This list of awards sets a high bar.

Stella's has earned many awards over the years and those are proudly noted on a card kept with the menus on each table. It had been on my list of places to try for some time -- and now I was in the area at lunchtime... With expectations high, I was ready for a great meal. Sadly, my experience fell short of the mark. I like the fact that their hamburger meat is never frozen and is hand-smashed on the grill. I like that they serve them "with everything" and clearly state that means lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and mayo. So why then, are there additional charges for a long list of toppings? You have to pay extra to 'have it your way'. With hindsight, I suppose I should have ordered one of the specialty burgers. But I wanted to taste their basic burger on its own merits (I did splurge for the grilled onions; but they were scantly there). It was a good, solid burger and I enjoyed it. Nevertheless, it fell short of any "best burger" claims. Since I was born in Idaho, I was excited to see that the fries were touted as being from hand-cut, fresh Idaho potatoes. That is the gold standard for fries. Sadly, the fries were disappointing -- mostly soggy, some were somewhat blackened. Overpriced too. 3 stars at most for those fries. On the other hand, service was great while the vibe and atmosphere were super. Those factors salvaged my overall rating of 4 stars.

Vegetarian here! Stellas is a great spot for vegetarians with a group of hungry carnivores. You can swap the patty on any of their burgers. They have an Impossible as well a Veggie patty depending what you're going for. I really like the veggie patty - it sticks together (sooo important) and tastes good without overwhelming the full burger set up. Is it probably frozen? Yes. Is it still delicious? Absolutely!!! Burgers do not come with sides so you'll order those separately. We usually get 1 side per 2 people unless we're over the top hungry. We stopped by at 4PM on a Saturday and were able to sit down right away. If you're with a larger group or during dinner time expect to wait outside or in your car until a table is ready. The place is pretty small and that helps keep it enjoyable for everyone. All the waitstaff were fantastic and very quick to turn over tables! Parking lot is available but is proportional to their seating. Rule of thumb if you can't find a spot the wait is probably longer than you want to endure.

The burgers and service here is so good. We had to wait about 15 minutes to get our table which was more than reasonable for a Friday at 5:45. The staff was quick to get our order and quick to bring it fresh to our table. Definitely recommend.

We have been trying to come here for awhile now. It is usually pretty busy, rightfully so, the food is awesome! Burgers, fries and onion rings are all very flavorful and not greasy.

Stella's is a staple in Bellevue and has been for a while with good reason! The burgers are cooked to juicy perfection as the main attraction, meaning you can leave satisfied with just a plain cheeseburger or hamburger. Then, they kick it up a notch with different pairings that work to completely elevate the burgers. I don't think you can go wrong with ordering anything. The final stamp of amazing is the service. We went on Monday night, which was still busy, but the receptionist was great. We ordered and got our food within 20-30 minutes. Stella's remains the number one burger joint in the area for good reason.

This is their typical burger. Sorry, the fries were so good, I ate over half of them before taking the picture.

I have been going to Stella's since I was able to eat solid food, so around 68 years or so. My dad was an original Stella's patron. The menu has developed over the years. Originally it was burgers and fries. If you want to experience a hamburger that not a frozen patty and fresh cut French fries this is the place to go. Their patties are 6 oz with a variety of toppings to choose from. There is also a kids menu. They have a full service bar, just don't expect frozen drinks. The service is good, the wait staff is friendly and check your table often throughout the meal. Typical low-key bar atmosphere, but they do not stay open as late as legally allowed.

The only flavor this burger had was battery acid. Tried this burger joint 3 times and each time i have been disappointed. There patties don't even have SALT and PEPPER. I will never return to this overhyped burger joint. I'd rather have a double cheese burger from McDonalds. And the service was absolute trash. Dirty looks and 1 question every 30 minutes is not worth paying OVER $30 dollars for.

Food is always great here, quick service once you get seated and affordable for eating out. I always get the Stella's staple burger and it's my favorite. This neighborhood burger joint always feels like a warm hug and hits the spot. Would recommend for a classic burger experience! PS the sweet potato fries are amazing!

Stella's Staple Burger

I got the Stella's staple burger and it was one of the best burgers I have ever had. The service was also good considering how busy it was. It's not very big inside so there might be a wait, but it's worth the wait for sure.

Known for some of the best burgers in Nebraska for a reason! The sweet potato fries were absolutely smackin' too. I love that they have sweet tea (although I had a Modelo instead). The price was also decent, it kinda surprised me that it was so worth it. At first I kinda felt like the server was a bit irritated by something, but at the same time it was just after peak lunch service on a Saturday and she seemed like a good no-bullshit bar manager, she was very quick and did her job very naturally. Surprised they still have such a small space for how popular this spot is. 4.5/5

The way this burger has me daydreaming about it even now...Stella's warrants best burger consideration. The burger and fries are just tasty. Prices are right and ambience is casual and cool. Parking right outside the building.

