    Beer Cheese Burger
    Julia Y.

Was intrigued by the wagyu burgers and brought my brother here to celebrate his birthday. The space is nice, you have adequate space and don't feel crammed next to other tables despite the limited space in the restaurant. The service was quick and attentive throughout the meal as well. I ordered a mango cart beer which I really enjoyed! Very sweet and light, almost like a cider. My brother tried the cranberry mocktail - which was actually similar to a spritz and that surprised me haha! I ordered a vegetarian sandwich, which I know is not going to be the item that receives the most attention here, but hey - us vegetarians want to take our family out for burgers - so it is always a valued touch to the menu! I enjoyed the chickpea patty that felt at least somewhat homemade, it was not a Morningstar or gardein patty haha! I could have gone for some more flavor or spicy, but the avocado was good. I ended up dipping it in the sauce that came with my cheese curds - the honey sriracha aioli. THAT SAUCE - the best part of my visit to Charred! Fabulous. Not too spicy, but is sweet and has a great kick. I ordered a side of cheese curds with my meal. Be aware that the burgers and the sides are sold separately. My brother ordered the beer cheese burger that has onions and beer cheese sauce. He said that the burger was super juicy and tender, he could tell it was a quality cut of meat! What took the burger from high standing to mid was the beer cheese. My brother reported that it tasted fake, like velveeta. Maybe this is normal for beer cheese? But the fake flavor really took away from the meal. The French fries that he ordered were GREAT though, and we chowed down on those! For dessert, we tried the bacon and croissant sundae. I only ate the croissant- which was hot and crispy on the outside while being fluffy on the inside! My brother said it was a blend he didn't expect and that it was interesting and satisfying. Overall, as someone I consider a burger fanatic - my brother said he wouldn't necessarily go out of his way to go again, but if you are in the area and looking for burgers, it's a good spot to stop by.

This burger was one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Was a little skeptical walking in because no one was there. But it was after the lunch hour. The service was great. Very clean and well maintained restaurant with great ambiance.

So happy to have a location open up near us! Fun appetizers and good burgers. My fav appetizer are the Cheesy pickles. I had the Charred burger and my husband had the Carolina. Both were delicious, I especially liked the fried cheese layer on the charred burger.

Classic burger, GF bun with fries. Garlic Aioli.

Service was abysmal not to long after opening this location. Burger was OK, but not worth the high price.

First time at West End Omaha and I'm already plotting my return. Showed up yesterday on a random…read moresnowy afternoon while visiting friends in the area--heard nothing but good things, and wow, it delivered. Walked in around 2:30 pm on a total snow day and basically had the place to myself, which was kind of perfect. The vibe inside is exactly what I want in a bar: dark, moody, a little sexy, with dim lighting and rich wood tones. Total escape from the bland strip-mall parking lot outside. Night-and-day difference the second you step through the door. Happy hour runs every day until 6 pm (huge win), so I grabbed the Toasted & Roasted martini for $9--yes, it comes with a toasted marshmallow garnish that actually works--and it was dangerously good. Sweet, smoky, strong... one of those drinks you sip slowly because you don't want it to end. Paired it with the buffalo chicken sliders + fries and demolished everything. Sliders were spicy without being overkill, sauce was on point, and the fries were perfectly crispy. Service was friendly and quick even though it was quiet, and the bartender checked in just the right amount. Prices felt fair (especially with happy hour), and the whole experience just felt... cool. Like the kind of neighborhood spot you brag about finding. Already texted my local friends that they've been sleeping on this place. West End Omaha, I'll be back--hopefully next time with a bigger group so we can try more of the menu. Highly recommend!

I was really impressed with the large cocktail menu, and I was so happy that they had quite a few true mocktails since I'm pregnant. I tried the virgin spicy marg, which was great and definitely spicy! I also had the brisket quesadilla which was very tasty. Thursdays is 25% off if you show your teacher badge :)

We started off getting their special Christmas cocktails. I got the Snow Bird and my husband got the Not the buttons. The drinks were pretty disappointing, my husband couldn't even finish a quarter of his. The Snow Bird had a coconut foam on top that was absolutely gross in my personal opinion, but the drink itself was fine once I got the straw and avoided the foam. Both of us got burgers with fries and the burgers were very delicious. I would have liked to have some seasonings on the fries though. The staff were welcoming and as attentive as they could be with only having two of them managing about 7 tables and one bartender. The space is very festive and decorated so cozy. Loved the ambiance!

Their theming and decor is always phenomenal and truly makes the experience magical. I have most recently gone to their halloween pop-up, and their Christmas one as well, and both were equally jaw-dropping when it comes to presentation. The service is always great as well, and our first time at Barnato we were confused on how to locate the speakeasy (since we had never been to one before) and the staff was very helpful. My one note is that their holiday mixed drinks have consistently been nicer to look at than to taste, but we mostly come for the theming anyhow.
