Wouldn't recommend unless you had no where else to go. Vibes & service were off. We went in on a Saturday evening, there was live music but not a band or act to where you had to pay to get in. It was DEAD, one other couple at the bar and 1-2 tables. We walked up to the bar, the bartender came over to us put his hands on the bar & just stared at us getting our purses off, putting them down, sitting down, etc. I didn't have a menu in front or close of me, so I had to ask my friend to pass me one from further down the bar, again the bartender was right in front of us, hasn't said a word, didn't hand us menus, bring water, etc. we took out our Omaha Passport Martini books and the first thing he finally says to us is "oh you have the passports", and we were like oh yes, then he flips open my menu and goes here's your options and points to the martini section. I asked for anything mocktail martini and my friend got one on the menu and didn't finish it. I can't remember the name but it was orange, like nyquill and tasted really bad. Tonight we got here around 5:50 and saw a sign on the door that the speakeasy won't be open till 6:15 so not sure if it's because it's the weeknight hrs or because there was a private party going on at the main bar. We started off getting their special Christmas cocktails. I got the Snow Bird and my husband got the Not the buttons. The drinks were pretty disappointing, my husband couldn't even finish a quarter of his. The Snow Bird had a coconut foam on top that was absolutely gross in my personal opinion, but the drink itself was fine once I got the straw and avoided the foam. Both of us got burgers with fries and the burgers were very delicious. I would have liked to have some seasonings on the fries though. The staff were welcoming and as attentive as they could be with only having two of them managing about 7 tables and one bartender. The space is very festive and decorated so cozy. Every time the Barnato speakeasy hosts a themed pop-up, I immediately send it to my friends or boyfriend and we are there. Their theming and decor is always phenomenal and truly makes the experience magical. I have most recently gone to their halloween pop-up, and their Christmas one as well, and both were equally jaw-dropping when it comes to presentation. The service is always great as well, and our first time at Barnato we were confused on how to locate the speakeasy (since we had never been to one before) and the staff was very helpful. My one note is that their holiday mixed drinks have consistently been nicer to look at than to taste, but we mostly come for the theming anyhow. read more

I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place yet! Barnato has a really great vibe, both in the main bar and the speakeasy in the back. The drinks are definitely on the pricey side, but they are all unique and really delicious. The speakeasy has rotating themes, and I most recently visited during the Christmas pop up. I will say the frustrating part of my last visit was that there was a private party going on in the main bar, and they were able to go in and out to the speakeasy without waiting in line, which resulted in my boyfriend and I waiting for an hour to get in on a Thursday. My company hosted a boutique/networking event here and it was a feat space for it! Plenty of room and plenty of barriers to set apart vendors. The bar was open all night and had a full menu of great drink options--from what I heard the mule was the favorite, and is probably my favorite in town! The charcuterie spread was very impressive, and there were also 3 hot dishes including meatballs and crab dip which came with bread to dip it onto. The crab dip was amazing! Meatballs could have had a bit more flavor in my opinion. The cheese/meat/etc. selection was impressive, and I loved that they had a large amount of candies nuts which are some of my favorite. Service was great as well, and the music was kept at a good volume all night. Overall a great event--I wouldn't have changed a thing! Definitely a good spot for a small/medium sized event like this. First time coming and won't be the last. Came for a live show a few days ago and it was a blast. There is something super special about getting to be so close to the stage especially when it's someone you're a big fan of. You can see in the attached picture where we stood when we walked in. Make sure that you ask to visit the speakeasy! We got the truffle tots (delicious, not too much truffle), and the fried chicken. It was not breaded well and the breading was flaking off so I wouldn't recommend. The bartenders did a great job keeping up with demand and I don't have any complaints. The sound was great, it was loud, and you can really see from wherever you stand. The GA tickets are just fine with access to the patio area. Can't wait to return! read more

There for an event-food was abysmal at best. After the event I moved to the outer bar from the speakeasy. Not because of drinking to much, at some point the management refused service at outer bar said everyone had had to move the pub for continued service. Needless to say we left. Never in all my life have I seen such poor management, just plain dumb. read more

Cute place with decent cocktails. I ordered two drinks, one at the front bar which I didn't really enjoy. I ordered the apple cider Manhattan and it really didn't have a hint of apple flavor. The second drink I ordered back in the speakeasy which was okay but would not order again, although the presentation was unique and fun. The ambience of the bar and speakeasy is beautiful, modern, and chic and I would give that a 9/10. However I was unimpressed with the drinks and unimpressed with the service we received at the bar in the front. I had taken two sips of my drink and accidentally knocked it over and spilt it on the bar. I had told the server I spilled my drink and asked if he had a towel or something that I could clean it up with and he basically tossed me a towel and kept on moving and did not acknowledge that I spilled my drink. Whenever this has happened to me in the past, I am usually offered to have a new drink made (which I happily would have paid for). I'm sure he was busy but for a place that is strives to be upscale, I would've expected a little better service. All in all this place is aesthetically pleasing and certainly a nice vibe if you're one to go out for solely that. read more

