Husband and I decided to stop in a whim last night. First impression is that the place is spacious with a chill vibe. We liked that the music wasn't playing super loud and you could talk to each other easily. I like the wallpapers 70's Vibe. Their drink menu is really expansive I think anyway could find something they like. The bartender was the nonchalant type but you could tell he was experienced. I asked what their sweetest drink was and he asked did I want him to make him something. I took him up on his offer and was glad I did. The drink had a subtle sweetness and freshness to it. One of the best drinks I've had in a bar. My husband ordered the bragging rights drink and loved his selection as well. I think we will definitely be back!

Nice new clean fun bar with a great cocktail menu of items to choose from. Our bartender was very knowledgeable about all the different ingredients that combined the concoction to make these drinks sensational!! I believe there's something here for everyone to enjoy. They were fully decorated for Saint Pats Day and are going on one year planning a party to celebrate in May. I believe the summertime will be a lot of fun in their back patio, seating and platform for entertainment! Only downfall is street parking. Good luck on Leavenworth Street.

Stopped by around 8:30 on Saturday and the place quickly filled up. The crowd was a huge variety of all different types of people, so I really feel that most everyone would feel comfortable and welcome here. Drinks are a little pricey, but I was grateful they had some NA options and I had a few Athletic brewing NA IPAs. Bartenders were fine, no complaints there. I didn't interact with them much. We sat at a table at the booths by the window, and didn't have any service to our seat. We ordered at the bar each time. The place got pretty packed pretty quickly. My chair was hit by people lots of times as they tried to squeeze by. There is a weird flow of high tops and the booths and the bar, and it seemed like there wasn't a great path or way to get past the crowds. Nothing they can really do to solve this, just an observation. Decor and vibe were laid back and fun, not a dance party, but lively.

True American is a fun addition to Leavenworth. The decor is very mid century, and we were there around Christmas, where they had the placed decked out in decor. Add in the moody lighting, and it really sets the vibes. Prices are a little high at $14/cocktail , so to me, this is a "one drink stop" unless I'm ready to splurge a bit. All the drink options are interesting, so you're definitely paying for quality and creativity. We had a server take our orders at the table. He was kind and helpful in navigating the menu. One small thing, the women's restroom was a mess and only 1 of the stalls had toilet paper. A worker had come in to also use the restroom, and she seemed aware of the issue but didn't appear to address it.

This bar was packed on a Sunday. It's giving neighborhood bar, with elevated cocktails. It's very eclectic and heavily decorated. Has some fun elements like a Photo Booth, disco ball and erratic decor. I was impressed by the quality and detail of the cocktails. Would for sure come back.

I stopped in around 4pm on a Saturday, as I was next door for a reception. It was quiet, with a few patrons in house. This was nice because it allowed me to chat with the bartender, who took a generous amount of time explaining some of the cocktails to me. I started with opted for a spicier margarita, but then I look to my left, and I see what looks like the most delectable espresso martini. they shared that they back wash the vodka, and while I still don't know what that means, it did ensure that it was absolutely fabulous. I enjoyed and savored every sip. They are pricier, to me, an older millenial, but it was worth every penny. Everything about this bar is inviting, the huge windows, the cool decor, the retro wall paper, and the staff. They made me feel welcome as a solo patron. Will definitely be back hopefully with group!

What a cute bar! This bar has small town feel meets liberal energy meets celebratory aesthetic :) the service was quick, kind, and helpful! There is a small outdoor area and a photo booth to take cute pics (wasn't working when we went but tons on the wall). The drinks aren't too strong but have a nice little kick to them while tasting amazing. ~$14 for a cocktail which is a little bit more than I typically like to pay but their drinks are on the more unique side so I found it well worth the money!

There isn't a parking lot so you're stuck parking in the neighborhood which is a little chaotic. There's a few sharable snack options. We tried the Good Ass Popcorn (Chicago mix) and Chips & Salsa. They hit the spot for a little happy hour snack. The cocktail menu is super fun. A little pricey but it's part of the experience. They had Tank 7 on tap which is also a green flag for me at a bar . Great spot to happy hour with friends!!!

Great place to meet near downtown with a beautiful patio setting. Excellent drinks and alcohol forward. Friendly wait staff and premium cocktails!! The only drawback is no private parking lot, street parking only.

True American is a fun bar off Leavenworth that is definitely worth checking out! I love the decor, from the warm wood to the fun, 70's wallpaper and disco ball. The patio is a great spot for a nice night out, and is perfect for a fun night with friends! The photo booth is a lot of fun as well, though a little expensive to use. The drinks are good, and they have some great specialty cocktails on the menu. Both times I've visited, the waitresses were super nice and had great suggestions. I enjoyed the spicy margarita I ordered one visit because it was refreshing, though it wasn't very spicy at all. True American always has a fun feel, and I've always visited earlier in the night, but is a nice relaxing environment. This is a great spot to get together with friends, because of lots of comfortable seating and it not being too loud to have a conversation. There are games available too, which is fun! They have special events with food trucks, comedians, and more, so definitely check those out!

