Taco Co is always packed when I go into Benson, so I decided it was time for me to give it one more try after a bad go a few years ago. I was pleased with how fast the service was, our server was kind and had good recommendations for what to choose of the menu. I ordered the shrimp rice bowl, it was flavorful and had a good amount of shrimp in it. I will say for almost $19 it was a bit pricey for the bowl itself not being a large portion. The space itself is laid back, it's got a nice patio if that's your thing! read more

The puffy tacos!!! I love the variety and their special monthly ones. The month we went it was cheeseburger and it was flavorful and filling! Service was quick and friendly and we loved the vibes here. We sat outside and never knew they had such a lovely backyard patio! read more

I don't think I'll ever get sick of this place. My favorite item on the menu has to be the shrimp tacos followed by the churro bites and finally a raspberry frozen marg. I love bringing my friends here on Thursdays for happy hour to get more bang for your buck. The vibes within are comfortable and even include swinging chairs. The waitstaff is also very attentive and make sure everyone is happy and comfortable. read more

YUM!! Their puffy tacos are unique, delicious, and filling! The price point for food is amazing...less than $6 for a steak taco, and you really only need one, especially if you get chips & quac. They also offer nice happy hour options if you go for an early dinner. The space is lovely...we had a bigger group and they seated us at their "swing table" - a porch swing-type seating area that adds to the charm and fun. Great attention to detail with the cocktails...fun glasses and salt rims. I had a really good jalapeño marg! Would definitely recommend a reservation if you're going for dinner as the space is not large and word has spread about how good the food is. Excited to try their outdoor back deck when the weather warms up! read more

Tried their taco of the month chicken esquites! This was such a good taco. The sweet / salty / spicy of the corn and sauces paired with the chicken was to die for. I will be sad if I can't get this again! Great service as always. read more

Weekday dinner with the boys. Diners wait to be seated at Taco Co, which could be timelier. I went to the deck area where 3 waitstaff were located in order to get service (directed to return to the wait area and wait for one of them). Two others in the front didn't seat us. No acknowledgment. The designated roles were not diner friendly. Fail. We were sat on the exterior deck, which is what we wanted. The interior is always cold. My friends had cocktails while I had a mocktail. I ordered a black bean taco and chicken taco along with a side of beans. The beans were my favorite; followed by the black beans taco. The food is more filling than expected. I only go with their hot sauce as I need more flavor. Food is always good. Our waitress, Jade, was great, but they need to improve wait time and seating. Recommended, but be aware that wait can be inconsistent and interior is cold. Otherwise it is a strong 4. read more

Taco co is the best! I love their puffy shells and all the flavors of tacos that they have. My overall favorite is the Baja shrimp taco because the sauce they use on that taco can't be beat! I really like their guacamole and queso and always have to get at least one of them (if not both!). The staff are always nice and helpful and they have such fun decor in the place. A must try in Benson for sure read more

I've been to Taco Co a few times and it's always been pretty good! The chips and dip were a little pricey, but we ordered during happy hour so it wasn't so bad. It was also super delicious :) I usually get the steak tacos because they are soooo good. The meat is seasoned well and always really tender. The puffy taco shell makes the meal super filling too even though I just got two. Even though it was busy, the food came out pretty fast and there was a fun vibe inside. read more

The taco are really good. I ordered two but realistically can only eat one. The taco huge. Will be back in the future.

They have really good tacos and drinks. The food takes a while to come out and the service could improve but it's not as bad as to not go back. The restaurant is at an old Val so it's pretty cool to see it. Overall I would recommend anyone looking for a good food and drinks. read more

Taco Co was one thing down and that is aesthetic, from the interior/design to the cute drinks and yummy looking food they are thru and thru. Everything we tried was SOLID and had decent flavor (you have to pay for chips and salsa which the salsa was nothing special) my only bone to pick is everything is an upcharge or extra so be aware. Again food and culture are very good quality it's just my opinion on getting more bang for your buck. You won't go wrong hittin up this spot and i WILL b back read more

Taco Co. will always be a fav and a Benson staple. You can't beat their delicious margs, chips and dip flight, the puffy tacos, and their awesome service. It's such a cute place with its historical and authentic touches, plus incorporating Maria's and their famous burrito gravy. I love how they recognize their patrons and instagram check ins and show their pictures on the screens. This is one of our favorite girls night spots. The puffy tacos are so good. My favorite is the carnitas, but love trying them specials. The beans. You have to try them. Unique and delicious. The street corn is my favorite in town. You must start with chips and queso and a pitcher of prickly pear or jalapeno margaritas! The vintage bank decor is so special and fun. Our server last night was Zoe and she was amazing, but they are all very fun and professional here! read more

