Great dinner place! Looks very popular with the locals. Great Wagyu burgers! Great fried cheese curds! Great root beer float! Clean, well appointed, good service.
We visited Charred with a group of 8 on a Friday night. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were sat, as there weren't too many people there. I had a Strawberry "Mock"arita, which was a great option for a mocktail. The spicy chicken sandwich was delicious and a great portion. I thought the spice level was perfect, but my husband had 1/4 of my burger and was on the spice struggle bus, so that might be something to consider if you're not big on spice! I took off a star for service. We didn't see our server after our food was delivered, so no one got refills and my husband couldn't get the sauce that was left off the tray for his fries.
We love Charred. They might have the best burgers in Omaha and I know for sure they have the best tater tots and lemonade. I generally have a rule that if a restaurant has a small menu that the food is better and Charred really sticks to their lane and proves the point. Everything I've had there is top notch. The service is always great, they serve the food hot and fresh. They also have a great patio outside for when the weather is nice. One of my son's favorite things is the little bucket of toys they give to him when we get seated.
I am usually not a burger girlie, they just never seem to wow me and there's always something better on the menu to get. That being said, I gave charred a try as it looked good and I finally got a "wow" from the burgers. I've been there twice now, tried the Fungi burger, breakfast burger, beer cheese fries, root beer float, and strawberry lemonade and everything I had was delicious. This is some of the most flavorful meat I've had on a burger ever, the wagyu is probably a big reason why but they also season them so well. Same with the fries, super seasoned and unique. The beer cheese is good, lemonade is good, and the root beer float was good. I have yet to try something I haven't liked and I will for sure be back to try other burger flavors. This place is genuinely awesome.
Went out for lunch at Charred Burger + Bar for a quick bite, plus it was a 5 minute drive from home heck yea! Surprisingly not busy for a Sunday which made the setting nice and not overstimulating. I tried the Jalapeño Popper and my husband had their charred burger. The jalapeño burger was the right amount of spicy, and had a nice layer of cream cheese. The charred burger had cotija cheese, I took a bite as well and it was delicious as well. Washed everything down with their raspberry tequila.
Our first this location. Have been to the Lincoln one. Apparently are 3 in Omaha area. We are first customers today lunch. Breakfast burger, rare prep, for myself. B having Fungi variation burger. And all is excellent.
Amazing burgers over at Charred! Went with a big group of 10 in the afternoon and they were very accommodating. The food took a while to come out but everyone's came out at the same time which is like magic! I got the breakfast burger and it was delicious - highly recommend any burger with an egg on it. I also got a side of fries with garlic aioli on the side and they were also both superb. All around, after a good workout, this really hit the spot!
Came here with some burger cravings and left feeling satiated! The burgers were absolutely delicious, especially the french dip burger! I would rate the french dip a 9/10 and breakfast burger 7/10 since it had way too much seasoning, the pickles were so delicious and creative, but you could tell the wings were frozen so i don't recommend. Our wait wasn't too long, but it looked messy, NONE of the tables were bussed and they did not prebus our table. Moreover, this place feels a little too industrial for me, i'm not a fan of the metal tables and plates. Overall, The food was great but i'd recommend getting a pickup order instead of dining in :p
This place seems very serious about their beef... but it's a facade. When I ordered, the server didn't ask how I wanted it cooked. So I asked about that. He said it's usually cooked medium, which is what I wanted. It came out WELL done. The fries were your regular frozen fries. Not caring about your fries when you're giving the facade of caring about the beef is weird. Walking in with their aesthetic, I thought it'd be a good burger place. I was not pleasantly surprised.
Always guaranteed to get a good burger here. The seating is comfy and there's a cool patio outdoors. The menu is simple, which is perfect for a burger place. They have all the classic burgers you could want, and some special ones to spice it up. You do have to order a separate side, no burger comes with a side. The fried and cheese balls are amazing. The fries come with a sauce. The honey sriracha aioli and beer cheese dips were excellent. Everything is well seasoned. The gluten free bun was really good. It was sturdy and soft, but came for $1.50 extra. The burgers were cooked medium/medium rare- and that's my favorite. I like their cocktails and mules as well. The service was friendly, nice, and quick.
We arrived for a Sunday lunch with the whole family around noon and had a wonderful experience again with Charred. The service and food both exceeded our expectations! We were pleasantly surprised they had some toys for the kids to play with while we waited which was a huge bonus since we forgot ours at home. It's so appreciated when restaurants think of kids, too! I went for their Carolina BBQ burger with onion rings for something different than my usual. To my surprise, the onion rings are thick, extra crispy and hearty for the portion you're given. Here all sides are extra - so that's something to consider when ordering a burger. Kids meals were a huge hit for the boys - their take on a grilled cheese with sourdough bread was a pleasant surprise. It was nice they included a fruit option as a side, too! We will definitely continue to make Charred one of our favorite burger stops!
I stopped here to eat and sat at the bar. I have zero complaints about the service. Bartender was great, hosts were on top of a busy night. No issues there. The vibe was good and the place was cute. I didn't love the food. I only got photos of the cheesy pickle appetizer. Good in concept but could use some work on execution. They should be fried much longer and the pickle to cheese ratio needs more cheese or for the pickle to be a bit more cooked. I got the classic burger and added jalapenos. There was nothing WRONG with the burger but all I could taste was the patty. None of the toppings were flavorful enough to make any impact at all. The fries were okay, but I would have liked them a bit thicker and with the amount of seasoning I expected more flavor but really they just tasted salty. The Lake Beast IPA was good if it's still there next time you visit. I'll give them another try at some point but I won't be rushing back.

