This is a favorite lunch spot. A great place to meet for wonderful food, share a chocolate malt and have space for great conversation. The menu has so many choices- I favor the burgers and soups, but there is something for every taste bud. Quality is high and prices are reasonable. Park in back for a private lot or right in front, if one of the spots is open. Certainly an Omaha gem, add Goldberg's to your list if you haven't tried it.

View from our seat outside. We got a kick out of this truck with a large minion character holding American flag.

We enjoyed our meal at Goldbergs on a late Saturday evening. We got there around 9 PM and found a spot outside. It was kind of fun sitting out on Dodge Street and watching the traffic go by, although it was pretty noisy. My husband ordered a burger and I settled on the grilled cheese. Both were really tasty and satisfying. I enjoyed the addition of spinach, tomato and red onion to mine. I would say the portion sizes were also very appropriate. Sometimes when you go to burger places the portions are just way too large, but this was perfect. I do you have to gripe about the fact that I ordered a side salad and there was a decent amount of wilted and slimy lettuce in there. I have absolutely no tolerance for that as it is very easy to spot and pick out. Other than that, our service was good and for our two entrées and a couple of drinks our bill was $32. What a deal!

While eating my cheeseburger (which I have always liked here), it occurred to me is that the Big Bronco is actually better and surely a better value. That should not be the case. Now I was in Dundee and I had just come from Film Streams, but the geography is not worth that much. The really distressing thing to me was paying $2.50 for a tiny portion of quite average cole slaw. I detect this trend as a new revenue enhancer. The Bass Ale on tap nearly made up for the above, but not quite.

I've always loved Goldbergs but having moved away from Omaha several years ago I kind of forgot about it until I drove past today. I stopped in for lunch and had s great experience. My server Vanessa was great and attentive. I was on a lunch break so I was in a bit of a rush but the service and food were great. I'd recommend their chili or soup to start your meal. Today I had the buffalo grilled Chicken sandwich in a pretzel bun. It was excellent as was the jambalaya. They have two locations in Omaha but this one is always my favorite.

20 ounce Bloody Mary with celery, lime, olive and a salted rim. A bit spicier than I love but remedied with a small glass of tomato juice.

It was so busy , yet being sat, and served seemed fast ! Nothing fancy ! Comfortable, I liked sitting by the windows. Only one toilet in each bathroom. So you may have to wait awhile there. My wife and I both ordered the Everett's #2 with pulled chicken, coleslaw, and BBQ sauce. Everything just worked together perfectly. The chicken was tender, the slaw added the right crunch, and the bun tied it all together. It was one of those sandwiches where after the first bite you just look at each other and know you made the right choice. We also ordered the Saucy Rossy wings and they were the perfect heat level for both of us. Not so mild that they're boring and not so hot that you're suffering. Pro tip: get them fried and grilled. The extra texture and flavor are absolutely worth it. My wife is a total Brussels sprouts snob and she was absolutely in love with theirs. The funny part is that I'm usually not much of a Brussels sprouts person, but I kept asking for more off her plate. That alone should tell you how good they were. The fries were okay. Nothing that stole the show, but nothing to complain about either. The service wasn't the best during our visit, but they also had a 30-person table they were dealing with, so it was completely understandable. Even with that, the food was so good that it's already a top 3 meal for my wife. We'll definitely be thinking about those sandwiches, wings, and Brussels sprouts until we're back, and I don't think that'll take very long.

To drink, I ordered the Açaí Cosmopolitan, which was refreshing and well-balanced. For dinner, we shared the crab and sweet corn croquettes, braised short ribs, and scallops. Every dish was excellent. The croquettes were crispy on the outside and packed with flavor, while both the short ribs and scallops were cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. It's always nice to find a restaurant that delivers both great food and a meaningful purpose. Between the delicious meal, thoughtful service, and mission behind the restaurant, Ooh De Lally is absolutely worth a visit.

First, our entrées arrived only about five minutes after the appetizer, even though we had not finished it yet. Second, both entrées arrived cold. I ordered the chicken lasagna, and it tasted reheated and was still cold. My girlfriend's short ribs were the same. We sent both dishes back and ordered burgers instead. I asked for mine medium, but it arrived well-done. What disappointed us the most was that neither the manager nor the chef came to the table to apologize or address the situation. Unfortunately for them, we have both worked in the restaurant industry for years, and we know the proper protocol. At the very least, a manager should approach the table when a guest sends a dish back. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this restaurant.

The location in Countryside Village is a plus too, with a few other bars and spots right around the corner. Personally, the cocktails run a little sweet and the food a little heavy and salty for my taste, though I'll say that's a pretty common profile in Omaha restaurants, so it may land just right depending on what you're used to. One exception worth calling out is the lunch special: the Timber Hacked salad and soup combo for around $22 is a nice, more balanced option and probably my favorite way to eat here. Lots of people love this place and it's easy to see why. Just know your palate going in.

The drinks were okay, nothing bad, but probably not something I would order again next time. It was very easy to make a reservation, which I appreciated, and parking right in front made it super convenient. The place itself was busy and a bit loud, so just something to keep in mind if you are looking for a quieter brunch spot. They do offer patio seating, and while it is right next to the parking lot, it is still nice to be outside. Overall, a solid brunch option, but a bit overpriced for what you get.
