If you are a hot dog fan you will appreciate Weinerschnitzel. Maybe not your authentic Chicagoland dog, but a good representation. Purchased the Chicago Dog and and the Junkyard. Chicago Fog hit the right notes, plus included celery salt. Junkyard is your standard chili dog ++. A little more pricey than I would prefer, but all in all a good eat. read more

I grew up in California and Weinerschnitzel were everywhere. So I was happy to see they are now in Omaha. I had the kraut dog and fries and enjoyed the food. Service was friendly and efficient, and they apologized for a short delay is getting out the order. Post pandemic fast food customer service is generally lacking but Weinerschnitzel service was well above standard. The store is smaller than I expected, with only 4 tables. They accept contactless payment and serve Coke products, so I was a happy customer. read more

My first time at Weinerschnitzel! I was encouraged to try it after a UNO women's basketball game and it was awesome. The employees were on the ball attentive and pleasant. Zaiara recommended both the chili dog and the double cheeseburger and I was amazed at how great both were. The cheeseburger was up there with the best cheeseburger I've had at Wendy's or Culver's! Made perfect! We had a Reece's shake and my daughter thought it was better than DQ or Culver's! Thank God Omaha finally had a weinerschnitzel, the hot dogs alone are worth 4 stars, I always upgrade to all beef, the extra money is completely worth it. The chili sauce and cheese are also great, and make great chili cheese fries, which I also recommend. The fries are mid, but if you add chilli and cheese they become great. The drive through is the way to go, as the dining room is tiny. read more

Cashier was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Did not ring up our order correctly and ended up charging us an extra 8 dollars for our combos (ended up $17 for a two dog meal instead of $9). Refused to correct the mistake. Corn dogs were of frozen cafeteria quality and the tea was not mixed well. Chili dog was okay, but not as good as Sonic's.