If you plan to bring a group, I'd definitely see about getting a reservation or allotting time to wait. The inside had an upscale bar and grill vibe to it with lots of natural light and a decent amount of open seating. The bartender took care of us and was very helpful and timely. I went for their house made strawberry lemonade and their classic burger with a gluten free bun. The lemonade was very refreshing and not overall sweet. There is no refills on the lemonade but the glass was good sized so I didn't need one. The burger was well seasoned and made. Very delicious! The gluten free bun held out and didn't disintegrate which was a plus. There were different sauces to choose from to pair along with the fries (which did not come with the burger and were an add on). I went with the garlic aioli which was very garlicky, but I really loved it. If you don't like a strong garlic taste, I'd go for a different flavor. Overall the meal was tasty and satisfying. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu.
My husband raved about this burger place and now I can see why. This location doesn't seem as busy as the other one. The service was quick. The food was great, fresh and tasty. My favorite thing on the menu was the cheese curds. The breading on the cheese is delicious and crunchy. I ordered the burger with a ketchup jam which I wish there was more of. It was yummy though. My daughter ordered off the kid menu; chicken nuggets, Fries, a drink and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Our bill for the 3 of us came out to $40 something and some change. Not bad if you ask me! Food was fantastic. My fiancé were surprised it wasn't busy for being a Sunday afternoon but NOT complaining!! Food came out wonderful and in a timely manner. Our waitress was great. Very convenient for a good lunch break for sure of you work in the area! read more
I will forever love charred. Consistently great every time. Some of my fav fries in omaha. Plus that garlic aioli omg. Personal fav burger is the French dip but really all of them are good. The Moscow mules are also so good. Can get busy but if you have patience, then it's fine. read more

This was our first time trying this place. The burgers were cooked to perfection and very juicy and delicious . We were able to get them with a lettuce wrap. The fried pickles were yummy. Would highly recommend, wish they had these on the east coast! read more

The burgers are truly good quality burgers and a very good price. They have a good selection of drinks and sides and you cannot go wrong with the one you choose. The service is super fast and people are super friendly. The one thing I did not love and felt like had no flavor at all was the chicken sandwich, it felt like something was missing. read more

Service was very slow, even when it was just us and one other table in there. Took 30-45 minutes to get our food! Drinks were strong and tasty! The jalapeño aoli was delicious with the fries and the curds! Cheese curds were so good! read more
Tried out the newest location of Charred. Have been to their original location a handful of times. This experience was definitely comparable regarding taste. I enjoyed the bbq bacon cheese burger, tots and a spiked lemonade. Everything came out as expected but nothing over the top. Glad for a closer location in the La Vista area. read more

Wow. Can't believe we have put off coming here for so long! Absolutely delish food. The burgers are so juicy with a great menu to choose from! The classic burger was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time! We got a side of fries and choosing between all of their dipping sauces was so hard but we settled on the garlic aioli and jalapeño aioli and we left nothing on our plates. We inhaled everything that was put in front of us. Charred will probably be one of go tos from here on out! read more

I love Charred's burgers, onion rings, and tater tots. My go to burgers are the Breakfast burger and the Fungi burger. I normally get to go, but the few times I have sat in the restaurant have been good experiences. Their onion rings are some of my favorite I've had and I really like their vodka lemonades. I don't think you can go wrong with a burger here and every time I have gone I have had great service. I also like the seating and bar. It has a good vibe and I have recommended Charred to many! I really love Chatted Burger + Bar and recommend it! read more

