Bavarian Pretzel Bites & Root Beer
    Karina O.

It was my first time trying the food at Blatt Beer & Table. The only other time I'd been there was during the CWS for drinks. We decided to stop in for dinner since it has a more elevated vibe compared to the other nearby bars that serve food. The place was clearly buzzing with people heading to the same concert at CHI Health Center afterward. For a non-alcoholic drink, I ordered their root beer, which was so good and paired perfectly with my meal. For starters, we shared the Bavarian Pretzel Bites, which were delicious especially with the flavorful dipping sauces. I just wish the portion size was a little bigger. For my entree, I had the Blatt Mac, and I loved the panko crust on top. My husband ordered the Chipotle Chicken Philly and really enjoyed it, though he wasn't a big fan of the cheese sauce. Overall, it was a great experience and I'd definitely come back but I'll try something different.

Had a great dinner at Blatt Beer and Table. Only downside was it was an event menu so the items we were hoping to try weren't available.

We tried this place with the intention of ordering the Schnitzel and Spatzle from their menu....but was really disappointed that it's not available. We settled for the Pretzel bites, Buffalo Mac and the sausage plate. The food we got was good the apps were really tasty. The staff were polite and service was great. The place is pretty average on the noise level, but not annoyingly loud. Definitely another option for dining when in the ball park area.

The happy hour service is great! It was a beautiful day to sit semi outdoors! Just wish the rooftop had been open!

Each time we've been here, the food, drinks, and staff do not disappoint. I feel like most the times we come here it's during event so their menu was limited, but this past time I was able to get the steak and fries. My steak was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Nothing goes better with the steak than an ice cold beer, and there are a ton of options to choose from. My wife loves their margaritas, which are great as well. This is our favorite spot to hang out during the college World Series because atmosphere is awesome. But during a normal weekday, it's great as well.

We stopped in after attending a Supernovas game at the CHI. It was bitter cold and traffic was a little crazy. We got Pretzel Bites and a beer. The food came out quickly and was delicious. The was a mustard based dipping sauce that was really good and that says a lot because I don't like mustard. The service was great, very friendly and made sure everything was good. We have ate lunch here before during the CWS and can easily recommend the Blatt!

Great location! Just stopped in for a drink, snack and to catch the game. The loaded fries with bacon & blue cheese!!! Yummmm Place has a fun vibe!!

Let's start with the Cuban, which I have heard so much about. Wow! This is the best Cuban I have had in town, and the fries were also great. It didn't feel too heavy, and all the different combinations on that sandwich were great. The root burger was also super juicy and perfectly cooked. Even though it is a simple burger with not a lot of toppings, it is still delicious. Not pictured, but their chicken tenders are amazing--I keep coming back for them. You should note that they have a great happy hour menu! The service was super fast, and the place is great to watch some sports or catch up with a friend since they have both indoor and outdoor seating and a bunch of TVs.

This joint is located right at the door step of the College World Series Baseball stadium downtown. There is tons of metered street parking available, within a reasonable walking distance. It has a neat set up. There is the main bar area with a full bar, with seating around it, and dining room seating as well. You will find televisions all around that area. There is also another full bar with seating and a dining area off to the side, which is used for private events and over flow. Additionally, the bar has an outdoor courtyard in the back with seating. It is a nice place to sit if the weather is nice. I came on the night of a big show at the convention center, so they had a limited menu. The staff at the place is very friendly. In addition to their full service bar with signature cocktails, they serve burgers, sandwiches, fish, chicken strips, salads, and sandwiches. I ended up going with the fish and chips. I also got a Spritzer to wash it down. It took about 15 minutes or so to get my food. It was ok. One of the fish fillets were overcooked and very crunchy. The other one was fine though. The fries were pretty good and I loved the spritzer. If I had to do it over again, I would probably have gotten something else. Anyway, this is a convenient bar/restaurant within walking distance of the convention center and baseball stadium. A 3.5 rating would be more appropriate for this place, but that is not an option so I went with a 3 because I felt it was closest to it.

