Beautiful interior decoration, excellent food . Our waiter has excellent service . We are a group of ten and get to try their steaks , salmon , risotto . My chicken breast is a bit dry but very tender . They have very good cocktails and desserts. Highly recommended.

Went here for anniversary dinner. We loved the ambiance, the food was a little above average and positions seemed small. We left this place and felt like we could eat again. Service was a bit slow but friendly staff.

I came here for my friend's bday recently, the vibe was so cute and loved how everything was designed. We had the brussels sprouts which were so good, they had oranges & apple slices mixed in too. Got the steak frites, I asked for my steak medium and it was well done so I didn't really like it that much. Fries were yummy though. The service was slow, our drinks and meals took a minute to come out. But other than that, I give it 7/10.

Unfortunately, I am going to have to echo what many of the other reviews said. The atmosphere was super nice! Loved the decor. Our waitress was very nice too so the service was great. The food took forever to come out and it definitely was not my favorite. I ordered the penne vodka rosa and it was not good. It was very watery and salty. The house cut monarch fries were mid... I didn't mind the aioli but the fries tasted like they have been sitting out for awhile and just heated up. Also we made a reservation for my boyfriend's birthday and they didn't do anything special for it

To start with the positive - the atmosphere is very pretty and the service was attentive and adequate. The down side was the food quality and prices. For a $40 6oz steak & frites, I expect it to be high-ish quality and I feel that I could've gotten this quality of meal for a lower price elsewhere. The chicken Marsala honestly tasted like it had been microwaved and the mashed potatoes had very little flavor.

Here is a place that strives to make its patrons love it as much as they do. You like attentive service? Jack is the man for you. He goes the extra mile. Ambiance is elegant art deco with warmth. Quiet. Romantic. Outstanding green lipped mussels. Beef Wellington delicious, but over seasoned. Mushroom Risotto was good, but needs less cheese. Delicious flour-less chocolate torte. Will eat here again.

We visited Monarch with our Supper Club group, after a few of our friends had been there with the Yelp Elite Squad and enjoyed it. I found it had super high quality offerings, but was a little on the spendy side. The ambiance is super upscale, which is right on par with the Hotel Deco, which Monarch is a part of. There is a giant mural on the back wall that is breathtaking in size and its floral subjects. The meal started with the Herbal Butter Bread, which came gorgeously braided into a little pull-apart knot, and was served with some tasty butter that melted on the warm bits of the bread perfectly. A simple starter but done well, was extra impressive. Our group shared the yellowtail crudo which was very fresh and light. Perfect way to start the meal on a light note and save room for our entree dishes. We also had the French Onion Dip, which came almost "deconstructed" so you can scoop up each component as you took each bite and balance out which parts you liked best. Another in our group got the Potato Soup, and was so kind to give me a little taste. And that taste was silky smooth and heavenly in its creamy flavor! For my entree I ordered the Short Rib Meatloaf, which arrived as a spherical lump of excellently cooked short rib, atop a little layer of very herbaceous potato puree. A super elevated version of a classic meatloaf. My husband ordered the Sirloin, and it was served in a cast iron pan that kept it sizzling and warm. He ordered the broccolini on the side of his dish, and they came well seasoned and in their own little cast iron pot (so we could share easily, which was how I know they were excellent!) Our group shared a few desserts: -Donuts with Dulce de Leche Ice Cream: When you hear the word "donuts" this is definitely not what comes to mind. They were beautiful little balls of sweet dough, fried up, and then coated in sugar. Adding the Dulce de Leche ice cream just gave the perfect creaminess to counterbalance any dryness the donuts may have had from their sheer surface area. -S'mores: Just like the "donuts" above, this is an elevated version of an old classic, and "deconstructed" partially. It came artistically plated with two large squares of decadent chocolate ganache, above two swipes on the plate of marshmallow fluff, and topped with sprinkles of smoked graham cracker and little "spikes" of candied hazelnuts. Yum! I'd say if you are in the mood for a fancy night out, with elevated classics done super well (and you're ready to pay the price for all that too) then Monarch is a great option for you.

I went to this place for a birthday dinner and our waitress was instantly so sweet. She offered me a birthday treat and plenty of help on the menu. We ordered the charcuterie board which, as an appetizer, was enough for us to split among 4. We also got the brussel sprouts- I was a huge fan, and I got the pesto pasta with chicken added. The chicken was just a little dry but had great flavor and it was a filling dish! It was good portion size. They were also playing nice music which set the mood and the theme of the restaurant was what drew me in, in the first place!