True American is the best bar on Leavenworth. Really. Are you looking for Nite Owl vibes with a golden disco ball? This is the place for you. In addition to being one of the few bars in Omaha that has Old Style, there's a big focus on craft cocktails. If you're into wine, they have a red, a white, and something sparkly. No champagne on tap, but not necessary with the kind of menu you're getting. Good mix of classics and interesting takes with the cocktails. The decor is vegan leather and gold, with enough glitz and glamour to take it to classy level. They're not afraid to get weird, though, because there was a Nick Cage movie playing on the TV tucked in the corner. The photo booth is a big draw, with different printouts plastered through the bar to showcase the cream of the crop. The clientelle is chatty and polite, but is split into the usual groups of couples at the bar, groups at the large tables, and foursomes at the hightops. There's a patio with ashtrays at every table and umbrellas at half of the them, so it's definitely a great place to take a breather. Music choice is top notch. Fits the atmosphere with a bass-heavy focus but not thumping in your chest. Ranges between alt, indie, funk, and a few other genres. Groovy, not dancey. Snacks are good but minimal since there's no kitchen. They have food trucks come by often, and even some events with house food on the grill. I've been on Leavenworth. I've crawled up and down Leavenworth. I've stumbled back from Leavenworth. True American is worth a visit, again and again and again.

Most of the highlight was the various types of burgers and fries they had, so my partner and I got two kinds, and we both enjoyed our respective meals. I had the block burger, which was as good as I imagined it to be, with juicy patty cooked to medium and every ingredient needed to make a good burger. The poutine had a lot of beef gravy and cheese curds, which made the dish a comprehensive experience to consume, rather than just fries. The duck duck goose fries were amazing! The duck confit, cheese curds, mayo, gravy, and gooseberry gastrique combination worked super well on top of the fries, because they altogether basically made it a gourmet dish that I had to eat with a fork. Finally, the sloppy nick was seasoned very well, even if we got the vegan version, which used impossible meat instead of ground beef. It was still really great! Hope everyone who visits Omaha gets to try this spot! Their wall has quite a few articles that recognized them as a locally renowned burger joint, and I could see why. Since they can be busy, I would recommend people getting there earlier to secure a good table spot, if dining in.

But do not let that detour you from trying this gem. I usually like to grab one of my go-to orders, like the poutine burrito or the Croque Garcon Burger, plus whatever the daily special is. Sometimes the specials do not hit for me, but that is not their fault. It is a seat yourself space, but I have never had any issues finding a spot, usually by the time you order, someone has left. Despite the space being crowded whenever I come by, they do a great job of keeping the tables cleared and clean. Service has always been top-notch for me.

He looked at me and said, "No, it's totally fine. Would you like some veggies on the side?" "Yes, that would be amazing," I said, and walked back to my table... and burst into tears. I found myself asking, why am I crying? Because in a world where so many people in power feel disconnected, where corporations can make us feel like numbers, being genuinely cared for in a small café reminded me how much I love humans. Most people have love in their hearts and are trying to share it in their own small ways. As the world cracks, these simple things are more meaningful than ever.

My husband and I first visited Memoir for our anniversary, and it was such an awesome experience, especially for a special occasion like that. After we were done doing all of our (admittedly annoying) photography of the awesome ambiance, we finally sat down to order and eat - and the original amazingness didn't stop there! The menu is not gigantic, which I always appreciate - because I get overwhelmed by too many choices. We picked a few things to share, at the recommendation of our server (who was also amazing and made sure we had a great anniversary dinner). They even gave us a card signed by the staff wishing us a great anniversary! Those little extra touches are what really make a dining experience special. We had the Kale and Bacon Dip for an appetizer, which was DECADENTLY delicious. The dip was smooth and silky with a toasty focaccia which went really well together with the two different textures. And we also grabbed the Pork Potstickers, and my oh my, were those fantastic. Delicate potsticker wrapper, with tons of filling, resting in a carrot-ginger dressing that complemented the potsticker fantastically. We were already so pleased, and didn't believe the entrees could top the starters, but they were just as awesome, which should be no surprise. It was easier to share two entrees, because we couldn't decide between two. Our first entree was the Faroe Island Salmon, and it was cooked to perfection, and served atop an indulgent bed of sweet corn risotto that I still dreeeeam about. And our second entree was the Rigatoni Alla Vodka, which was a little lighter of a meal, so was great paired with the salmon dish which was a tad heavier. I would recommend either of these dishes! We were SO full at this point but we knew we had to get a dessert since this was a special occasion. We shared the chocolate torte and devoured it, even with our extreme fullness. It was so fluffy and chocolatey and DELISH. From start to finish, this was one of the best meals I've had in Omaha. The service was on point, the eats were out of this world, and the vibe of the interior is something to behold. If you're looking for an awesome place to have a special occasion meal or just a nice dinner on a date night, look no further than Memoir for all of the above!