The staple burger is worth the hype!! It was cooked perfectly along with the waffle fries. If you like ranch - the ranch was also amazing!! Stopped here for a quick bite on a Wednesday night and was surprised by how busy it was! There was a 10-15 min wait but the staff sat us & served us quickly! Great energy, hometown favorite feel, and great priced food! Wish it was a bit bigger so they could seat more people but also the smaller sized venue adds to the appeal/vibe! Will recommend to friends & family :)

Did Stella's in Bellevue change their french fry preparation? I thought they used fresh cut potatoes?

We still use fresh cut fries. Although we no longer cut them on site, we have them delivered every morning from a local produce supplier. There have only been two days that we had to revert to frozen fries because our shipment of fresh cut… Read more

Was told it was more difficult but I had never attempted the previous version. This version consists 4 monstrous burgers off their menu including the Sickies Burger, Chowzilla, the Hangover and Twin Cam burgers, all surrounded by a huge pile of fries. Platter came out quickly, hot and delicious. I was able to take down their masterpiece in about 27 minutes. The entire staff was awesome and even loaded my boys up with free shirts for the victory. With as good as those four burger were, I wouldn't hesitate to order anything off their menu.

We ordered beers, mine being the Sickie's version of wheat beer and big bro going for a cider. It was actually his third pick since they were out of his first two choices. We both liked our drinks. There were only a couple of other diners but background noise from possibly a heating or ventilation system made it a bit difficult to hear. I had a patty melt made with a vegan patty. I think I should have stuck with a beef patty as it was just okay. The side veggies I picked were standard. Big Bro had the pork mac and cheese, which he liked. It even had onion rings on top. If I was really into beer, I would probably come here more. My meal was just so-so. I would pick something else if I come here again.

I was informed that it's street food and to eat it with my hands... I tried friends. I really did. One bite and it not only was all over my hands and face, half the contents were back on my plate. (I suggest tackling the fillings with a fork first to make the sandwich more manageable.) Food was messily delicious and that dark green sauce made it even better. Huge portions... The interior is fun and bright, with Venezuelan flags hung everywhere, nice wooden chairs and tables, and cute signs on the walls about their beer options and desserts. We spoke with the owner a lot, and he was so friendly and cheerful. He definitely wanted to be sure we all loved our food (which we did!) I started with the Papas Rellenas to share with the table, and they were HEAVENLY. Perfectly seasoned beef and mashed potatoes all fried up in a giant ball. Really good with any of their amazing sauces. And definitely ask for a bottle of each of the sauces, because they are all fantastic in their own ways! I tried an Arepa as well as a bit of a starter, and it was also very tasty! I had tried many arepas in Colombia, and this took me right back there. I had the Catira Arepa, and it was so delicately fried up and then filled with scrumptious chicken, shredded cheese, and some of the amazing house sauce (that's one of the amazing sauces mentioned previously). For my entree, I had the Pastichio, which is a Venezuela "lasagna" dish, with tomato, smoked ham, béchamel sauce, and lots of cheese all melted on top. It was extremely decadent in its richness, and the portion size was huge, so you may have some to take home as leftovers and enjoy later! My husband had the Pepito, which was a giant sandwich full of sliced sausage, carne asade (or another protein of your choice), cabbage, potato chips, and tons of their delicious sauces on top. I got to try it, and it was SO flavorful and satisfying! Another giant portion that will leave you with leftovers, too. We ended the meal with two desserts - the flan and the churros: -The flan was great and super sweet, especially with the added chocolate sauce on top - yum. -The churros were my favorite of the two, as they were soft, warm (obviously freshly made) and also came with a few dips to dunk them in like chocolate and caramel. I'm still dreaming about those churros. With a great owner/staff, fun atmosphere, and out of this world amazing food, I definitely recommend you check out El Arepon for yourself!

The place is bright and colorful with a fun diner-style vibe that instantly lifts your mood. I love that the ice cream counter is separate from the food ordering because it makes everything fast and smooth. The hardest part was choosing from all the amazing flavors. I went with my classic single scoop of cotton candy in a cake cone because, honestly, I am basically five years old at heart. My husband stuck to his usual double scoop of butter brickle in a waffle cone, which he claims is the best butter brickle in the metro area. My dad went with Just Peachy in a cake cone, and everyone was happy. The only tiny hiccup was my cone being a little stale and missing the little paper wrapper like my dad's had...which I didn't realize mine was missing until I saw him ripping his off! So yes, I love living on the sweet slightly germy edge. Even so, the ice cream was cool, creamy, and completely delicious. Perfect for a Sunday night treat. We will definitely be back for more!
