Gather is one of those restaurants that just gets so many things right. The food is amazing, the space is beautiful, and the service somehow manages to feel polished and elevated without ever feeling stuffy or pretentious. One of my favorite things about Gather is honestly the staff. Sometimes when you go to a nicer restaurant, the service can feel a little intimidating or overly formal, but that has never been my experience here. The servers are always incredibly friendly, welcoming, and down-to-earth while still being knowledgeable and attentive. It makes the whole experience feel special without making you feel like you have to be on your best behavior just because you're eating somewhere nice. And the food is SO good. This is one of those places where I genuinely feel like you can order almost anything on the menu and be happy. Every dish I've tried has been flavorful, thoughtfully put together, and just really well executed. There's clearly a lot of care that goes into the ingredients and the way everything is prepared. It feels creative and elevated, but not so experimental that you're wondering what you're eating. It's still food you actually want to eat -- just done really, really well. The drinks are great too. They have a really nice selection, and the cocktails feel like they fit the restaurant perfectly: interesting enough to be memorable, but still approachable and actually enjoyable to drink. It's definitely the kind of place where I want to order a cocktail, take my time, and make a whole evening out of dinner. Also, DO NOT leave without going downstairs to see their indoor growing space. They grow leafy greens right there in the restaurant, and it is genuinely so cool to see. It's such a unique little part of the experience and makes you appreciate the whole farm-to-table concept even more when you can literally see some of the food being grown downstairs. Even if you're not normally someone who gets excited about that kind of thing, it's worth checking out. The restaurant itself is also just a really cute spot. It feels nice enough for a date night or special dinner, but still relaxed enough that you could come with friends and have a fun, comfortable night out. Overall, Gather is an easy recommendation for me. Amazing food, great drinks, genuinely kind and friendly service, a beautiful atmosphere, and the bonus of getting to see their indoor farm downstairs. It's one of those restaurants where the whole experience feels thoughtful from beginning to end. Definitely check it out -- and seriously, go downstairs! read more

This was my #1 restaurant to visit again after our trip 2 years ago. Overall I'm glad we came here again, we just had one disappointment each. First, the good: --The cocktail I had was delightful--the Pom Sevyn-Five. It had gin, rosemary and sugared cranberries. Those little pieces of sweet cranberry were like little surprise bits of joy. I really, really enjoyed that cocktail. --The seared farro salmon was the best salmon I think I've ever eaten. It was so incredibly crispy and crunchy on the outside. I didn't realize until I was a quarter of the way through but the skin was on top and it was like a cracker, it was so crispy. I loved it! Oh and the farro with sweet potatoes and little cherry toms were such a fun combination. I cleaned my plate. --My husband enjoyed most of his fried chicken. He really liked the super crunchy texture of the coating... mostly. He also enjoyed the pasta. Now the bad: --my husband did not like where the tomato sauce on the crispy fried chicken made the coating turn very mushy. This really needs to be on the side as maybe a dipping sauce so the crispy crunchy coating isn't turned into literal mush. The coating was so well executed but then that sauce ruined every place it touched. --my huge major disappointment was in the pumpkin cheesecake! I took a slice home to enjoy later that night. I was really looking forward to a delicious piece of cheesecake. When I opened the box, I thought maybe they accidentally gave me a brownie but nope, it was just dark (see my pic for the entire piece). I thought, well the brown butter pecans will be a nice touch. I wish I had tried the cheesecake without the topping because I would have cut off all the overcooked dark top before pouring on the best part of the dish. It was so dry and crumbly and burned tasting. The brown sugar pecans were a wonderful topping, but that cheesecake could not have been more overcooked. And that ruined the whole dessert. It wasn't creamy. It was dry and crumbly. The topping was the best part and that's just sad. I was so disappointed that I spent $12 on the worst piece of cheesecake I've ever had. I'll put it this way, if I had been served that piece at the restaurant, I don't care who I was with, I would have sent it back. I know the baker just lost track of the time and it got over baked. It shouldn't have been served. If that's how it was meant to be, I just don't buy that. No baker wants cheesecake to be dry, crumbly and literally burned tasting. I'd go back again for that salmon any day. But I'd just skip dessert. read more

We feasted on: Vegan Wild Mushrooms & GUF Greens (with extra mushrooms instead of egg) served with vegan focaccia bread. We would definitely order this again. If you love Mushrooms, you'll love this. The mixture of varieties works well together. We really liked it. We would definitely order this again. Vegan Thai Noodles - this is a a rich, creamy dish with generous veggies and mushrooms. Great to share. We would definitely order this again. Za'atar Roasted Baby Carrots - order without the honey glaze to be Vegan. Tangy and tasty it works well with the cashew cheese. Watermelon Margarita with Jalapeño infused tequila - we didn't get much watermelon flavor out of this and probably would order something else in the future. read more

