The guacamole was the closest to "typical" but certainly not boring. Queso Birria Beef Tacos were solid; the sauce is what made the difference. Drinks were good; Prickly Pear Mojito was a fav for the wife. We had drinks and guacamole off the Happy Hour menu, but even if we paid the standard price, the overall cost was reasonably inexpensive based on the quality and ambiance for a date night. read more

Anthem was on my radar ever since Flagship Restaurant Group announced they were changing the old Plank space on Howard Street, and it did not disappoint. We rolled in on a Saturday not expecting much in the way of deals -- imagine our surprise when we found out happy hour runs every day until 6:30pm! Flagship always knows how to make a night feel like a gift. We zeroed in on THE CURE pupu platter and it was the right call. Crab rangoon, hatch chili queso, salted charred edamame, popcorn chicken, and yummy fries -- it's the kind of spread that hits every craving at once. The Tex-Asian mashup works way better than it has any right to, and sharing it with a group made it even more fun. The ube espresso martini was an absolute standout. Gorgeous color, rich flavor, and just the right kick. It felt perfectly on-brand for a place with this much personality. The vibe inside is playful and eclectic -- velvet booths, tropical wallpaper, the whole thing. It's clear Flagship put real thought into this space. Whether you're coming for happy hour or a full night out, Anthem earns a permanent spot in the rotation. Omaha needed this one. read more

Fun fusion concept we sat at the bar for Early dinner - they were so so busy - however Staff was busy, not friendly or helpful. The Yummy Fries - were yummy crispy sweat potato fries with fun sauces and Bonita fish flakes. Finally got some free time to check this place out, and I wasn't disappointed!! Went on a weekend, and it was super busy. Didn't have a reservation but was able to get a table pretty quick. They have both indoor and outdoor seating if you have preference. The menu has a little bit of everything for anyone. Started off with crab rangoons, edamame hummus, and tuna wonton tacos. Everything came fresh and super quick. The crab rangoons were my favorite. They were crunchy and the sauce paired really well with them. For my entree I got chicken fried rice. The waitress recommended to add shrimp to spice it up a bit and she wasn't wrong! Great recommendation, and I definitely would come back just for that. The drink menu also has a pretty extensive cocktail list. The espresso martini had to have been one of the best drinks I ever had. First time I went here & it was delicious! My friend & I split a platter called "The Cure." It had popcorn chicken, yummy fries, crab rangoon, edamame & queso with chips. It was $35 on happy hour. It had tequila, sake, yuzi and mango. Delicious! Also got the Hugo Ranch Water. It was good, but a little too sweet from the Saint Germain. For food we got the Cheat Code pupu platter. It was really good and perfect for 2 to split for a meal. We really liked the wonton tuna tacos and jalapeño mac poppers. A great way to try a variety of their appetizers. Anthem was such a lovely experience and brought a new taste to Omaha that the Old Market absolutely needed. The food, staff, and overall aesthetics of Anthem are amazing and such a perfect place for a nice spring lunch date. The patio is the cutest, and the inside of the restaurant truly transports you. The ambiance was very light, dreamy, and full of life and greens. I especially loved the projector showing moving boats down the wall while we enjoyed our meal. We started with the flautas de sol, which were absolutely delicious. They were the perfect mix of crunch and creamy filling, and the presentation was beautiful. Next we split the nam nom noodle salad and bangkok pork, both of which were flavorful and delicious. The eggs in the salad were particularly yummy, and I was pleasantly surprised. Our server, Yadhira, was also the absolute sweetest and most helpful guide to Anthem. She had great recommendations and was very nice, making this experience one of the best. read more

