My boyfriend and I stopped by Catalyst after dinner nearby since it's one of the spots on our martini passport! I had been before, but it was his first time, so I was excited for him to try it. You walk in through the hotel's main entrance and the bar is tucked away in the back, which makes it feel cozy and a little private. It wasn't very busy when we went. I think this spot would be great for a date night! The bartenders were amazing. They were incredibly friendly, explained the drinks, and checked in on us throughout the night. You can tell they really care about the experience of patrons. Our espresso martinis were great and we really enjoyed them! Every time I've visited, their cocktails have been consistently good, and I love that they offer a seasonal menu to switch things up. They also have a patio that looked like it would be so nice in the summer, but it was too cold for us to sit outside this time. We both loved the decor and overall aesthetic. It feels upscale without being too intimidating, Overall, such a great experience and definitely a place we'll keep coming back to! read more

It's my third or fourth time visiting this lounge. Always a mellow experience in this lounge bar. Artsy modern decor give it that "the fact that I'm here makes me cool" vibe. The drinks were SO GOOD that I forgot to take a pic because I sucked it down like I hadn't had water all day. The apps...yum. Tube in croquettes were my favorite! You can rent the lounge space and/or the outdoor space for a private event the floor to ceiling windows open to extend the indoors outdoor. They have built in TVs in a grotto style patio with more lounge seating. There is a bar indoors and one on the patio. I've seen live bands play outside during a cocktail reception and the energy is contagious. A must see intimate venue. read more

Very nice experience at Catalyst, a small sized lounge in the Farnam Hotel downtown. It's well appointed and feels luxe with rich fabrics, modern furnishings and colors, and was nicely decorated for the holidays. It's only 2 blocks from the Gene Leahy Mall, an easy walk from where we were wandering around on our date. The service was attentive and friendly. They were serving a small 5-drink holiday menu but did say they had a beer and wine list. The drinks we got were very strong, but also quite pricey ($15 each). read more

I walked by Catalyst earlier this summer and knew immediately I wanted to check out. Catalyst is a gorgeous addition to the Farnam Hotel with great indoor and outdoor space. After the Gold Rush was our favorite cocktail...we may have enjoyed several... They do have heat lamps available in the outdoor cabana areas so they can be enjoyed during the cooler months, the outdoor fireplace is also a nice touch. My only comment is the outdoor area had some old cigarette butts and leaves built up, for a place like Catalyst, I would have expected that to be taken care of. Visited Catalyst for the first time with a group of friends last night. To get to Catalyst, we were able to walk into the front doors of the Farnham Hotel and straight back down a long hallway to the bar. The interior is very upscale and sophisticated. The outdoor area is also nice with fireplaces and various seating options. The specialty cocktail menu looked good, though I ordered a gimlet and thought it was delicious, very well made and balanced. My friend ordered fries which I tried, and they were very crispy and salted the perfect amount, so I would definitely get these again! The bartenders were great and extremely friendly! They were great for accommodating a large group, and remembered all of us when ordering more drinks. For an upscale-feeling bar, people were in a range of casual to nicer outfits. I thought the drinks may be expensive, as no prices were listed on the menus. For two gimlets, the price was around $24. This is a great date night spot, with more intimate alcoves to be able to talk and the darker romantic feel. The couches and outdoor area are also perfect for smaller groups. Definitely a nice spot if you're looking for a nicer place downtown with great drinks! read more

We stayed at the Farnum Hotel (an Autograph Collection hotel) and not only loved the hotel but the gorgeous Catalyst bar located in the back. It is a classy, beautiful space with a cozy indoor vibe and an amazing outdoor space centered around a big gas fire. It's located close to the Old Market and will be even better when the park front development is finished in front of the hotel. The bartender was awesome and mixed our drinks perfectly. We ordered a charcuterie board and the octopus appetizer. They were both incredible. I highly recommend stopping in for a drink or bite even if you're not staying at the hotel. Came here on a Friday night while we were in town. My husband got an old fashioned and I got their Paloma Fresca. Both were very good! The ambiance was great - very intimate and romantic. They have a great outdoor seating area with a fire place - it was the rowdier side of the bar that night so we stayed inside and sat on the comfortable velvet couches. They also have a nice selection of bites to eat - everything was on the pricer end, but the service was great, so I would say it was worth it for a nice treat. read more

Nice little place for prep of The Astro. Should be a great place when service and staff become acquainted with all the food items and some service hustle. The food is really good. Blue burger is good. Avocado toast is a good helping with brioche toast. Caesar salad comes as long wedges and not tossed so be prepared is all. Again, good food. After a wonderful dinner at the Dynamite restaurant on the same property, we weren't quite ready to leave, so we went into the Landmark hotel outdoor lounge, the Catalyst, where we sat in one of the three cabanas. It was quite windy but in the cabana we had just a gentle breeze and could watch television or just relax and visit. There is also an amazing outdoor fireplace. The space has beautiful style and you can order food and desserts and drinks brought right to your table. It truly capped off a great evening. This is our new favorite lounge outdoor space in Old Market Omaha by far. We highly recommend Catalyst. read more