Excellent spot in downtown Omaha... service was excellent and food was super fresh. Their grown in house micro greens are nice touch. We really enjoyed the Burrata and Brussel Sprout apps and the Bison, Elk, and Wagyu bolognese was fantastic with the fresh made pasta. read more

Gather is conveniently located in the Old Market area. I strongly recommend making a reservation online ahead of time due to its popularity. Fortunately, there was available seating for us outside on the patio, on a busy Friday evening. The menu looks like it changes often. They had a separate menu with specials as well. Currently, (June 2026) they have a Cobb salad with spam katsu in it. I might need to go back for that alone. It seems like it's an American fusion restaurant. All ingredients are fresh. They use a farm to table concept and an onsite farm for herbs and greens. We opted for the hummus small plate as our starter, fried chicken with pasta as our main. Both dishes were flavorful and packed with flavor. U loved the pickled veggies on top of the chicken. The hummus was made of peas, had burrata, and pesto. It was yummy. There's lots of seating inside, in addition to bar seating. The service was great too. read more

We loved the Maui location so were pleasantly surprised to see this location as well. Service was kind, but a little lagging. We enjoyed our food, but it wasn't as great as what we enjoyed in Hawaii. The ambiance was good and we loved the neighborhood. I hope to try the WY location some day. read more

Visited Gather twice in two days - amazing experience both times in their elevated dining room. They were out of the Caesar Salad and Wagyu Tartare on the first visit so we returned the next day! Elk bolognese was good, Farro salad was excellent, wild mushroom dish was phenomenal, Pork ribeye was incredible, and the tartare and Caesar were perfect! Hats off to the chef for menu creation and execution - truly 5 star experience! I made the reservation on night one through OpenTable and Allison followed up to confirm and adjust timing through the app and on the phone - great customer service! Noah was our bartender both nights and gave great local recommendations and handled the tornado warning like a pro on night two! Thank you all! *Don't miss the hydroponic garden downstairs! read more

I am constantly recommending Gather - both to locals and visitors. It's just the BEST! The staff always makes you feel welcomed and special. They've done such a great job with the menu...something for everyone, and always fresh and thoughtfully put together. Great drink menu too! Last time we were in they helped us find the perfect wine choice. Would highly recommend the front patio once the weather is nice - but the front window area is where we usually request to be (although popping in and sitting at the bar is fun too). Don't forget to check out the urban garden below the restaurant! read more

Gather - Their amazing brussels!!!! - New American Near Me - Omaha, Nebraska

We stopped in at Gather for a weeknight dinner. We had about a 5 minute wait for a table and went down to the basement to check out the hydroponic farm. It was impressive to see how they grow their greens in house! The restaurant was perfect for date night with lower lighting and clean, modern decor. We ordered the wagyu tartare appetizer and it was really delicious. For my entree I ordered the cauliflower salad with grilled chicken. It was really fresh and flavorful and featured greens from the hydroponic farm. It was a little bit smaller portion than I was expecting, with a small chicken breast, but it was amazing quality. We enjoyed our evening at Gather! The restaurant is a little higher price point, but the food quality was good. Everything we had was really fresh and well-sourced! They did seem a little short staffed with lots of tables that needed bussing and the bartender serving a few tables. Overall we were well taken care of enjoyed the fresh menu at Gather. read more

Okay I've been to Gather about a dozen times and this was the first time I got the Thai Noodles and there were PHENOMENAL!! I'll be thinking about this for a long time. Perfect balance of flavors. Umami to keep you coming back. It's my new favorite on the menu! The cauliflower salad was also a star. Big chunks of cherries, couscous, house grown greens, cauliflower, and herbs all balanced into a flavor packed salad. Our waitress was excellent! She knew everything about the menu and very professional! You'll want a reservation on the weekends it gets really busy! Also make sure to carve out some time to find parking the old market is poppin. read more

This place is impressive. The service, the food, the drinks and the herb garden in the basement are all well thought-out and executed. Updating my review because I just had some of the worst service today, understand it's a holiday and busy however for a restaurant of this caliber I expect top class service and it was absolutely horrible. This is an absolute gem! I was in Omaha for work and wanted a solid dinner that was class, healthier, and just overall quality and Gather was it. I ordered the hgs Cobb salad; noting their partnership with the general store on Maui I needed to try it, along with my craving for some spam! The ingredients were fresh, the flavors brilliant, and it was absolutely with the cost. While I did takeaway, I did sit at the bar while they were making the salad and was able to observe and enjoy the physical space as well. It was busy, even on a Thursday, and everyone was having a grand time and looked put together! Next time I'm in town, I might need to sit and stay a while, gather with some friends perhaps, and really enjoy the whole experience. read more

