Classic old diner feel because I genuinely don't think it's changed since it first got built. The BEST fast food burger you'll ever have AND THE best hand cut fries Always have to get broncos if I'm in the area and the best part is they have a drive thru!

Really good burgers and we loved the hand cut fries! The tenderloin sandwich was really good too. Restaurant is clean and can seat a lot of people. We will definitely come back the next time we are in Omaha.

Best fast food burger! Their fries are fried in beef tallow and are so good. They always give you so many!!

A must go every time I'm in town. The food has been the same for the last 30 years. Took my 2 year old granddaughter for the first time and she devoured her burger!

I grew up on Bronco's and it still hits the spot. Can't go wrong with the Big Bronco Burger, it's like a home town big mac. Fries are greasey, but it's to be expected. The fry crumbs are a little treat at the end of your meal. I come back time and time again, and enjoy it every time!

Bronco's has been an Omaha staple for decades, and it's easy to see why! It's the most iconic greasy spoon burger joint, slinging burgers and fries, you could ever imagine. I have eaten there many times via drive through and ordering/eating inside. And I definitely recommend eating inside so it's fresh and hot. The second it gets lukewarm or cold in the car on the way home, it loses all the fresh gooey tastiness. The ambiance inside is very diner-ish with grey, white, and red booths and tables. It's also great for kids, as they have a wall of pinball machines from the likes of Dr. No, The Mandalorian, and Hot Wheels. The drive-through is a 3/5 and the dine-in quality is a 5/5, which I will detail now. You place your order at the front counter and they call your number/name when it's your time to grab your food. The service is pretty good, but they are so busy usually that it can get crazy and they are pretty rushed in the order taking (but we've never had an issue with the order being incorrect) We always get the Double Cheeseburger with no onions, and add Bronco Sauce. I cannot stress this enough - get the Bronco Sauce ON the burger, if you want that, so it all melds together and gets warm on there with the other ingredients. You can get Bronco Sauce on the side for dipping fries, but absolutely get it ON the burger. The Bronco Sauce is pretty similar to Thousand Island dressing. The sauce, and melted American cheese, and pickles all work together so well. The Big Bronco burger is similar to a McDonald's Big Mac - with the special sauce, lettuce, and tomato. But the Bronco's version is a little better, in my opinion, because it feels more "real" like a burger your dad would make at a family gathering LOL We also have ordered the Garlic Toast randomly a few times, because that's one of my husband's favorite items ever. It is like Texas Toast style, but not very garlicky, and actually more buttery flavored. They have a Facebook liker counter on the front counter top, and you can see it change as likes come in (we did it and watched change LOL). That counter was at 13,730 when we were there last, so that tells you how popular they are in the Omaha menagerie of restaurants. So if you're looking for a classic burger in Omaha, stop into Bronco's, but only if you have time to eat inside and experience it in all its greasy glory.

The burger was paper thin and cold.

This is a burger and small fry for 7.10 ! What happened to Bronco's?!? The burger was wafer thin and cold.

Was hopefully optimistic this place was going to be good and well, it just wasn't. Wanted to try the Omaha staple while on a road trip and unfortunately just had a more expensive than it should be grease fest. Burgers were very average and the pork tenderloin sandwich was extremely dry. Fries (both regular and Laredo (waffle)) were 100% soggy and as you can see by the bag with grease soaking through, execution was definitely lacking here. Cute inside atmosphere and staff was nice, but all in all not a great experience unfortunately.

We are creatures of habit, so we had the brussells and crab cakes again as an appetizer - so delicious! My husband was feeling adventurous and had the scallops. He said they were very good, but the grits with large chunks of bacon stole the show. My short rib grilled cheese was delicious, and the perfectly seasoned fries on the side were the cherry on top. I also had a N/A Watermelon Basil spritz - yum! Beautiful night for a beautiful meal!

While we did not actually come during happy hour, we all agreed we would be back for the food. I think it was a tie between the crying crackers and ahi nachos with brussels closely behind. Do wish the nachos had a little more ahi though as it seemed a little skimpy. With a total of 6 apps split we had the perfect amount that entrees weren't needed. Split a couple bottles of Airfield Sauv, the perfect crisp, barely sweet white wine and immediately looked up where we could buy it. Our waitress was wonderful and slipped us a key to the vault to top off the dinner.

Whipped ricotta had this slightly oiled fresh bread that I'm sure I could have ate the entire loaf of. The salad had a great mix of vinaigrette, candied ginger, and apples. The drinks were also on point, with the walnut old fashioned being our fave. It was the perfect temperature that allowed the richness of the walnut to show through but not overpowering. Our steak dish was a miss but my date had been here numerous times (he's spoke about this being his favorite place for months) and said it wasn't characteristic of it. We let the server know so she could let the kitchen know something might've been different and she promptly removed it; not our intention but appreciated. I think it was just a fluke too since everything else was great. We'll be back!

We ordered mussels, jalapeño shrimp and a hummus platter to start. The smokiness of the mussels was a wonderful twist. Shrimp was very well prepared and the hummus didn't make it to my end of the table. Pictured are 3 of our 4 dishes. St Louis style ribs - great tasting dry rubbed with a super presentation. It was served with some smokey beans and a crock of Mac and cheese. I ordered the Timber Mac. Mac with 5 different cheeses, chicken and smoked pork belly burnt ends. This easily was one of the best dishes I have ever been served. No joke you should order this. We rounded it of with two wood fired pizzas a Italian sausage with the sauce on the side and a Lobster topped white pizza. Both impressive! We had such a great time here. The service, Eve was beyond excellent. The manager also visited and made some menu recommendations ( which we followed). The wood fired open kitchen and the racks of split oak wood throughout left you knowing something special was happening to your meal. We hope to return to Omaha someday and Timber Wood Fired Bistro will be our first stop! Thank you for making this memorable! Ti

Our waitress was great the entire evening - appropriately checking in on us while also cognizant that we were having a meeting. I started off the with zero proof spritzer and that was very good! Reminiscent of an Aperol spritz, but NA. Our table got the seasonal grilled flatbread and the curry fries to share. The flatbread was excellent, best thing I had there all night. The curry fries on its own was very bland! Not sure I could taste salt much less curry. But dipped in truffle aioli and spicy mayo made it very good. There were no vegetarian entrees (not even a token one) on the menu, but they did have a Mac and cheese side. I asked our waitress if I could get that as an entree and she was very sweet and confirmed with her manager and kitchen that this was possible. Well... the Mac and cheese had bacon in it... I was told that they don't put bacon in it usually, so I'm not entirely sure what happened. I had also ordered the house salad with a sun dried tomato vinaigrette and that was fine. Not bad, but nothing stellar either. They were nice enough to comp the mac and cheese (that was taken back after I had two bites) the salad, and the fries, which was very nice of them. They did also offer to make me something else, but again - a pretty limited vegetarian menu, so I declined. I did get the chocolate cake to go and it was very grainy. I love chocolate cake, I'll eat it in almost any form but this tasted stale and had such an odd texture. It reminded me of grocery store cake. Overall a disappointing meal and I won't be back willingly, but two stars for our stellar waitress who was clearly very sorry about the bacon and the flatbread that was very good!