BUT it is tiny so beware to be in tight loud quarters and/or a waitlist if you get there late. What a fun location. Great hidden bar room, too. Barnato is a bar that serves food now. Tried the charcuterie offerings and a taster of a roast beef meal that were both delicious. The two drinks I sampled were the spicy tequila one and the mojito. Both satisfied. My experience with this location is that it's popular for private events. Both the main room and the hidden one serve well for that. I heard from a peer that they have concerts in the main room and now I want to go back and see someone play there. read more

Really cool venue -- I love the art deco vibe -- but I think it's silly that they opened the curtains onto the Bentley showroom when they opened. The vibe was much nicer when the curtain was closed, because it's just your average, harshly-lit car showroom with some nicer-than-average cars in it (but nothing crazy cool to look at). The harsh lighting of the showroom really detracted from the vibe of the bar. Our bartender was a strictly by-the-book type, and we were stuck with on-menu offerings only (none of which were all that great...lots of classic cocktails, but not the best versions of them that I've had). She also was a little hard to track down at times, despite the place being pretty empty. When the cocktails proved less than impressive, I decided to audible to wine, starting with sangria. I have a big sweet tooth, so when I say their sangria was too sweet...yikes. Steer clear. They also had very few wines available; she explained that they were in the process of revamping their wine offerings so were just slowly selling off their current inventory until they were out. Strange approach...and I wasn't the only one in the place who was told my wine was out of stock. I saw at least two other women try to order glasses of wine only to be told they had to choose something else. (Here's a thought...if you're totally revamping your wine menu, maybe draw a line through those that are no longer available on the menu? I figure you'll be printing new menus soon anyway, right?) To be fair, we got there as they opened, and as we were leaving, another bartender showed up who was riffing a bit more. I saw him put a red syrup and white vermouth in a shaker and guessed he was making a Clover Club (not currently on their menu). Sure enough, he was...his first time making one. I mean, kudos to him for experimenting, but this place isn't for you if you've had all the classic cocktails on their menu and are looking for something really new and interesting. Well we flew in for a concert with Hunter Hayes for a special Birthday occasion. The venue (I'm assuming it was Hunter Hayes's group kept changing things. I paid a lot for meet and greet, pictures and Q & A) Anyway the people working for Barnato are rude, everyone was in a bad mood, acted like it was a pain to serve you ( all except for BROOKLYN ) and made the experience that was suppose to be special really bad. Apparently the owners also own the Bently dealership right next door and the people carry that attitude with them to their patrons. The food was ok for a "high end" bar. I was pretty disappointed in the entire ordeal. Unfortunately I feel like Hunter Hayes's people were pretty unorganized with the VIP experience. We left because we got tired of waiting. The main girl was more concerned about selling out the autographed journals than getting the VIP fans ( who paid good money by the way ) taken care of. Hunter's performance by the way was great. Came here for happy hour, but even though they do have a happy hour menu, it wasn't happy hour. From it sounds like, happy hour is only in the winter. Drinks were good though, had their take on an old fashioned, the basil cucumber collins, and Georgia 75. Food was also good. It was odd though because we went right before their concert, so we were told we had to either buy a ticket or leave a few minutes after we ordered food. Super great music venue! It is a nice bookend to The Jewell and The Omaha Lounge downtown. I paid $25 to hear Jenny Tolman and her band. I had heard her before at Buck's in Venice and I can say she is going to be a star! Well worth the price. Unlike Buck's, this venue has a stage and a lighting system. The acoustics aren't as good as The Jewell or The Holland, but still good. It looks like country music is going to be the ticket here. If the owner can pick bands like Buck Bennett, then this place will be a smash. I really didn't see much beer drinking going on. I had a $12 Manhattan. I really want to give this place 5 stars but it just misses the mark. The ambiance and service are fabulous. The drinks however, *sigh*. We got two drinks - the Old Fashioned and the Marksman. The Old Fashioned is our baseline drink. It should be boozy and whiskey forward. Here we could taste everything except the whiskey. The Marksman was a different story. We each got one. They were different colors when they arrived, a bad sign and an indication of inconsistent recipes. This drink is supposed to have a sugar cube in it, but they tasted like alcoholic lemon juice, so I'm pretty sure that was missing. If the mixology can get up to level of the decor and service this place will be a home run. read more

My gf and I bought Halloween costumes specifically for an event there on Halloween. Tickets were $15 on their fb page. We decided to buy at the door instead. When we arrived, the door guy informed us the promoters wanted to now charge $40 per ticket to get in. So instead of paying almost $100 to go listen to music from some random djs we've never heard of, we went somewhere else.