Grabbed dinner at Gather while in Omaha. We had reservations on a Sunday and it got busy as we were sitting there. They have a good happy hour with drinks and food. We got the Brussels sprouts and I felt like they were a little lacking in salt. We ordered the pork ribeye and fries to share. The pork ribeye was SO GOOD. The sides on the plate were perfectly paired with the pork. The portion sizes of French fries and Brussels sprouts were large. I love the hydroponic garden in the basement and the fact that they grow their own greens! Definitely worth a stop! read more

This is located at Old Market sandwiched between different stores. Walked in on a Wednesday evening. Got seated right away. My server Peyton was nice. Ambiance was cozy. I wanted to try the truffle pasta but it was already taken out of the menu. The elk bolognese was fine. Don't get me wrong, it's good; not life-changing though. We had an excellent dinner at Gather recently before going to the theater. We started with the Crispy Brussels sprouts and the burrata cheese. I'm pretty sure they made the burrata in house. For our mains we had the seared farro salmon and the parmesan cream gnocchi. Both were quite excellent, as were our cocktails. Service was great and attentive and the restaurant interior is very contemporary. All the greens came from their own basement hydroponic garden (which you can tour!). As a result, everything was super fresh and very tasty. Will definitely come back here next time we are in Omaha. read more

My husband, brother, and I had a delicious meal here on Fourth of July prior to the downtown orchestra and fireworks. We had made reservations ahead and there was no wait time. The restaurant was very busy, but the service was definitely on point! I got the Peach Sevyn-Five and unfortunately it was not very flavorful. I was hoping for it to be like a French 75, but it fell a little flat. I did try my brother's cilantro margarita, however, and THAT was absolutely fantastic! If you like cilantro, definitely give this a try. It's not very strongly cilantro, but you definitely get the flavor and delicious. For our meal, we shared the crispy Brussels and the spring burrata for starters and the creamy asparagus gnocchi and the Thai noodles for the entrees and truly everything was exceptional. my favorites were the burrata and the gnocchi, but I would so happily eat all of it again! We did get the chocolate torte to go and enjoyed it in the park. It was rich, chocolatey, and fudgy. We got one to share since we were pretty full but quickly realized I could've probably eaten the whole torte myself! Also make sure you check out the urban farm in the basement! read more

I've been to gather a few times, and I've always had a great experience. They have seating on the front patio of the restaurant, the back patio, and inside. The service has always been fast, and the staff give good guidance with the menu. The dishes always have unique flavors that make the dining experience so much more fun. Downstairs, they have an area where you can view their vegetables growing which is very cool to see. They have really delicious cocktails as well. Most recently, I had the chicken and waffles, which had a great combination of sweet, savory, and spicy. I also loved the mushroom appetizer (I can't remember the name), it had a vinegar taste with chili oil and cured egg yolks. I'm tempted to order that dish as my main the next time I'm there. We ordered the kimchi bao buns and the pork belly was SO good, it basically melted in your mouth, the preparation was perfect and paired well with the kimchi flavor. I had a drink with basil in it which was easy to drink and super yummy. This will continue to be a regular spot for me when I visit Omaha. read more

Gather provided a fantastic dining experience on the recent July 4th holiday! Each course left me wanting the next. I especially enjoyed the gnocchi with the creamy pesto sauce (which wasn't wasted!). And everything was served to us by a wonderful waitress. My only critique was that the Peach Sevyn-Five cocktail was lacking in flavor (it tasted more like a hard seltzer than an aperitif). Still, an excellent overall meal! Pro tip: bring family/friends, order several dishes, and share! read more

I was visiting Omaha for worm and stumbled upon this wonderful restaurat. The food is farm to table and some locally grown within the restaurant. It makes for a wonderful concept especially when you can see where you food is being grown. They have an amazing happy hour (food an drinks). To start I had the fries and a jalapeño margarita, both of which where very tasty. They definitely didnt skimp on fry proportions lol. I have the braised short rib for dinner. It was tender and well seasoned. The service was amazing. The food came out pretty quickly. These guys were very attentive and the staff seem to work so well as a team. Major shoutout to Ethan! Went to the Gather Restaurant for dinner in the Old Market. It often takes a bit of time to find a metered parking spot in the downtown area, so you may want to be prepared to walk a few blocks from the restaurant. They have outdoor patio seating or indoor seating. The urban farm basil smash cocktail was good and refreshing, but came in a small glass. For an entree I had the macadamia nut crusted cobia and a friend had the wagyu faltiron. Both of our meals came out lukewarm and were pretty average to say the least. I do recommend stopping to check out the farm downstairs below the restaurant though. read more

