The Tipsy Pig isn't in my usual neck of the woods (I'm farther southeast), so this was my first visit. I was already out west and spotted they were doing "The Grinch" Christmas pop-up--perfect excuse to stop in! The place was adorably decked out in full Grinch theme--super cute and festive inside, totally got me in the holiday spirit. They had a fun seasonal menu going too, so I tried the churro martini and the espresso martini. Both were deliciously desserty and hit the spot perfectly for a 9pm nightcap. The bartenders were friendly, knowledgeable, and whipped up great drinks quickly. You can tell there are some regulars who love the spot, but there were also plenty of us pop-up newcomers--it felt welcoming to everyone. The space is cozy and on the smaller side, so I'd say skip bringing a big group during peak hours, but as a solo visitor, I easily grabbed a seat at the bar. A happening little spot in a surprising west Omaha haunt. This plaza has quite a few popular eateries and tipsy pig can be added to this list as they offer a small food menu in this lounge. We came in with a big-ish group on a Saturday night. It was semi full. Our bartenders set us up with a big table but the service was lacking. It took particularly long to get just a can of soda. They didn't check back on us be group for more drinks. Overall I would say this is a very centrally located spot with an ambiance that gives a downtown feel. First trip to The Tipsy Pig last night for one drink with a friend (we shared the third so technically 1.5 drinks--still a win). The martini menu was delicious! We tried the Bananas Foster, Caramel Macchiato, and Cheesecake Martinis. Bananas came with whipped cream and banana and the cheesecake came with a cherry at the bottom. $13 a piece, or on 'Martini Monday', they're $8! They offer pizza for bites ($15). This is one of our go-to bars. It is fantastic for a before or after-dinner cocktail. They have a great selection of wine, and my husband can have his Coors light on tap! The ladies behind the bar are always lovely. They also have a beautiful patio outside if the weather is nice. I'm from CA I have never experienced as much prejudice and racism until I arrived here at this bar. The bartender SAM had an attitude towards me and showed complete favoritism as she showed two male men how to beat a gambling game they offer at the bar in favor for "tipping" her cash. I really wanted to like this place - cute name, fun decor, totally grammable. The drinks were fine - not great but not bad. However, one of the members of our party didn't have an ID, and left without any sort of scene at all. It should be noted that several of the younger women at our table were not asked for any sort of ID. After our friend left, the bartender (who is apparently the owner) felt the need to come over to our table to lecture us about how to treat bar staff and that alcohol is a privilege, not a right. This went on for several minutes and made all of us deeply uncomfortable, especially with his claims that our friend had been rude, despite the fact that we had all witnessed the opposite of this happening. Once he finished lecturing us, he went outside for a cigarette, leaving the bar unattended. It completely ruined what had been shaping up to be a fun night. We all left as soon as we could cash out and were extremely disappointed, as we thought we had found a home for our weekly happy hour. Honestly kinda bummed that this place somewhat sucks. Went here on a Thursday night and the place is dead which understandable, it just opened. The bartender was nice but had "never bartended before". When you're paying over $10 a drink your employees should be somewhat trained. And if not trained to not say that. They don't have a menu so have fun ordering. Places like this should have a menu regardless of where they are in their management changes. Since they don't serve food you would expect to go here and get a cute, creative, fancy drink however without a menu the experience is pretty non existent. HOWEVER the bartender did offer up a refreshing raspberry mojito. Which was great. Got the bill and it was $20 for a shot of chartreuse and my drink. Met my wife and her friends at the Tipsy Pig 3/4/22. It was sad to see that they are no longer a dog friendly bar ("health department shut them down"). On top of that they were out of Mezcal and missing one ingredient for an espresso martini. Which is no big deal, but the margaritas we got instead were repulsive. Not to mention, one was spilled on a member of our group with zero apology. Our waitress had a terrible attitude and had no desire to be there. A unique find in a part of town that doesn't have an upscale bar. The color scheme inside the restaurant is to be desired, absolutey loved the interior decorating. This is a perfect spot to meet one or a small group of people for drinks. This establishment doesn't offer food at this time which I hope will change in the future.