Stopped in because we wanted a bite to eat before headed to our hotel and out for the evening. We enjoyed a few appetizers - nachos and cheese, pretzel bites, and mac and cheese balls. All were very tasty but the cheese served with the pretzel was meh. Plenty of options on tap ranging from craft to familiar brands. Reduced a star because our server didn't let us know about the happy hour (saw a sign so asked about it after we already received our food, but decided to get another appetizer as a result of the deal).

Had a good time here. The ambiance is very nice even though I came at a less busy hour. The restaurant has a nice open feel and the bar has a cool hung construction. The decor is inviting and I'd love to come here on a game day. Right next to the College World Series stadium. The Blatt mac and cheese was great. I actually hate mac and cheese unless it's done right so I took a bit of a gamble ordering this, but I'm very glad I did. The cheese had good consistency and the pasta was a good length and cooked well. I ordered it with bacon which honestly I'd take or leave. If you like bacon a lot, go for it, but personally I think the bacon flavor was a bit overpowering. The root beer was delicious and I would order that all the time. You should get a crowler to go. Service was excellent. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful and did a good job checking in to make sure everything was going well. Would definitely come back again.

Great water - it is very good!

The water is really good. Refreshing and fun to drink. They must have really good filters.

In town for the week. Have no idea why I waited so long before visiting. Happy Hour Specials were great. The pretzel bits and Gruyère cheese fondue was that extra little. Chicken tenders had a wonderful breading and all the sauces were on the side. Don't laugh at me but they had PBR on draft. You had me right then. And something even cooler is a beer canning machine at the bar. You can buy a crowler (32oz) and they pour draft and seal it right there. I thought that was super cool. Kinda why I'm here 2 days in a row, now that I know all of the above. Great and friendly staff. You gotta give it a try!

First off, the ambiance in The City Pub is nice and friendly, with astroturf accent walls, concrete floors, and a big cityscape transport map mural. The service was great, and we were checked on multiple times to make sure our drinks were full and our food was great. The beer was cold and crisp (I had two different ones, and both were awesome). I went with friends, and we all enjoyed our meals. We started with the Brusssels Sprouts and while it wasn't the largest serving, they were excellent with a balsamic and candied pecans adding to the tangy sweetness. Entree-wise, I got the meatloaf, and it came with tasty gravy, mashed potatoes, and steamed veggies. Not too heavy for being meatloaf, but big on flavor! My friends got the Caesar Salad and the Pub Burger. Both were large portions and they really enjoyed what they chose. The food is pretty basic bar food - burgers, salads, and a few others like fish and chips, and the like. The service has been good and the drinks are always nice and fresh and cold. I met my girlfriend there for a little shopping and we started the day with some drinks and lunch (as you should always do before making some purchases.) I asked if it was on a bed of greens, and I'm glad I did, it's actually more off a rice noodle entree with cabbage and carrots etc. So while it is a salad, it might not be that light. All that said, it was DELICIOUS! Loved the flavor of the sesame and peanut vinaigrette. There was plentiful amount of chicken. I left extremely satisfied. The standalone location in Legacy had a cool vibe with great staff who were eager to assist you in any way they can (filling waters, asking if you need more drinks, anything taken away, etc). The Westroads/Flagship Commons spot had none of that charm and service. It is very much a food court vibe for the exact same price that you'd pay at the actual restaurant. When we visited during holiday shopping recently, there was maybe one table seated in their little dining area. We thought we'd save everyone a trip and order at the front, which it appeared you could do. We asked two girls behind the counter if we could just choose a table in their (basically completely empty) seating area to wait for our food. And they said that you're not allowed to sit in this area (even if it's completely empty) if you didn't sit down in that area to have a server take your order. I've never hear of such an asinine policy in my life. I'm paying the same amount (and tipping the same), but I'm not allowed to sit in your dining area because I saved someone a trip and order myself at the front counter? What in the absolute world?? So we took our food and ate it in the communal area of Flagship Commons, which I'm not above doing or anything - I was just very annoyed by the Blatt seating policy (if you couldn't tell yet!) The food was also not on par here than with their brick and mortar locations. Maybe because they don't have as large of a kitchen to make everything from scratch or something, but again - paying the same as at the physical location in Legacy for lesser quality food. Is there a convenience of having this version of Blatt right in the little food court at the mall? I guess, but it's not worth it to me after this experience.