This fit the bill so we walked over around 5pm one evening for an early dinner after spending the day exploring the zoo. When we arrived the place was pretty empty - think maybe two tables occupied, and the hostess asked us if we had a reservation. We did not, and honestly she seemed a bit put out for a bit. I kind of wondered if we were going to be able to eat in this empty restaurant, but alas she decided it was okay and we were seated. This is one of my pet peeves at restaurants. I know, I know, that there could have been a ton of business booked for later, but it's such a bad look to make such a big deal about reservations when the place is empty. Also - while it did start to fill it was by no means full by the time we left. At any rate, things perked up at that point and we all got seated, ordered drinks, food etc. and had a good time. The server was kind and thoughtful and the food was pretty tasty. I had the fish and chips and shared it with my husband as the entrees are a good size here. My six year old had the kids hamburger, though we did have a bit of a scare when the server said "your cheeseburger will be out soon!" we had a long wait on the kids meal and when she said cheeseburger I immediately said - "no cheese!" the menu item was described as a "hamburger" with no mention of cheese and our kid doesn't like cheese her burgers so that was a really close call. I sort of got the impression that server wasn't accustomed to kids, but when the burger came out it was right and even though she had to wait, my kiddo gave it two thumbs up. Overall this is a good pub style restaurant in Old Town. Nothing really to write home about, but they do have decent food and local beers which was all we really cared about after a long day at the zoo.

We did the extra hot bubba, which is their extra hot sauce fried then grilled In garlic Parmesan, which was so juicy and flavorful and kicked the heat to a perfect amount where it was flavorful but not overbearing. We also did the cactus ranch, which is the medium hot sauce tossed with cactus ranch seasoning, also tried it grilled. Another solid selection that provided a nice amount of heat and flavor. Both were so amazing I can't even say which one I liked more or which one was hotter. The wings are huge, juicy, and came out well-sauced. I filled up after five of mine (my husband tackled them all) and took the rest home. I don't know how to say best wings in Omaha, since I don't live there and haven't tried enough places, but these were some of the best wings we have EVER had, period. And we get wings almost everywhere we go. Also---the hand-cut (you heard me) fries aren't to be passed up on. We tried with the garlic aoili, so good, and a huge basket for $6. Our server was great. They are always busy, so give them some grace. We came during late lunch, got lucky and got seated right away, and it was still a revolving door of people, tables don't sit empty for long. They don't take reservations, and I understand why. They have limited space and when full, you sign up on the Board, there is a bar next door you can also receive a buzzer and go have a few drinks while you wait. This place is definitely worth the wait and we will repeatedly be back when we make it up to Omaha.

Delicious food! Isn't that the most important thing at a restaurant?! Of course it is! Everett's…read moredefinitely deserves 5 stars on that category. More about that in a moment. In addition, our server Laura was great -- friendly, efficient, came back to check on us, refilled water glasses, prompt with the food and with our bill. The atmosphere was just ok. Some eclectic posters adorned the walls. There were a couple of large tv screens tuned to a sports channel. Interior seemed a bit dark for a sunny mid-afternoon. But the food! My wife & I shared a BBQ Pulled Pork and Bacon Burger with a side of Branding Potatoes plus a Fry Basket option #3 (asian). Each item was totally delicious -- amazing blends of flavors! I cannot give enough praise. Some creative genius (maybe several of them) was involved in cooking up this kind of flavorful delight! Highly recommend!!

TONS of seating and the servers are great. We tried some new items out this time. If you're looking for a mocktail - try the berry basil smash. It's light refreshing, and packed with some fruity flavors. The stir fry noodle dish (I removed the egg) was delicious but VERY salty. Lots of good texture and flavors happening. Tuna poke was delicious and fresh! There is a paid garage and street meters for parking.

We typically start off with the bacon fondue fries, they are astounding, and is a repeat order EVERY single time. The first time we ate here I got the BBQ Chicken Mac & Cheese. This literally was like I was experiencing eating mac & cheese for the first time all over again. I personally love how the cheese sauce is a little more on the liquidly side, but not too much where the noodles don't keep any on them. The barbecue sauce used pairs sooooo well with the cheesy liquidly goodness, and the chicken and green onion tops it all off with the perfect crunch! Past the food, I love the beers here and love a good brewery vibe you get, you can for sure taste how much effort goes into their local drafts. Will always be at the top of my list for date nights or a quick bite and drink.