I was blown away!! I loved everything about the place. The menu is small but has everything I could want or need. I loved my mule cocktail. The chips and queso that we ordered for the table was rich and creamy. The beef taco bowl was hearty and filling. The special that day was their chz burger puffy tacos and I thought it was spot on for a cheeseburger!! The puffy shells are unique and make the servings huge. 2 tacos was more than enough!!! The atmosphere is very fun and trendy. We absolutely loved our server, Noah. He was incredibly helpful and friendly. He answered our every question and would find an answer for anything he didn't know. He made the experience even better!! I loved Taco Co. and I think it's a great addition to the Benson area. read more

Not my favorite place, especially for tacos. I like the puffy tacos and the margarita bags, but they aren't anything stellar or that I'd suggest going out of my way for. I like the ambiance and that they took an old bank and kept how it once looked as part of their vibe. read more

After hitting up Yoshitomo and the beercade, I was ready for second dinner! I've been here once before last year and the tacos were dang good so this was an obvious choice for me before heading home. I ordered the birria taco and the brisket taco. Both were stuffed with meat and were tasty AF. The employees are always nice and the food is always made in a good time. I am definitely going back to Taco Co. to try some of their other, amazing tacos. read more

The food was bad. It was too loud to hear my acquaintance. And the service was slow. The food was also cold when it came out

This is my favorite restaurant, and the recipes have such a special place in my heart (and stomach)! I love that they are pretty quick and their food is fantastic. It's a great place to stop on a weeknight to break up the week. I always start with chips and queso - you'll want to ask for an additional basket of chips to make sure you get all of the delicious queso. The steak, carnitas and brisket tacos are my favorites! The taco fillings are seasoned perfectly, and have a great balance of meat/cheese/cold ingredients. Their signature puffy shell brings it all together. The tacos seem small at first glance, but are very filling. I also try their monthly rotating tacos every once and a while, and I've yet to be disappointed by their creativity! Their drinks are delicious but a bit expensive for my taste. I typically opt for a $3 corona when they are on happy hour! If you're out in a large group, the pinata drink is a must! It is served in a large ceramic llama and will get the night started right! Their service is good! I often see the same bartenders and wait staff, and they are so friendly. I can typically get in and out in 45 mins and everything comes pretty timely. If you're stopping in during peak hours or during Taco Tuesday, there may be a short wait, but they always keep it moving. read more

My new favorite nachos, margaritas, and back patio. Located in the north end of the Benson district, it was easy to find parking right outside during the weeknight. I was offered to eat inside or out; choosing the unassuming back patio oasis. This was a perk. I ordered the spicy marg to drink; nice tang complete with Tijan rim. I shared a carne asada taco and chicken nachos...perfect size for two people. While the nachos look 'loaded', it's a perfect melody of elements. The chips to toppings are also a nice ratio; not a lot of chips or toppings left at the end. The tacos had a street taco flavor but large fried shell size. Our service was nice and the prices were reasonable for ingredients and amounts offered. read more

What a great first visit. I met a friend for appetizers after work on a Tuesday. We made a reservation the day before and went right in to our table. The chicken nachos were delicious. The prickly pear margarita was really delicious. The ambience was loud and lively. I parked in the side of the building. Benson is not r to be best on weekends, but on this Tuesday night we fared will. I will definitely go back and with the Husband next time. read more

The atmosphere was great! I give it two stars for being aesthetic. Everything else was poor. We each ordered one taco and not a single one of us finished it. The ground meat tasted like beef jerky, the carnitas tasted like they were old, and we were still not digesting them hours later. The food made the whole group sick. The sour cream was watery. The quac was great but the queso also had a weird taste. The server could clearly see that nobody finished a single thing on their plate and didn't ask about it which is poor service in a restaurant. I'd much rather go down the street to Mula. read more

Taco Co is always a solid choice when craving puffy tacos! The decor is super cute and their patio is a nice, quiet spot in the chaos of Benson. Every server we've had there has been a delight and attentive. Their menu is simple, which I appreciate because I always get menu decision paralysis. The drinks are so fun, and they make it hard to say no to getting at least one. I usually go for a flavored margarita and my husband likes the ranch water there. It's almost too smooth. Be sure to also check out the adult juice pouch options! For food, we always start with the dip trio because why have to choose? I would bathe in that guac if I could and my husband loves the queso. It's a bit spicy so heads up for those sensitive to spice! One of my go-tos is the Baja shrimp. It has lightly breaded shrimp and the creama on it perfectly balances out the flavors. My second option I usually go for is between carnitas or biria, which are both full flavored and that biria consommé is great. I would just recommend not getting the biria to go, as it was pretty soggy once I got it home. The only downside for me is the pricing. It's a pretty casual place but with tacos ranging from $4-$6 and needing 2-3 to fill up, plus I can never say no to the dip tro and a one of the adult juice pitches, a full meal here adds up. read more