This place is a whole vibe. I went for brunch last weekend and they did not come to play. The moment I walked in and saw a DJ spinning at 10:45am, I knew exactly what kind of day it was about to be. Brunch? No. Brunch with intention. Our server Justin was incredible...fun, full of life, and every recommendation he made was spot‑on like he had a direct line to my taste buds. I started with the Ube Espresso Martini (because why wouldn't I). Then we ordered the donuts, the French toast, and the chicken biscuit. Everything was so filling we only made it halfway through... which is honestly my favorite kind of problem. But the best part? Drinks were 10/10 and I'd come back for drinks and apps. I haven't met a flagship concept I haven't liked, but I wasn't in love with this one. We went opening day and started with drinks and an app, both were yummy and you can tell the rangoons are a version of Blue's. I got the chicken sandwich and my partner got the tuna tacos as they weren't as hungry. Neither left us planning to come back for the entree. The chicken was good and nothing to complain about, but not wow. The tacos were about the same but salty? The updated interior was adorable and the service was great! Fantastic from start to finish. I was busy taking in the incredible decor and atomosphere to notice how quickly the restaurant was filling up at 11am. Our server Yadia -- a true gem! A warm and personable cutesy gal who took care of us. From perfect recommendations, to putting up with our endless photo and video shots, she was a huge reason we had such a stellar first experience at Anthem. On to the food. We started witht Fluata de sol, perfect crips and flavorful at first bite. The dipping sauce and guac were perfect complements. The rolled wrap is stuffed generously with meat as well. Then on to the nam nom salad. Similar to Blatts noodle salad, it was a heaping pile of noodles, like you'd get in Blues bento box, with a great dressing and its huge! Definitely could be a shareable. We also split the braised pork dish with the crisp egg. My first go at this type of dish but I'll definitely try again. The 3 dishes came in right under $50, which I think is fair especially given the portion sizes. Anthem is very similar to other Flagship restaurants while still boasting it's own personality. Food was pretty good. Started with the donuts and sangria then we ordered. I got the KFC chicken biscuit, another got the noodles, and another got the smash burger food came out pretty quickly. Our server was incredible. He was so friendly and checked in on us and gave his recommendations! I was only truly disappointed with the anthem hash browns. It was just a hash brown square and it wasn't very warm. I would think it would have been a side of potatoes. Perhaps they should revamp that. Otherwise enjoyed it and will be back. So beautiful!! What a great experience in downtown Omaha. They have a beautiful entrance with an outdoor patio. They have plenty of seating indoors, also very pretty looking. We started with some house shots- they definetly pack a punch. The mandarin sangria was sweet, and the Hugo ranch water was refreshing. Starting the meal with the loaded Hatch Chili Queso was so worth it. It was truly loaded with meat, veggies, guac, and cheese. The chips are also very sturdy and crispy. My queso birria beef tacos were huge and rich with flavor. Prices are pretty decent and the Asian Mexican American fusion menu was really fun too. I agree with Maddie on the rating but my issue was bartender service. The host desk is right there upon entry. Asked to sit at bar. We were told 10 minutes by one and the other said we could just grab a seat. There were at least 6 unoccupied seats. It's possible our bar request was not heard by the one. Although anyone with reasonable peripheral vision saw us sit (a bartender was standing in front of us and moved down the line without acknowledgment) we had to flag down service... from bartenders that weren't fixing drinks. Some lessons on intentional awareness are warranted. My friend was annoyed to the point that we didn't eat other than flautas although we intended to have dinner. My EXSW margarita and Prick Mojita were very good. I don't think he enjoyed his margarita as much. He also had a Kirin beer. The flautas were very good. There is a patio. Interior seating includes high tops, tables and booths. The kitchen was open. I plan to return to experience a better operation. read more

I visited during their opening week and had a really positive experience with the service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of right away--even before our main server arrived. As for the food, I ordered the jalapeño burger, which was decent but nothing particularly memorable. My friend got a regular cheeseburger, and we noticed our fry portions were noticeably different. Mine was full, while hers was about half the size. On a better note, we both really enjoyed the drinks. read more

Went for brunch Saturday. I do know this is a brand new place so reviewing that owners could improve. Firstly- for a Saturday morning having a DJ that plays very loud music won't be everyone's vibe- can't hear not only the staff but also the conversation at table. Secondly- remind wait staff to introduce themselves and be familiar with the menu - ours did not know the menu. Thirdly- for the mimosa service please bring out a large carafe of juice to go with champagne - the way you are doing it now leads to folks getting crazy way too quickly and tbh doesn't taste good. Next to last- leave salt and pepper on table- bringing it to the table after being requested in little tiny bowls grosses some out due to fingers touches the condiments as no cover. Lastly and most important IMHO--let your customers eat in peace. Stop glaring and staring - running over by multiple staff to remove plates/silverware/ glasses or checking to see if leaving yet. Really was an annoyance that can easily be remedied. . Both tables by either side commented that as well. I think this place has potential am excited to come back in a few months and give another try. read more
