in downtown Omaha. We were seated right away and our waiter Robert was very kind. I will have to say my favorite part of spaghetti works would have to be the salad bar. There are so many options and the veggies are always fresh. We both ordered the all you can eat pasta.... Who wouldn't for the price! I started off with the Cajun alfredo which is a personal favorite of mine. I really appreciate that they have so many different kinds of pasta to pair with all of their sauces! It allows for a unique flavor adventure for each visit. Years ago we had a bad experience at this location around 10 years ago. The wait staff was upset that our large family was drinking their pops too fast. It was for a birthday so there was probably 14-15 of us there. Fast forward to current we have eaten here over the last two years and the service has been great. The food was always good. I prefer the Cajun Chicken Alfredo which gets you the salad bar as well which has just about every option that you can think of. The restaurant has a local, family feel in decor and seating. I know it's Valentines Day and most restaurants will be busy. There were 5 hostess and one poor waiter for 12 tables. Management should have scheduled more help!! We haven't been here since an abysmal experience in August of 2019. And we had no intention of coming back, but a friend from out of town is a big fan of spaghetti and wanted to come here. Okay. For a friend. But it will likely be another 5 years before we return. At least this time, I felt like they deserved 2 stars instead of only 1. First, I am mobility impaired. It's no secret since I use a walker. So I was shocked when the hostess placed us at a table the farthest distance possible from the front. Back by the kitchen...where staff was yelling at each other loudly enough that it interrupted our conversation at our table. Since several tables were available in the front section, why they had me walk all the way to the back was a mystery. Why the hostess walked so quickly that I couldn't keep up with her was a mystery as well. Next, it was a good 15 minutes before any wait staff acknowledged us. No hello, no water brought to us, nothing. This was how it went the whole time. He was nice enough when he was at our table, but he didn't stop by very much. Refills on drinks and pasta were VERY hard to get because he came by so seldom and he would leave before we could finish telling him what we would like. The food was tasty. But I didn't get all I wanted, as getting a refill on my pasta was impossible. Since the plates are considerably smaller than they used to be, I went home hungry. But...as I said, the food was tasty. (The original sauce is definitely the best!) And unlike our experience 5 years ago, the waiter did honor our gluten-free needs. I gave an extra star this time because our waiter was very patient and efficient when we asked for the bill to be split and we used a coupon. We tipped him on the full amount, of course! But he didn't know we were going to and treated us no differently. (I know some people only tip on the amount after the discount has been applied, and I hate that.) I've been a customer of Spaghetti Works since 1982. I feel sad that it is no longer one of my favorite places. But we enjoyed being with our friend from out of town, and that's the most important thing. read more

I had the dumbest interaction at the Ralston Spaghetti Works on Friday night. The waiter was very nice but very slow. We have had him before so we knew it would take sometime to eat in his section. We ordered fairly quick for drinks and brought my drink back sat it down and then moved on. No other questions. About 5 minutes later he brought out my wife's Italian cream soda. Then went to another table and then into the back. About 5 minutes later he came back out and finally took our order. About 15 minutes later a runner brought our food out. I asked them for a refill. The next time the waiter stopped at our table was to drop off the check. When he dropped off the check my wife asked to have another cream soda. 10 minutes later that was finally brought out and then check was taken ring up. So now we are ready to go. Never saw the waiter again. Finally a manger (asst)? Comes by and we ask for a to go cup because we have waited way too long and are ready to go. Absolutely not to that request. Corporate does not give to go cups. If you want a to go cup you have to buy another drink. So I emailed corporate and and got the same answer about to go cups. Really hate to see them lose out on 30cents for a to go cup. Crazy to me. read more

The servers work hard. They are running around like crazy, but pleasant and attentive. But damn, glad I'm vaccinated. Um, zero social distancing. They're piling in people and packing the tables close. And don't even get me started on the salad bar and everyone touching everything and no hand sanitizing. (They do provide a hand sanitizing station at the salad bar. We just saw, literally, zero people use it.) And, of course, zero requirements in terms of customers wearing masks. No one in masks crowding around the salad bar or walking to and from the restrooms. (The servers were wearing masks.) So yeah, completely 1 star from a health standpoint. Absolutely terrible to see this sort of thing. Still have a soft spot in my heart, though, for the food. It's not great food. We were really crazing a good salad. We stopped in for lunch and both got the solo salad bar. This is actually all you can eat. The salad bar is on the bed of an old fashion truck which is really cool. They have a decent variety of toppings for your salad. I would have liked to see some sunflower seeds to put on my salad but that was my only complain. Our waiter was very helpful with any questions we had and was attentive with our plate and drink refills. Overall we had a great experience. I have done both eat in and take out at this location. I am surprised at the lack of Italian food in Omaha. Visiting from Denver my uncle wanted some Chicken Parm. It was the only place I knew since I had been there the year before with some friends, Made the order online and I guess it was strange for them as when I came in they had a little bit of a time finding my order. They even commented as to how strange it was the order came in that way. 2 Chicken Parms and a Lasagna. Each came with a side of bread. Bag was packed with everything neatly. Portions were enough for 2 meals so one of the parms was shared and the other left behind with my uncle so he didn't need to cook later in the week. The portion to price is great and if you eat in they still have the salad bar. That's hard to find most anywhere. Give them a try. I am sure you will be glad you did. read more

Even though the food here is quite tasty, the service, on this evening, was not. "Boundless Pasta" with buttery garlic bread was very filling. You also can get refills on the pasta of your choice. Some of the bench seats should be replaced as they sink pretty low and are difficult to get out of when it is time to leave. Also expected in a well there are many people that visit. When I ordered a second serving of spaghetti, 30 minutes went by and it never arrived (and the same thing happened to another person at our table). He later came out with someone else's check and credit card, so I sent him back to get MY check, which he then returned with. Had the pleasure of dining at Spaghetti Works for our first meal out since arriving at our new home. Upon arrival, we were given the option of a real menu or using a Smartphone and a QR Code. Most people prefer a real menu, so as a hostess, please don't give anyone an attitude when they ask for a menu. Not everyone wants to deal with Smartphone technology. We were seated at a table that was too close to another occupied table. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I found this to be unacceptable as it was not the minimum six feet social distance that is needed. The other diners were literally right behind my back. I docked the restaurant one star for this. We ordered lasagna and cheese ravioli. Each came with a trip to the salad bar, which did not have a face/sneeze guard. Again not acceptable and does not follow food safety guidelines. I docked them another star for this. The portions for each entry were filling and the sauce had good flavor. We had an extra portion of garlic bread and the waitress brought me an extra drink without asking. Nice touch. I observed our waitress without her mask on at one point when we went up to the salad bar. Masks should be warn at all time per the health guidelines as posted on the front door. I took off another star due to this. All in all, the dining experience would have been exceptional had it not been for the three reasons as noted above. read more