I underestimated the size of these puffy tacos! I got carnitas, carne asada, shrimp, and two others! Their drinks were so fun and tasted great! We came here on a Saturday night and it was completely packed. If you wait it doesn't seem like the wait takes too long. The service was friendly even when they were busy! I made the mistake of ordering 5 tacos and my spouse ordered 6! We are 1-2 max, they definitely fill the tacos up, so the portions were huge! The vibe in here is so fun, great place to visit if you're in the Benson area! read more

Mula's larger & brighter sister in Omaha! Hanging benches, margarita juice pouches, and the best taco bowls. Really fun place for groups & celebrations! If you could please build a Taco Co in West O, I'd really appreciate it! This place is legit. First, the decor and place itself is beautiful inside. I want to come back when it's not 1000 degrees and sit on the patio. They have a happy hour, which we ordered the nachos. The nachos were amazing. They do not skimp! The puffy tacos were huge and packed full of meat. Our server Ryan was fun and upbeat. Overall the place is a 10. Can't wait to go back! read more

We LOVE Taco Co! The food is fantastic, but honestly we come back for the staff. Our favorite server, Abby, is exceptional--friendly, attentive, and professional from start to finish. You can't go wrong with Taco Co, especially with their signature puffy tacos. read more

I feel so fortunate to live so close to Taco Co! I have never left the restaurant feeling disappointed or still hungry! The staff there is typically so upbeat and friendly, which just really adds to the dining experience. Seating is fun and flexible. Patrons have the option to sit at regular tables, benches, or if you're lucky enough, the swings! When dining, my absolute favorite thing to get is the steak taco with their signature puffy shell. It includes Chipotle-Adobo Marinated, Flame-Grilled Steak with Cheese, Lettuce, & Tomato. Every single bite is delicious and the shell adds the perfect bit of texture! I would also highly recommend saving a little room for their Churro Bites with chocolate sauce. They are to die for. read more

My friends and I giveTaco Co 6 thumbs up! Food was great, service was great, decor great...lots of winning. We stopped in to Taco Co prior to a show at the Orpheum. I wanted birria tacos and my friend wanted to try puffy tacos. We both found what we wanted so it was an easy decision to go here. The hardest choice is narrowing down to one taco because two just might be too much after sampling the chips and dip flight, like the three us of did. We had zero complaints. The queso is bomb. I don't know why it's so good and usually I do not like non-white queso, but wow! It is a bit spicy. The chips are thick and crunchy, guac is fresh, salsa was so good, and the taco was bomb. Full of flavor and beef. We will be back! read more

I would not market these as tacos. I saw "puffy taco" and asked if they were corn rather than flour and the cashier said they were flour. They're in bread, not a tortilla. The rice was sorta bland, the beans were okay. The cheese on everything was just weird, I don't know how exactly to describe it other than slightly off-putting. The taco filling itself was pretty alright, but I would be surprised if the meat was frozen. And again, they're in bread, not tortillas, which gave this odd sweetness that just wasn't for me. read more

Tacos and Margaritas? This is an easy win. Actually, we had nachos the last time we went...still delicious. The cucumber/jalapeno margarita is delicious (pro tip: ask for a 50/50 mix). Nachos are easily shareable between 2 people. Save your money for multiple margaritas...they're not large but they are delicious. Sit on the back patio on a nice night, and you won't be left disappointed. Inside the restaurant was strangely cold, but had very cool decor and seating, with a full bar. Wish it was a little brighter on the inside, but we always elect to sit on the back deck if it's doable. read more

Always a pleasant visit to Taco Co! The atmosphere is perfect and speaks "Benson" undoubtedly, and it always seems to be packed on a Friday or Saturday night. The seating is fun and creative, with swings and decorative pillows, and the restaurant is unique and fun. We ordered the queso dip to start, as well as a couple of their adult capri-suns! Pricing on the drink pouches is very reasonable for the amount you get, and the taste on all the ones I've tried are wonderful.. But obviously the real MVP of this restaurant, are the Tacos. No, they aren't traditional tacos, they're giant, poofy, fried tacos. It almost feels like you're biting into a sandwhich with the amount of tortilla, fried to a delicious golden-brown on the outside. I tried the beef, carnitas, and barbacoa on this visit; and to be honest I think the regular ground beef is the real star of the show. It's seasoned well and super flavorful, and probably will be my sole taco order in the future. My girlfriend had the black bean option for one of hers, and said it was actually better than the ground beef... not sure I believe her on that one, but no sense in arguing! The queso dip is a bit spicy, but wonderful as well, and dumping a chip-full onto my tacos absolutely took them over the top. I'll continue to dine here, and reccommend you do the same! read more
