My wife and i visited Baileys for Saturday brunch. We were seated right away. I ordered the Nebraska Omelette and my wife ordered the hired hand. The Nebraska omelette was ok. It had a lot of corned beef in i was disappointed that i didn't receive the side of potatoes mentioned in the menu. The gravy on the dish was sparse. My wife was disappointed in the hired hand. There was very little gravy on the biscuits. The biscuits needed the gravy. She had to ask for extra gravy. We think they were low on gravy so they were rationing it. A mid-morning breakfast at Bailey's was very satisfying. The friendly wait staff was attentive. I asked if Bailey's had been around awhile and was told it started in 2007 and is locally owned and operated. In fact, the monthly menu specials are devised by the cooks who work here, a point of pride with the waitress. The space was comfortable and not too noisy. The menu was extensive. I ordered a Denver omelette that came with pancakes(or toast) and "red taters", which were diced hash browns, perfectly browned. The serving size was generous so of course I had to take home part of it. I liked that the silver dollar pancakes weren't plate sized-- just a normal size that was still plenty and tasty. Quick brunch after a morning meeting. Found Bailey's on Yelp and it looked perfect, which turned out to be true. We both had the Nebraska omelette, which has corned beef and redskin potatoes inside, smothered with sausage gravy. Your cardiologist won't like it, but you'll LOVE it! Sometimes the best discoveries occur when you're not too scared to eschew the familiar. On this fine Monday morning, reveling in my first day off in what seemed like forever, I needed to do something to make the day count. For me, that's eating some good food and that's what today was aimed at, and Bailey's did not disappoint. I got the hired hand with a side of the 12 pepper sausage and my partner got the triple meat skillet off the weekly specials menu. From first bite, I knew i wasn't leaving anything on the plate. I'm a huge fan of biscuits and gravy and their gravy was pretty damn tasty! I personally don't enjoy ham steaks but that did not take away from the whole taste and my enjoyment of this meal. The 12 pepper sausage was surprisingly tender and quite enjoyable. The three meat skillet...I'm not ashamed to say that I was definitely sneaking bites of that along the way! The pancakes were a bit on the chewy side but my god the bananas on top were PERFECT! Overall, this place was good! I wouldn't change a single thing. Our server was very friendly and just really good. She got me the "big juice" which, now that I mention it, I was really happy with because the OJ had pulp!! Mannnn we were craving eggs benny so darn bad this morning... first thought, try one of our go-to's. Second, try something DIFFERENT! Ordered the Grinch Mimosa - yea... the bright green drink you'll eventually see in the pictures - sans maraschino cherries sadly. I'm guessing they were out. Wasn't too bad, but definitely gives you a kick in the butt if you aren't already awake! Hard pressed on deciding what we wanted to split, so we ordered it all! Off of their breakfast feature menu, that Waffle Delight called my name hard. Light, fluffy and non stoggy Belgian waffle with fresh fruit mixed with this oh-so-wonderful whipped cream cheese. Didn't even need the syrup offered! Super refreshing, airy in a good way... if I'm honest I'm not sure one was enough! Definitely recommend it to cut the savory dishes. Your classic Biscuits and Gravy... and let me tell you, probably the first B&G made outside of my kitchen, that ISNT salty as hell. The right amount of sausage to gravy ratio, zero flour clumps or that annoying split that happens sometimes. Zero grease which my gut was so happy about. The biscuits were also light and airy, sorta melt in your mouth, easy to swallow (we've all had those ones where it takes a few sips of water to get it down). Did I mention... they aren't salty? Like... at all! If you love B&G like we do, you outta try theirs. That Classic Eggs Benny y'all... I'm used to there being asparagus on classic's, but their perfectly poached eggs and bright as the sun hollandaise sauce sorta made me forget about it not being there. Did I miss it? Yes... but that toasty, warm English muffin smothered might've made up for it. I'm guessing someone rubbed their face and a few eyebrow hairs fell, cause we had two in the hollandaise but it happens! Truthfully, I've had better egg benny's so I can't say this one blew too much air up my skirt but the hash browns were crispy (always a plus in my book!) and oh-so seasoned just right; they're also an excellent carrier for any left over gravy.. just sayin'.. Parking is a pain, so I recommend parking in the Bronco's empty lot next door. But all in all, it's a quaint, cute little breakfast nook and I'm sure we'll be back to try some more eats! read more