I had such high expectations for Gather. The hostess was very pleasant and I loved the bar area but everything went down hill from there. We sat down and our waiter soon approached us asking for drink orders. We had just sat down and hadn't had the chance to look so he said he'd return. 20 minutes later he comes back... he takes our orders and brings us our drinks. He doesn't come back for another 20 minutes. He was very inattentive to the point where I had to get up THREE TIMES and ask the bar staff for assistance. The bar staff was great and they made really great dirty martinis. No one in my group was impressed with their food. I personally ordered the salmon with Jasmin rice. Jasmin rice was mushy and had absolutely no flavor . The salmon was ok at best. Safe to say I will not be returning. read more

Oh my goodness!! This was such a lovely date night! First we were welcomed with smiles into a spacious, clean and inviting establishment! I did not think it would be so big. We sat at the bar and Chelsea gave us the best service and wonderful recommendations! We started with the pork buns and wagyu tartare. The pork buns had great flavor but the tartare was amazing! I enjoyed the bacon fried egg on top more than I thought and the caper shallot relish was a game changer! For entrees we got the PORCINI DUSTED COBIA* (white fish) and WAGYU FLATIRON* (gf) with a side of SIDE OF ZA'ATAR ROASTED BABY CARROTS (gf). The cobia was delightful and light. I recommend making sure you get a bite of the fish, couscous and sauce each time. It blends together perfectly and makes each bite! The wagyu was cooked magnificently and I am always a huge fan for chimichurri! The broccoli and elote were the perfect sides to the plate! The za'atar carrots had the perfect cook and crunch! We obviously had to go with Chelsea's favorite dessert as well. Ending the night with the CARAMEL APPLE CHEESECAKE. If you don't try this you are out of your mind! Graham Cracker Crust, Spiced Apples, Dulce de Leche, GUF Mint.... Do I need to say more? Yum! We also took a tiny part of each item to our wonderful pups for an extra special surprise! They were very happy! So much so we had to bring them by for them to meet Chelsea for a hello pet! Thank yall for an amazing night! read more

I'm sure I ordered wrong. But the other 2 of the 3 people with me did too. We wanted to love this cute restaurant. I get the farm to table but we really needed more seasoning on the food. I've been to Gather a couple of times and I am just so in love with it as a whole. It's easy to understand why it's become a beloved staple in the old market area & Omaha in general! Jubilation! I get to write the kind of review I so rarely do: a glowing endorsement of a restaurant worth its jarring price tag. One glance over the online menu will put doubt in even an adventurous heart but dear readers let me assure you that this is the spot you need to take everyone you know to. Grow Omaha allows you to experience fresh from the farm produce right in the metro by converting its entire basement into a vertical garden. This place is viewable by guests at any time and the only reason I didn't add a picture is because even a photo sells it short. Even in its burgeoning state this model is a breathtaking vision of the future of hospitality and food preparation. I do the restaurant staff a disservice by gushing over the visionary kitchen plan when the cuisine itself was so remarkable. I went with a very modest Bolognese and had my expectations surpassed in every way. Handmade broad noodles, a robust and textured pomodoro cacciatore (to call it marinara would be unjust, not a whiff of anchovy anywhere) and the such splendid elk meat that I vowed never to to try and make it myself again. I had a blueberry cheesecake slice for dessert that did not survive long enough to be photographed, mostly because my compatriot and I couldn't stop telling each other how exemplary the meal was. I cannot wait to spend more money here. read more

Highly recommend. Great food, great service. Love the micro greenhouse downstairs too- very cool to go look at.

What an absolute gem of a place! We were walking through Old Market and this restaurant caught our attention for its "farm fresh" promotion and had no other idea about what to expect. We were able to get a seat pretty quickly and explored the garden downstairs while they prepared our table, which was beautiful to see. I love that they let us see the fresh produce they grow and use in our meals. Our server was very kind and thoughtful. She checked in with us regularly and was on top of making sure we were cared for. The fried chicken mac n cheese was incredible. It had fresh pickled onions and fresno chilies to help cut through the richness of the mac n cheese and heartiness of the fried chicken. It was everything I want in a meal: well-balanced, flavorful, and mixed textures. I'm already excited to return to Omaha to eat here again. Definitely must try while you're in Old Market! read more