We unfortunately were very underwhelmed by our experience. Food was just okay and was pricey for just being okay. Goes the same for the drinks. The staff was very friendly and we liked the decor though.

If you are looking for a quieter restaurant than those at old market, this is a good choice. Just a few blocks off from the busy area inside the lobby of the Deco hotel. Our dishes were well executed and delicious. The drinks were great. Our booth was secluded with romantic theme. Service was excellent.

We took our young boys here while in town and I'm so glad we chose The Monarch! What a gem of a restaurant!!! The decor is absolutely beautiful. Dark sultry walls with beautiful warm lit sconces and chandeliers. The array of live plants scattered about makes you feel like you are dining in an atrium set back in the 1920's. The wall murals completed the vibe. Seriously a very intimate space. We ordered Shirley temples and mock-tails to start and ordered the calamari and balsamic brussel sprouts for our appetizers and all were delicious. Our boys each ordered the steak and pommes frites and I ordered the Cowboy ribeye and my husband ordered the dry aged ribeye special with the garlic jalapeño compote. My husband and I enjoyed our steaks but we were both shocked at how amazing our boys sirloins were. Like..... ahhhhh is that even possible? As steak lovers, we've had them all but these sirloins were, chefs kiss!!!! I cannot recommend the sirloin enough. Don't sleep on this one!!! Our server was very attentive and personable and the chef came out to ask how everything was tasting. This to me shows he prides himself on his work and added to the evening. The details will ALWAYS make good impressions. It was fun to show our boys what mom and dad do on date nights and they were excited to be a part of it. We traveled to Omaha from Milwaukee WI area and I'm really happy we stumbled upon this absolute gem. Thank you for a wonderful evening for my family.

These guys know how to show out for a nice night out on the town! Our server was great: super knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. The food was excellent (although these downtown prices kill me). I had the salmon which was a huge portion and cooked so it was juicy yet still crisp on the outside. I wish it came with more veggies on the side, as those felt like an afterthought instead of a compliment. Overall great date atmosphere where you can dress up and feel special for a night!

Something I really liked is that they let you bring food from other places since they don't serve any, which is perfect if you want to hang out for a while. Their drink menu is huge, and the presentation is honestly amazing. When we first got there it was slow, but it definitely got busier as the night went on. Nothing wrong with it, just nothing memorable--certainly not at that price point. Service was slow, which was surprising given that it was a quiet night. On top of that, since the bar is in the hotel basement, there's no cell service. The Wi-Fi password I was given didn't work, which made the experience more frustrating than it needed to be. I made a reservation for five of us, and we were counting down the days like it was a holiday. When we arrived, we valet parked and made our way inside. The restaurant is a little tucked away. Head downstairs past the hotel lounge and you will find it. It kind of gives the place a secret, speakeasy vibe, which I loved. We were greeted warmly and led to a private dining room that was beyond charming. It featured a renovated poker table that now serves as a dining table. It was unique, intimate, and perfect for our group. We were offered still or sparkling water right away, and the service was attentive from start to finish. Joe, our server, was fantastic. He knew we were celebrating and made the experience feel personalized from the moment we sat down. He also knew I was there for the Beef Wellington. I had noted it in the reservation, which I highly recommend, because they only prepare a limited number each day. They saved one for me, and I am still dreaming about it. Since it was our first time, we went all out. We shared Caesar salads, a small chilled seafood tower, bourbon-glazed pork belly, and an artisanal cheese board. Everything was top-notch. I do not even eat seafood, but the tarragon sauce on the tower was absolutely incredible. I would put that on toast, fries, maybe even a shoe. It was that good. For mains, most of us ordered the New York strip steaks. My husband chose the Summer of Steak flight, and I finally got my hands on the Wellington. Every entrée was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. These were easily some of the best steaks we have had in Omaha. We also ordered four sides to share, which was just right for our group of five. The truffle fries were hot and crispy with a lemon aioli that I wanted to take home in a bottle. The asparagus was fresh and perfectly done. The mashed potatoes were whipped and fluffy. The aged cheddar mac and cheese was everything it should be--gooey, rich, and ridiculously satisfying. Naturally, we did not stop there. We sampled a few desserts: Baked Alaska, Coconut Torte, and the Blackstone Butterbrickle. All three were excellent. There was not a single bite left behind. The cocktails were also a standout. Some of the best margaritas we have had in a while. The bartender deserves his own round of applause. Yes, it was a splurge. With tip, the bill came to around $1,200. But it was a birthday, and as my dad always says, if the food and the experience were good, it was money well spent. And this absolutely was.