We heard so many good things about Bailey's Breakfast we just had to try it. Pretty crowed and about 30 min wait on Sunday around 10:30am... which is expected for a popular place. Food- I started off with a Bloody Mary and it came out fully garnished. Probably one of the best Bloody Mary's I've ever had. It was dressed with bacon, celery, olives, pickles, and lemon. It had just the right amount of zing to it to satisfy my pallet. Super delicious. I also ordered the Denver Omelette/potatoes/wheat toast.... All made to perfection. Others I was with ordered biscuit and gravy (perfect) Eggs Benedict (perfect)! Eggs and bacon (perfect). The mermosa's ordered (perfect) and chocolate milk (perfect). This was for sure well worth the drive. Service- was excellent received by Sarah. Orders were taken perfectly and food came out in a timely manner. Sarah was friendly and very personable. Job well done Ambiance- restaurant is your standard coffee shop vide, and pretty small. When crowed/busy you have to wait outside because of the tight quarters. I had the opportunity to dine here with my family on Sunday morning. Despite it being busier, we were able to get a table quicker than they initially told us! My husband ordered biscuits and gravy for himself with a side of their spicy sausage links, which he said was really good. I ended up ordering the California Benedict which included a turkey sausage patty (I subbed this out for their bacon), avocado, hollandaise sauce, egg whites (the server suggested getting it with a poached egg instead), and spinach. I also got a side of hash browns, which were perfectly crisp! My meal was unfortunately a bit of a letdown in some regards. The eggs on my Benedict were not poached, but more hard boiled. With a poached egg, half the fun of it is having the runny yolk, so that was a bummer. The spinach was just raw, which was also a bummer because it was supposed to be sautéed, which would have made it much better. I don't especially love the texture of raw spinach, so it wasn't a slam dunk. In hindsight, I probably should've asked for new eggs to better enjoy my meal. Our service was absolutely fantastic though. Our waitress was very kind and welcoming. I went back and forth between a 3 and 4 for this review, but I think the service definitely bumped things up. This is one of the best breakfast spots in town. On top of great service, the food here is incredible. I had the sweet corn cakes. The eggs and bacon that came on the side were cooked perfectly, and the corn cakes themselves were phenomenal. They are topped with a little chipotle mayo, avocado, and a salsa verde that gives the meal a great kick. I also had the cranberry mimosa holiday special, and it was so refreshing. Called early this morning around 8:15 and spoke to Mia! Great customer service on the phone & was super helpful when it came to alerting the staff/cooks about our daughter's peanut allergy! Man, what can I say about Bailey's Breakfast & Lunch? A complete knockout! I've been here a few times while I've been in town for work and have never been disappointed. Little bit of a wait, about 30-35 mins, but that's to be expected when the place is one of the top breakfast spots in Omaha. Limited standing room inside, so the majority of the standing room is outdoors. So make sure to dress weather appropriate. Today I decided to go with the Biscuits and Gravy plate and a Bailey's Mimosa. Seriously one of the best B's & G's I have had in Omaha. Stopped in on a nice morning to score a table outside. Ordered the same thing I've had on my previous two visits. The half order of classic Eggs Benedict. My first order came out and upon cutting into my poached egg discovered it was fully cooked...hard yoke. I hate to send things back but this wasn't even close to poached. My waiter came out and was super nice about it and took my whole plate to be redone. I had noticed they started putting only one very thin slice of ham on it (they used to put two) so I asked for an additional slice on my redone order of course I was willing to pay for it. Second order came out promptly but without the extra slice of ham, however after a few minutes my waiter came out with it apologizing. No big deal but grateful for the second very thin slice of ham as I could barely taste the ham. Helped a bit. The hash browns were nice and crispy but SUPER salty, so salty I couldn't eat them. First order I received was just as salty as I tasted them before sending the plate back. The eggs benedict actually needed a bit of salt due to lack of salty ham. The fresh fruit that came with it was awesome! Service was great just bummed that I used to love this breakfast choice. May need to revisit the menu next time! read more

Baileys is 100% excellent on both food and service! I'm a food service professional and, have been in the industry for over 25 years. I've worked FOH and BOH. Mostly BOH as everything from a pantry cook to Executive Chef so, I'm a little analytical when I go out. We picked basic menu items, ham and cheese scrambled eggs, eggs over easy. The house made sausage patties were very flavorful. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Service was on point. Food came out quickly from the kitchen. I remember when Bailey's had amazing breakfasts. We decided to go there since it had been quite a few years. We both ordered the classic breakfast, eggs, hash browns, & sausage around 8:45 am, right before their morning rush. When we got our breakfast, the hash browns were a huge disappointment. They lacked the crispness and warmth you get when they come off the griddle. I think they cooked their hash browns ahead of time for the morning rush and then sat out too long. I let the waitress know and she replaced the hash browns. Unfortunately, it took at least 10 min for fresh ones, and I had already eaten my eggs and sausage while still warm. I understand meal prep, and making hash browns ahead for a quick turnaround. But really? There is no reason why the cook didn't do a "quick" reheat on a hot griddle to freshen the hash browns up for warmth and crispness. I will not be recommending Bailey's. read more

I had heard all good things about this place and it definitely lived up to the hype. We walked in and it was a 30 minute wait which was fine because once we ordered the food came very quick! I ordered the island mimosa which is orange juice, pineapple juice, champagne and Curacao. The drink was very good i wish they had a bottomless option. For my meal i couldn't decide between the hired hand or a traditional pancake breakfast. I ended up getting half of a hired hand which is Ham, a biscuit, eggs, and sausage gravy over hash browns. The ham was fresh and flavorful and the gravy had that home made feel! It's going to be hard to try anything else on the menu because this was so good! I also got a short stack of pancakes. This is really a 3.5 out of 5, but Yelp doesn't do half stars. ;-) Hubby got the truckers platter because it comes with three different kinds of sausage to try, and I got the corn cake because we are in corn country. Both of us got scrambled eggs with our meals, where were creamy and nicely cooked. The hash browns were crispy, some of the best I've ever had. The corn cakes were amazing - great balance of sweet from the corn, tangy from the pico, and spicy from the sauce. The sausages on the truckers platter were each so different - one was spicy, one was herby, and the other was a typical breakfast sausage flavor - all were good.