We where looking somewhere to eat dinner . On V day . Yes yes I know we didn't plan ahead and didn't make reservations anywhere . So we came up to this place Charred Burger . Stop by and asked the wait for 2 . Staff memeber said I could seat you now . I was like ok let me go get wife . Ok let's start with the review. lol Place is very clean love the atmosphere the vibe was good . We sat down . Waiter was awesome ! The wait was a bit long which it was understandable due to being VDay for our food Drinks kept on coming our waiter was awesome . We ordered a app which was some cheese curds they were amazing! The ranch though was one of the best! Then we got our burgers which were so freaking amazing ! Everything all around was amazing I think we found our burger place here in Omaha, by the way we just moved here from Arizona! Thank you once again .and sorry for the long review ! 5/5 stars!! Our server was super friendly and attentive, great job! It wasn't too busy on a Monday night so it was easy to get a table and wasn't too loud. The jalapeño popper burger was good but I prefer the bacon ranch burger I had last time. I wish the burger came with fries or tots included as is normal, but it doesn't so don't forget to order fries or tots on the side if you want any! The tots were just as crunchy and delicious as the first time! The fried cheesy pickle spears were good but I'd much prefer just a normal fried pickle chips, though it was fun to try something a little different. I had the Cherry limeade gin drink and it was so good and I would definitely order it again! read more

Burgers have a special place in my heart. And my stomach. Somehow - they're the only type of food I ever actually seem to crave. As a result - I do consider my mouth to be somewhat of a burger expert. That being said - I also love French fries. Who doesn't? (If you don't, you should probably seek help...) My most recent visit to Charred left me feeling full and satisfied. My burger was cooked perfectly, loaded up on a tasty bun, and the patty was fresh, great quality, and just the right size. As far as a good, all-around burger - you can't go wrong with Charred. My only complaint, is that while the burger was very good - it didn't quite give the "shock and awe" I was hoping for. I felt it was just somewhat lacking. But that's okay! I'd rather it be done right and taste good, than overdone and come out wrong. But now let me tell you about THE FRIES. We ordered the Haystack - and we did not leave any of the Haystack for our amazing server to take away. No fry left behind. These little golden delights are the perfect size, adequately salted, with the perfect balance of crispy and fluffy on the inside. The beer cheese over the top was phenomenal (can I get a glass full next time?), and honestly, thinking about this dish makes me want to go back right now. Last but not least - the Vodka Lemonades that seem to be a specialty in the Charred establishments are delicious. Loads of real fruit, delicious house made lemonade, my only complaint is the fact my straw wasn't big enough to slurp down all the vodka infused fruit chunks. Make sure when you visit, you order a few. read more

I've been coming here for about 2 years and it's one of my favorite places here in Omaha! Sometime last year they dropped off a bit with the quality and taste, but they've gone back to their original form, juicy and delicious! I've tried almost every single burger on there minus 2 or 3. Every single one is delicious. The service has been great, always refilling our drinks and are quick with cooking our meals. Every friend I've brought here loves this place. If you ever need a place to bring a family or friend who is from out of town, this is perfect! Great selection of drinks and food (salads, sandwiches, wings, etc)! There are a lot of seats inside with booths or a long table top as well as outdoor seating. The ambiance has a rustic vibe! Plenty of parking in the shopping area. If you want to get the fungi burger, I'd suggested getting sautéed mushrooms rather than roasted. So much better! read more
Giving a three-star rating - this place was fine, but didn't knock our socks off. The strawberry lemonade was very good and came in a large mason jar. I ordered the charred salad which was okay. It seemed like a salad I could easily make ay home and nothing excited me too much about it. My husband ordered the Charred burger which was my favorite part of the meal. The tomato jam on this burger was excellent! Not the best burgers in town, but a decent spot with fair prices. read more

Burger, fries, and the drink were all delicious! I loved the classic burger with garlic aioli, and the fries were perfectly seasoned. The brownie sundae looks good, but honestly I wouldn't order it again. We were told the wait would be 40 minutes and got sat in only about 15. The only problem I saw was that instead of calling out your name, you HAVE to be watching for a text or you'll get skipped. There was a group waiting right in front of the host stand that got skipped just because they didn't notice the text saying their table was ready. Other than that, great service! read more
